  1. I think identity politics is having a meaningful impact to our culture, employment, and unity. You can't just ignore reality.
  2. No it's a very specific form of over-politeness obsessed with race and gender and trying to make sure everyone fits into some kind of identity quota. It's not very polite to discriminate against someone based on their race or gender. Maybe you're retired and don't lose out on jobs and promotions because you don't have the right shade of skin or genitals.
  3. Sure let it all burn down. It's going to come to head at some point anyways. This is the result of decadence in our society. We're too well-off, and thus everyone is coddled, spoiled and entitled and afraid of everything and more indifferent to our politics because why care if things are so easy? Well things are getting harder and I'm glad, it's a wake-up call. This will get the kids off their phones. The great depression/WWII generation took nothing for granted but they don't run society anymore and most are dead anyways. Justin Trudeau is the spokesperson for the coddled, spoiled, entitled, narcissistic people we've become. Somebody fire these rich kids now please. That weasel PeePee isn't much better.
  4. You guys are fighting over the scraps while the corporate dawgs sodomize working Americans. Sodomy is sodomy no matter what brand it carries.
  5. Too bad the Liberals are exactly the same. We're getting daycare and pharmcare and dental care only because the NDP hold their balls in a noose and it doesn't hurt the rich in Canada, it actually helps them. All paid for by charging it to the debt, no skin off the nose of the Liberals, it's not their money. Don't worry the Liberals would never raise taxes on the rich, that would be like taxing themselves. So the Liberals are corrupt, and the CPC are too, and the federal NDP aren't so much (yet) because they've never governed. The second they got into power they'd sell us all out, you can bet your RRSP on it. Nothing changes until the system changes. Trudeau and PP can each sh*t. Singh too. You're not a Canadian, you're a Brit anglo loyalist. Another tribalist in our midst. Eat sh*t like all the rest.
  6. And what's my "tribe"? My tribe is called "Canada", and we all belong to it. Don't worry I don't have a PeePee sign on my lawn. Does criticizing this woke left nonsense make me a boogieman or something? Does it offend you? Who cares. Yes this woke nonsense is eroding our social and national unity, and it's anti-liberalism. Liberalism is where everyone has the same individual rights in a society. Everyone is treated the same regardless of race, religion, gender etc. Liberalism is where people are judged not by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character. This government has failed at that and embraced the opposite because all they see is race and gender etc.. Everyone is tokenized, everyone is a member of a tribe rather than just a Canadian. In a "post-national state" there is no nation called Canada, it's just a place where a bunch of different tribes live and fight over power. If everyone is a Canadian first and foremost there's a lot less fighting over power because we're fighting for the interests of the same things. The other major problem in this country is political corruption from corporate and foreign entities. I've discussed this at length including with you. I am for the interests of our country and the interests of its regular everyday working people and am proud of that and have never wavered from it. You don't have a monopoly on caring about transparency and accountability. I'll have to read this article when I have more time.
  7. Hey maybe Americans should keep getting mad at the party they dislike instead of realizing the system is a joke bought and paid for. Worked great so far
  8. GOP vs Democrats is like Catholics vs Protestants. They're based on BS and lies, their followers can't even recognize their real enemy because they're too busy fighting each other and drinking the Kool-Aid. Divide and conquer baby.
  9. Well you have Biden who is a puppet on strings. A lot of Democrat supporters definitely behave like they're in some kind of cult or religion and you're viewed as a heretic if you criticize The Party. Trump is definitely a cult leader. All the mindless drones who still believe his lies about the stolen election etc. Show yourselves!...criticize this post!!
  10. I'm not interested in defending our system. Scale doesn't matter, the effect on policy does. Greenbelt scams, SNC Lavalin, WE Charity, Chinese donations to the Trudeau Foundation etc, free Aga Khan vacations, and countless other examples we'll never hear about. Our governments are run by corrupt sellouts.
  11. I'm not arguing scale. The US economy is far larger and has most of the richest corporations in the world.
  12. Rewarding terrorism on Oct 7 with massive political gains like a 2 state solution for Palestine after the current fighting is done is a really bad idea that will encourage more terrorism.
  13. When was the last time the same 2 candidates from GOP and Dems had a rematch in consecutive POTUS elections? Has it ever happened?
  14. Whoa whoa eyeball, anti-elitism? Grassroots? That's populism, a dirty word these days. Our political representatives in Ottawa, and in the provinces and on city councils, simply can't be trusted to act and vote in our best interests.
