  1. Remember how Joe was this huge civil rights leader? Yeah, no one else remembers that either. But he loves to tell everyone that. So, why isn't Joe in NY or at GW, protesting for Palestinians or defending the rights of the Jews that are being attacked? He's a civil rights leader, so he says, and he hasn't said word one about the protests or the rights of either side. Take a side Joe. Be "the civil rights leader" you claim to be. Nope, he's in Deleware sunning his nuts again.

  2. Can you not read? Oops. Imagine equating non-violent protestors exercising their First Amendment rights with a violent street gang like the Proud Boys. You really don't have a clue.

  3. LGBTQ Mafia is a made up thing. I'm not going to change my mind on this topic because you use this term, any more than if I called religious people Evangelical Count Choculas. The courts are the ones that thread the needle, and yes public attitudes are a factor. It would go better for religious folks in the future if they took a less combative stance and more legalistic one. Because the future woke mafia is going to be pretty powerful I'm guessing.

  4. Lol. Sure you do. Everybody forget about the "freedom convoy" and, oh, some little thing that happened on Jan, 6. Nothing says "respect for the rule of law" like a howling mob smashing through the capitol, assaulting police officers and pursuing our lawmakers through buildings and barricades until a LEO finally had to pull the trigger.

  5. I learned about it in 4th grade and am white.. was I beaten over the head with it. My point is that any mention of any kind of any length could be construed as CRT. When I learned about it in 4th grade ( and I am as white as white gets).. I did not feel any kind of shame. Bad stuff happened.. and I was not the perpetrator. folks can learn about atrocities and such and not have it be some form of virtual signaling.

  6. Shouldn't have to here I don't think. MP's need to disclose their assets to the conflict of interest commissioner soon after they've been elected. https://ciec-ccie.parl.gc.ca/en/rules-reglements/Pages/Comp-Proc-MPs-Proc-Conf-Deputes.aspx I think it's just when they or their staff are being lobbied by people like Honda that we also need to be in the room.

  8. Thread is yet another proof that right wingers not only love state violence, it is the central pillar of their ideology. Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

Professional protestors all over the place. Now I wanna know who's been funding this crap. This is going to get really uncomfortable for Libbies.

  12. Oh, you want world population comparisons, eh? Okay, how's this one? Muslims make 23% of world population but got 1.5% Nobel prizes, while the Jews account for 0.2% of world population but got 20% Nobel prizes. Try this one if it makes you happier. 25 men and by my reckoning about 9 are Muslim. No obvious Jews here. https://www.boloprogram.org/

  14. No Israel wanted to show them that Islamic Republic is a paper tiger as they sent 300 missiles and none hit and Israel sent one and hit the center of Iran. and also Islamic Republic uses this incident to crack down at home. The murderous security forces have since attacked and beaten hundreds of women since the manufactured missile attack.

  15. I'm sure many, especially the religious ones, wish Israel had never been created but I don't believe all Palestinians wish that, especially the left-wing secular ones. Peace is probably completely hopeless with religious people leading things over there, especially the right-wing ones. Secular lefties are the only long term hope for everything in the world. I can't think of much that I'd leave up to religious people to figure out over there especially peace in the ME and surrounding region.

  17. I note that you had to add the term "en masse" which isn't in the definition I provided. There's nothing that says ethnic cleansing must be conducted with speed or against a large group at once versus slowly and piecemeal. And there's nothing in the definition of ethnic cleansing about reducing the overall size of a given population either, but please continue to grasp at straws. Again you're doing nothing here but betraying your own ignorance of Israel's policies and motivations here.

  18. I travel to Canada for work about once a year, but I am not familiar with the day to day politics there, but I do find it amazing how the Police can go out of their way to arrest that Rebel News Journalist every other week for merely existing... and it sure seemed like they used the heavy hand of the law during COVID to destroy peoples lives that did not comply or the Truckers protest... but they can't find that these protestors are breaking any laws?

  21. The 'right to protest' has gotten way out of control and has been stretched far beyond it's original meaning. Now it means you have the right to occupy personal property, the right to use physical force and threat to block people's free movement, the right to damage and disrupt lawful activities of people not related to your protest. There needs to be new laws limiting that. Harper tried, hopefully poilevre will step up and put limitis in.

