Since 2019, Joe Biden has repeatedly distanced himself from his family’s business dealings, saying that he has never so much as discussed them with his relatives or with anyone else. But House impeachment inquiry interviews, public records and emails reviewed by POLITICO show that members of his inner circle were regularly enmeshed in those dealings: Many of the president’s closest staffers and advisers have doubled as his relatives’ business associates, both during and after their stints working for the man at the center of the Biden family orbit. The most corrupt president is our time is being forced out by his own party. They just don't want to admit it, so they leak this info to make it seem like it's just politics moving Joe out. He will be removed at the DNC convention.3 points

You’re naive and reckless here. The agenda is clear: Teach children that non-biological gender and multiple forms of sexuality are to be affirmed and celebrated, whether or not such views violate the moral or religious beliefs of parents or science itself. This isn’t a maybe. This is the reality in almost all public schools. We don’t allow prayer but we put up pride flags. I understand the argument that neither should be mandatory, but to depose Christianity and elevate this dubious grab bag of identities and orientations is odd. To make it part of the curriculum is a social engineering experiment on kids and society that hasn’t happened in any successful civilization. No thanks. More than enough rights are already granted to the LGBTQ2S+ “community”. Female sports, religious people, science-minded people, and free speech have taken serious blows from which we may not recover.3 points

Not quite accurate. Which is why a lot of parents are starting to get upset. In fact you're quite right that they don't force people to go to Santa Claus or Greek festivals or Hanukkah or anything like that. But in fact they are demanding people take Part in pride week in the schools including teachers who may feel otherwise. Which is why you're not seeing a backlash against santa or the Greeks but you are seeing one against transgender and gay pride events. Frankly if the gays just kept their festivals and such to themselves the same way everybody else tries to do then it wouldn't be an issue but they are actually trying to force kids to participate. Their entire argument is that it is somehow inclusive. Nothing can be further from the truth but that's their argument.3 points

Do you know how to distinguish right from wrong? Invading a sovereign nation, committing war crimes, raping and killing women and children, and kidnapping thousands of Ukrainian children and forcing them into Russia is justified because Ukraine is corrupt??? Didn't your parents ever teach you morality?2 points

We give one day in June to honour the over 4000 men that gave their lives to begin the ending of WWII. We give one day in November to honour the deaths of over 8 million people that sacrificed their lives in 20thy century wars. Yet, we give an entire month to celebrate and fete those that decided to exercise alternative sexual orientation, desires and, deviations that do zero for society except demand recognition. WTF!!!2 points

Always interesting to see what outsiders think of the Trudeau government's virtue signalling idiocy around controlling offensive speech. A bill making its way through the Canadian Parliament would impose draconian criminal penalties on hate speech and curtail people’s liberty in order to stop crimes they haven’t yet committed. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2024/06/canada-online-harms-act/678605/1 point

I'll just put this here, shall I? In their criticism, Israel's opponents are erasing a remarkable, historic new standard Israel has set. In my long career studying and advising on urban warfare for the U.S. military, I've never known an army to take such measures to attend to the enemy's civilian population, especially while simultaneously combating the enemy in the very same buildings. In fact, by my analysis, Israel has implemented more precautions to prevent civilian harm than any military in history—above and beyond what international law requires and more than the U.S. did in its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Israel sets new standard for urban warfare.1 point

Not necessarily at all. Any Judge worth their salt will be a voracious reader and writer. Every ruling will come down to researching the law and legal precedent. The entire concept of precedent is that there is not change... it is a precedent. The law is the law, it doesn't change based on societies views. It changes when society elects politicians who change it. The law is static and inflexible. Judges interpret the law, and legislators change it. You are mixing them up here. The judiciary is supposed to be above political games like this, which is why it is a life tenure.1 point

It is not at all. The homophobia definition is the fear, hatred, discomfort with, or mistrust of people who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual. What is homophobia? (plannedparenthood.org) And really it should have added BECAUSE they're gay rather than just anyone who is for any reason. Simply "not liking" someone is not being "phobic" about them. Yeash.1 point

LOL, when confronted with the facts of what they did, you turn to "obligation" I don't care what you think is their "obligation" here or not, it isn't the point. The point is that they did in fact interfere and and provide aid to Biden by all of a sudden deciding not to share factual information to social media when they had been doing so before and were in a meeting with them for that very purpose when asked about this. Wow, talk about a Strawman. They were not being asked to endorse Giuliani or his claims. The narrative that was falsely being pushed was that the entire thing was Russian disinformation, the FBI sat on correcting that lie which in fact did provide support to the Biden campaign.1 point

any two or more persons who conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means It's only a federal law which was allegedly broken, and the FEC chair would have testified to the fact that they don't even consider what he did to be a violation of their law. Trump had legitimate family and business reasons for getting that NDA signed. You don't have to like the FEC interpretation of the law, but changing it requires legislation, not just a jury with vague instructions.1 point