  15. Both parties are corrupt and serve monied interests. In the US it's legal and more out in the open. In Canada it happens more under the table. Yes the Trudeau gov has been bad, but like all governments not 100% bad. But still "worst in my lifetime" bad.
  16. Trudeau and the Liberals have implemented a bad vision for this country. The CPC has won the popular vote in the last 2 elections, so many Canadians have rejected the Liberal vision. The CPC definitely isn't perfect but its time for a change in leadership and a plurality of Canadians agree with me both now according to all of the polls and and over the past 2 elections.
  17. Encouraging everyone to retreat into separate identity tribes while demonizing the one tribe we all belong to and suppressing our collective pride for it is a really bad idea. This has been the ideology of the woke left, including our current government of the past 8 years. Yes we're all different and always have been, but we need to reject divisive identity politics and vote the current government out of office because they're destroying the country.
  18. Most cops, especially in Canada, will start complying with the law when they know they're being recorded. Different situation than the cart lady. You shouldn't have touched her cart, like Walmart employees shouldn't touch your parcels. Anyways I get your fears. Good luck.
  19. Next time go tell the Walmart "greeter" aka security guard to bugger off and continue walking towards your vehicle, and if they have an issue tell them they can call the cops. Make sure you have your camera recording the interaction in case they do something illegal, because you can be assured they're recording you for the same reason. And when the cops show up and the cop asks to see your receipt or ID ask the cop if they have reasonable suspicion that you've committed a crime, and when they say "no" tell them "have a nice day" and then calmly enter your vehicle and drive home and enjoy your luxurious Walmart goods. This is how our legal rights work in this country. Our Charter guarantees against unreasonable search and seizure by police and certainly from minimum wage Walmart security who don't know anything about the law. We don't live in a police state and shouldn't let our politeness and induced fear from corporate bullies convince us to ignore our Charter rights. The moment you're finished paying for your goods at the checkout the commercial transaction is finished, it's now your rightful private property, and what's in your bag is nobody's business. Walmart can prevent you from entering their private property with a trespass order, but they can't prevent you from leaving it with the possible that they have reasonable cause to believe that you've committed a crime. Being black or being a customer isn't good enough justification. It sucks that Walmart is victim to a lot of theft, but they chose to install self-checkouts in order to save money on cashiers, and they have every right to watch all their customers on camera while they shop and check out. So instead of harassing innocent customers they should pay for more security staff, which obviously they don't want to do. I invite you to research your legal rights.
  20. Stores are free to ask to see your receipts, but you don't have to show anyone anything when you're leaving their property with your own property that you've just purchased. They aren't the police, and even the police couldn't force you to show you any ID or your receipt because in order to detain and ID you they need reasonable suspicious that you've committed a crime, which they wouldn't have if you haven't done anything wrong. If stores want to catch thieves then they should have cameras in their stores and cameras at their self-checkouts and do actual security work instead of treating all of their customers like crime suspects. So at Wal-mart they used to check receipts, for which you could legally refuse. At Costco it's more complicated because you sign an agreement and have a membership based on that. There's lots of videos on Youtube of people refusing receipt checks at Walmart and the employees freaking out, and some harassing the customers by following them to their car and starting confrontations.
  21. Jews are indigenous to the area. Their land was stolen from them by Muslim conquerors and were expelled. They built cities like Jerusalem. All of their important religious sites are in Israel that they built and was stolen from them and nobody asked them. Yes I understand why the Arabs in the area were mad.
  22. And what have the Palestinians done to achieve peace? You can't complain about being victims when you've tried to murder your "oppressors" for the last 75 years and haven't ever recognized their right to even exist. If something is going to swing your government and its voters towards the hard right it's probably your neighbours trying to kill you and your family over your entire lifetime starting a few years after your race barely survived another genocide attempt during WWII.
  23. How do you get rid of Hamas? It's likely impossible. The biggest enemy of Gazans isn't Israel, it's Hamas, and Gazans elected them. So here we are. A region governed by a terrorist group who continually murder your people and want your country destroyed and giving them their own state and the rights therein to have their own military and trade to import weapons is a non-starter for Israel. They'll never allow it as long as Hamas does what they do, nor should they. The good faith needs to be shown by the current government of Gaza (Hamas), not Israel. Even though Hamas was continually launching rocket and suicide attacks at them, in the mid-2000's Israel removed all their people from Gaza and let them have their land back and have democratic elections. Palestinians immediately elected Hamas. The current government of Israel aren't the nicest people but they also aren't suicidal.
