2020 census didn't apply to the 2020 electoral college, only the 2024 college, where Trump won every swing state LOL -

You're saying Trump supporters storming the Capitol building while the Senate was inside confirming the EC vote count in order to stop the count because they believed Trump's lies including the ones he repeated that day to them that the election "was rigged" and "stolen" and "Pence is a traitor" wasn't an attempt to sabotage the EC vote count? Wisen up Shady. -

Why should we hate Nazis?

Now imagine Arab Muslims conquering Palestine, building their mosques on top of ancient Jewish religious sites, and then telling Jews to go eff themselves when they're getting mass slaughtered in Europe and want to come back to their homeland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_Mount -

This is BS. Irgun did not "become the IDF", they were absorbed into the IDF like other paramilitary organizations. Irgun was not the primary Jewish paramilitary group in Mandatory Palestine, that was Haganah. Irgun was an independent terrorist group that was opposed and condemned by leaders David Ben-Gurion and Chaim Weizmann plus the British, US etc. Those Jewish leaders controlled Haganah, not Irgun. Einstein condemned Irgun like everyone else did. In fact Irgun's creation was a result of Jewish leaders putting restrictions on Haganah to avoid retribution attacks on Palestinian Arabs because Arabs would attack Jews in Mandatory Palestine. Irgun didn't agree with the restrictions so they splintered from Haganah and formed their own aggressive militant group. You can't use some massacre incident by some radical splinter terrorist group punks as if it's the responsibility or will of mainstream Zionists Jews or their leaders. Haganah's role was to defend Jews in Mandatory Palestine against attacks by Arabs. Imagine indigenous Canadians moving back to Canada and buying land and white Canadians attacking them because the indigenous wanted self-determination. The fact is Arabs were typically the ones causing the violence. They attacked Jews as they began migrating to Palestine, Jews were not attacking Arabs, except some instances of retribution for Arab attacks by some Jewish hooligans like Irgun. The 1947 civil war erupted when the 1947 UN Partition Plan passed and Arab Palestinians started violence. When the State of Israel was declared Arabs attacked again. The vast majority of 1947-1948 Arab Palestinian refugees prior to Israeli independence left on their own out of fear of war or were convinced to leave by Arab leaders who thought they'd win a war and they'd be able to soon return. -

When Israel declared independence they didn't try to kill anyone, the UN gave them a state and all Arab neighbours attacked them. So if indigenous people declared an independent state decreed to them by the UN in half of Canada around the areas they live now (mostly rural areas and the north) would you attack them or support such an attack? -

Jews immigrated legally to Palestine. They didn't "invade". You're confusing them with the Arab Muslim armies in 640 CE who conquered and stole Jewish land at knife-point. If the indigenous peoples of Canada wanted their own country, and a whole bunch of them moved back to Canada legally by buying land after being holocausted abroad, i'd probably be a little understanding of the whole thing, even if i disagreed on some of the details. I certainly wouldn't support launching military attacks on them when they declared their own state per UN decree, I wouldn't launch rockets at their civilians weekly for decades in order to terrorize them, and I wouldn't be barging into their homes and slaughtering them out of hatred. If indigenous Canadians wanted their own country after being slaughtered elsewhere we know what your response would be. You would acquiesce and appease. You're a hypocrite. You certainly wouldn't defend your country, you're a "citizen of planet earth", remember? Roll over on your back and let the wolves eat you alive...wouldn't want to stand up for yourself and risk hurting somebody's feelings! You BC hippies are all the same... -

That was immediately after the holocaust ended. When the whole world hates you and the country you lived in just tried to exterminate you, your family, and your people, it's not surprising that some resort to violence out of desperation in order to save their very existence because they feel there's no other option to be safe. Palestinian Arabs have never felt that. They're surrounded by Arab Muslim countries You mean how you feel about conservatives on the issue? The anti-zionist lefties are about appeasement and submission. They want to give Palestinians everything they want in order to end the conflict, which is the destruction of the State of Israel. They're no different than Neville Chamberlain or Jimmy Carter. Nice guys finish last and are too weak to be willing to defend anything. The reasonable solution is a 2-state solution, which hardline religious conservatives on both sides don't want. I'm not a hardline religious conservative, but most Israelis and Palestinians are, and especially their leaders. Hence, we have war. If everyone followed international law there would have never been any war and there would be no conflict now. We would have a 2-state solution per the 1947 UN partition plan. There's fault on both sides, but it started with the Arabs when they launched war against Israel in 1948. -
Israeli government claims he was a Hamas terror leader. Al Jazeera and human rights groups deny this. The problem here is that i'm not naive enough to believe the Israeli government, Al Jazeera, or human rights groups without evidence. Same with the National Post or CBC News. Who even has credibility any more? Not many. We live in perilous times.