Yes, terrible, terrible examples. And your version of the Houck story is pure fiction. You have almost all of it backward. Houck is NOT an "old man." He's in his 40s. The person you call a "goon" (lol)--who Mark Houck assaulted-- is actually an old man-- a 72 year-old grandfather. The 72-year old did NOT assault Houck's son -- I assume you invented that for vividness? And, finally, Mark Houck can go fark himself. If he doesn't want his young son exposed to tense verbal exchanges and "vulgar language" he should stop bringing the boy along on his missions to harass women outside of Planned Parenthood. If you don't want your kid in that situation, don't deliberately put them in that situation over and over again. And yes, for any decent people playing along at home, when you escalate a verbal exchange to a physical assault of a senior citizen, you should be arrested and tried. Whether the jury lets him off the hook or not, trial was the right thing to do.1 point

"Weaponized DoJ" is an alt-right meme, not a reality. The Trump DoJ probably prosecuted more Trump cronies than the Biden DoJ. Meanwhile, the Biden DoJ is not shy about prosecuting democratic lawbreakers. Trump pretends to be unfairly persecuted, but the simple fact is that he's always been a crook and he surrounded himself with similarly crooked people. -- And the decent people he hired bailed or were forced out. This nonsense about FACE and the false claim that left-leaning protesters are not arrested or prosecuted is another made-up red herring. And the people who attacked the capitol will always get stricter scrutiny than some random vandals. They attacked our system of government, so the government is paying attention. In the same way that terrorists are treated more harshly than basic murderers.1 point

Dear Mr. Thick Skull, Donald Trump was not convicted of violating Federal Law. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? The STATE GOVERNMENT is not the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Donald Trump was convicted of violations NEW YORK STATE LAW, including New York State Election Law, which makes it illegal for "any two or more persons" to "conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means." So it does not matter what Federal Law says or what a former FEC Chair thinks about Federal Law because this was not a case of Federal Law. So why don’t you sit down and ask yourself this simple question: WHY ARE YOU READING AND BELIEVING MEDIA WHICH IS DIRECTLY LYING TO YOU? Here are the official instructions (.gov website!!!) to the jury which the judge gave them. You can read these for yourself to see the exact laws involved. So you don’t need to believe me, or Fox News, you can just go to the source and see for yourself. https://www.nycourts.gov/LegacyPDFS/press/PDFs/People v. DJT Jury Instructions and Charges FINAL 5-23-24.pdf Quoting from that official court document: ”For the crime of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, the intent to defraud must include an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof. Under our law, although the People must prove an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof, they need not prove that the other crime was in fact committed, aided, or concealed.” “The People allege that the other crime the defendant intended to commit, aid, or conceal is a violation of New York Election Law section 17-152. Section 17-152 of the New York Election Law provides that any two or more persons who conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means and which conspiracy is acted upon by one or more of the parties thereto, shall be guilty of conspiracy to promote or prevent an election. Under our law, a person is guilty of such a conspiracy when, with intent that conduct be performed that would promote or prevent the election of a person to public office by unlawful means, he or she agrees with one or more persons to engage in or cause the performance of such conduct. Knowledge of a conspiracy does not by itself make the defendant a coconspirator. The defendant must intend that conduct be performed that would promote or prevent the election of a person to public office by unlawful means. Intent means conscious objective or purpose. Thus, a person acts with the intent that conduct be performed that would promote or prevent the election of a person to public office by unlawful means when his or her conscious objective or purpose is that such conduct be performed. Evidence that defendant was present when others agreed to engage in the performance of a crime does not by itself show that he personally agreed to engage in the conspiracy.”1 point

Ah. My apologies. I misread your post. OK so what would be the results of NOT spoon feeding the public propaganda? Less social conflict? Perhaps this culture war you hate so much would dissipate? The problem as I see it is, there are a lot of people who hear/read MSM articles and their heads scream "BULLSHIT!". Perhaps the MSM should stop editorializing everything and just report the facts? Then maybe they would be able to reclaim some semblance of trust and reverence again?1 point

There is no "normal" when it comes to packing the court. This is nothing more than wish casting of the most extreme kind of petty political partisanship from the left because you all want to politicize the court far more than you currently cry about it being. It is the same stupid hypocrisy with the left crying about saving Democracy by having to destroy it, cheering on the removal of a candidate from the polls so people can't even vote for them to "Save Democracy!" Packing the court is the term for doing something outside of "normal" to modify the courts for purely political purposes. Simply nominating and appointing Supreme Court justices as they retire as part of an ordinary course of business is not court packing. I understand it just fine, if you and others are reducing it to mean a President appoints someone because they are ideologically aligned with them... well, duh. That is what every President does. The term is meaningless at that point as every appointment is "court packing" No, that is a bad presumption on your part. So, where is your evidence?1 point

