  1. More and more this is looking simply like Trudeau had a temper tantrum and the War Measures BS was him attacking his perceived critics and enemies.

  2. Not into bullying or extortion. All Canadians should be subject to the same federal laws, taxes, etc., or no one should be. This business of special privileges based on race or ethnicity is bad, sows dependence, division, and the idea that some races/ethnicities are more capable than others. Well our generation didn’t create the Indian Act and most Canadians want rid of it… We’ve had these conversations. Time to move on.

  3. And the people who are experiencing the most harm are children and working age adults, who faced almost 0% risk. This topic was more about the risk/benefit for children. I feel strongly that our boundary for human experimentation with an unproven inoculation, should have been the children. We have no idea what the long-term effects will be. The jabs are definitely messing with fertility. Women have been saying this from the beginning. What happens if the next generation is mostly infertile, sterile? This is a very real possibility that could affect several generations of humans because the jabs mess with your DNA. They were designed to mess with your DNA. And I have never found an answer for why mRNA technology - which messes with your DNA - was used for a respiratory illness. mRNA tech was developed for diseases which are the result of missing or damaged portions of a human's DNA. That is not the case with respiratory illnesses. So why did they need to mess with DNA? Mass experimentation with a technology that, despite being studied for decades, had not worked out the kinks yet. We should have left the children out of it.

  6. A good article on how the Liberals have eroded pride in Canada’s achievements and lost the fiscal prudence of the Chrétien era. Great quote: “ There are two kinds of identity politics, as the American political theorist Francis Fukuyama explains in his recent book, Liberalism and Its Discontents. He writes: “One version sees the drive for identity as the completion of liberal politics. … The goal of this form of identity politics is to win acceptance and equal treatment for marginalized groups as individuals, under the liberal presumption of a shared underlying humanity. … The other version of identity politics sees the lived experience of different groups as fundamentally incommensurate; it denies the possibility of universally valid modes of cognition; and it elevates the value of group experience over what diverse individuals have in common.” Mr. Trudeau has chosen the second definition, and in so doing unmoored his party from its classic position as exponent of broad-tent Canadian patriotism.” Full article: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-liberal-party-decline-justin-trudeau/

  7. They lied to us dozens of times about the vaccines and they've never told us the truth about anything covid-related, hence the mistrust. Quick recap: 1) covid didn't come from eating a bat, 2) it wasn't disinformation to say that it came from a lab, 3) there actually was 'gain-of-function' done on the virus, 3a) Fauci directly lied when he said there was not, 4) it's highly questionable that the WHO said "there's probably no airborne transmission" when 4a) it's a coronavirus and that's what coronaviruses do and 4b) there was gain-of-function research done on it so they know what it could do, 5) the vaccines aren't as safe as advertised, 6) the vaccines don't prevent one from being infected, 7) they don't prevent transmission, 8.0) they don't prevent hospitalization, 9.0) they don't prevent ICU visits, 10) they don't prevent death 11) there was never a "pandemic of the unvaccinated". At some point in time they told us all those things. Once they started lying, I stopped believing them. Big Pharma bucks are behind the covid "science" that we had spoon-fed to us, all vaxer-pushers are protected by the Prep Act (Trump did that - the vax pimps can't be sued unless you can prove willful damage), and leftist politicians and the MSM have a vested interest in covid "science" now because every single one of them went all-in with the vax. Any admission that runs contrary to "EVERYONE 5+ MUST GET VAXED OR WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!" does serious harm to their "credibility". As far as I know, Big Nuke isn't a major lobbyist, but either way, everyone is interested in safe, clean, cheap energy if it's not going to cost them an arm and a leg (or a tumour), and if it doesn't completely upend the economy. I also don't think that workers will haul nuclear waste around if they know it's not safe. Sure some might, but it just takes one whistleblower to expose something that diabolical. I'm even 100% happy with green energy, we just need to phase it in using traditional capitalist supply (even if it's heavily funded by gov't subsidies) and demand, not by forced restrictions & economic disaster.

