The prosecution did prove the other crimes because the jury returned 34 felony verdicts, which was only possible if the jury believed beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump reported the payments fraudulently as part of the additional crimes of tax evasion and/or election interference.3 points

Far above and beyond any other cases against donald, he attempted to stay in power through fraud. He willfully hatched and implemented a plan to install fake electors in multiple states in an attempt at disenfranchising millions of voters and retaining power. He then attempted to coerce his vice president to certify those fraudulent electors, or at the very least, refuse to certify the legitimate electors. Donald doesn't even deny he did it. He publicly stated that his attempts at retaining power were " an official act". He called his attempted coup d'état an "official act ". And his sycophants lap that up like they lap up his dangling scrotum. That makes donald an attempted usurper and a traitor.3 points

Thank you. You just proved what most of us knew. Nationalist wants a Russian military victory, and would probably choose Putin and Russia over Canada in an actual war.2 points

Enough apperently - they edited the interview for her. She was asked a question about israel and her original answer was leaked in a sneak peak thing but the version that was finally released by CBS was COMPLETELY edited, where they took another answer from a different question and edited it in because her original was complete word salad. It's pretty obvious they're covering for her. This is insanely blatant.2 points

Trump’s crime was elevated to felony in part because he reported the payments as tax-deductible legal expenses instead of non-tax-deductible hush money payments.2 points

Lol. They were crimes, you weirdo. What he did was quite plainly illegal. You can whine about the window for the statute of limitations being extended (broadly, not just for Trump) but that's rather petty and pointless. It's a done deal and he did commit the crimes. You just don't like your hero being held accountable for his actions.2 points

Why Trump is Going to Prison... The Times analyzed all of the polls in the swing states, as did Biden and his DoJ, and they came to the obvious conclusion... Democracy must be subverted now in order for the Dems to cling to power.2 points

This was Kamala's moment to shine, and she flew from the top rope just to step on a rake. And another rake. It's like she has rakes attached to her shoes. Two massive hurricanes just showed up during October surprise month, and she hasn't even been able to use them to make the election all about global warming because she's so incompetent. She was at a fundraiser during the first one, then she tried to manufacture a coup against DeSantis which was promptly crushed by Joe Biden himself. Apparently Joe and Ron are working together quite well. Oh, and there's also the issue that the FEMA money was given to Kamala's illegal aliens. I'd laugh but it's like the worst joke ever, played by Kamala against America. Ho hummmmm... just another Kamala clusterfugg of epic proportions.1 point

The Times analyzed all of the convictions for the same crime that Donald Trump was convicted for. Over 1/3 of convictions identical to Trump’s went to prison in Manhattan. State-wide, 42% of convictions resulted in prison time. So why would Trump fall into the 1/3 and not into the 2/3? Several reasons: The lightest sentences went to those who plead guilty and a plea bargain was accepted. Trump was in contempt of court several times, fined $10,000 twice, threatened the judge’s daughter, and the judge had to threaten Trump with jail if he did not stop committing contempt of court. Remorse is a major factor in determining sentencing. Pretty much anyone who’s paying attention knows that Trump clearly has shown no remorse whatsoever for the 34 felonies he was convicted of. In fact, he’s shown the opposite. The judge in the case has shown willingness to put white collar criminals in prison, stating that all criminals must be treated equally in the law. Criminal sentencing is intended to deter the convicted criminal of not committing the crime again. There is no reasonable expectation that a non-remorseful, contemptuous individual will be deterred if he does not receive a prison sentence. The judge is required to receive confidential recommendations from the probation department and from the prosecuting attorney. These reports will also play a role in the decision whether to sentence the former President to prison. But it appears more likely than not that, if Trump is not re-elected, he will receive a prison sentence in the case. If he is re-elected, the sentence will probably be delayed until after his term, and then, the 82 year-old will be sentenced.1 point

Flags mean many different things to many Canadians, for soldiers it is draped over our coffins as a sign of respect, we wear it on our shoulder of every uniform we have, to tell everyone who we are and what we stand for..it is a source of great pride, it has it's own traditions...and when they burn it or disrespect it, they disrespect all Canadians, I get it Canada is not a very patriotic country, but for me that flag stands for everything i and all the other soldiers on the right or left of me have sacrificed... We already know how they feel about us, and yet we as Canadians are not smart enough to know we are being taken advantage of,or the balls to do anything about it.... time to put the good will back in the closet and send these guys back to where they belong...Gaza strip,1 point

That is not true. Both would be expenses. There was never any suggestion that this was tax fraud. You can bet that would have been in the charges. Lets be clear - in any other jurisdiction nobody cares what ledger column you put an expense under as long as you pay your tax and he DID pay his tax. It became a felony IF - IF the jury believed he did SOME OTHER FEDERAL CRIME. And they didn't even have to agree WHCIH crime or what it was, the crime did not have to be proven. Just that they had to believe it. It's been called teh 'tinkerbell' felony because you don't have to prove it but if everyone wishes really hard it'll exist. this really is the first time for this.1 point

It was better than Biden I think. But that's a lot like comparing a head-on train crash with one just going off the rails. I don't think it was a good look for her. I don't know about anyone else but I find the head nodding thing really off-putting. Anybody who knows anything about body language knows that that's a trick that shysters pull to try and make their arguments seem more convincing. Nod your head yes and hopefully other people will parrot you and also not their heads yes and it makes them feel like agreeing with you. But to anybody who's actually paying attention it just looks like they're desperate for you to believe them. My feeling is the only reason she did this is that she's actually doing less well in the polls then the public pools would suggest. I'm not sure this will help1 point

Yeah, I just watched the debate and it was a little painful. All Eby could talk about is how bad A job the liberals did when they were in power. And every time he said that I thought but you've been in power for 7 years and everything has gotten worse. Hell after 7 years all you could do is get herbie one McDonald's and he's still pissed about it The NDP record is disastrous. Hopefully people will remember that1 point

Well obviously. It's like saying "canada has better car insurance rates so..... MOAR FREEE!!!!!!" No. No that's not how it works. Americans have property rights that we don't. American speech is more protected. Americans tend to look for a better balance between rights to belief and expression and rights to identity and sexuality etc. Americans have fewer regulations and gov't control. Those are freedoms. "we have better insurance" isn't a freedom.1 point

Contrail altitudes can easily be calculated. As you might expect, for tactical missions the estimates are routinely included in the meteorological briefing pack... so they can be avoided. Why would any sensible mission commander on a "secret deployment mission" fly at those altitudes? Here's where the conspiracy falls apart, next time you see multiple contrails stretching from horizon to horizon take a moment and consider the size of the chemical holding tanks that would be required for a trans continental/trans oceanic flight. Imagine the number of passengers and the amount of luggage that would have to stay on the ground because of it... it would be breathtaking. Ticket prices would be off the charts to compensate for the massive reduction in available seat miles. It's not just airplanes BTW, with the right environmental conditions, vapour trails can even be seen behind bullets. In this case it's caused by pressure changes around the bullet. rather than the release of water vapour and condensation nuclei from the engines. Viewed with a spotter scope the effect is more impressive than that shown above. Dew point is the temperature to which unsaturated air needs to be cooled (at a constant pressure) to become saturated. Increased pressure raises temperature and decreased pressure reduces it. Both factors come into play with a bullet in flight in the same manner as with visible wing vortices, especially with landing aircraft in slow speed high lift configurations when the temp/moisture content of the air is just right. Then again, maybe Herb is right and I'm just annoyed by basic physics... shhhhhh1 point
