  1. So in your eyes all people are created equal, regardless of their past...I think this is how we let in NAZI SS , other NAZI's, lets not forget the Khadrs, and the many other terrorist, criminals etc etc...Maybe we should rethink these policies before we really let some bad people in...

  7. Hillary Clinton Freaks Out: “We May Never Have Another Election” if Trump Wins in November - LifeNews.com In classic “I told you so,” Hillary Clinton was in fine form in an interview given to Lisa Lerer and Elizabeth Dias of the New York Times. The headline to their piece was “Hillary Clinton Has Some Tough Words for Democrats and Women.” Not only does she blame everyone but herself for demise, Clinton, in true apocalyptic language “also suggested that if Donald Trump won in November ‘we may never have another actual election.’” And the madness escalates apace 6 months left - how bad is it going to get?

  8. Well yes and no. First off let's deal with his reasoning. The idea that it's necessary for retirement is a little flawed. People either still need a home to live in, or their downsizing which means they have to buy another home when they sell. If price is dropped that also means the price drop on the new smaller home that they are downsizing to also drops. There is still a slight loss if prices drop but given what I just noted it's not nearly as bad as people would think. Secondly prices don't really need to drop much in order for them to become more affordable over time. Even if price is stagnated and didn't rise considering that inflation already affects people's wages it would not be many years until people earned enough that they could afford the houses at the prices that they are currently set at. So you may see it. Of extensive slow or no growth, kind of like what we saw in the 80s, but eventually wages and earnings would make those prices affordable. And additionally certain policies may make homes in areas that are less expensive more realistic or practical to buy. For example if there were sufficient medical services and entertainment in a smaller town a person may sell their home in the city and move to that smaller town in order to get the benefit of downsizing economically. The smaller town they benefit from additional work etc however that generally doesn't just happen by accident it does require some planning. There's no doubt that in order for homes to become affordable the days of a 20% increase on the value of your home year after year have to go. But that doesn't mean there has to be a big drop in price per se. If they are clever, there are other solutions to mitigate and severely reduce any negative financial impact while still allowing people to get into their own home

  9. I think his desire is to try to suggest that your argument is not based on rational thought but rather is based on the fact that you dislike that culture. This is essentially an ad hominem attack However this neglects to recognize that It's not a case of disliking these facts because you dislike the people but rather you just dislike the people because of these facts. In other words, they're not a scumbag because you hate them but rather you hate you because they're a scumbag, If he can dismiss your argument as being simply an Imaginary delusion brought on by your rampant and unexplained hatred then he can ignore all of your points as being non-credible. If he has to admit that your credible points are what lead to your hatred then that goes out the window and he'd have to work at his answer

  13. You should try notepad if you are going to argue against yourself. The point I was making was quite clear. You keep espousing views as if you are against this war and the suffering... but you also push Russian propaganda to justify the war... You know how people don't die in war? Don't start the war. Everything you argue here is to back Russia and to justify their war. Now you try to pretend like you don't like people dying. You know who is losing a lot more men than Ukraine is? Russia.

  15. Look, it is dreadfully hard for me to defend my enemies but the only reason I did was because a one-side story was presented by OP and I tried to represent the other side too to make it a fair thread otherwise I want total obliteration of Hamas and have no sympathy for Arabs or Muslims and see most of them as danger to our values so you are making it very hard for me again to post in their favor but..... in 1948 some Jewish immigrants who survived Nazi Germany in occupied Europe were moved under British rule to a land called Palestine. They were not born there. In all fairness they had no place to go but a piece of Germany should have been taken and given to them to live and build. Arabs had nothing to do with their sufferings. They immigrated to Palestine and kicked local people born there out of their lands and occupied Palestine and declare it state of Israel and ever since then used excessive force to continue their occupation. Now after 70 years of war and millions of Palestinians living in refugee camps they don't even want to give them a state to live in as Palestinian state and some people like OP want them to continue living as refugees and stateless and I am saying until Israeli and Arabs learn to live alongside each other, war and hate and terrorism and risk of destruction for Israel continues, That is all I am saying.

  19. Exactly. This was in the news today: Toyota shows 'an engine reborn' with green fuel despite global push for battery electric cars (msn.com) Toyota is very well-established, able to put more money into R&D than some smaller manufacturers. There may be better innovations coming downstream and here we are with all our eggs in one basket. From the article: This is the problem I see with the Liberals and their climate hysteria. There is no thought given to our economy or what is socially responsible. I wish they would just come out and say the truth we all know - going "green" means drastically lowering living standards. They know this. We all know it. but instead they keep hyping the message that going green is going to make us all richer and better off. No. We are going to be poorer, our living standards will continue to plummet.

  20. There were a number of problems with that report as it turned out. They only considered 'permanent' residents, they took population figures from one year but doctors from the next, etc etc. and not all the doctors were actually active. They may still have their license but they could be retired already or semi retired. But the biggest issue which isn't addressed in that report (tho it's alluded to in the article) is that the vast majority of those doctors are specialists, and not family doctors or GP's as they've been known. There is far less money in being a GP than there is being a specialist doctor. So there's a horrible shortage of them and that's why people can't find one. Unfortunately that's a major block to health care because you can only see a specialist if referred by a GP as a rule. The problem will remain until the provinces make it more attractive to be a GP in Canada.

