The FBI brought their own classified document sleeves, added them to documents and then took pictures that they leaked to the press. Everything the Democrats do is a lie. Everything. How could they know of the documents were classified? They can't. Even if the document was marked classified, it might have been declassified prior to that day. They added the sleeves to make the case look better. Don't forget that Smith has a history of setting up Republican politicians for prosecution.7 points

1. Strikes me as naive. 2. The reasons for voting AGAINST Poilievre could be numerous, just as the reasons for voting against Trudeau.3 points

You do understand that they cannot give photographs of the actual classified information to the media, because it's classified.2 points

Whaddya know... The FBI is lying and committing crimes for the DNC again. And make no mistake: if any of those doctored photos were provided as evidence, without disclosing to the judge that the pics were staged, that's yet another FBI crime. This is also the FBI working with the media, just like with the raid at Roger Stone's home.2 points
-
No, that proves the point that the FBI left nonevidentuary objects in with evidence. Not some rando point you decided you wanted me to prove. Contaminated evidence should be thrown out. Jack Smith should get the maximum sentence of 10 years for falsifying evidence.2 points

The PC's are not going to field any candidates in the coming election. I believe you confused the CPC (the party of Lincoln, Aberhart and Manning) with the Progressive Conservatives (the party of MacDonald.) Any damage to the CPC brand will be the result of the actions of the CPC, not the CBC. Mr. Poilievre's attacks on the CBC, Global and CTV appear to be an attempt avoid accountability. He claims the CBC not only supports the Liberals, but has the power to influence people's voting decisions. So how is it that the CPC is about to win a super majority. Every government needs to be held accountable by a vigorous press. This is particularly vital in the absence of a sizable Parliamentary opposition. Global and CTV news divisions are in trouble, which makes the national broadcaster all the more important.2 points

Why was it a shock? Don't even believe the polls you guys have been quoting incessantly? It's was a by-election and the shock is that they barely won it. I was expecting a 10-15% margin at least. By-elections often go against a standing govt over the slightest annoyance at it. Seems a shallow upset with the level of annoyance at Trudeau being reported.2 points

Yes, there are better immigrants, or regions to pick from...I think we would all be agree to , no criminals we have enough already(liberal party) , no gang members, no terrorist or terrorist supporters, no racists we already have way to many, no cancel culture no hard leftists extremists, no hard right wingers, no hard core eviromentists, ....... If you fit into any of those categories please report to BC coast where you will be boarded onto ships to take you away to your new paradise..south pole where you'll get to play with penguins, have snowball fights, make snowmen all year round...well most of the year anyways... what we are looking for for is hard working , honest people, that are smart full of initiative, proud of who they are, and where they came from, but also proud to be given a chance to be Canadian. people who are not looking for a hand out but willing to work hard at making a good community. people with good moral values, who loves family, and everything that brings to the table...I'm sure i'm forgetting some other important stuff...but it's a good start.2 points

Conservatives win longtime Liberal stronghold Toronto-St. Paul's in shock byelection result | CBC News Conservative candidate Don Stewart has won the longtime federal Liberal stronghold of Toronto-St. Paul's, a stunning result that raises questions about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's future. Stewart's victory is shocking because the seat has been held by the Liberals for more than 30 years — even through the party's past low points, such as the 2011 federal election that returned just 34 Liberal MPs to Parliament. The Liberals' poor showing in a stronghold like this could prompt some soul-searching for Trudeau, who has seen his popularity plummet as inflation, the cost of living crisis, high home prices and surging immigration levels drive voter discontent. This Conservative upset is likely to lead to some anxiety in the Liberal caucus because such a dramatic vote swing could put other supposedly "safe" seats in play for the Conservatives in the next general election.1 point

Oh, lucky you. JK just posted a video explaining that those photos with doctored and staged docs were used as evidence. BTW, they did white out the other docs, so it's not like they needed the covers. They did it for show.1 point

It's nothing "supposed": it's what Putin does and what Hitler did. One to one: the stencil. If you lost your eyes, and your intelligence, just handed them for free to the brainless shouting mob I won't envy you: it'll catch up, one way or another. "impartiality" too, of course: what does it take to not see obvious facts? Sad.. but entirely predictable when one just hands in their principles and reason.1 point

