He unilaterally shut down new permits for fracking on gov't land on day1. He also went to war on American coal. Here's a perfect example of what happens when the leader of a country openly declares war against their own economy: in Canada we had $135 billion dollars worth of oil infrastructure investments approved when Trudeau was elected in 2015, which all disappeared on a project-by-project basis. All he did was say that he was intent on phasing out gas and oil production in Canada eventually, and investors simply made plans for their money elsewhere. A $30B plan was scrapped here, a few weeks later another $35B project shut down, then another, then another, and by the end of it there were a hundred thousands jobs lost in one year in Alberta alone. Not cheap-ass jobs either, they were the rare types of jobs where 1 was enough for a whole family to live comfortably on. Biden's war on domestic energy came at a time when Russia was demanding Ukraine be barred from ever entering NATO, and Europeans were looking to find alternate sources for natural gas. Trudeau screwed Canada out of grabbing some of that market, just like you'd expect, but all of these energy problems happened at the same time Biden was devaluing the USD with his own spending spree.

Trump's goal was never to "make abortion legal or illegal": he never had anyone in the GOP draft a bill to weigh in on reproductive rights in congress. Roe vs Wade was just an improper ruling because the topic of abortion isn't even mentioned in the US Constitution, so it was overturned at the SC. Now individual states have the ability to pass their own legislation regarding abortion.

Once, our jobs were redundant and the company was ordered by the Feds to keep us, find us anything at the same rate of pay or their rate increase was denied. So I worked with a S African guy who refused to go into a boiler and clean it out because it was dirty and beneath him. I asked for permission to go home and get into shitty clothes. He got canned. I worked 15 more years and eventually the same thing went on and I was offered the choice of a job I didn't like, back on the road all over the place or take $160K buyout. Easy choice! There are far too many non-immigrants who will not take those jobs they're complaining about.
