As explained by Helen Mirren on FB. the strongest thing you can do is walk away—not because you have nothing to say, but because you recognize that some people aren’t ready to listen. LIARS are never ready to listen. They are just here to beat you over the head with their NONSENSE and INSULTS. That is why I have 4 on ignore now.3 points

If only I had known about this before, though, I might have put people on ignore. I mean, I'd feel better about it if I knew Judi Dench or Meryl Streep agreed.2 points

The Dow was up to 44.9 and now it's down to 41.2, a 9% loss. I'm really surprised to see Trump hang onto his war on Canadian manufacturing in the face of these losses. When this NA trade war ends the Dow will make all that ground back quickly. Investors respond sharply to strength when it's applied properly, like is happening with DOGE.2 points

I mean it is so very typical leftist to ignore differing views. It plays to their tendencies. They tend to ignore voter sentiment when it disagrees with them and then call that democracy or an attack on democracy depending on who won the election. They also tend to ignore data, theories and science that doesn't play to their ideology. They enjoy sounding chambers that do nothing but repeat preferred ideological theories. As a result, they would prefer to dismiss any dissenting opinions or facts by degrading those that oppose them.2 points

Isn't is rather curious that 2/3 of Liberal members were disqualified from voting? The mainstream media doesn't seem interested in this....oh right, it's the mainstream media.🙄2 points

It's no secret that the vast majority of Democrats believe Donald Trump is Hitler reborn. Hell, the ldiots below all but say it in their stupid rants: https://democrats.org/news/🚨-trumps-inauguration-features-neo-nazis-and-hitler-salutes-from-top-ally/ So where are the concentration camps? Where are the military invasions? Where is the 2nd Holocaust? Does anyone really know what in the f*ck these retards are crying about?1 point

The article argues that the Freedom Convoy was not an insurrection but a legitimate protest against government overreach. It refutes claims that the convoy was violent, extremist, or attempted to overthrow the government, highlighting inconsistencies in media and political narratives. The author criticizes the use of emergency powers, freezing of bank accounts, and the treatment of convoy leaders like Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, calling it an authoritarian overreach. The piece also challenges accusations of foreign funding, Nazi affiliations, and business disruptions, citing legal rulings and intelligence reports that found no security threats. Ultimately, the article warns that labeling protests as insurrections sets a dangerous precedent for democracy. Read the article here: https://substack.com/home/post/p-1586304511 point

Mark Carney had more visibility than the other candidates, journalists and political commentators only talked about Marc Carney to the point that I only heard about Frank Bailis during the leaders' debate and I didn't know he was a candidate, but it is certain that when a candidate has more visibility than another or others he will automatically have more popular support, so he fraudulently usurped the Liberal throne and the position of Prime Minister because the media manipulated the leadership race, the police must investigate and put those responsible for the fraud in prison and remove him from his position.1 point

I am Canadian and conservative, and i do live in Canada, and i do support the conservative party of Canada. Anyone who supports the WEF liberals or the NDP communists are pretty much traitors to Canada. Just look at what those two clown, political party's have done to Canada in the past 9 years. We went from a pretty stable country to now becoming a woke and broke country. Another four more years of WEF liberalism and NDP socialism and the Canada of the past will be no more. We may soon become a totally bankrupt and will be living in a slavery and tyranny like country. Carney is a WEF globalist shill and he will do whatever the WEF globalists tell him to do. Corney cannot win the next election or Canadians are pretty much doomed. Just my opinion.1 point

Looks like you defeated your own argument there. The nature of a President's ability to declare what constitutes an emergency has been used long before Trump. Nothing illegal here and no real court precedents binding Trump here either.1 point

I doubt it will have any real impact, which is a shame because to beat crystal clear what they're doing is horribly horribly wrong as I have already said in other posts. It is not protest when you deliberately destroy people's private property because you're mad at someone that happens to work for the company. This is absolutely horribly wrong and the people should be caught and prosecuted but I doubt very much that that will happen. If anything I suspect this will increase the number of incidents1 point

And the rules were not the same. You had to buy a membership to be a conservative. You couldn't just sign up a bunch of people, you would have had to pay for them all as well. Four times as many people were willing to put cold hard cash down to be a member and vote as they were to sign up for the liberals for free. I know what the polls are saying right now, but I also know that twice as many people turned up for Poilievre's rallies than The coronation of Carney, i know a lot of people had been sold on PP for over a year now, and i know that leadership bumps are flashes in the pan. If carney had gone literally from the convention into an election he might have been able to ride that and I honestly believed he was going to do that and have justin call an election before he'd even been installed. The fact that he wasn't smart enough to do that shows precisely that he's not a great campaigner. It sounds like he's going to try and form government and have a cabinet and actually try to run the country a little bit before he calls an election and that is just going to make him look horrible.1 point

It's not that different in BC, the Climate Action Tax Credit goes to those with lower income. Or thru direct transfers (ie to low income folks) that result in little to no net gain for the government. But I suppose if trying to do anything at all to mitigate AGW is just so much communism, the battle was always lost before it even got started.1 point

There’s a big difference with the Trudeau government. They’ve made everything worse with record immigration with no regard to its impact on services and housing. And the carbon tax has helped make everything more expensive. Both those things wouldn’t have happened if the Conservatives had been in office.1 point