The possibility is real, but not directly. Most of them are relatively simplistic devices. The concern has always been that back doors could be built that only the Chinese know about which would allow people's security to be broken in the future. But to be honest that's something they watch for and if it was exploited a lot of people would tend to notice fairly quickly. But it is one of the reasons why most military chips don't come from china1 point

This is not a Tango. It is a street fight, where the Palestinians keep pushing, punching, and kicking Isreal and Israel keeps fending them off, until one day the Palestinians pushed too hard and now Israel is saying enough. Yet again, you draw some false moral equivalency here between the two... and then you wonder why we say you support Hamas. Killing people is not a war crime, it is literally the by product of war. The fact that Isreal can do it better is a good thing. You have to do it better to be able to win. Israel captures people as part of criminal investigations under Military detention who were in the act of stabbing and trying to kill Israelis... it is no where near the same thing as Hamas rolling into neighborhoods and just grabbing people at random to hold as hostages. Israel keeps their prisoners according to standards that can be observed in actual prison locations... Hamas hides their hostages... because they are hostages. Yet again... this is why we say you support Hamas as you sit here saying Israel is worse. Since day one the Palestinians have gone to war against Israel. If they didn't do that and did not continue to do that with other Arab countries... this is on them.1 point
-
It does not. All it takes is one belligerent and hostile group to start a war. And all it takes is one belligerent and hostile group to prevent peace. If Gaza laid down its arms tomorrow within a short period of time they would have freedom and peace. If Israel laid down its arms tomorrow it would have a new genocide.1 point

this embodies most internet forum types. Their confident, uncompromising, confrontational ways melt away when you meet them in real life. I met one from a forum.. he was a big talker. Little boy, the Treaty of Versailles is a perfect example of when somebody doesn't reach out and work with someone else. And that paved the way for hitler's rise to power. And As it has already been explained to you, there is a big difference between establishing relations and capitulation. If the german economy had depended on France and Britain, do you think he would have declared war? Pretty safe bet he wouldn't. But it didn't. So the British and French had nothing other than violence to threaten him with when he began to get out of control. You sound like you think that war solves everything. Violence is the only tool we should be using. That's just stupid. Violence and war can be effective tools when all else has failed, but it is much better to find ways to live peacefully with each other. And you can't do that if you don't have a relationship. You'll understand this when you grow up and learn English.1 point

Exactly. The PREP Act is where all the damage starts. It is bizarrely designed. Congress never actually approved Pfizer’s immunity. That mind-blowing act of deleting millions of citizens’ legal rights was done unilaterally and in secret by the Secretary of HHS, under Biden’s orders. In 2015, Congress passed the terrible, badly-conceived, poorly-implemented PREP Act, supposedly for safety, but nobody ever really thought it would ever be used at this massive, global scale. The PREP Act is the 2015 federal law granting legal immunity to Pfizer and Moderna for horrible injuries and deaths, as well as to any hospitals or doctors who administered the vaccines or other covid treatments bearing the CDC’s official stamp of approval during the pandemic. During covid, the breathtaking scope of PREP’s covid immunity extended far beyond the vaccines, to liver-destroying drugs like Remdesivir, barbaric treatments like the ventilator, and problematic practices like sending patients back home to wait until they got “really sick” before treating them. It is one of history's worst ideas. It's being challenged legally, by the same lawyer who sued over masks (and won) and sued over vaccine mandates (and won). So there's some hope. Here's the link to the legal challenge, for those interested: 20240625 Complaint — Moms v. Becerra.Doc 01.pdf (dropbox.com)1 point

Water scarcity is not a nationwide issue. It is really only an issue in NV, UT, Eastern Oregon, Southern and Eastern CA, Southern NM, and some parts of AZ. The climate and geography along with major population growth factor into this. Of course, there was plenty to go around in 1940 when the population was 1/10 or less of what it is today in some places. As for the agriculture.. not going anywhere. You can grow certain crops in the Central Valley like nowhere else in America due to 310 to 320 days of sunshine, rare freezing temps, low humidity, and soil that has not been drained of all its nutrients.1 point

