  5. And you don't understand that is NOT Constitutional. There is a time limit on the certification and Trump was desperately trying to block it past the time limit. Date for Counting Electoral Votes The date for counting the electoral votes is fixed by law as January 6 following each presidential election (3 U.S.C. §15), unless the date is changed by law. 6. No, both have said they don't want an election. Other than that they've all said they all don't want anyone other than them to be prime minister - both the other parties laughed out loud when Jaggers said he wanted to be pm , trudeau thinks he's the only one who should be pm. PP thinks it should be him, and the bloc would love it but they can't. What they are voting on is tha they don't want to lose the minority gov't, except Trudeau who knows he'll lose power. Anything else is a lie that you tell yourself to make you feel better about the fact you're supporting the most corrupt and destructive gov't that canada has ever seen and should be ashamed of yourself.

  7. Dude, you can TRY to pretend that, but it just makes it clear that you're uninformed. The Trump coup attempt is well documented. He and his cronies have been indicted federally and in 4 states for the scheme. You can read the plan and most of the evidence for yourself, you know, if you wanted to understand what actually happened. Certainly a traitor. He's betrayed 2 out of 3: friends and country. And it would surely be 3 of 3 if he ever had any principles to betray.

  8. Nah, his legacy is a great recovery from the absolute disaster he inherited and some major long-term infrastructure and investment legislation. He's not Lincoln, but history will view him as a welcome and successful return to normal after the Trump debacle. And to the second point, returning to office a man who once already tried to illegally seize power and overthrow a democratic election is just giving him another chance to try again--with no reason to expect that he won't.

  9. Just an incredibly moronic contention. Donald attempted to stay in power through fraudulent means. Donalds admitted to doing so. His vice president admitted donald had asked him to break the law by certifying donalds fraudulent electors . These are the facts. You're just to stupid, ignorant, uneducated or profiting from it to admit it. But thank you for your input Fredo. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=video&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiZ_eG_39GIAxXOJ0QIHZA5PC0QuAJ6BAgXEAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D2X9E9n6GHC8&usg=AOvVaw1gPrQgOHu7Bmav1enYQvG0&opi=89978449

  11. Again, you are a liar. They literally tried to deliver the alternate electors to Pence on the floor of the senate. On the floor of the farking US Senate! They tried. And Pence did not cave, despite immense pressure and a mob calling for his execution. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/06/21/jan-6-panel-trump-overturn-2020-election-00040816 A top aide to Sen. Ron Johnson attempted to arrange a handoff of false, pro-Trump electors from the senator to Mike Pence just minutes before the then-vice president began to count electoral votes on Jan. 6, 2021. The aide, Sean Riley, told Pence’s legislative director Chris Hodgson that Johnson wanted to hand Pence lists of the fake electors from Michigan and Wisconsin for Pence to introduce during the counting of electoral votes that certified Joe Biden’s win. The attempt was revealed in text messages obtained by the Jan. 6 select committee during its fourth public hearing on Tuesday. “Do not give that to him,” Hodgson replied. The attempted handoff shows just how much former President Donald Trump and his allies tried to lean on Pence to introduce false slates of electors that could have thrown the 2020 election from Biden to Donald Trump. The committee laid out an intense pressure campaign, led primarily by Trump and his attorney Rudy Giuliani, to push state legislatures to appoint pro-Trump electors and override the will of voters in their states. In video and live testimony, state legislative leaders in Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan — all Republicans — described repeated, sometimes daily pressure from Trump and his allies in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Michigan State Senate leader Mike Shirkey recalled in video testimony how, after Trump tweeted out his phone number, he received thousands of messages from Trump supporters asking him to appoint Michigan’s electors through the legislature. Arizona State House speaker Rusty Bowers rejected similar pressure from Trump. “You are asking me to do something that is counter to my oath,” he recalled saying.

  12. Yes, he absolutely did ask him to throw out the votes. And your lies won't change that. Quoting here step 3 of the Eastman coup plan which you can read for yourself. "At the end, he announces that because of the ongoing disputes in the 7 States, there are no electors that can be deemed validly appointed in those States. That means the total number of "electors appointed" – the language of the 12th Amendment – is 454. This reading of the 12th Amendment has also been advanced by Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe. A "majority of the electors appointed" would therefore be 228. There are at this point 232 votes for Trump, 222 votes for Biden. Pence then gavels President Trump as re-elected." There is no legal mechanism to "suspend the certification." That's just a load of crap. The "investigations" were completed and every state has certified their electoral votes.

  18. It’s like the ridiculous “Barbaric culture practices” hotline the conservatives up here tried to introduce a few elections ago to fear-monger against Muslims. So if you were see a man beheading someone in the street you’d call 911 but should you ever happen to see a Muslim man beheading someone in the street, call the 1-800 number and leave a message to report the “barbaric cultural practice”. That was their big plan, and to accuse anyone who didn’t support it as approving of Muslims beheading people.

