  1. 1) That's a hilarious amount spelling and grammatical errors for two short sentences 2) No one ever said that only truckers could join the Freedom Convoy, that's a farcical notion 3) Just because the crowd was full of decent, happy people with no destructive impulses doesn't mean that they weren't against the fascist overreach of our gov't. FYI this wasn't a crowd of drooling leftards who were whipped into a frenzy by CTV/CNN's blatant disinformation, they were intelligent, independent thinkers who came to the exact same conclusions as our nation's elder statesmen in the Senate. The fact that they were in a celebratory mood when they gathered together is just more proof of their character. When good people gather together they don't generally engage in wanton destruction or assault/kill people.

  4. The Freedom Convoy was about the unconstitutionality and government overreach of vaccine mandates. It was and is a critical international movement against the very real push for greater government control over the behaviour of whole populations. Crisis provided the excuse, but the overreach was inexcusable and we must watch out for new justifications given for overreach. I don’t trust Trudeau. He’s too naive and in the pocket of unaccountable international and national ideologues who are bent on social engineering us to make the world a better place in their eyes on our backs. The stakeholder capitalists are totalitarian and must be ousted.

  5. How can a trucker do international and interprovincial work when the government forbids it based on vaccine status? You’re missing the whole point. Out of your depth.

  6. Unfortunately the Freedom Convoy didn't end the logic-free mandates, but they did highlight the PM's cowardly, slimy and fascist nature, and they provided a rare opportunity for our Senate to shine and to excoriate our authoritarian government.

  8. Way back in 2018 - Trump had already raised the red flag on what Germany (and other EU countries) would be facing with Russia. Nobody listened. Now - look how we're also dragged into the stupidity of Germany - with this turbines fiasco! NOBODY IN GERMANY IS LAUGHING NOW. We end up looking weak before the world! We crowed about sanctions on Russia - every freakin week since this war started - yet now we can't even get our bloody sanctions straight! On one hand we're giving out BILLIONS to Ukraine to fight off Russia, and yet on the other hand - we are also giving in to Russia - because of Germany......... ....................................at a time when Canadians are hurting! Boy, we can't even fix our own crumbling healthcare system! What kind of war are we into? Can someone please explain this to me because I can't see why on earth are we into this........................ if, we are not really into it! As Europe grapples with skyrocketing energy costs as a result of appeasing radical climate activists and outsourcing energy production to hostile regimes, steps on how countries like Germany got here are being retraced. During a speech to the United Nations in 2018, President Donald Trump warned Germany against becoming dependent on Russian oil and gas. They laughed it off. "Reliance on a single foreign supplier can leave a nation vulnerable to extortion and intimidation. That is why we congratulate European states, such as Poland, for leading the construction of a Baltic pipeline so that nations are not dependent on Russia to meet their energy needs. Germany will become totally dependent on Russian energy if it does not immediately change course," Trump said. "Here in the Western Hemisphere, we are committed to maintaining our independence from the encroachment of expansionist foreign powers." https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2022/03/08/flashback-trump-warned-germany-against-becoming-energy-dependent-on-russia-n2604265 What is so freakin' hard to understand about that sensible, factual statement (in red)? Germany is in that state because of the stupidity of its leaders - plain and simple. The US is in crisis right now because of poor leadership. And here we are - going lockstep with them!

