So you're convinced 'the sky is falling'? Why? None of the previous predictions have ever been accurate. Nothing is collapsing except the economy. Here we use rather clean means of power generation. But has it been reasonable to drive the cost of transportation so high it drags the rest of the economy down with it? Has that been wise? Effective? Wouldn't it be a better use of resources to allow the fossil fuel industry to flourish and use the windfall of tax funds from it to fund green power generation research for something that can actually function reliably and cost effectively? What we've done is panic in the face of...unreliable doomsday predictions. Its back-asswards.3 points

I think we all need to be cognizant of the fact that a lot of foreign interests benefit greatly from our attacks on our own energy sector. When we stop burning coal, China buys our coal up for cheap and they burn it. When we stop using gas cars, we use batteries to power our cars, 90% of whose rare-earth minerals come from Chinese companies. When we stop producing gas and oil, we help raise the price of gas and oil sold by foreign interests. When we create wind farms and buy solar panels, we buy all of that stuff from foreign countries. Meanwhile, they emit 20x as much carbon as we do. All of the proponents of the above are against nuclear energy, and foreign interests don't profit from nuclear power plants here. Hmmmmmm...2 points

It's mostly made up of old times deadbeats and losers, like charest. I really doubt it'll get off the ground and i doubt it would appeal to many if it did. The libs are likely to go down VERY hard in the next election, and they'll know precisely why - they drifted too far to the left and that was kind of a fad, and now that voters have had a taste of what life on the left is like (no home, no lights , no motorcar, not a single luxury) they're not going to be interested. So - after they lose the liberal party will miraculously attempt to move back to the center as if they never left. The cpc will and does have at least one foot in the center, contrary to the opinion of the radical left who sees anyone right of castro as a nazi. So a "centrist" party would be squeezed badly in between both and they'd quickly find that all their policies already existed on one side or the other, and there'd be no distinguishing them. Fringe parties work when they're on the fringe. Not when they're mimicking mainstream.2 points

Rudeness is the least of it. He's just a big orange skin sack filled with the seven deadly sins. The man has no redeeming qualities. He has no love or loyalty or faithfulness to anyone but himself. I swear, he only even likes his children insomuch as they are his legacy. If one of them crossed him or became a liability, I expect he'd turn on them as quickly a any of his once-loyal associates. I don't know a single person who would want their son to grow up to be that man, or who would what their daughter to marry a man like that. I'm not saying any of this as a point of politics or bombast. I can say positive things about any other post Republican POTUS and usually several of the candidates in any given cycle. He's just the worst human being. And he doesn't embody any of the positive qualities Republicans once identified as virtues either. I know that aspects of populist politics appeal to a certain type of voter, but at least find one who is a decent person worthy of respect.2 points

Maybe there's a bigger center than people realize. Look at how many conservatives around here have been written off as left wingers these last few years for example. I'm pretty sure there are lots of right wing progressives who'd move in their direction if they had the choice. The problem with voting for the CPC means that you're voting for a party which includes a high percentage of deplorable chuds. I figure that's around 25% of the party and 10% of the Canadian electorate. As the next election draws closer Poilievre will need to scrape these off or face an uphill struggle trying to keep soft-boiled conservatives interested. Especially the more triggered the hard-boiled ones get and start looking more deep-fried.2 points

Why is everything down to left and right. Why can people not just have opinions or beliefs or thoughts about something and not making it political? This blaming left or right shit is being very narrow minded and bigoted. People can believe one thing and can have different opinions on another and, believe it or not, are not politically driven. I sometimes argue with CdnFox... and sometimes agree with him...am I ambidextrous or left or right or just have a mind of my own and do not follow the crowd? I can fully understand a person not liking the present government and their leader but that does not mean everyone that agrees with one or 2 policies is left. You, Army Guy, were once a very middle of the road kind of person that could hold a discussion but you have lately become one of those where everything is left or right politically.2 points

