The West isn't "divided between rising extreme right and traditional democracy", it's divided by the nationalistic right and the self-hating progressive left. Our society is so decadent that even men don't want have to have kids anymore, or shovel the driveway or mow the grass, and they live in their parents' house until they're 35 because they're scared to talk to women outside of the few they might come across while online gaming. We can add broken families via divorces, kids out of wedlock due to casual sex (especially amongst the lower incomes), and abortions to the list. The progressive left since the 1960's has been destroying western civilizations. They want their comforts and "rights" without thinking through the consequences. So stick your parents in a retirement home and your kids in a daycare and tell them to STFU. Then you have the economic right r*ping the worker since the 1980's, and parroting corporate "freedom" talking points, and at least in the US letting the rich convince them that huge profits for colleges, healthcare and health insurance companies, and gun makers and defense contractors is good for society. It's a real sh*t-show. People are dumb as f*ck.

This sounds fantastic. Racial and sexual discrimination etc have no place in our society. My only issue is that governments shouldn't be censoring university professors. However, if PP means woke hiring and admissions practices based on things like race, sex etc then that may be ok. We should protect academic freedom though. Bad ideas should be fought with better ideas within universities. I'm not really sure how much or if colleges/universities get federal funding since education is a provincial domain.

We do deport failed refugee applicants. Some do disappear and stay illegally forever. I don't think your numbers on skilled migrants (economic class) is correct, they make up the majority of people granted permanent resident status.

We're at global over- capacity for a sustainable environment, but Canada isn't the cause since we're a country with low birth rates importing people from countries with high birth rates.

Montreal isn't BC. There's lots of snow in the winter. Did your school play the Canadian national anthem every morning growing up? My francophone Montreal friend says they did not in her schools.

A lot of educated people are smug and self-righteous and not as smart as they think they are. Just look at the Liberal Party. Note that I'm university educated.

We live in an era where one side denies facts and the other side thinks they know everything because they read some books and took numerous classes, not realizing that a bunch of those books and profs have strong leftwing biases in how they interpret facts (via social theories and whatnot). Some even suppress certain facts that don't align with their worldview. So if you don't go to school after high school, you're dumb. But if you do, you're also dumb. Society is effed.

Money is a collateral effect of people wanting stuff. The way to get rid of murder then is to get rid of people wanting stuff. Including pretty women and, for the diddlers, small children.

If Trump is serious with the tariffs and they blow up in his face this could be the end of the Trump nutters winning elections in the US. The nutters on the right and left need to go away. I think we need moderate or center-right and center-left populism right now. I agree. Ultimately people have to follow the law. But some murders are more understandable than others, like self-defense or a dad killing the rapist of his daughter. I assume the dad will serve time but the sentence will be lighter than most murders and I think that's the correct thing. Murder is over the top, but any dad would understandably assault his daughter's rapist. If it were just assault I think the dad should walk. I don't think its a left or right thing, more about emotions over reason, which affects people of all stripes. Many on the left are cheering the murder of the heathcare CEO, and he didn't even break the law.

There's no such thing as wage slavery. Nobody is forcing you to voluntarily sign an employment contract as an employee. Go clean people's houses and be your own boss.
