  1. You can’t make this shit up, people. Trump, the most hedonistic sacrilegious politician imaginable is now selling $60 bibles with a portion of the proceeds going to him, of course. After his failed ugly$400 sneakers, too…which still haven’t been provided to all buyers BTW Obviously all these cash raising schemes are just a front for various scumbags, American oligarchs and Russians to funnel him election money But hilariously there right-tards have a thread asking if Dems are a cult ans they shell out hundreds for hos scams.

  2. Not my first choice, but if you support unhinged immigration levels that exceed (virtually) every measurable aspect of "minimum infrastructure required", then it may qualify as an alternative to shivering in a tent. As an exflyer, I suspect you know exactly what happens when "maximum thrust available" equals "minimum thrust required." If you consider things like housing, inflation, taxation, regulatory environment, policing, medical availability, etc as the rising ground in that scenario then I don't think anything we're seeing here qualifies as surprising. Personally, I would have jettisoned all armament and been dumping fuel long before this, no fuel dump checklist either, just radar, HF, transponder and TACAN off followed by the smell of freedom. Up next is that distinctive tink, tink, tink tink sound as all thrust levers hit the stops.

  3. Bloated and overpaid political class, detached from the reality of everyday Canadians. Their pay bump on April 1 is far greater than what they’ll be paying in carbon taxes, a cruel April fool’s joke on Canadians.

  4. Not that I think you people care a bit about reality, but... NYC Dept of Finance Your Assessed Value is based on a percentage of your Market Value. This percentage is known as the Level of Assessment or Assessment Ratio. Your Assessment Ratio depends on your tax class. Assessment Ratios Tax class 1 6% Tax class 2, 3 and 4 45% Limits on Increases for Class 1, 2a, 2b and 2c properties. State law limits how much Assessed Values can increase each year for certain tax classes. Your tax class determines what limits apply to your property: Tax class 1 - 6% per year, no more than 20% over 5 years. Tax class 2a, 2b, 2c - 8% per year, no more than 30% over 5 years for building with 10 or less units.

  5. The BC carbon tax is nothing other than a wealth redistribution scheme, or Socialism. That's why the NDP love it. They just said on the news 65% of people will get more in rebates than they paid. Why only 65% anyway? I thought the rest of the country according to Trudeau gets 80% back. BC is being scammed. I don't believe we get 65% back. In fact, the amount we get back is carefully kept out of view. Nobody gets a statement to say what they received and the rebate is combined with a PST or GST rebate of some kind. It automatically goes into the bank account but for a married couple, I believe it goes into the spouse with the lowest income and the person is not notified. So unless one is really up on the system and watching their bank account, they won't know how much they are getting. It is also tied to income, so only low income people receive the maximum in keeping with Socialist-Communist policy. Trouble is they don't take into consideration the increased cost of groceries and everything else the carbon tax causes. So it is impossible to know if one is losing money on the carbon tax. I suspect the majority of people are losing money but it is impossible to prove as it was designed that way. The NDP is going to impose a long list of new taxes or is already doing so. So they are giving a small rebate through BC Hydro. The whole thing is Socialists like to impose all kinds of taxes for everything and then throw some money back to make people feel they are really getting something. But the high cost of living combined with the highest gas prices in north America simply make living very difficult for many people in B.C.

  7. These latest attempts by LGBTQ2S+ and other identity groups to amend the Online Harms Bill reveal the dark and sinister oppression underway of religious rights and the rise of secular fascism. Quebec has already moved down that road with Bill 20. Christianity and other religions are being forced underground. People are being compelled to say and think what they don’t believe, in violation of their faith. The Online Harms Bill is another attempt to remove free speech from Canadians. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-religion-online-harms-bill/#:~:text=Globe and Mail-,MPs%2C Jewish groups seek to end religious hate-speech,defence in online harms bill

  9. True, and it’s fine for her to cause as much greenhouse gas emission in that trip than I do in a few months because she’s so smart and knows what’s good for me. When I create greenhouse gas emissions, I’m being selfish. When she does it, she’s saving the planet, well making other people save the planet, which is good. I’m all for paying lots of taxes to pay for theories about what might save the planet, and the people who have these theories and impose these rules shouldn’t have to play by them. Anyway they make a lot more money than most people and aren’t impacted by these rules, which is good because our masters are such good people.