In reality i didn't call him a monkey, i just said "dance monkey dance' which is a common phrase. And i don't think of him as being a 'black poster', i just think of him as another poster what you're doing is attempting to create racial tensions and racism where none existed, We don't do that in canada. Pls keep your hatred and race baiting in your own back yard.

  20. Clearly, Trump knows Sean Combes. And they were friends. But I’m not an ldiot, like the Republicans are, and I think it’s safe to say that it’s very unlikely that Trump knew anything of Combes’ criminal activities, just as Kamala Harris did not know. So this sort of “guilt by association” reasoning which launched this thread is ridiculous. Epstein is another story: Trump’s on record saying he knew that Epstein liked very young girls, yet he continued to socialize with him. Not good

  22. they shouldn't have called him a "bastard" since that is a pure ad hominem, and it's not true the better tactic would be to say "you're a corrupt sycophant to the Liberal party elites" if he then confronts you, then you can simply expand on that narrative what's he gonna do ? if he wants to get into an argument with you, let him come, because he has no defence and you keep your hands behind your back, at the rest easy position then if he squares up, that exposes him as the aggressor

  31. I think a lot of folks think of donald as a traitor. A danger to democracy. Donald hatched and implemented a plan to install fake electors in multiple states, for the sole purpose of having his vice president certify fraudulent electors. This action would of circumvented the will of the people, disenfranchising millions of voters. And it would of effectively been a "soft" coup d'etat. So, yeah.... Donalds dirty and a traitor. Alot of folks recognize this.

  32. You're not paying attention. Trump loves the poorly educated cause the MAJORITY of his support comes from those who are so IGNORANT they are easily CONNED. 36. Parliament is about to vote no confidence in Mr. Poilievre. It appears every Member of Parliament outside the CPC caucus will be voting, not to support the Government, but to express their lack of confidence in the CPC and its leader. I've known guys like Mr. Poilievre when I was active in the Progressive Conservative Student Federation in the early 1970's. Most of us grew up after university. When we went to work at the bank or law firm, or construction company, we didn't carry a briefcase full of pretend briefing papers. We left out childhood toys and fantasies behind when we left campus. Mr. Poilievre never grew up. He is still living in his "let's pretend world." Unfortunately, a year from now he will receive the instruments of office as Prime Minister and he will be forced to make grown up decisions. He will have to figure out how to handle the price on carbon. He has campaigned on the promise to "axe the tax." He will have to come up with a replacement. Premier Moe faced the same question and had to admit that the carbon tax was cheaper than any of the other alternatives. The most likely alternative is he will bring in rationing. Over the long term, transitioning to nuclear power is by far, the best solution, but that takes time and we have run out of time. We needed to do that in the 1970's. Rationing is the alternative that will bring down our carbon emissions but it is very expensive. He will have to deal with the on going aftermath of the pandemic. He will also have the war with Russia and the impact that is having with the global economy. He will have to deal with the need to put significant funding into DND. Where will he get the money? He will likely have to deal with a hostile American Congress and Administration. His predecessor built a multi-partisan team to successfully defend NAFTA in the last round of negotiations. Does Mr. Poilievre have the temperment to do that, considering his tendency to alienate people? He will win a super majority next year. His honeymoon in office will be measured in hours, not months. His reality is going to be brutal.

  37. I watched that and it's as dishonest as you'd expect a Black B1tch link to be. 1 There are NO clips of him calling for violence against his political opponents in general, or specific political opponents. The video I posted had a dozen instances of Dems and their a-listers explicitly calling for serious violence, and none of it is out of context or exaggerated. 2 Some of that stuff is totally debunked, like when Trump said "stand by and stand down" and the "very fine people" quote. Neither of those things were examples of Trump saying or doing anything wrong. You just got dummied loser, by one of the lowest-IQ politicians out there - Kamala Harris. So show me where Trump endorsed the kind of violence that's in the post in the OP.

  39. Same reasons that elected officials don't just reflect the public opinion of their constituents. The point of representation is that the responsibility is delegated to a person who is (hopefully) smarter and definitely better informed and more focused on the issues. It's their job to know the politics, know the players and the secondary and tertiary ramifications of statements, actions and policies--to know better how to protect the interests of the union members. Teamsters are majority white men and not well educated--right in the Trump core demo. They don't know that Trump and his allies are anti-labor, anti union and would be terrible for their livelihoods. The leadership does understand that, so they can't endorse Trump. --and frankly I think they are making a mistake by not maintaining their close relationship with the Democrats. Biden was good for labor. The teamsters are trying to hedge and play both sides, but only the Democrats actually want a relationship. Not a good hedge.