  9. I have the same opinion as the doctors and scientists who adhere to the scientific principle that, in cases like this, it's the experimental vaccine until proven otherwise. There have been many studies done and documented data showing that since the rollout of the jabbers, myo and pericarditis is up 84% in young people, aggressive cancers are up, menstrual irregularities are up, athletes are dropping dead all over the world, Bell's Palsy, GBSyndrome, heart attacks, aneurysms, neurological disorders - all up dramatically. There is something going on that is not right - passing these things off as "anxiety" or continually saying people have always died of heart attacks or chalking it all up to coincidence......those excuses are not working for most people any more. It's the vaccine until proven otherwise. There should not be groups of hundreds of thousands of people begging for help and getting shut down and vilified. This is NOT - I repeat - NOT how an experimental drug, forced on a global scale is to be monitored. It's criminal. It's immoral. It's unethical. The governments and regulatory bodies have painted themselves into a corner. They forced compliance on a massive scale by withholding freedoms and blackmailing people with their own jobs/careers. They MUST hide the injuries and deaths or the population is going to come after THEM. The governments have no recourse because they signed off on liabilities, so it's their heads that will roll.

  10. North of the the Pr George/Edmonton/Saskatoon/Winnipeg line...there's heck of a lot of wilderness and not much else. Ontario and Quebec are pretty much all wilderness outside the Windsor/Hamilton to Quebec City area. The Maritimes are also fairly devoid of much outside Halifax/St John/St John's areas. We cram the bulk into Lotus Land (Vancouver and the Island) and Toronto/Montreal. Shoehorn them all together...

  12. It is easy to pass judgement on something when you have not worn the boots of that person or gone through their experiences. It is easy to make any organization look good when the government is writing the script. perhaps you need to visit a military base, see the condition of its infra structure, its equipment, and look or even talk to some of its soldiers over a beer. The military is a reflection of the current government, as they transform it into their vision...I watched a lot of good men suffer both mentally and physically becasue of their actions or lack of. Loyalty works both ways...

  13. I checked the map and I was somewhat surprised how southern Canada actually is. I thought a much larger proportion of Canada would be north of the 60th. Kinda ruins Canada's reputation of being a winterland. Yet something like half of Canada's territory is north of the 60th and 1/40 of the population live in that area. That must have created serious challenges for the federal government. In Finland we are told that of all the people north of the 60th something like a third are Finns as Finland is entirely within that area. Has to be admitted though that the Gulf-stream makes life easier. In Canada you don't have that advantage.

  20. Canadians may have charged into the Great War enthusiastically in 1914 but the war of course turned out to be the worst catastrophe in the history of the world to that point the civilization which had existed prior to was utterly destroyed the British Empire had broken itself on the Western Front Britain had gone insolvent after the failure of the Somme Offensive in 1916 at which point the British had to go to the Americans for a bailout the entire war then became about getting the Americans into the fight, to save the Entente it was a war of hegemonic succession, wherein Britain fell and America rose to become the Hegemon prior to the war, America was Canada's sworn enemy all military plans in Canada to that point were about preparing to defend against an American invasion yet all of sudden, Canada was hurled into a world where Washington was Canada's master, not London there was no great celebration of a victory at the time since in fact Canada & Britain had not really won the war, it was at best a Pyrrhic victory

  21. First, Biden should be in prison for this little item. Secondly, the last time the world was brought so close to a massive nuclear exchange was due to the incompetence and inaction of Jimmy Carter. His failure in the Iran hostage incident emboldened the Soviet Union to march into Afghanistan and DARE us to do anything about it. And Carter was RONALD REAGAN compared to the senile, unelected idiot we have in the White House today. You'd think America would learn from history. We are now closer than ever to that dreaded event, simply because this unelected idiot could stumble on to the nuclear codes and order the launch independently.

  23. I don't think this has ever been about frigates, but more of a way to funnel bils into Canadian companies and make work projects. The whole thing sucks of a cheap conspiracy movie. - the standard for pricing contracts if we are going by the f-35 project is or was 25 to 30 years, and that was done for sticker shock so Canadians would revolt against the idea. Now someone has agreed to price it out to 65 years, even Canada does not keep equipment for 65 years at least not on active duty, maybe in a museum. It is like we are looking for an excuse to quit the whole project. - why is it we are still bent on having these built in a Canadian shipyard, when Britain could build them for way cheaper, same as Australia, south Korea, Japan anyone. 5 and a half bil per ship , and no one is saying pull up your pants we are leaving, were done getting screwed. - for those prices we could have had the US build us the Arleigh burke destroyers for half the price and twice the capabilities. or purchases nuclear subs for that matter. Why are we continually pushing construction down the road? at tremendous cost to the project close to 9 % per year...at 80 plus for 15 ships, next year 90 bil plus... screw the Irving's, and any other ship builder in Canada, let's go to the cheapest bidder, and get more ships. No, we had to build those AOP's first, and the navy does not even like or want them, they bring very little to the table.

