  1. Great so it is not a crises is it....the house is not burning down....see you in another 40 to 50 years we'll talk about the next step... The liberal government failed to sell this to Canadians, can't just call it a crises and walk away from the mic...collect some money give it back to Canadians and call it a win...Your side failed....all the blame belongs to the man in charge of this circus....and in the coming election we will see what the conservatives come up with....

  2. Leaded gasoline consumption rose rapidly in the early 1960s and peaked in the 1970s. As a result, Reuben and his colleagues found that essentially everyone born during those two decades are all but guaranteed to have been exposed to pernicious levels of lead from car exhaust. Finally, it all makes sense. Here's a picture of your leader. The very best and brightest guy you've got. In fact, he got over 95% of the votes your last primary 🤣: Next...

  3. I would like to thank "Team Canada" for their good faith arguments based on knowledge and factual information. It certainly has not been easy in 2024, to debate with a bunch of MAGA Hyenas, but you were all up for the task, and I commend you for it. Team Canada is composed of: @Michael Hardner @myata @robosmith @BeaverFever @Hodad @Moonlight Graham @eyeball @Moonbox @Black Dog @Queenmandy85 @Politics1990 @herbie @Radiorum Sorry if I forgot anyone. You made 2024 much better. Thank you for believing in democracy.

  4. when Norway discovered oil in the 1970's they nationalized the profits and now have one of the largest sovereign wealth funds on earth. Government Pension Fund of Norway Canada just bends over for Big Oil. One could even say that these private entities rule us as all things "conservative" seem to come from Alberta politics. and its just another example when Dannielle Smith is bending over for Big Oil instead of supporting Canada first. Ford says Canada must come first as Smith breaks with premiers on Trump retaliation

  5. The Gaza war in making huge strides now, which weren't in any danger of materializing any time soon while Biden was in power. Just 5 days before "all hell was scheduled to break loose" if the hostages weren't released, Hamas made a deal to release the hostages. I don't think that war will end as long as there are still tunnels under Israel, where Hamas can sneak a nuke, so I think that progress there is doomed to fail for some time to come, but de-escalation is at least palpable, instead of the constant escalation under Biden. **Remember that just at the time of the election Iran started dropping ballistic missiles on Israel, and Israel was attacking Iran directly.** Talk of peace on Jan 20th in Ukraine is still the main subject of discussion there, and escalations have turned into talks of POW swaps.

  6. Only three rules: 1. One (everyone) has the right to physical safety (no violence) 2. Everyone the right to emotional and psychological safety (no harassment, threats, coercion) 3. Everyone can have an expectation of reasonable convenience (accommodation) as long as it doesn't significantly and unduly inconvenience others Simple? And no need to update the books every so many years on every new ideology drive. I can assure anyone that within these simple and natural guidelines a solution can be found to any practical problem (if skeptical, hire me for a demonstration). Reality cannot be denied. The rules are universal and reciprocal. The majority exists. Majority is not guilty nor owes to minorities anything additional and extra to the universal rules. Accommodation of minority(ies) cannot happen via a significant inconvenience to the majority. Extremes: Wokism: Majority doesn't exist (denial of empirical reality). Majority is guilty and/or owes more. Accommodation of minorities can be achieved via progressively increasing inconvenience to the majority. Ideological drives and/or agendas can be imposed and pressed onto the majority on a whim or by political expedience. Fascism: Minorities do not exist. Minorities are abnormal and potentially dangerous. Minorities can be inconvenienced, harassed, persecuted and so on. Minorities can be made scapegoats and distractions in fascist ideological drives and agendas. For the rest of us: Live and let live as an old golden rule. Simple, really?

  7. Do cultists ever get tired of seeing the Dems just levelling vicious and completely unsubstantiated slander at political opponents? Is even one of you guys getting a bit tired of it? "OMG, a woman claims to have been nearly raped by the appointee at some point in the late '90s at a house somewhere in NY or NJ but the poor thing has no evidence or witnesses. *nom nom nom nom* WE HAVE TO BELIEVE! *nom nom nom nom*" That's a great characterization of the Dem thought process in action if I do say so myself.

  8. Natives do not have a right to control the resource industries. They may have a right to be consulted in the use of a piece of land which they occupy or may have a real impact on them. But apart form that, they should not expect to be involved. Natural resources falls under the authority of the provincial governments. Natives are about 5% of the population and should not be making decisions about natural resources that have a serious affect on the non-natives who are 95% of the population. Court cases have said natives have the right to hunt, fish, and trap on unused crown land.