  23. Do you think that you're not supporting genocide Gaetan? Are you honesty oblivious to the fact that Iran, the PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc are all dedicated to genocide? They live and breath it, and have done so for generations. You're the poster boy for support of genocide and you don't even know it.

  24. Now, you are being obtuse. School Choice is clearly a term used to describe choice in publicly funded education opportunities, like vouchers, tax credits, or things like education savings accounts... But let's play. If that is your take on choice, don't expect people who choose something else to have to continue to pay for public schools either. Fair? Or... we just stop funding public education all together, let people choose to do as they please? If you are opposed to paying for public education, lets take you at your word, we won't fund it at all. I see you are a believer in the magic birth canal. You said: "It's not some wonderfully diverse cross section of American life. " My response was to point out that those who identify with being Pro-Life are, in fact, a wonderfully diverse cross-section of American life.

  25. If that's your takeaway then you need to work on your reading comprehension. I'll spell it out for you: I'm not comparing Israel's actions to what happened in the former Yugoslavia, I'm pointing out that Israel's actions meet the criteria for ethnic cleansing established by the UN in the wake of that other conflict, specifically: " a purposeful policy designed by one ethnic or religious group to remove by violent and terror-inspiring means the civilian population of another ethnic or religious group from certain geographic areas.” You don't understand irony either. In short, you clearly rode the short bus to school.

  26. Beave...in that state, Noem was well within her rights and her responsibility to put a dog down that had bitten people and attacked livestock. You obviously don't have what it takes to understand country life. Now you can drive to the grocery store and buy the food farmers bring to market for you. But don't think about it because...evidently your delicate sensibilities can't handle such common realities.

  27. And you're a hypocrite and dishonest. Most people would prefer to be a loon But i guess that's your way of saying "i have no defense of my actions" No it isn't. So - we caught trudeau breaking the law and lying and people like you let him get away with it. Sooooo - how did that restore trust exactly? Again ... we knew the gov't was corrupt and..... But no reason to. As long as people like you continue to let them get away with it and pretend it's harper's fault for not passing MOAR laws then it will continue and get worse. Why do you think we even have a democracy? It was so the public could defend itself against tyranny and corruption that was prevalent under the feudal system. And you're like "Well democracy doesn't matter when it comes to gov'ts". Yeash.

  28. Cite? I'm sure some do. I'm sure some don't. But you're trying to dehumanize them by suggesting it's out of cruelty and it's ALL conervatives. Which kinda makes you the scum ball of the story Cast iron truth bud - posted the story myself But of course it's trump so its ok for dems. Democrats position on killings: Hamas or gazans =bad Israelis = good Dogs =bad Trump = good No, i've spoken out very strongly against the death penalty and the party i support isn't for it. Swing and a miss Jr Did you forget i'm canadian? As to gaza - absolutely not. I entirely support hamas surrendering and putting an end to using children as meat shields. I get that you're pro terrorist so you dont' like that Yeah, no argument. Killing an ex president because you 'hate' him and find him 'dishonorable' is not exactly great either But wait - how is this possible? I'm not in favour of their actions and yet you assured me it was ALL conservatives. Your hypocrisy is showing.

  29. I'd have to see a specific legislative proposal to comment on whether I support it or not, but I don't have any problem with excluding the underage if it's done in a way that respects the privacy of others. Lol. At least you're consistent in that you don't like colorful examples to illustrate the point in a practical way. Which, again, is my beef with your argument. If you're not talking about these things in a practical, relevant--and compelling--way, then your message doesn't much matter. You know, funny as it is, I've NEVER tried to tell educators how to do their jobs. I've never pushed my views on anyone, nor tried to communicate any information to any children outside of my own. You, on the other hand, intend to do exactly that. You look at the decisions that these educators have made locally -- these people who have both the pedagogical expertise and the relationship with real teens--and you wag your finger and say "I know better. Get those books out of there." You've thoroughly confused our roles here. I simply asked you to examine the merits of alternative approaches amid a changing social landscape. But your response is that we should both stay out of teachers business--as long as the teachers teach the way you want them to.🙄 But you can't muster the courtesy to refer to people as they view themselves? If some biological male wants to be a woman, or vice versa, how does that harm you? Is it a power thing? They have to see and refer to themselves as you see them rather than how they see themselves? Can't manage an alternative pronoun if it makes someone else feel more comfortable? Yes, that's a pretty good example of intolerance. If you can't tolerate the harmless little differences between individuals and groups, you are intolerant. My "political ideology" is tolerance. It's basic kindness. It's the core lesson in every kindergarten class, until society teaches some kids how to be cruel, and discriminate and bully (in their tiny MAGA hats, I presume). Noooooope. You're being wildly disingenuous. Nobody anywhere is going to be persuaded that the "pro-life flag" isn't hostile to pro-choice people. There are two sides to that debate, and you know full well which side is lined up outside of reproductive medicine clinics to heckle women and shout "baby killer!" at the doctors. The pride flag has no such connotation. There are no throngs of gay people hectoring passersby trying to turn them gay. There's simply gay people finding the courage to be proud of who they are in an often hostile society. Apples and watermelons. As before, if the message of self acceptance and tolerance is a problem for you, the flag isn't the problem.

