America under President Trump

Considering HOW they covered it .. Trump had no path, his crazy rhetoric, saying he'll never be President, not many good things were said about Trump.   That's a lot of crow to eat, so since they don't like the taste of it, we get the Russian Hacking bull.  Clinton dug herself a hole long before this election

How many good things were said about Hillary Clinton? They covered his speeches live. How many other presidential candidates in history got such benefits? Clinton didn't.

Well, at least we have the benefit of more clearly seeing what's coming.

Bankruptcy and economic chaos in the US? More money accumulating at the very top, higher poverty, a shrinking middle class?

Yep, they don't even know how off-the-wall they look.  The MSM interferes in an election cycle and it's no problem.  But then the same MSM cries foul when they think someone else did the same thing.  You simply can not make this up!

It's now starting to look like Assange is getting tired of being ignored when he says it wasn't the Russians.  Word is that a Bernie loyalist insider of the DNC leaked the stuff when he or she saw how they had colluded against Bernie.  As it turns out, 4 people had to resign from the DNC because of the wikileaks, so maybe this person got some kind of justice in that and the Trump win.

And I think one or two died tragically.

Rex Tillerson. That name sounds like some cartoon-character.

Ok, joking aside, I think it is a relative strength in the US political system that their cabinet secretaries are not necessarily and nearly not always some day-to-day career politicians. In Europe almost all ministers are members of parliament and have a long experience of being in politics.

RSBN covered the Trump Rallies live. All volunteer other than a few paid employees...they've come a long way since the first rallies. Got their first studio the other day.

Didn't we JUST WATCH an election where the media assisted Hillary to no avail?

Yet we have Hillary-ites simply refusing to admit to that non-event...no sir...it's those Russians.

The media assisted Trump by giving him wall to wall coverage. He sucked all the oxygen out of everywhere he went and the media were quick to lap it up.

Hillary had zero opportunity to discuss her policies. The media should feel ashamed

Right...lol. MSM SUCKS was the common chant at his rallies. RSBN was the only outfit invited to cover Trump Rallies. As mentioned, mostly volunteers...myself included.

Yep...many books will be written about Team Trump's mastery of the media and message.   He just played with them whenever he pleased.  His digital domain and list of supporters was bigger/better than the RNC's, because it included independents and lefties who responded to red meat issues like immigration and equal pay for women.   In a feat of magic, Trump was able to develop a list of LGBTQ women supporters who were hot for equal pay and jobs, while keeping Republicans in the same tent.    Also turns out that rural women want to keep their guns.

Google...big data...analytics...texting...email....strong message = Victory !     In contrast, technology (Clinton's private email server) worked against her, because she did a very stupid thing.

The press didn't really have to say anything, Trump dug his own hole with all his racist blather and hrumphing around behind Hillary to try to intimidate her etc. There are of course some knuckle draggers who like that sort of crap, and then there are those who held their noses and voted Trump because they hope he will bring their jobs back. Boy are they going to find themselves sadly fooled!

Reliable lackeys who would put out the company message without failure, thought or question.

Betting there was no fact checking going on there!

Do you think so ?  I think he had the advantage of being known to people through his media persona, and having the advantage of that persona being fully human and knowable.  The politican persona that is/was Hillary Clinton is not one of a real person people can relate to.  If I would have voted for Trump it would have been because I thought he would have brought new points of view to problems of government.

I heard a podcast with the Economist last summer and he certainly spoke to them in a completely different manner than at his mob rallies.  I didn't really agree with his take on isolationism but he clearly had a ton of detailed knowledge of the subject matter, having actually done business in many countries.

Yes, and here is why:   I watched a Google sponsored media post mortem for the Republican presidential campaign and it quickly became obvious that Team Trump and the RNC had learned from the 2008 and 2012 campaigns.   At every level, the Trump campaign out hustled Team Clinton and did it with less money by using the media to get their message out for free.   Just bait the hook, set it with some outrageous pitch by front man Trump, and watch the fun.   They dominated the news cycle and never let Clinton gain any momentum.

Trump's people took what the RNC had to offer and improved it with better digital methods and analytics.  They knew what worked and what didn't work in real time, all while playing Rope-A-Dope with the MSM, DNC, and their very flawed candidate.

Trump was the smartest guy in the room...but it goes back to the Scott Walker campaign in Wisconsin.

RSBN provided no commentary...just reliable live coverage of every event. Each feed had a big chatroom.

That's 'er...

Folks preferred to party in the chat-rooms, watching a live feed of Trump's 757 pulling-up to the packed hangar than listening to any f-----g talking head tell them what was happening. If computers were BBQs, it was tailgate-dining at its finest. Pass the sauce...Hillary sucks!

Nailed it!

I love how the left thinks that Trump's a dunce.  They are being bamboozled by the master and they never saw him coming.  In his own way on the podium he's got a charm that the people can see and appreciate.  A tailgate party for sure, Trump that bitch!(Actual t-shirt I saw on a New Yorker of all people)

Nah they were just fed up with putting off the inevitable. It was time to embrace the horror.

Besides which, there was no left-wing option to vote for. As you often pointed out a vote for Clinton was a vote for even more of the same militaristic big business big surveillance state that's been on tap the last eight years already.