Not even sure what you're implying here, that obsolete equipment is just as worthy as the latest modern equipment is....Well lets take a look at the 1 st gulf war, US abrams tanks did not suffer any losses to Iraq's T-72 was that just luck, maybe iraqi tankers were shitty shots, or maybe the M-1 abrams was a much superior tank....i got examples if you need them....modern equipment saves lives, it gives an advantage on the battlefield why would you not want that for our military people, why do you hate them so much.... Well you danced, i showed you a few things one that we are the second highest paid military in the world....But i can show you dozens of examples of military trades not up to civilian counterparts income.... MP's do not make 1/2 of what local policing departments or RCMP make....lets not even talk about what RCMP officers made in Afghanistan for their teaching jobs....thats after some joe walked off the street and put in 4 years as a officer where they start off at 71,000 a year and within 36 months up to 115,000....Note this is base pay not including any benefits over time etc.... https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/salary-and-benefits Government is looking at ways to bring their spending to 2.% of GDP this would be on e option, pay raises...plus new benefits more in line with the RCMP Every Canadian citizen is free to apply for the forces, or for that matter any public service job. with exception of those not medical qualified...Forces are crying for people, can take in thousands....Not many civilians jobs meet any Military standards....No over time, you could be forced to work days on end no nappy, very few are asked to sign on to unlimited liability, meaning doing your job could result in your death...so your comparison is not even close to the truth , I'm starting to think your career was totally in the office on the ground. Anyone regardless of trade while in a conflict zone is in danger of losing life and limb...take a look of that Buffalo flight over Syria, that was shot down those men and women were on a peace keeping mission....so cut the crap and down playing risks military members face on a regular basis... Yes americans get paid less, but they also have many benefits that we do not, subsidized housing, family health care plan, education plans, subsidized food, cloths, house hold furnishing everything available in their PX. plus many more... Many companies provide free housing for employees , like the oil patch,US military, most other militaries... Canada use to until someone complained now PMQ rent is based on what ever the local economy is charging... for homes built in the early 50's Also the military need housing to fulfill need of the military, since no one gets a choice of where they get posted take edmonton alberta, not many service members can afford a million dollar plus home on civvy street, so they stay in PMQ's of which there is a limited amount...it use to be a rule so many members had to be in PMQs so they could be recalled faster, very few people actually lived off base....today housing has outpaced soldiers wages, like in toronto, edmonton, Vancouver, ETC...again why do you hate them so much...besides this is another option that even our military and liberal government has agreed to invest in...i think they would know much better than you or i.... Well SAR equipment is not going to war is it....having civy maintain equipment is a huge red flag, if we need to save money....maybe it is because Aircraft mechs are hard to come by, the army and navy are not the only ones feeling a man power crunch....Troops do cost a lot, hence why we need to increase our budget and fulfill our NATO obligations, not to mention all the other agreements we have signed on to...1 point

Have you noticed any difference in your lives based on which party is in the government? I can say from my Finnish perspective where we always have coalition-governments that I really haven't. I guess if one lives near the poverty-line then cutting the benefits is something really hits the everyday life of such a person or if somebody is loaded with money whose dividends could be taxed with a different rate based which government taxes makes a huge difference but ordinary people rarely see any difference which government there is.1 point

Have you presented this conclusion to the IPCC? If you actually have evidence of this and it checks out you'll be I'm line for a Nobel prize, millions in cash and prizes and of course you'll be buried under a pile of underwear that would make Steven Tyler blush. You could single handedly save the global economy and bring peace to Earth. Have you thought about that? No one is getting rich off Canada's carbon tax. 90% of it is returned to lower income people 10% goes to AGW initiatives and the cost is born by those people who produce the most emissions, which is to say wealthier Canadians who can afford the tax. Of course these are who can also afford to make the sort of investment in the emmission free technology it takes to avoid the tax and they get subsidies for doing so which is what the other 10% collected goes towards. It's called revenue neutral for a reason and that neutrality is why so many economists support it. It also leaves fossil fuel companies out of it and all they'll see is demand for their products decline. Something they're already planning for. Everything Poilievre is proposing that you're voting for will do less, cost more and make the people who own fossil fuel companies rich off subsidies. This will only incentivize them to stay in business as long as possible thereby making AGW worse - and no rebates for low-income people.1 point

And just how do you think that war would end if not by surrendering land to Russia? That incursion into Kursk is being squashed. Russia is advancing along the main line. Greenlanders may not want to be Danish but they want to be Americans even less. I doubt what Greenlanders want is even a consideration for Trump. Britain went to war because Falklanders didn't want to be Argentinians. Denmark is a NATO ally, the US wanting it for defence reasons is totally bogus, they have a treaty that allows the US to have bases in Greenland and they already have one at Thule.1 point

It's not just Trump that's making Canadians back away from PP, the whole right-wing brand is wearing thin. Vote woke go broke? And And wastes it simply to throw accusations, lies, and vague promises and no real leadership. His lame ads against Carney as 'just another Justin' and re-running Singh 'only in it for the pension' point out in spades they're incapable of adapting to any change in situations. As does his late to the bandwagon appeal to nationalism even as he copies the Republican theme of their US campaign. Loser.1 point