It's all just propaganda, folks. There has been 1600 scientists and 7 top economists that have said that a climate crisis does not exist. It's all just a fraud. All this nonsense about all of this dangerous carbon in the air is a lie. The more carbon in the air the more plant life will grow and survive which is great for we humans because plants give off oxygen which helps keep we humans alive. Without carbon plants or humans or animals would not be here. While the west tries to impose carbon taxes to tries to stop all carbon emissions, in China, they are building more and more coal powered plants. So, why we taxpayer's in the west have to sacrifice our normal lives and pay carbon taxes to fight climate change, the Chinese just keep adding more carbon in the air. This climate crisis is all about the money, like everything else is in life. When our politicians and the lying and fake MSM try and push an agenda, like with climate change crisis today, one should know by now that it has to be all bullshit. When was the last time our politicians and the MSM told the truth about anything, except what they want we the sheeple to believe? I do not believe in a climate crisis and neither should you. There are many scammers out there making plenty of money off this climate crisis scam. Al Gore being one of them. Gore hav mad millions trying to get people all up in a panic over nothing, and make plenty of dollars from it. Yet, these same liar like Gore refuse to heed their own warnings and words. Gore will still fly by private jet, drive big gas guzzling SUV'S and own several homes. These liars laugh at those who believe their lies. Come on people, wake the hell up, will you. Stop listening to those liars. They are just trying to make big bucks off of trying to scare you half to death. What say you? Source: The Iron Will Report. ☺️1 point

Where has carbon hurt anyone? You are alive because of carbon. The more carbon in the air the more trees and plants will grow which means life for humans who need oxygen to live. Does any of the other alternatives to fossil fuels add carbon to the air? I don't think so. A little bit of carbon in the air that is being created by the use of fossil fuels is very little. What you are trying to do here is that you are willing to go along with the globalist WEF elite plans of eliminating carbon from fossil fuels and prefer to go their route of going all out for electric everything. There is nothing wrong with electricity. We all need and use it every day to live and be comfortable. But why are the globalists so bent on trying so hard to end the use of fossil fuel vehicles and want to push EV vehicles? I say that if one wants to buy an EV, go for it. Go pay the high price of buying an EV. I see no harm in myself wanting to continue to drive a vehicle that runs on fossil fuel. My fossil fuel vehicle is not hurting the environment, but on the contrary, it is helping the environment by producing carbon into the air which in the end helps me to breath in oxygen for my survival. And don't try and convince me that because of the use of fossil fuels is the main reason why we are seeing today more fires and floods. Fossil fuels are not causing all those fires and floods. But something or someone sure as hell is as far as I am concerned. In the Maui fires all the water was turned off and the people were unable to access water to try and fight the fire in Maui. Seems a bit suspicious looking, don't you think? To me it does. ?1 point

In a way. I doubt it'd actually split the right. But some blue libs and red tories who don't feel comfortable with the libs or the CPC but who were accessible to those parties depending on the circumstances might feel they have another choice and become inaccessible. But to be honest - i've been hearing what these guys have been muttering since the leadership race and all they are is SLIGHTLY more center liberals. And the liberals is where they'll tend to pull from vote wise. But really - i don't think they'll have much influence either way.1 point

Right. So my point is that we need to know more details about this guy and the accusations against him, and against the Indian government. There's a lot of unproven claims being made by everyone. If you have a crawl space and it is only one floor duct work can still be installed by running the duct through your floor Joyce, you 'd have to ask a dealer what the cost are and what the fed and provinces will provide for funding...it would be a plus if you ever decided to sell your home, it would take maybe 8 to 10 years before it paid for itself. and it will save on the power bills... I bought my gen at home hard ware for 1200.00, and the pellet stove for 3000.00 installed... you can get propane tanks upto 1200 lbs... if you want, but 350 lb last me about the whole winter, with about 3 to 5 power outages, about 1 to 3 days each... it also powers up my BBQ, generator, cost me about 3 to 400 dollars each fill up...but it runs the whole house, and comes on onc e the power shuts off...i can control what i provide power to, via a pony panel...i just flipped the switch from city power to gen power and it is that easy...1 point

I like fossil fuels and think they have brought a fair amount of good life to billions of people on earth. Natural gas is a valuable natural resource and fairly clean too. I think Canada has lots of it in the earth. Northern Canada has a huge supply of gas underground that hasn't even been tapped yet. We need to resist the enviro wackos who want to destroy the oil and gas industry. If they want to try to live off solar and wind, they can go for it. But they should stop trying to wreck everyone else's life and stop telling us what to do. Canadians standard of living has been going down steadily under the Liberals with their carbon tax and anti-energy industry regulations. This is driving up the price of living and making life more costly for everyone except the elite who are not effected by it.1 point

Excellent, although Mr. Modi may have a lengthy list in mind. I presume it’s not just India you’d like to help in this regard? Can other countries ‘take out’ people they claim to be terrorists here too? Seems only fair. And why let foreigners have all the fun? I’m sure there are many of us Canadians who just know we’ve found a terrorist or two in our community.1 point