  9. It doesn't go against Canada's interest as a whole. As is usually the case when you on the left find someone disagreeing with you you must cast them as an evil person with ill intent . This is about a difference of opinion as to how to proceed. Smith believes one way is best, the other premieres are interested in another way, and frankly given the federal treatment of alberta combined with justin's complete lack of action on this front so far it's not unreasonable that she might have a different take on how to handle it. She wants her people to have jobs and have an income and make money and have a good life. She is hired to protect that. That does not make her an evil person no matter what you claim

  10. The irony is lost on Trumpers that this whole election was about lowering the cost of living but staggering tariffs will do the opposite. Trump says there's nothing Canada makes that the US needs. Well if that's the case why do they buy from us? Because it's cheaper or better? How are US companies not screaming at Trump to not do this?Imagine an American company importing products from Mexico to export to Canada. Would that not be double tariffed? One thing I haven't heard in a few days is about Canada becoming the 51st State. I think the focus groups Trump listens to have reported back to him how silly it makes him look to keep saying that.

  11. Yes , because liberals don't politicize anything.. Let's clear the air...Justin has had 10 full years to accomlish anything he wanted to...most of that he has enjoyed a majority of support, so anything was possible, ANYTHING...he choose to do nothing thats not on harper, me any conservatives thats on liberals and liberal voters because you voted for him 3 times in a row.... Blaming shit on harper is a worn out excuse, justin has used it for 10 years now....Harper paid for his mistakes by not getting reelected....just like justin is going to pay....You saying conservatives have no plan means nothing, PP plan has been put in the media hundreds of times, and your going to hear it more as the election comes closer....i can assure you your not going to like it...but it is going to be better than the liberals inaction plan.... Are you a climate expert now, if not how can you say conservatives are going to make it worse....you have not even taking the time to find out what the plan is....your just chirping into the wind right now... Thats what most canadians feel right now , climate change is OK as long as i don't have to invest in it...paying a few more cents at the pumps is their limit...Climate change is not an election issue, housing prices , food prices, trump those are the things Canadians want fixed right now, climate change may place a distant 4 or 5 place... The left can chirp all it wants it does the same thing when it comes to social programs we cant afford, Canadians don't care if we cant afford them, they want their piece of the pie....another example of that is during the pandemic, how many canadians applied for programs they did not deserve or qualify for... it cost the country billions...Canadians have always had their hands out....it has become who we are now....gimie gimie .... Even the liberals are changing strips, on the carbon tax they don't believe in it either.... Freeland would ditch consumer carbon tax if chosen leader: source

  12. Oh give up politicizing everything. We had 2 terms of Harper and he didn't do S.F.A. either. We've gone umpteen elections and are headed for another with Tories having no plan whatsoever. And look south where Drill Drill Drill is their version of Axe The Tax, they're willing to make it worse. It's the attitude of I want more money right f*cking now versus spend a nickel towards the future

  14. MAGA m0rons politicizing everything. I suppose because removing lead from gasoline was too 'woke' or 'leftist' for their f*cking troglodyte brains. FFS the first ICE engines invented ran on alcohol, they knew the octane benefit from Day One and only used tetraethyl lead cuz when gas cars got popular because their contemporary ass-backwards dopes had banned and heavily taxed the production of alcohol at the time.

  15. let me ask you this... the certificates of ascertainment identifying Trump in states that also Biden won exist, do they not? the ones referred to by Pence, the electors that signed them, Chesebro and others... the ones in the possession of the DOJ... those ones? the ones that electors have already been convicted of producing? 16. No, the opposite is said about Poilievre. He wasn't born in the west but is very much a Westerner having been raised and educated there. His wife could be called an easterner tho she wasn't born there either i believe. I'm pretty sure she immigrated with her family. Too lazy to look it up and double check but i'm pretty sure.

  17. political ideologies are religions. think of the basic drivers. you have two politicians who want to be elected. their constituents just want them to consult with them on decisions and represent them when they make those decisions. political parties were never part of what the founding fathers imagined. they are how democracy is controlled by a few. political parties built infrastructure to win elections on branding. the branding is how the politicians differentiate themselves. the social sciences have provided over and over again that given a particular issue that a group of people easily come to a consensus irrespective of political ideology when political ideology is removed from the experiment and that those same people do not come to a consensus when political ideology is included in their deliberations. the people don't get sold representation... they get sold a brand of power. and that brand of power is a fabricated belief system. and fabricated belief systems are the same as religions. "political ideologies are like failed religions" - Jordan Peterson (before he started dressing like Don Cherry and found that one could make a lot of money pushing political ideologies)