No, you are factually wrong. This isn't an opinion. This is extremely easy to verify. The main battle rifle of the British army is not the M16 or variance. The main battle tank is not in Abrams. The main fighter was not an eagle france is all different too. So is germany. In fact when we did used to own tanks we bought german tanks not American. Even the missile systems are different. The anti-aircraft systems are different. They each have their own cruise missiles. Like I said, the rifle ammunition may be the same because it pays to have the same ammo as your ally. Sweden used NATO military ammunition for their rifles long before they became part of NATO because it just makes sense. But there's no requirement It is stupid to say that we Agree to disagree. You are demonstrably and verifiably and factually wrong. There is absolutely no requirement whatsoever to buy gear that is native standard or from any specific company or country. You're even free to make your own as we do with our armored fighting vehicles. I don't know where you got the idea that all NATO allies have to buy from America but that is simply not true and in fact most don't1 point
-
No, it doesn't. We can buy from anyone. It makes sense in many respects to buy NATO Standard equipment but we are not required to. Most of the other countries in NATO make their own equipment. And we can certainly buy for many of them. We could buy german aA guns, british tanks and french fighters if we wanted. Right now we cannot defend our own nation. That's unacceptable. As a result we absolutely do need to be part of NATO. Wars happen and nature of whores a vacuum, so if there is an absence of power something will move to fill it. Si vis paceum, para bellum. It's as true today as it was then.1 point

FORMER GOV. ANDREW CUOMO (D-NY): That case, the Attorney General's case in New York, frankly should have never been brought. And if his name was not Donald Trump, and if he wasn't running for president from the former AG in New York, I'm telling you that case would have never been brought. And that's what is offensive to people. And it should be. Because if there's anything left, it's belief in the justice system. It would not have been brought if his name wasn't Trump? AKA banana republic tactics.1 point

I don't see the point of Prime Minister Trudeau stepping down. It won't change the result because he is still more popular than the potential replacements. For him personally, he should be working to at least get enough seats to form the official opposition. That way, he can watch Mr. Polievre come to grips with being PM and make the new Prime Minister's life "interesting." Remember MacMillain's response, "Events, dear boy, events." Leader of the opposition is a lot better job than Prime Minister. No stress, no accountability. And who knows what the next election will bring. MacDonald lost and then came back. MacKenzie King lost and came back. It is amazing how the most hated politicians become respected statesmen with the passage of time. Diefenbaker, Mulroney, and a few people are even saying a few nice things about Harper. My disclaimer will not come as a surprise. I do not believe my scenario will have any relation to reality, aside from the probability that whether the Prime Minister steps down or not, the electoral result will be the same. Why shouldn't he stay in office until the election?1 point

Perhaps. That was also true back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s when taxes were far higher. Those decades had a transformative impact on investing in our society and making it better. The same cannot be said of the last 40 years of right wing austerity politics.1 point

These kinds of comparisons are always flawed. Can't blame trump for necessary drastic spending that took take place in a global pandemic. And the lack of adequate revenue is still a chronic problem that obviously Republicans don't have the will to fix, nor democrats the ability to fix in a divided government.1 point

I think it would safe to bet, that regardless who runs for the liberals it is going to be a bloodbath, people want change and right at this time that change is falling on PP due to lack of choices......if the liberals were smart they would let one of their expendable name brands take the election...the barn is already burning so let it burn... Then bring in a fresh face with a brand new plan and direction...for the next election 2029....there is no way PP is going to be able to act fast enough to fix everything that Justin broke...some Canadians might hold that against him....enough to bring back those swing votes..and put the liberals back on the map... Of course in my own head i hope the Liberals get burnt to the ground...smashed into pieces...of course lets not forget the NDP smash them as well, smash them so bad it is going to take a real leader with real leadership skills, to rebuild them from the ashes...And while hell would have to freeze over before i voted for the left ....i would vote for someone with a plan to unite Canada, and have the necessary leadership skills to do that, and rebuild canada into something it once was... It could happen...That's my dream let me have this, one time...1 point

There is no need for private clinics. Simply stop pi$$ing money away on useless and ineffective government offices. The military, NATO, CBC, Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commission to name a very few and stop handing out billions to other countries... Maybe take a poll. Infrastructure and the medical care system for starters and then also become a country that leads in a production of products.1 point
