Simple question, simple answer:

Well if you look at Lenin, Castro et all that was the plan of these communist movements but it didn’t really work out so well. ?

But it’s not so simple a question depends what you mean by “rule”.   If you mean that there would be a ban on people with post secondary education or net worth over a certain amount from positions of authority then no.

If you mean that governments and political parties should stop acting like “business leaders” are infallible geniuses who know all and who have the only opinions that matter, then yes.

Question is not should they but why aren't they. Working class is the majority. But wait- thought this was democracy, so why is the working class being bled dry while being led around by the nose.

Just because they would "rule society" doesn't mean it would be communism. Working class people earn their way through life. If the poor non-working class ruled, they would want the government cheese.

The working class is majority yet they don't "rule society". Corporations and big government have the clout.

And now they have all the digital control.

the reason that working class joe from Hot Springs, AR or Elko, NV does not run for President and win.. money. it takes money to run a campaign. Also, while you are campaigning you are not earning wages so you have foregone wages. Lastly, working class Joe does not have the years of practice being disingenuous and clever with their wording. Being too direct and/or objective does not help you in politics.

Though the well.skilled working people vote and support their candidates , that is not the same as being as qualified to hold office as individually chosen political leader s since working people are rather single minded, not globally minded and you must be the latter to understand the responsibilities of Public Office.

The working class votes for corporate control.

Deny they've been brainwashed their whole lives. Asides from 1/2 the USA cowering under their beds since 1950 over the Red Scare, look at the Cdn fools on this site insisting the Conservatives will better serve their interests. The f*cking Liberal party at least pays lip service!

This level of corruption goes beyond partisanship. That is just another tool to keep you peoples heads spinning round and round!

The f*cking Liberal party...

In other words, not even politics. I'm talking about the people who actually run things, little Herbie. They got both sides in the pocket.

But am glad, it helps you sleep at night to know you've voted.

Out of curiosity, what would a candidate have to do to make you think that they are different from the pack, and possibly somebody could really make changes?

Uh… don’t accept Super PAC money.
Promise to vote to ensure that Medicare can negotiate drug prices RIGHT F-ING NOW.
Commit to clean energy for America

Hard to say definitively. But one attribute will be clear: They will have the whole establishment against them.

The working class get to choose which rich elite paid off by corporations and mega-rich people get to rule them.

We're ruled by unethical white collars and their white collar donors because blue collars and ethical white collars don't have enough money to campaign and advertise and run a party.

Don't ever rock the boat.

Our enemy is corruption.  Do not defend your preferred party that is corrupt because its better than the other corrupt party.  Unite to defeat our real political enemy:  corruption.

The working class do run the country. They can participate in the political parties (or create new ones) to a VERY high degree. They vote for the leaders, the policy, and at the elections.  They control the moneybags federally - the donations caps and refunds mean the working class is who provides the political parties with their cash.

The problem is 90 percent of the working class want nothing to do with running the country.