  25. So basically what you are saying is incompetence from the police is now grounds for invoking the EA? If they didn't want trucks down there they should've done a better job not get violent against a group of protesters. And yes the narrative was debunked. The EA was used without even 1 charge of unlawful gathering/protest. Parking violations aren't ground for invoking the EA as has been said repeatedly. Trudeau stacked the witnesses and the judge yet still comes out looking like the tyrant he is.

  27. I think every returning soldier had a different experience, and i can't talk about what or how those soldiers experienced their return. Every one of my returns from Afghanistan was different, my first tour, people were lined up on the streets we left at 2 am arrived in Trenton around 6 am and every town every city had people lined up, with signs of encouragement... When we returned 7 months latter Canada had changed, no longer were the people lining the streets, we came home to only family and a few friends to welcome us home, what some came home to where broken homes, empty homes family had moved and taken everything, including the bank accounts, (maybe 1 in every 10 marriages )all of us were still adjusting just days before i was neck deep in combat, living out of the back of a LAV covered in sand flees, my last shower was 2 and a half weeks before heading back to Kanadar. now I'm holding my girls in my arms, not even knowing who they were really, next day i take them down to the mall to buy them whatever they wanted, a car cuts me off along the way, and for minutes I'm flash back to Afghanistan, pulling this guy out of his car through his window, I'm panicking becasue i can't find my pistol on my leg, my wife is yelling my name , bringing me back from the flash back, i apologize to the young kid, i slowly walk back to my truck people are just staring at me... both my girls are crying, my wife is stilling yelling... and i think welcome back to Canada MF. After that they made us stay for 3 to 4 days in a holiday resort to cool off, decompress, they called it. with no Achol the entire time, they let us loss at the bars for 3 days . 6 beers in I'm shit faced, fighting some Russian mob guy and getting the crap beat out of me. something else to explain to my wife where all the bruises came from. My third tour, my wife told me at the start "no more or we won't be here when you get back. 5 years later she gives me the same talk only this time it is about my mental health problems... get help or we are leaving...It was the hardest thing I've ever done, get help...become one of the weak, I'm still happily married to the same women, my mental health is under control, but not everyone i knew could say the same thing, I've been to well over 30 funerals of close friends over the last 10 years they just could no longer cope... which is why vets need each other to have someone to talk to, it saves lives... They did not receive the help they needed becasue our government played politics with their lives and benefits. And yes, i do hold Canada responsible for all those lives, for not doing anything about it. and yes i am one of those jaded vets. I would do anything for any of my regimental comrades, at a drop of a hat. and i would do it all again just not for country, but for them. I'm not the only vet that feels that way, there is plenty more. recruiting problems are stemming from the question, why would i risk everything including my life for a nation who will not return the same commitment, who will drop you off on some corner after they are done with you, kick you in the ass, and mumble later... expect you to survive in equipment 30 years old or more, or not enough of it to equip each man...kind of like the same problems the Russians have now except not as extreme. want recruits show some commitment.