  23. So, in "Medical Journal Scandal" world - 11,000 peer-reviewed studies have been removed from online sources in the biggest pay-to-verify scandal ever. This has actually been brewing for a very long time, so it's good to see something finally being done about it. This is one of the reasons why I tend to favour independent studies and ALWAYS check the conflicts section of any paper to see who is paying for it. Scientists can be bought just as easy as politicians.

  26. The Palestinians have been offered peace plans four times, and rejected all four. “Right of Return” is not possible, because it could lead to an Arab majority rule which would then expel all of the Jews. Anyone who’s been to Israel can see that it’s not a nation of white colonial settlers. Most Israelis are from North Africa and the Middle East, not Europe.

  29. Israel has been defending itself since it's inception, and if not for US protectionism it would have fallen and the jews would have no homeland to speak off, and around the world their would be lots of rejoicing...nothing more than a brief mention in the history books...all of It's neighbors have much stronger militaries... they just don't know how to use them effectively...being Russian trained and all. Israel has always had it's back against the wall...and has come close to being over run by Arab forces a few times... oppression and revenge...How are they oppressing those that live in Gaza...Hamas has been in charge of everything since 2005.... and revenge...not even sure where this is coming from, lets all go back to 9/11 US was attacked , they waged that war for 16 years...killed hundreds of thousands of terrorist not once did the UN lift a finger, nor the ICJ...i guess it is all right for one group to defend themselves, but the minute the conversation turns to Israel it gets ugly for everyone...Not sure why we have two standards... Not that the ICJ or the UN has any power to due anything but make up more policies...but has nothing to enforce them... No one can answer the question How is a 2 state solution going to magically fix things...what is going to change...70 plus years of not living peacefully has got to send up red flags, all of a sudden you think because the UN recognizes a state for Palestinians everyone is going to hug and party like it is 1999....Thats wishful thinking...and you bought into a pipe dream... Hamas and Hezbollah exist today because their governments have failed the extremist...that and Iran's need to screw things up in the area...it is a power struggle with other Muslim nations, that drives Iran... Israel is stuck in a no win war because the globe has got to stick their noses in where it does not belong...no other conflict is being dictated to like this one... Israel is not going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon EVER...they and many past government have already stated that as fact...Not sure the US is going to let that happen either.... Israel is not denying any ones state, that is coming from the UN, Israel does not have the power to deny anything...Now after this gaza thing comes to a close, i don't think Israelis army is leaving Gaza anytime soon...why would it ?

  33. I think your opinion has already been debunked, Hamas and the palestinian people have been in control of gaza city since 2005...what will having a two state solution fix ? The west bank is controlled by Fatah another terrorist group, which has it's own story but thats not what we are talking about right now..... Hamas has attacked Israel and right now it's sole objective is to destroy Hamas and it's ability to conduct terrorist attacks, sounds reasonable but you have to do it in a friendly manner..........My question is what makes you think the only solution is a two state solution... This attack on oct has clearly shown that the walls is not enough to protect the people of Israel, it needs more walls, more security measures, it needs Harden military installations in placed manned 24/7, it needs to contain Gaza population to their own borders...Cut them off from all assistance from Israel...no jobs, no exports from Israel...nothing...Same as the northern border... Everyone in the world agrees that Hamas is the bad guy here...But the world won't let Israel defend itself, the world will decide when and where this conflict goes...and right now it does not agree with israel that Hamas needs to be destroyed...It favors Hamas There are not that many serious persons in the world, because most are saying quite the opposite.....The world is telling Israel how to conduct it's war with Hamas.....and Israel needs to chill out, and let Hamas live , to rebuild and in the future conduct more attacks on Israel........ there are over 60 conflicts ongoing in the world to day... None of them have attracted this much attention as this Hamas /israel one, the ICJ has not ordered any arrest , except for putin and his gang...the UN has not placed any restriction on any of the other conflicts...investigated any of them for war crimes, except Russia...seems like the world hates Russia and Israel everyone else can do what ever they want...You do know that Hamas has thousands of terrorist working for them...numbering in the tens of thousands...explain to the readers how Israel's excellent intel service could deal with these numbers...without deploying their army as they are doing...

