The NDP/Liberal Dictatorship

God said "thou shalt not steal" and ordained the right to own private property.  Therefore government stealing people's property to give to others is not "charity" or "helping the less fortunate".  It is Communist, Socialist, or Marxist ideology.  The Bible teaches personal charity done voluntarily.  That is not the same as Socialism where government steals property or money from people to give to others, which you seem to approve of.

By some estimates 133 billion illegally obtained dollars are being funneled and laundered into Canada.  How would you feel about taxing that?  15%, the minimum rate a number of countries agreed to tax the biggest corporations at would net almost 20 billion for Canada.

Or would that make us complicit in the crimes all that cheddar came from?  We could always confiscate it and give it back.

So speaking of morality what do you make of the article on corruption that I posted?

Meh or bwahaha?

I think our political class has gotten way to comfortable in their positions.  I also think globalization provides a good cover for the sort of dirty money discussed in that article.

And what do you propose we do about it, blame it all on the lefties?

I would agree it's not a dictatorship. It's technically one vastly underqualified Prime Minister signing a pact with a vastly underperforming leader of a fourth place party.

This from True North

Last fall, the Conservative Opposition and then-leader Erin O’Toole claimed there was a brewing Liberal-NDP government agreement that would secure Trudeau’s hold on power for a full term despite his minority government status.

The Conservatives were ridiculed and mocked by the media.

Toronto Star columnist Althia Raj called the Liberal-NDP alliance “imaginary” and a ploy by O’Toole to cover up his own problems.

Commentator Randy Boswell wrote in Global News that O’Toole was “scaremongering about the unholy alliance” of a radical Liberal-NDP deal.

CBC’s Aaron Wherry stated that a Liberal-NDP deal was just “rumours” and that “no negotiations” were happening to reach a confidence and supply agreement.

Lo and behold – earlier this week, the Conservatives were vindicated after it was reported that an official pact had been reached between Justin Trudeau and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh to prop up the Liberals for the next three years.

true north copying anything from them is laughable   . Liberals and ndp have alot in common lol its far from a radical deal.

No I think we should find someone who has the balls to speak plainly, clearly and tell the truth about things. Someone who actually wants to make life for Canadian better. Someone who can't be bought.

Then...we should elect that person PM and let him have at 'er.

Oh who gives a shit what the Bible says about it? It certainly doesn't say shit about 'socialism' anywhere in it. You gonna tell us Tommy Douglas wasn't a "Christian" next?

And of course anyone with zero political knowledge that can't distinguish Liberals from NDPs from communists would be stupid enough to describe a coalition as a dictatorship.

My 21 yr old grandson was right: he could sell hats with "Proud to Be Ignurnt" online and make a fortune these days. Most of the buyers would swell their chest wearing one!

I think you totally missed the point of the True North article in that the MSM in Canada were denying any sort of backroom deal was ever in the works while the Conservatives were right about it all along.

Umm.. you do know that governments get their money from the working people right? Liberals, NDP and to a slightly lesser extent Conservatives are all very generous with our money. At the end of the day us working stiffs will have to foot the bill.

Well, in the wake of so much acrimonious discourse over lying cheating politicians these last few years I'm honestly flabbergasted this story of Canada's corruption and money laundering for oligarchs hasn't been in headlines worldwide, caused Trudeau's government to be thrown out and for countries to consider placing sanctions against us.

This is about the biggest kick in the nuts my faith in humanity's and especially Canadian's desire for better transparency, accountability and good government has taken.

It's hard not to get the sense that Canadians who have looked at this story are quietly wondering to themselves where the downside is to $133 billion coming into Canada annually.

It's dirty money?  Pffft.

Why not tax the oligarch money that's coming into Canada?

15% would net us almost $20 billion.

There is an intelligent answer, you get that from your kids, dad all you do is whine about how much things cost, just buy it the money tree out back is full of money....

So i ask you where is all this new funding coming from, are you cutting existing programs, or raising taxes, either you don't know, don't care, just spend it until the bank explodes...it is a very typical lefty attitude...Greece tried that i wonder how they made out...but it is all about you... i get it...

Maybe like you said , we should ask the liberals why this is even possible, how is corruption at this level tolerated by this government...maybe Canadians are just corrupt MotherF***ers... Someone is getting paid off somewhere...

Well Skippy tell us what has you so proud these days, is it Justins reception at the EU parliament, or him walking around telling everyone to step up while his own nation gave peanuts...is it his indecision to commit to 2 % GDP for NATO, or his handling of getting Afghanistan interrupters out of Afghanistan, and now he is doing the same for Ukrainians, or so we think...maybe it's the cost of fuel, and everything else, or how a good portion of Canadians being outprices from the housing market.... maybe it is how we treat our vets, or scoff at our military... please tell us what your so proud of...
