Again, none of that is why the Convoy happened. There was a reason truckers were behind it.

It wasn't until October 2022 that Canada stopped need Proof of Vaccine for people entering the country.

Why should truckers have been exempt?

That's not actually worse than what you said before, but it does help to illuminate how much of a cultist twit you are.

Because seatbelts are safe and effective, dummy. Seatbelts don't kill people.

After decades upon decades of studying the effects of seatbelts in lab tests and in the real world, the same results have been proven over and over: seatbelts save lives and keep medical costs way down.

There was always a chance that the pseudovaxes would kill or seriously harm people, but our gov't acted like we already knew the chance was absolutely zero, despite the fact that all previous real-world experience with mRNA jabs indicated that it would quite likely be harmful. Now we know that the jab actually can cause serious illness and even death, even in people who had nothing to fear from covid.

Get your head out of your ass, Boges. The "multi-vaxed and killed by covid in 2022" cohort was the largest single cohort from any year in Canada. Our gov't literally stopped posting the "covid deaths by vax status" stats when the proportion of multi-vaxed deaths were approaching 90%, and we were having our worst year of the whole pandemic - even worse than 2020 when covid was a novel virus and almost no one had acquired any natural immunity to it yet.

How is it possible that the "my body, my choice" zealots - who believe that babies can be aborted at 9 months and 8-yr-olds have the wisdom to unilaterally choose irreversible trans procedures - are the only proponents of forcing people to take an injection that they absolutely don't need?

Your hypocrisy and deceit are worthy of Nazi spies/Hamas terrorists decrying the incarceration of blacks in America.

So you ran out of wiggle room, eh?

TBH Boges, the damage from the vax campaign goes way beyond the harm to people who didn't need it.

The trust that was lost in our medical community and our government is arguably worse.

What happens if there's an actual pandemic where young people are at risk, and big pharma actually gets it right this time? It will be harder to force people to take the jab next time. What if there's labour unrest next time instead of mass-compliance? How can the gov't force people to take jabs next time if large-scale, crippling job action is looming?

What about all the people who were harmed by the jab and then ostracized by society for daring to mention it, who then opt to not get actual vaccines for their children?

What seems like a lark to you, because you were unaffected, is a real-world disaster for our community as a whole. Trust is legitimately gone forever. There's no coming back from "We lied to you all, thereby causing serious injuries and deaths, and we're still denying as much as we can."

No one was forced to get a the vaccine.

What a patently ridiculous statement.

For my family it ended 4 generations of military service when my oldest (with a Masters Degree in biology BTW) balked at the jab and opted for voluntary release. The numbers you find online (military attrition) are deliberately designed to deceive.

They were disciplinary releases after counselling and probation. Most people opted for voluntary release to avoid the stigma of forced disciplinary release. And BTW, the recorded warning/ C&P process which took place was the fastest I've ever (and I mean EVER) seen in 32 years of service.

Personally, I was retired at the time but after 10 foreign deployments I"m pretty sure I've had every vaccine known to man... and then some. I'm willing to bet the number is way more than you've had... and with that said, I never would have submitted to this one.

The question that went unanswered (and it's grade 10 biology), was how can systemic distribution of the S protein be avoided in the presence of lipid nanoparticles? The short answer is it can't... the whole "contained in the deltoid" rhetoric was manifestly foolish from the get go and has since been proven to be totally, manifestly and (I say) deliberately false.

Not only did your neighbours lose their jobs over this, you cheered when it happened.

In my Provence we still have experience nurses waiting tables during a massive nursing shortage because they're blocked from returning.

Like gun violence in Toronto being  the reason for harassing duck hunters in PEI, you are so far out of orbit that hitting the sun won't even cause you discomfort.

I stand in awe...

The issue at hand with the trucker convoy is that people crossing the border need the vaccine. The US had this policy too. In fact all developed nations except, I guess Sweden, had vax policies for international travelers. So I'm not sure what your issue with Canada specifically here is?

Now Canada, and Ontario in particular, had pretty drastic restrictions for unvaxed people. But that's not what this was about. And those issues weren't the responsibility of the federal government.

Also, anyone who was paying attention would have figured out that by January 2022, the pandemic was winding down, precisely because there were high vax numbers.

Ever heard of vaccine passports?  Yeah you didn’t need to get a vaccine, unless you wanted to keep your job or go anywhere and do anything.

A Master's Degree in "biology" makes him about as qualified to evaluate the subject as your average high school biology teacher, which is not at all.  🙄

During Covid construction went on. No lockdown for us. I worked with an anti vaxxer. Got all his info off social media and figured it was some kind o conspiracy. One day he somehow stepped on a nail which punctured his workboot and jabbed his sole. Went straight to Emerg and got a Tetanus shot, no questions asked. Wouldn't get a Covid vaccine for something that had killed 30,000 Canadians in a year, but no problem getting the Tetanus vaccine for something that kills less than 1 Canadian a year. Go figure!

It was actually the breathtaking lack of logical discussion that convinced me not to get vaxxed.

I was pre sold on vaccine long before anyone even started talking about vaccine. The hysterical attitudes of reactionaries towards social distancing measures by various local government boards implemented in my region - such as holding public area planning commission meetings on Zoom instead of in person - were hilarious at first then dangerous as millions succumbed to them

The comments on community boards about government and media using the pandemic to control everyone were my first clue that conservatives would be the very last people anyone should listen to.

Oooops, I considered the post to be off topic (and something of a dead issue) so I deleted it before seeing your reply... sorry.

Those boards caused me look deeper at the biology in an effort to form my own opinion.... as I did more research the rhetoric and hype made less sense.

I've had a lot of vaccines over the years, this was the first one I balked at.

Technically it's just an unsafe, nearly worthless injection that our gov't pays Pfizer/Moderna $150/shot for. It's not really a 'vaccine'.

If the smallpox and polio vaccines were as useless as the covid jabs were, we'd be be using the word vaccine synonymously with 'snake oil'.

Is ^that^ a record for y's in one word? I can think of a lot of words with two y's, but not 3.

The fools are going to die from measles because of their vaccine conspiracy madness.

It's not fully their fault, they aren't well-educated.  The government and pharma industry also isn't exactly known for their honesty, so hard to blame the 2nd-guessing for people who aren't educated enough to understand science and statistics.

Should Lich have even been arrested for organizing a protest? Certainly not. This is gross overreach by a bunch of whiney, authoritarian little sh1ts. Nothing more.

Was the vax successful? Not really. I've seen a lot of claims it saved lives. But no real evidence of anything. On the other hand, there is a mountain of evidence that shows the vax was dangerous.

Meh...this is all quite well documented and settled for most rational people by now. But a true Libbie cannot admit to being wrong so...they scream and throw themselves on the floor kicking like the immature, spoiled brats they are at heart.

Only because you did everything you could do avoid reading or acknowledging the large scale and diverse academic and official studies, from all over the world, consistently showing higher vaccination correlated with lower rates of severe COVID outcomes/deaths.  Instead, you cherry-picked the odd dissenter and/or quack and pretended they were the pre-eminent experts.

Right, which is why higher education is correlated with higher vaccination rates, and why the most educated among us on the topic (the doctors) were widely and wildly in favor of the vaccine.  🙃