  21. You just can't comprehend and take all the aspects of this issue into consideration for the exact same reasons that you found grade 5 overwhelming. They were still terrorists, planning to kill innocent people due to their own religious bigotry. Obviously some aren't. A large number of people on this planet are only "muslims" because they live in places where people who commit apostasy still get the death penalty, or get beaten and harassed and discriminated against, or where women who don't wear the hijab/burqa, etc get beaten up, raped, or thrown in jail. There are even devout muslims who aren't religious bigots. But just remember, for every person who's willing to blow themselves up and kill a bunch of children, there are hundreds of others who support that in some less self-destructive ways: verbally and financially support it verbally or financially support it quietly support it are ok with it some of the time are neutral are not in favour of it but are too afraid to say anything about it are dead against it but are too afraid to say anything about it There are tens of millions or muslims around the world who see terrorism and religious bigotry as normal. For the entirety of the time the Ottoman Empire held sway in the Middle East, deeply discriminatory religious bigotry was codified into laws which were enforced by the police, judiciary and citizens alike. It's a central theme of your posts here. "Everyone else does it too!" I know what the topic is, but I still reply to your stupid posts. You just don't care about honesty or integrity and you're committed to wallowing in your own ignorance because you'd rather sound politically correct than think and learn.

I bet you were one of those people during the pandemic mask shaming everyone and acting like a piece of cloth over your face would do something. Cheering on Biden as he continued to require masks on airplanes when it was the end of the pandemic and everyone had long abandoned them. LOL

  25. This comment is just aggressively, offensively stupid. It's hard to believe that the harmful effects of lead exposure can be treated as a culture war issue, but apparently here we are. This problem was identified and solved back before Republicans had completely abandoned science and reason in favor of the mindless spite that you've demonstrated here. And really, you should be pissed off about it. Without leaded gas you might have hit triple digits.

  27. You think it's an accident? This all started when trudeau tried to axe Freeland and those two blew up. Trump's response to that and since has been so weak that he knew that he's letting a bull loose in a china shop. Everybody with half a brain knows that this is what he wanted. So in chaos before a negotiation is textbook trump. But there's really no way around it right now. Justin waited way too late to step down and Freeland waited way too late to torpedo him and now we are where we are and there's no going back. With a lack of leadership at the federal level the provinces are going to do what they feel they have to and inevitably there will be disagreements as to how the best way to proceed is

  30. Trump fake electors plot "The Trump fake electors plot was a scheme to submit illegitimate certificates of ascertainment to falsely claim U.S. president Donald Trump had won the Electoral College vote in certain states, following Trump's loss in the 2020 United States presidential election. After the results of the 2020 election determined Trump had lost, the scheme was devised by him, his associates, and Republican Party officials in seven states,[1] and it formed a part of Trump and his associates' attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election. The intent of the scheme was to pass the illegitimate certificates to then-vice president Mike Pence in the hope he would count them, rather than the authentic certificates, and thus overturn Joe Biden's victory. This scheme was defended by a fringe legal theory developed by Trump attorneys Kenneth Chesebro and John Eastman, detailed in the Eastman memos, which claimed a vice president has the constitutional discretion to swap official electors with an alternate slate during the certification process, thus changing the outcome of the electoral college vote and the overall winner of the presidential race. The scheme came to be known as the Pence Card." What are your "other points of view" about these matters?

  32. let me ask you a couple questions... do Democrats hate America? do Democrats want to destroy America? this is kind of the pinnacle of the political argument for Fox News. there are tonnes of ridiculous detailed claims that lead to that conclusion and so i'm identifying just the most striking. this is communicated in those very words constantly. CONSTANTLY. its the same old model... repeat, repeat, repeat. its not news. its brain washing. not even CNN and MSNB say that Republicans hate America and that they want to destroy their own country. and really, this is probably the reason why Democrats lost the last election. Because they aren't scaring people enough. Everyone Who Hates America (According To Fox News)

She completely shot herself in the foot in the worst way with that CBC interview where she pretended she had never joined the conservative party and then demanded that they prove that she had whereupon they did exactly that and she was forced to explain that she misunderstood or there was some confusion or the like. That was what made me smile... almost like the airplane is expressing a sympathetic condition intended to pacify tree huggers who see reducing our paltry 1.7% of world emissions to 1.0 as being worthy of shivering in the dark. Those who want to do something that has an immediate effect and save money at the same time could try... (GASP) driving the speed limit. After making an entire career of griping that everything Ottawa does is intruding on provincial rights, she's offering to use Albertans to help secure the international border for the DonOld. So much for solidarity. At least Doug Ford had the balls to call Trumps tariff threats insulting.

  46. At least Trudeau having been a wannabe actor has the EQ to act more or less dignified in public and can pass himself off as intelligent as long as he doesn’t stray too far from the script. Plus he’s bilingual. Trump is just an amoral lunatic with a chainsaw who lacks the ability to even PRETEND otherwise. And a “despicable human being” on top of everything else.