  28. It was not always like this the poppy fund was very restrictive on what it could be used for, directly helping vets was not one of them, 10 years ago things started to change for the better, where today it does help all veterans if they seek assistance, many do not know of the service. But then again "Veterans" use to mean soldiers from WWI, WWI, Korea, in fact some of the benefits these vets have been taken away from today's vets, like long term care, after the last Korean vet passes all existing long-term homes will be turned over to their provincial governments and opened to all Canadians. there are other benefits as well you can goggle that shit. Want to make a huge difference find one of these long-term homes and go down there and have a talk to each vet, here in Fredericton NB there is just a complex just of the Cities Hospital. They would love the company and you may even get a war story or two. Each vets' room has their service record and medals posted outside of each room. I've done this trip myself several times, it is heart breaking to see just how we warehouse these great warriors waiting for them to die... put a smile on their faces, all it takes is to listen. And it does not have to be on Nov 11, do it today. Todays vets can't do this, have a place where all around them are people who understand what they went through what they are going through every night, and the greatest asset would be just have someone to talk to that can relate. My wife is my best friend but i cannot talk to her about what i saw or did in combat. talking about those experiences are methods of healing the brain that has been taken away from todays vets. Want to help vets learn about what we do for Canadians 365 days of the year around the clock. There is a military person stand guard for each Canadian. Poppy Trust Funds (legion.ca)

  31. Yes we were British in WWI. A British declaration of war automatically meant Canada was at war. Canada didn't like this, so after WWI many policies were made independent of Britain. https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/statute-of-westminster The Statute of Westminster, 1931 was signed, which meant, among other things, Canada would now declare war on its own and was constitutionally equal with Britain. Canada declared war on Nazi Germany independently and after Britain did, but nonetheless helped out their allies against a force that also threatened them. German U-boats sunk many Canadian naval vessels in the Atlantic and even close to Canada's eastern coastline. Canadian soldiers defended Canada's national security in WWII, they defended Canada before and since. Obviously the US also provides protection but don't dare lessen and dishonour Canadian sacrifices and patriotism. Their patriotism literally helped build the country you want to tear apart. You're just a holdover British nationalist/loyalist that has their knickers in a knot and wants anglo-Canada to seperate so you can turn them into something like Australia was back in the day. If you're loyal to Britain then move to Britain. To drag this crap into a Remembrance Day thread is revolting. You must work for the Chinese or Russian government or something. ?

If you're going to preach history you better know wtf you're talking about: "When the war ended on November 11, 1918, a half holiday was declared. Every town held giant ‘Welcome Home’ celebrations for each batch of returning soldiers. ‘Welcome Home’ funds were collected for returning soldiers; local branches of the Great War Veteran’s Association were organized. In spite of the general celebrations, memories endured of those who had lost their lives." https://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/hrb/internal_reports/pdfs/war_memorials_ww1_stories.pdf

The question that always makes them scurry away is: Why, after 86% of Canadians complied and 4-5 jabs in a year, are so many people still getting covid? You can see how well the brainwashing, fear mongering and propaganda worked every time these ones say, "I just survived covid for the third time! I would have DIED without the 4 jabs I had! Erm, you're a healthy 24 year old, your risk of death was about 1/10th of a percent, you would've survived without the 4 jabs. Their wack-a-doodle reasonings are: "Yes, it's not working, you just need MORE of it! The boosters will work for sure becuz mouse marketing! Myocarditis and seizures mean the shots are working!" All turkeys think the farmer is their best friend in September.

It's just political bullshit that does nothing positive.

Russia doesn't have to play nice with Ukraine dude. They just don''t, and I don't know what makes you think they should. The US bombs countries all the time for much less of a reason than "Bringing a hostile military alliance to our border." In fact, aside from when Trump was POTUS, it's been a long time since a POTUS didn't start a war. 42. What I have taken away from the testimony so far is that they completely underestimated the severity and amount of the protesters and crowd. All preliminary reports anticipated a normal protest and for it to last only the weekend. The commission is still questioning about the first weekend and has yet to get to the weeks later on. I am watching (global.ca is streaming it) and find it interesting how unprepared or, underestimated they (the Ottawa police) were.

  44. I admit, I have not watched every minute of testimony but did see enough and followed on the recaps. to know what was said. So no, they did not say it wasn't necessary. Some said they were not sure it was needed. What is clear is that all 3 police agencies did not communicate and even the RCMP commissioner said so in emails to Ministers the day before they enacted EMA. The RCMP knew they were in trouble trying to enforce the area. The OPP said they had 24 tow companies that could tow vehicles but they also said those operators were scared of any aggressiveness that may occur and would rather not begin towing. With EMA, they had the protection. That was all in testimony this past week. All people charged (over 500) were charged under existing laws and bylaws. No narratives debunked as no one said anyone was charged with unlawful protest, not one official person.