  10. where do you see that? In fact there's more of those clinics in canada than there ever was. So - where's this 'yank funding' happening? Awww - are we making crap up because we feel bad about the truth again? How cute Nope. Sorry, they didn't. They actually treated them far better than they treated the gays. And once It does with health care. You don't 'accidentally' fund a medical facility. All of that stuff is gone over with a fine tooth comb. Provincial gov'ts take more political flack over health care and health care spending than they do virtually any other budget line - the opening of those clinics would have been reported in teh news back in the day and been a topic for discussion and the issue of when the gov't should pay for it was actually a public conversation, with the provinces saying it should be only with consultation with a psychiatric professional. Sorry kiddo. The gov'ts of the day knew what was happening and they deliberately and willingly paid to provide that care. And they didn't get thrown out over it by their voters either. Nyaah nyahh wrong again Conservatives had FAR less issues with trans, whom they saw as victims of a medical condition, than they did with gays whom they saw as a threat to the traditional family. And thus they move to support them and provide for their rights and medical treatments. Ruh Roe Shaggy - turns out your boogieman about the conservatives being evil monsters who hate all 'others' is a completely false narrative. LIke most of yours are.

  12. I was responding to quebecovercanada absurd comment "That's when provincial governments come into play and build social housing, and make the Feds pay for it." Asking him if Canada should become a communist country and provide everyone with free housing. Are you agreeing that the feds provide everyone with free housing?? I never said anything about immigration. Not sure what you are trying to convey with your flight analogy.

  14. Let me guess, you are talking about the trash border bill. Trump didn't block it he has no power besides call it political but why the hell should Republicans give Biden and Democrats a win when they ignored the problem for 3 years. There was another border bill that Schumer refused to let come the floor that was passed by the House. I don't see you crying about that one. Americans don't want compromise on the border, they want it shut down and they don't want 5000 people coming in daily. They want the asylum loophole closed and allow people to immediately be deported and not allowed in the country for years awaiting a hearing soaking up our resources.

  16. Yup. It’s clear that much of Canada’s current hardship is self-made: too many stupid ideological projects that cater to the NDP and left wing radicals, too much red tape for resource development, too much emphasis on international projects like climate change purity and eugenics programs, too many morally dubious incursions into family life and individual freedoms (compelled speech for pronouns and child gender identity affirmation, vaccine mandates and dubious science), too much abuse of power to silence political opposition (banning protests and denigrating protesters, funding and control of media, anti-free speech legislation), too much spending and imposition of racist DEI staffing and pseudoscience, too many government programs in general that are paid for through taxes and borrowing. Danielle Smith has it right on carbon taxes: They’re just another collectivist income redistribution scheme. The Liberals have become the out of touch Politburo who think that they know better how you should spend your money and live your life, so they’re taking your money and regulating your life, getting media on board to scare you into compliance, and cancelling or denigrating anyone who speaks up. Of course they have no idea what challenges ordinary people face, but if they can convince people that they’re saving them by overtaxing them to pay for questionable schemes, then maybe they can keep their seats long enough to get those gold plated pensions, which they already have, so the thrill is gone. That’s why Trudeau and his yes people are bored. They already pulled the wool over people’s eyes successfully.

  18. "Real choice", "alternative", "new directions" are all great words. The quagmire is very real. The incumbents have decisively turned into exploring their own navels, to the maximum depth and time possible and cannot come up with new directions for the countries, and candidates to lead it. But the spoilers aren't there for that reason. They are there to pump hot air, and fish in the muddy waters. These times, of vague uncertainty have always been the prime season for all kinds of political and social flotsam. The choice is good if it results in representation of all voices, and votes. But in the binary system, there will be, always, only one winner. The spoilers aren't dumb to not know it. They are just not telling you. Not in their interests. So by taking a vote from a candidate who could win, the spoiler, who has no chance of winning does nothing more than helping the other pretender. This is how the binary system works, it's not great; it's an imminent danger to democracy, but as of now this is how it works, and will work. The real change, a genuine path out of this conundrum cannot be found in more of unlikely and plain impossible words and promises.

  19. Nope. they'll see rent coming under control and they'll be able to afford more food and they will rush to the polls to vote for him a second time. And we'll have a census in there too - more seats for the west, fewer for quebec. And the RCMP are predicting the riots could happen NOW. Under justin. If things stay as they are. LOL!! Nice try tho. You had your chance with that - you've burned the country down. Your simple solution has been a disaster. So we'll try another simple solution. Let people keep their money and make it worth while for businesses to be here and create wealth and jobs. And no more useless services like the cbc.