The election for President of the United States is conducted by state and local officials in the fifty states, under the laws of each state. That’s why, for example, absentee and vote by mail rules are different in each state. Oregon, for example, is 100% vote by mail. Thus, Donald Trump violated New York State election law, not Federal election law.1 point

Sure. They want a fair number of rights. Most of which I think most people would have said they should have in the beginning. However that tide has turned. There are parades in large numbers pushing back against them. Children are stomping on gay pride flags in the streets. A number of provinces have passed laws granting parental rights forbidding teachers from hiding transgender status from the parents. A fair bit of literature that was considered okay till people found out what was in it has been removed from schools or at least from elementary schools. And the stage is set for more if it comes to it. It went a little too far and now the tide is turning. I don't think we'll see any massive rollback of rights. Like I said, I think the vast majority of people supported most of the rights to begin with but I think the people have learned that it's okay to push back and say no if they don't like whatever the trans or gays are asking for tomorrow1 point

sure. Democracy hinges on the idea that voters will make intelligent informed rational decisions dispassionately. They knew there would be some partisanship with parties in place but the system only works if everybody keeps an open mind and puts their country ahead of their political party of choice. Conservatives do that. Both provincially and federally conservatives have utterly destroyed and wiped out their party of choice before when that party started to go rogue and come off the rails. The NDP has done it Provincially. For example in British Columbia nDP voters absolutely slaughtered the NDP and reduce them to two seats after their shenanigans and appearance of corruption in the late 90s. But the liberals are a different matter. Their core voters will vote for them even if they are caught selling our country to another country. Apparently. No amount of corruption is unacceptable, no level of destruction of our economy is Unforgivable. At best they might vote them out briefly but then they return to the fold as soon as possible. That requires some Olympic level self-deception.1 point

Part of it was practical. Remember this was being worked out 250 years ago. The circumstances in each state were very different at the time and flexibility was needed. And technically the electoral colleges are the ones to vote so it was up to each state to figure out how to let the people "recommend" which person the college should vote for. So it just sort of made sense at the time and nobody changed it. But their system leads to massive distrust in the process over all, with some states allowing things other states would consider illegal and irregularities of all kinds becoming common, and while it is the colleges that vote the fact is that it's the votes of the people that are reflected there and with modern tech there's zero reason why it should be different from one state to the next. And enough with this 'you're trying to repress the blacks' nonsense. Put in place some sturdy laws about requiring id to vote, laws making the voters lists federal not state wide to avoid problems. and a few other things to make it HARD to cheat. I don't care if people think there's been cheating before or not, it's necessary to show that it's hard to do so without being caught. That's how people can have faith in the system again.1 point

It is my personal opinion that sweet azz all will happen to these traitors to Canada. We are living in a Marxist like country, where like living in any Marxist country, only the elite big wigs in the liberal party will get off Scott free, but don't you dare try and do the same thing. It will be off to the gulag for you. We do live in a two tier system. If one is in the globalist elite club circle, then they have no worries. We, in the club, look after each other. The Joe and Mary six packs do not need to know anything about what we do or what goes on. That is our club secret. The conservative party can try all they want to get to the bottom of this spy stuff but we should know by now that it will go nowhere. It will be all for show. Aw well, carry on Canada. 👎1 point

You might as well be working for Putin pushing this propaganda. Unfortunately, this led to the Russians rebelling?! Russia funded that rebellion, armed that rebellion, and pushed that rebellion. Hell, Russia was putting troops there covertly to back them as well. Let's not pretend like this was all some naturally occurring uprising here. This is such revisionist BS. Not based on any facts and 100% pushing pro-Russian propaganda. They can't negotiate peace with someone from a position of weakness if we are not supporting them and a real peace deal must come with security guarantees which Russia is not offering. You expect Ukraine to give Russia everything and basically just trust that Russia is going to behave like a honest and trustworthy peace partner. AFTER Russia had already taken Crimea and had already instigated the rebellion in the Donbas. No, this is exactly what you should be saying about Russia. You show more disdain towards NATO for supporting Ukraine against Russia than you do for what Russia did to Ukraine in the Donbas. And yet again... none of this was actually a direct response to anything I had previous just said to you.1 point

He's calculated, but operating within a dictatorship where the information that flows to the top has been what Putin wants to hear, rather than the reality. He'd never have invaded Ukraine in the first place if not for the misguided belief it would be over quickly, that the Ukrainians wouldn't resist tooth-and-nail, and that the Russian "bear" was even remotely as capable as everyone had previously understood. Exactly. Whoops. The self-serving delusion that democracies are soft and incapable of showing resolve or defending themselves is one that has led many dictators to their doom.1 point
