New oval shaped coins to accommodate Chuck's big ears?

I agree the thread title is inappropriate for such a solemn event. She was a damn good Queen as far as matters of Monarchy and the state go, her personal family issues were MYOB

I could care less about her family's issues but as monarch of a commonwealth of nations I think one of her duties to her subjects should have been to provide at least a moral check and at times a legal one against the abuses of commonwealth governments.

She was a prostitute. And Epstein paid her. She was one of the bimbos who ran around with him and who he loaned out to friends (and were quite content to be loaned out to friends). Her story has changed a dozen times since the lawyers first told her how much money she could make by cashing in on Epstein.

You're acting awfully prudish for a guy who would sell his soul for a chance to have Donald Trump piss on him. Do you think he was disgusting for having sex with prostitutes, porn stars and strippers? Do you wonder why he's not in jail for paying them?

So he was a John which is illegal.. and she was a minor.. but yeah let's blame her eh..

The only reason he's not sitting behind bars is because he's the queens son.. which is sick.

Charles has had a number of loopy moments and has a number of strange beliefs. I can't help wondering if he'll get into trouble as monarch.

He is a professional. Since his birth, he has had a firm sense of duty instilled in him. People who actually know him find him very likeable andintelligent. He will be a great King.

His whole life has been under the control of others. He was deprived of privacy since he was a toddler. His every action was scrutinized by the press. His life was controlled by others. He was viewed as a pawn by every major family who wanted a daughter married to the Prince of Wales and the late Princess of Wales paid the price.

Regardless of anyones views, King Charles will be our king for life. Australia, or Britain could abolish the monarchy but the Canadian Constitution has locked the Crown in place so deeply, we will likely be a Constitutional Monarchy until the end of time.

Imagine how daft that would be. Most Canadians under 40 know very little about Britain or its monarchy and why should they? Given we’re facing the prospect of Charles as king, why not consider other equally zany alternatives:

1. Occultation. Refuse to admit the death of QEII. Just carry on as we were. What would be the difference?

2. Appoint our very own Made in Canada king. I’d say there are lots of outdoorsy European princes who’d love the job, or we could pick a native chief. Either way we’d eliminate sudden constitutional surprises from out foreign, e.g. on succession.

Why not have a Canadian citizen as King. Charles is Canadian, as was the late Queen.

That may be legally true but it is not really true. Over the next few weeks we are going to be subjected to a tsunami of allegations regarding how deeply and often the Queen and her successor have thought about Canada.

Epstein paid her in money, but mostly in letting her live on his island and experience the life of the rich and famous. Tons of young women would have been happy to do the same. And did. Virtually every rock star from the 1960s on had a cadre of such women following them around.

You seem to be as incapable of understanding the difference between Epstein and Andrew as you are in understanding what a pedophile is. Nothing Andrew did was illegal, despite what vacuous and hypocritical moral prudes like you might want to make of it. And given your reverence for Trump and completely waving away all his pervasions, his barging into the dressing rooms of teenage beauty contestants, his adultery, his paying of prostitutes, strippers and porn stars, his bragging about his sexual exploits on air and his lewd statements about his own daughter anything that comes out of that sewer of a mind of yours about Andrew is so much drool.

She was a great head of state who understood her role, and worked within it, so well.

It struck me earlier as I bounced around different channels that in a lot of ways she was the queen of the west, a representative of western culture, traditions and values. You'd expect the BBC to be all over this story, and Canadian news channels. But it was basically full time on Euronews, the DW (Germany), France's overseas news net, and even Al Jazeera. Almost everyone in the West has known her as a steady, unwavering political background for most of our lives.

So if she slept with Andrew because he was a Royal, she was just a f***ing groupie.
If she felt she couldn't say no because he was a Royal he was a rapist.
If Epstein paid her to, he was a pimp.
If she actually got paid to do him, she was a hooker

If you think 17.5 is jailbait and 18.0 is just fine, you're an intransigent blockhead. Go supply your local High School with chastity belts to give out with the free condoms.

The thread's about the Queen's passing not anyone else.

You're a classy guy, aren't you.

If you define "classy" as not mourning the passing of one of the most privileged people on the planet,  who attained that privilege based solely on her family tree, then I guess I'm not.

How many people in the British empire you think will go hungry during the time Millions of dollars will be spent on lavish funerals and memorials?

This concerns me much more than the death of some rich inbread

So again why should I care about the queen?

That I agree with, no Charles on the money. Put the beaver from the old penny back on coins and the $20

And when there's enough opposition to the Monarchy avoid the use of Republic completely, elect the GG with zero additional powers. Sign off on shit, go to international parties and wave from the convertible, that's it.

I think we should put the Liberals new soldiers on the bill with bright pink hair done up in a manbun while wearing countless piercings and lets not forget the skirt...

There's no Choice. It's the Line of Succession.

William can become King, but only if Charles resigns or abdicates like his Grand Uncle.

A new PM wouldn't do well to mothball the Monarchy. I'm sure that has to go into a referendum or something.

It would take a change in the constitution. Hey, you could wind up with someone like Trump as head of state, or Trudeau, or Poilievre, or Lewis.

Maybe a little sober second thought is in order.

Yes classy. Everyone is born something, it's what they do with it that matters.