I didn't mean to suggest that he isn't a citizen there, I just did that to provide a far more pertinent description of him than you did. Kenny from Tim Hortons is a Canadian citizen. So is Kathy from the bank by where you live. Little Johnny and Jamal in pre-school are also Canadian citizens. And no one is trying to kill them, except for maybe actual terrorists, like the guy that the Indian gov't just wasted. If someone kills an actual Canadian, who is just going about their business and not trying to get a genocide started in a foreign country, I'll take umbrage to that. I promise. FWIW one could describe Ayman al-Zawahiri as an "Egyptian citizen" if they wanted to, but he wasn't killed for being an Egyptian citizen - he was killed for being a terrorist leader. I don't think most Egyptians want to be associated with him. Should the Egyptian gov't have shook their fists after he was killed? He didn't get a trial, right? If a Canadian citizen is a victim of an extrajudicial killing by the Zimbabwe gov't while that person is in Krispy Kreme in a Delaware, isn't that also acting against our sovereignty? Was Egypt slapped in the face when Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed? Call me crazy, I just don't give a crap. You tell me how many terrorist leaders there are in Canada, and I'll tell you how many people I want the gov't of India to waste.1 point

How about national NeuroDivergent month? Kids with ADD, Dyslexics, or who are on the Autism spectrum all have horrific challenges and face serious prejudices. They're real too aren't they? And that right there is the problem. When you take one group and say "this group is special" - what you're really saying is "these other groups are not". There's just no denying that. And it breeds resentment, it makes the others feel excluded, and pretty quick it has divided kids, not brought them together.1 point

There are legitimate causes which require masking up and covering up one's face. When you deal with a tyrannical government, when you are fighting a cause in which you might lose everything by being recognized, it's normal to act like that. But this kind of behavior is purely cowardice. No one is in danger from these protesters who are expressing their opinions about gender. I just wish that people who are demonstrating will not be cowards themselves and would defend themselves if attacked by the activist groups who seem to have impunity to assault from many police departments across Canada.1 point

Lol… nice how you insult someone without bothering to explain what your disagreement is. I guess that’s because you incorrectly assume everyone knows what you’re thinking. You’re so certain you’re right that you think everybody knows what is “right” and they only disagree with you because they have evil intent. This is not so.1 point

The devil is in the details. We did a fair bit of FN studies when i was a kid - very interesting and very educational. We had FN chiefs come to speak, went to the FN interactive exhibits at the planetarium (where i first learned just how hard it is to boil water by heating rocks ) and all in all a solid and eye opening look at the stories and history of what life was like. I worry that today it will all be "whitey stole our land and owes us money". Which seems to be what FN's consider 'education' from what i've heard. I hope i'm wrong.1 point

There's a difference between conservatives and libertarians. The most hardcore libertarians want to do crazy things like abolish driver's licenses and legalizing the sale of marijuana to children. Conservatives believe small government can work with the people, not no government. There has been little actual evidence supporting any benefits to giving kids irreversible changes to their bodies, and many come to regret it deeply later on. Adults do have the right to mutilate their bodies. The people who don't are the children. Leave them out of this. Conservatism is not hardcore libertarianism, please learn the difference.1 point

Because letting Putin take the land of a sovereign nation unchallenged is pure cowardice and sends a message that he can do whatever he wants. The purist isolationist policy of the pre-WWII US was immediately discarded after the bombing of Pearl Harbor because the event thereof instantly rendered it obsolete. Though as Iraq demonstrated, the US should have to have a good warrant to get involved in any conflict, but I believe this is one of them. Independent countries can make their own rules, I'm anything but a globalist, but something must be done about unjust invasions. No actual soldiers should be sent unless Russia directly attacks a NATO country, of course.1 point

First off - if you're going to take 2 months to think of a reply - do better than that Second - i was thinking more of clinton. Third - the documents weren't stolen. He had every right to remove them and take them 'to his office' when he did. Nobody anywhere has disputed that. His 'crime' should he be found guilty would be willfully not returning them. So - not theft. Forth - i'm not sure he did lie - i believe he decieved others who then 'lied' on his behalf. I'm not sure he ever directly swore he returned everything. There's little doubt he acted to prevent the return but that's different. So right off the bat you throw your credibility out the window by choosing to lie instead of honestly stating what he's being charged with and the truth of the allegations. This is why people think you're a shambling !diot who only parrots his echo chamber doctrine. Learn to be honest - learn to think. What actually DID trump do that was 'illegal'? If he can demonstrate that he actually willfully hid the documents then that's going to be a problem for him, but they're taking the approach that it was an error and he thought those boxes were his personal things. there's circumstantial evidence that suggest otherwise but - he might very well sell that, and that was exactly the same as biden's defense, Gosh guys i thought i returned it all but i didn't.1 point