Maybe the point is , if they are not going to take action to this declared emergency , why should we be stuck on this endless merry go round. lets make something else our national go to... like health care...and stop wasting our time and dollars. and when a leader comes along that is willing to take action... we pick it up again. It just seems that nothing is going to get done until it all collapses and we are sitting around watching the world burn up drinking a few beers and saying we should have done something...but hey got my check thank you very much...pass me another beer will you. 17. I have already stated that past conservatives climate change plans suck ass as well. My point is Canadians are easily fooled by grand political plans that do nothing to change global climate change. Justin has 8 plus years to make his mark and has failed it is time for Canada to move on try something else... if they are serious about climate change... or climate change is just a thing the left says kind of like support the troops logo... got to support or get canceled . There are processes to replace PM's or elected members. and there is also an federal election every 4 years. Poor performance is hard to prove, WTF... Justin has had 3 climate change plans since elected, none of them have made a difference, in my opinion thats poor performance, not to mention all the policies he has in place for natural resources are also failures, or national infra structure, huge failure. i could keep going but over all, Justin has provided more failures than any thing else, a huge sign of poor performance. When was the last PM that had signs that said F*** the PM... And a good portion of the population can not see these failures, or refuse to acknowledge them, because they don't care how their party performs they will always vote liberal regardless of out come. same as hard core conservatives , or are they really don't give a shit what the government does or does not do... I guess Canadians are not that smart after all right, if they can be bought out be a small cheque ... that or thier values are not very good. Liberals are masters at buying votes with social programs... And Europe while having much cleaner energy today, are going to be freezing their asses off this winter... and are right now trying to solve that issue by bringing back some of the old fossil fuels such as oil, coal, LP. They did all that before we have found a reliable solution to replace fossil fuels. they just jumped over board and hoped for the best, and now they are going to pay for that decision. With this major sacrifice do you think Europe's climate change problems have gotten better.

Guessing a large % of members here know that You and your group is so living in the past, so easily sucked into conspiracy, so uninformed, so easily brow beaten and in the end, when you are confronted with reality, all you got is to whine about spelling and grammar? You do not know or cannot accept that some folks really do not believe anything you say or have to say or worse, really care about what you say and think. Yet, you cannot let go and keep coming back over and over again to try to convince others of your wayward and offbeat ways. How sad a group are you?? LOL

  21. I'll give my report from the front lines after two years of lockdown, my small business was reduced to a side gig and furthermore, I was sick of sitting round the house, I was getting out of shape so I went back to work, to offset inflation, to keep our purchasing power topped up and just to get out of the house arrest paradigm it's a very strange job market, like none I've ever encountered before the Zoomers & late Millennials don't seem to want to come back to work, at all so there is a labour shortage if you are an old man like me, qualified to drive truck, forklift, logistics materials handler, etc you have your choice of jobs right now it's like you quit a job on a Friday, and by Monday afternoon you have three more on offer, by virtual interview there are the very corporate employers who are still COVID crazy but I've been able to avoid them quite easily as there are so many jobs on offer many are forgoing all COVID restrictions to try to entice older workers like me to come back to work furthermore, the real effective minimum wage is more like $20/hr now so for jobs you used to take for $20/hr, you can demand $30-$35/hr now, easily, they will pay

  22. I feel like *this* is some people here. Blank, vacant eyes that see nothing. Insistence that everything is great and that the people who are suffering somehow deserve it, while the world burns around them. Everything will work out because our leaders only have our best interests at heart. Lockdowns were great. Masks are wonderful. People lost their jobs, careers and livelihoods - all good. Vaccine injuries are "rare" because CTV told me so and anyone who claims an injury is lying. Nothing to see here. We went from wash your hands to freezing citizen's bank accounts in less than 2 years and all they can say is "This is fine."

I wasn't telling you where I lived. I responded to someone asking if I was there. What a fool LOL. You say "Don’t worry, you can’t stop what’s coming. 25. You don’t seem to understand that debt levels are much higher than back then, both public and private individual debt levels. Small rises in interest rates will put millions under water. I don’t think the central banks can raise rates more than another 100 basis points without major upheavals. Yes we’ve had upheavals before, but the debts are higher than ever. Ultimately the central banks are aiming to burst price bubbles. If that doesn’t work and rates continue to rise and destroy people’s finances, well, that’s a very hard road for a lot of people.