  20. They are. Most landlords in Canada are small investors who own 1 - 3 revenue homes. Until recently that was the biggest source of rentals. We don't build purpose built rentals anywhere remotely close to our needs - and the vast majority we do build are where the gov't lets developers build bigger bulidlings if they build a little rental with it. So those small investors for the most part have rather large mortgages. And when you look at the total costs (strata fees, property taxes etc) the vast majority will break even or SLIGHTLY LESS every year if there's no unusual damages and the tenant pays thier rent. Now - lets look at 2020. In parts of canada Condo insurance - the single largest expense for stratas and for strata fees - went up by 200 - 600 percent. Strata fees doubled in many cases. Without warning. This had nothing to do with covid btw. And because most provinces have rent control the landlords had to bear that extra cost - hundreds of dollars a month that they couldn't get from the tenants. And then covid - where most gov'ts said you couldn't kick someone out even if they didn't pay their rent. But the landlord still had to pay the mortgage. I know of many that got stuck with that and wiped out. The gov't just decided that they would make landlords responsible for the social safety net - "Here - YOU pay for this social benefit". No compensation, no forgiveness and it went on for years. then inflation hit - the cost of strata fees went up again and maintaning homes went up and interest rates shot throught the roof - but that's ok becase rent had always been tied to inflation right? The gov't held the rental increases to inflation - coudln't charge more than inflation. So - that always hurt them in the past but now landlords would be able to raise their rates based on inflation.' NOPE!!!!! Gov't banned that too. They decided it would be unfair for renters to have to pay increases based on inflation being that high!!!! SO they lowered the amount they could raise it. Again - gov't decides that hte landlords will pay for the gov'ts social agenda. Now landlords are fleeing the market and selling either to very wealthy people who can afford their home or investment companies who see the writing on the wall and know rents will just go up. And they're buying less and less - and developers have started buildling fewer homes in anticipation that sales will weaken. Which means fewer rentals. The landlords are VERY concerned. And if the tenants had any brains they'd be very concerned that the landlords are concerned

  22. He does if they qualify for any government grants or loans, somehow i don't think they are worried about not making a payment to the bank.......Here in NB a lot of people are getting tax breaks for renting out basements etc, and for the most part the renters are paying the full mortgage amount in rent... hence why more and more people are doing it having granie suits put in the basements...rent pays the mortgage payment, owners put the same down on the mortgage doubling up the payment it is a win win... Here in Gagetown there must be atleast 4 major apartment buildings being built by 2 different companies...each with about 40 units each, for a small town that is a lot of construction, not counting the low income apartments which there is 2 of them being built with 20 apartments' each. Politicians don't even know were Gagetown is except when there is a military photo op... Nobody said being a land lord is easy, just that they are making a good dollar for their service...and rent would have to slide a huge amount for them not to cover their expenses...besides most of the rental units here are own by maybe 4 different people or companies...the rich get richer...as they say.

  24. Back-peddling looks like this: The vaccines will be safe and effective The vaccines will get us to herd immunity. The vaccines are safe and effective. If you're vaxed you don't have to worry about getting covid, an dyou don't have to worry about giving grandma covid. --- backpeddle #1: You will still get covid, you'll still get sick, but you won't end up in the hospital---- --- backpeddle #2: If you get covid you'll still end up in the hospital, but you won't end up in the ICU---- --- backpeddle #3: If you get covid you'll still end up in the ICU, but you won't die---- *note that at this point, they were still pretending that the vax was slowing the spread, thus justifying jab-mandates* --- backpeddle #5: We never said that the vax would get us to herd immunity---- *note that at this point the multi-vaxed were dying in droves, but no one has ever admitted that, not even now. The narrative became: "There is a pandemic of the unvaccinated", but that was a lie at the moment it was said. The anti-jabbers never back-peddled at all. The stance actually escalated from: "Maybe the vaxes won't work, let's keep exploring other options" to "Multi-jabbed people are still ending up in ICU, so it's obviously not working, and the vaxed can still spread covid if they're getting that sick" to "People are dying, and we now know that healthy young people don't need a vaccine anyways, let's leave them out." to: "Lots of people are dying, and we now know that healthy young people don't need a vaccine anyways. Let's not force them to vax." to "The jab is injuring/killing young people. Let's stop forcing them to vax." Mic drop.

Your mother in law was born the year German tanks rolled into her country and for the first 51 years of her life it had either German or Soviet troops based there with either the Nazi's or Soviets calling the shots. Seems like she pines for those days. Macron won't unilaterally send troops to Ukraine but hey. French troops helping Ukrainians defend their country, bad. Russian troops trying to occupy their country, good. Right. You would give Russia whatever it wants, Ukrainians get no say in the matter. Sad.