  32. But to support corruption. Not get rid of it. That's the problem. If i'd voted like you did i'd feel sick to my stomach too But i wouldn't be dumb enough to blame someone else. I don't think that 'Corruption' should be a "partisan" issue. It's telling that you do. My position is that corruption should be punished by the voters - and you seem to be saying that you disagree with that. That it's just a "Partisan" position. Yet you claim we need more accountability. What a hypocrite. This is why the left fails at everything it tries.

  33. No, eyeball. They can because that's how business works. Acquire goods or services, figure how much it cost you, mark it up and pass it on. Consumers have a choice of buying the goods or services or not. And if you raise costs for ALL businesses in that sector then they all raise their prices. It's just that simple. There is no way for the gov't to 'force' businesses to take less profit in the end without driving business away from the country.

  34. Not me. I voted for someone else. You only say I voted for Trudeau because I didn't vote for whoever you thought I should. You similarly assume that if I mock some lame-assed silly criticism of Trudeau I'm supporting him. If it needs to be said these criticisms don't do much to make me want to consider voting for your guy instead, well that's not my fault either.

  38. And yet families that are filled with women and children are being killed anyway. Because they're Jewish? No doubt some do I'm sure but there are also secular Palestinians who don't care about religion - so that means religion can be ruled out as a deal breaking obstacle. It can be overcome if enough people put their minds to it. That would include us btw.

  39. Of the inquiries and committees. There a quite a few channels on YouTube that livestream them or show parts of them. You can also follow the actual politicians who are assigned to the committees - Larry Brock is on quite a few of them and he gives lots of updates. I also have gotten to quite like Kelly Block - she asks really good questions in the committees.

  40. You are free to complain to your hearts content.. and I am free to not. See how that works? Its not a 1st amendment violation to complain about it. Clear enough? My stance is that society should free to produce such content and the members of society should be free to like it or not. I do get the impression that you would support legislation that would ban "woke" content.

  46. The rot in universities is so deep now that higher education has lost a lot of credibility over the past few years. Once bastions of free speech and innovation, students must proclaim their allegiance to the anti-colonial, anti-patriarchal rainbow and climate zealots. It’s not that universities didn’t have Marxists, feminists, gender studies and pseudosciences before, it’s their elevation to the level of unquestioned dogma and so-called reality that’s frightening. Questioning it risks reputation or actual career loss. What got us here? The guy who sat on George Floyd? Constant messaging in liberal media and facile devouring mothers like those on dumb shows like The View? No, the radical activists have infiltrated our governments and HR departments. When people are labeled white supremacists or privileged simply because they are white and haven’t bent the knee or declared themselves “allies” of the radicals, when people are forced to use language they don’t agree with based on pseudoscience (non-biological gender pronouns), and what used to be understood as killing (based on science) is normalized or downplayed in radical ways (unlimited abortion and euthanasia), and when students aren’t even allowed to question these creepy new dubious orthodoxies in case they’re triggered or offended, you have the ingredients of cultural collapse. Universities are leading the revolution. That’s why I’ve encouraged my kids to enter fields that the stupid people haven’t been able to monopolize like engineering. Unscientific stupidity and flakiness are quickly exposed in such disciplines.