  26. Truckers get the nod for being the ones who got off of their asses and organized a large-scale protest, but it was actually called the Freedom Convoy.
    1 point
  27. Again, your assumptions concerning 'real truckers' make you look foolish. Many truck/transportation folks are in management/maintenance positions. many don't hold Class1's . . . but are in the trucking industry. All over your head . . It's over and done . . . . it brought the worst behavior of a sitting PM for all the country to see. Justin Trudeau's cowardice in dealing with concerned tax-paying citizens, his enactment of the new-improved 'War Measures Act' . . . all on view. You must have been ecstatic.

  28. You missed my point. Read it again. I wasn’t claiming they were all truckers, what is your reading comprehension?? I am stating that they were not partiers and “hangers on”. Also on the money. Wake up. There was over 10,000,000 seized. That’s what I’m talking about wrt money being seized. It was stopped from going to its intended recipient. Why does everything need to be spelled out to the lefties?? I don’t care where you live, that’s irrelevant. It’s not all about you, it’s about Canada. Don’t worry, you can’t stop what’s coming. Trudeau is going to get fired as he so richly deserves.

  29. there are ways of course to profit during a financial crisis induced secular bear market one simply has to shift one's investments from things people want to buy, such as tech to things people have to buy, such as commodities property will also remain at a relative premium, because tenants need to rent someplace to live and your purchasing power & financial autonomy can be retained by converting fiat currency into physical gold it is however a question of timing as the corrupt governments & central banks will not be tightening the money supply willingly the Quantitative Easing will go on for some time yet until the inflation itself breaks the economy then the interest rates will be driven up precipitously by the bond markets suddenly unleashed the shearing forces of this rapid transition is what will wipe most people out

  30. I’m sorry buts that’s complete nonsense. Most of the people that went to Ottawa had lost their jobs due to the COVID vaccine restrictions placed on certain Canadian workers by an act of government. Get the jab or you can’t work. They weren’t there to party, etc, they had no money to even eat. Then there was the 100,000’s of Canadians that sent money to the trucker convoy and saw their hard earned money seized. Then some of them had their bank accounts seized. Without any court or judge ruling that their money or accounts should be seized. Its far more serious than you suppose.

  31. Gosh, almost the same was said in the late 70's early 80's when interest rates were as high at 18%. We had the oil embargo's where oil prices soared and line ups at gas stations was hours long, if the station even had oil. Average hourly wage was about $3 per hour and average yearly wage was about $21K per year. Inflation was higher than 10% The world did not come to an end , we survived, life went on. Yes it was hard but we survived. We had to adjust our lifestyles to make it. I have not a great deal of sympathy because I lived through interest rate highs and cost of living highs much worse than this.

If you were at least half as smart as you seem to think you are you could simply have gone to the 2000 mules thread in this US Federal Politics forum where we are right now (which you should know exists because you posted on that thread.) There you would have found a link to a piece in American Thinker where you could have seen this: So you see the link you continue to whine about not being provided was given to you when you began this silly diversion from the unjustified raid on President Trump's home.

  36. There's no more control over us now than there was before Covid. If tight control is what was wanted, why aren't we still living with lockdowns etc. And again, if the goal is to snuff out billions of us, why not make a virus, or a vaccine, powerful enough to actually get the job done? Why are these power-hungry people willing to wait years for their plan to come together when it could happen within months?
    1 point
  37. Pretty sure fear and crisis persuaded people into bomb shelters when an air raid sirens went off in the second world war. But if you don't believe Covid was a crisis, then you'll only ever see the measures taken as some kind of manipulation. From the other side, I feel as free as I ever did. The mask mandates/lockdowns/social distancing measures have been lifted - as I always expected, even when some on here were predicting a plot to move this country into totalitarianism with permanent lockdowns and "passports". That didn't happen, and now the same people have upped the ante to some plan to kill billions. Which kind of begs the question - why not let Covid kill a bunch of people, then intro the vaccine to finish the job. If the vaccine is to kill people, why wait? Surely it would be more effective to kill billions quickly - think of the fear that would generate, and the leverage for control of any survivors. If there is some plot afoot to kill billions and take over, it's pretty poorly done.