The problem is even when Israel was following international law they were still attacked by Palestinians and other Arab countries. People on the left have the false assumption that Hamas attacks Israel due to things like the illegal West Bank settlements and blocking movement and trade, the same thing leftists disagree with Israel about. But that's not true, the goal of Hamas and most Palestinians and Arab Muslims is to destroy the state of Israel and re-conquer all of Israel/Palestine, and it has been such since the creation of Israel in 1948. I support justice for Palestinians but also justice for Israelis. Leftists only seem to focus largely on the injustices against Palestinians because Israel is a far more powerful entity. The Arab world including Palestine is filled with many intolerant anti-semitic warmongers but western leftists paint them as victims. There's a lot of hatred and violence to go around here. You yourself believe Jews arrived in Palestine "guns blazing". How? Mandatory Palestine was controlled by the British from 1920-1948, as were the migration policies. Jews legally bought land from Arab landowners under Ottoman-era land laws and were granted a state by vote of the UN General Assembly in 1948. -

Moonlight Graham replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Can you be specific? My understanding of the history is that members of the Jewish diaspora began legally buying land (under the Ottoman land code laws of 1858, not British laws) and moving to Palestine prior to 1948. Then the UN General Assembly voted to create a 2-state solution in 1947, which included Israel. When Israel declared itself a state in 1948 the Arab Palestinians and neighbouring Arab countries attacked Israel/Jews. In 1939 the population of Palestine was 1.5 million. About 1 million were Arabs and 500,000 were Jews. -
Why should we hate Nazis?
Moonlight Graham replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We're told to hate Nazis because they were totalitarian racial supremacist warmongers who tried to conquer the globe through military violence and genocide the races they viewed as genetically inferior. Seems logical to dislike them. Communists haven't behaved much better. They're totalitarians who enslave every worker with high ability and steal the product of their labor and give it to those with low ability. Naturally people with high ability want to leave communist countries to keep their labor, so communists have to ban people from leaving their country without permission (enslavement). That's why they need to erect walls to keep people in. They also ban any other political party who might compete with them, control the media and freedom of expression in order to brainwash people towards their BS, and disallow other human rights that may threaten their power. -
Global Warming: Man-Made or Natural?

The vast majority of climate-related scientists disagree with Fred Singer. Link in OP from 2007? LOL. -
The Liberal goal says they want 500k new homes built per year, which is about double the historical average if i'm not mistaken. Not only is this very unlikely to happen, but if it does it's going to contribute to the current speculation bubble on housing. What needs to be done is to tame speculative buying for people buying investment properties just for profit in order to increase supply of homes for people who actually want to live inside them. But the baby boomers voted these Liberals back in, so they aren't going to do anything about that. You want to make money for retirement? Go buy an ETF and some bonds like a normal person. Once Canadian workers are completely tapped out on mortgages and can't afford to increase bids (thus no longer increasing home prices) these housing speculators are going to realize they aren't making much money any more, and then will start selling their investment properties, and once that happens the housing market will collapse. Either that, or many start defaulting on their high mortages and it collapses even harder like in the US.

The Current Deportation Numbers
Moonlight Graham replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If the stats in the OP link are correct then isn't the Trump admin doing a bad job compared to their goals? -
The problem is a lot of people are ignorant a-holes. All the time people just randomly park on the side of the road on my street where nobody can see them and throw their Tims cups or McDonald's garbage on the side of the road and leave You tell people not to throw their cigarette butts on the ground and a bunch will do it when in the woods and not many people are around them. Banning people from the woods in extreme circumstances like a drought with a lot of uncontrolled forest fires is better than having more forest fires and not being able to breathe and most people having to stay inside all day because the the sky is hazy-orange with smoke particles.

Why should we hate Nazis?
Moonlight Graham replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The far-right are hyper-nationalist, which means they're hyper self-preserving, to the point that they think their nation (race) is superior to all others and therefore they seek to dominate, conquer, and destroy/replace other nations/races they see as inferior, like the Nazis did. The far-left are the exact opposite. Instead of feeling their nation and race are superior they actually feel they're inferior to all others, and feel guilt and shame for who they are. This is how leftist white people feel about their race and how leftist Americans and Canadians feel about their own country. They feel guilt and shame for being "strong", because some members of any group who have power will inevitably abuse that power on the weak at some point. Therefore the far-left see themselves as inherently evil and see no value in themselves and no reason to preserve their nation/race, and in fact sometimes take steps to see its extinction. Both of these mindsets are extremely destructive and anti-social. A healthy middle-ground mindset would be to value your own nation/race/culture, be proud of who you are and where you came from, and want to see it preserved because it has value, but not see it as inherently superior to other nations/races/cultures. This is the most core element of nature and life itself. Most every animal including humans seek a mate and yearn to have offspring because we value ourselves and those we love and want to pass on our genes and pass on our traditions and what we have learned. Value for ourselves and love for another results in creation itself. The left has compassionate for the weak, which is a good thing. But the last 60 years we've seen the left try to convince us that white people are bad (racist warmongers), men suck, our country is evil, our forebearers were evil, while de-valuing marriage (rampant divorce rates and single parent homes), de-valuing motherhood/parenthood and children (women in the workforce, abortions, childcare instead of parenting). Nazis are obviously extremely destructive but is the far-left any better? -