  35. First off Iran is not an Arab country. It has been occupied by Arab loving terrorists but the nation of Iran is Persian not Arab and do not refer to the regime as Iran. It is Islamic Republic who is full of hate for everyone even its own citizens is not Iran which has a rich 2500 years of Zoroastrian culture or the peace loving nation of Iran. If you wish to eliminate the threat posed by Islamic republic, then help the nation of Iran and opposition groups to eliminate this terrorist regime from the face of the planet. Second Israel may be tiny area-wise but it is a powerful country. Don't try to falsely represent Israel as weak or victim. Yes I agree it is surrounded by hostile neighbors but it has the support of powerful armies and both financial and military support from most powerful countries in the world not to mention the powerful Zionist lobbyists. Peace cannot be achieved for Israel and it will be exposed to the risk of destruction for as long as it existence is based on oppression and revenge. Two state solution in which both Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace alongside is the only solution otherwise its enemies are getting stronger every day. Hamas and Hezbolah did not exist in 1967 when Israel crushed the three Arab armies in 6 days but now 50 years later they have a bigger problem in which after eight months they are stuck in a no-win war. Islamic republic will soon become nuclear too and denying Palestinian state will not change that. Believe me I would be the last to support Arabs or Palestinians or Muslims but when I see a one-sided unfair post I cannot stay silent to it.

  36. @Michael Hardner: I'd love for you to write down what you think is the "offer that's on the table for Israel to sign" right now, what offer was on the table in 1948, what offer was on the table in 1967, or at any point between... What are their options? What was the very best offer that they have ever received, to date?

  37. I've never said that some of their complaints aren't legitimate, that's a strawman. We're here today because most Palestinians, especially their leaders, do not recognize Israel's right to exist. There will be permanent warfare as long as Israel exists. Do you deny this? They had negotiations for the UN Partition Plan, they failed. Camp David failed. Do research about why. The Palestinian governments have never wanted any final 2-state solution, except as a bad faith attempt to gain concessions to get closer to a 1-state solution of Arab control, which is what they really want. Maybe Abbas is different, I don't know. He's also a holocaust denier so who knows. My preference is a 2-state solution. That is not the Arab preference, and at times not the Israel preference but at times Israel have also been ready to make a 2-state solution and make concessions. They conceded Gaza while asking nothing in return, and it's been nothing but a disaster, and driven the Israeli government harder to the right. You give them back all of the West Bank (which Israel should probably do) and we're back to pre-1967 borders, and pre-1967 they were also not satisfied and attacked Israel. The UN Partition Plan gave much more land than the pre-1967 borders, and the Arab leaders rejected it and immediately launched an attack on Israel. What has changed? Every time Arabs launch a major attack on Israel, they end up losing, either many innocent lives or more land. Every single time. We will have peace when Palestinian/Arab leadership stops looking for a military solution, stops attacking Israel and is finally ready for good faith negotiations towards 2 states. And it would take a lot of faith for Israel to trust them on that and make more concessions at this point.

  38. Is this a joke? There is nothing clear about this rambling nonsense. It is just another retread of your past failed deceptive arguments. Basically, you just ignored everything I just said, and are back to pretending like Russia was not the one behind the referendum. Then you are back to trying to say your whole argument here is that it is just an expense we can't afford right now. You have not played this angle since a month ago before I really knew you and we already peeled back this as a layer of your deceptive line of argument. Oh, and you are blaming us again... it is amazing how you blame everyone and anything other than Putin while you also outright ignore what he has done and push propaganda to support him and to justify his invasion. Then you pretend to be upset that myself and others keep saying you are supporting Putin and Russia.

  39. Do you think the vast majority of Gazans and Palestinians believe in "From the river to the sea..."? This has been their belief since the day Israel was created and they won't stop killing Jews until all of Israel is conquered by Islam again like it was when the successors of Mohamed's caliphate empire conquered Israel shortly after his death and later renamed it "Palestine" and build mosques on top of the rubble of Jewish synagogues.

  40. You're seriously blaming Canada for the situation and giving Palestinians a free pass? Zionism goes back a lot longer than WWII. Read your history and do your homework. Every 2-state negotiation has failed since 1947 because Palestinian leaders will not accept final borders with Israel because they do not want Israel to exist in any form whatsoever. Their goal is the complete elimination of Israel and they won't EVER stop attacking Israel until this happens. Not in a thousand years.

  42. I am looking forward to the day when we can finally see any business that wants to sell beer, wine or spirits in their stores. Only the government liquor stores and pubs can legally sell booze in BC. Yet, there are some places in some out of the way places that are allowed to sell booze in corner stores. So, why not stores in the cities? When i go across the American border into Blaine, Washington, I can buy booze in grocery stores, drug stores, big box stores, corner stores and even gas stations. BC still has a long way to go before they finally enter the 21st century and allow the selling of booze in any outlet anywhere in the province. As long as the NDP are in power we will probably never see that day come anytime soon. The government liquor stores and ICBC needs to be privatized now. Works for me.

  47. Great news. I have now gone 8 months since my DUI, and I have changed my life. I am healthier, drink far less (2 weeks with no alcohol), feel better, have more energy, and I am now employed at a job I really like. I just hate the fact that the DUI will be on my abstract, causing my insurance to skyrocket, while it pretty much made any jobs where I may ahve been required to drive off-limits until 2026. DUI is not the end of the World. In fact, it may turn out to be the best thing to happen to me in years. I will have the interlock device removed in December, but I doubt I will ever go down the dark path of drinking to a drunken stupor, then driving 9-10 hours later, while I was still technically over the limit.
