If they allow any migrant to immediately claim refugee status upon being charged with a serious crime in order to avoid deportation, flood the country with unprecedented numbers of temporary migrants, and don't fund the IRCC/IRB enough to process the inevitable drastic increase in refugee claims in less than 4 freaking years while handing out freebies like healthcare and other benefits to them then that is a choice. Canada is one of the most economically prosperous societies in human history. Same every other western country lol. Stats show literally the exact opposite patterns of birth rates than what you're saying: The poorer the country the HIGHER the birth rates. You live in fantasy land. The US has far fewer regulations than Canada and also has sub-replacement birth rate. And if you have a perpetually shrinking population 1. there's continually lower and lower population of consumers buying groceries, doing banking, going to restaurants, getting haircuts, and buying items on the shelf etc. The TSX would literally collapse because nobody would invest in businesses whose stock is going to continually decrease in value from shrinking revenues and profits. People will always be having sex and having babies due to their internal drives. But the problem is that for the last 60 years women have had access to reliable birth control and then abortions in order to choose the exact # of kids they want. Most couples choose between only 1-3 kids as enough for them to handle, and an increasing # of couples don't want any kids, which has resulted in a sub-replacement birthrate. The economic argument for not having more kids is nonsense. People had far more kids the previous 100,000 years of human history and were much poorer than the last 60 years. Even in the 90's the economics were very good in Canada and much of the West and the birthrate was still sub-replacement. So what's the solution? Either: 1. Social trends change and people decide they want to have more kids. 2. Couples are literally bribed with significant free money by the government to have more kids, or 3. birth control and abortions stop being used or are banned (which would cause unwanted population explosion like in Asia due to far better medicine/healthcare than past centuries).

The system doesn't function the way you say it does, because of "responsible government" in the Westminster system and the constitutional requirement for the government to maintain the confidence of the majority of MP's in Parliament. If there's a confidence bill, like the budget, and the vote doesn't pass, an election is automatically triggered. So leaders maintain party discipline especially for confidence votes in order for the government to actually exist and function. If you're Jody Wilson-Raybould and you act on behalf of the interests of your constituents you're kicked out of caucus and lose your party nomination and have little to no power sitting as an independent. And people typically don't vote for independent MP's exactly because they have virtually no power in Parliament. So people vote for the party and the party leader and often don't give a rat who their MP is because he doesn't have much power anyways. The leader has the power to whip votes, assign people to desirable cabinet positions and committees etc. There's a clear power hierarchy between leader > cabinet > backbenchers.

If the Liberals attain a majority then Carney needs to call another election ASAP. If these crossing MP's had any ethics they would sit as independents if they didn't like their party. They're directly stifling the will of the people. PP needs to resign as leader. He's a Republican in disguise and needs to go away. His party is busy obstructing the House of Commons and Parliamentary committees like the GOP does in the US. This needs to stop. And he's a complete fool if he thinks Canadians are ever going to vote for this. Or good sense.

It's vain to want to survive? I'm not talking about dominating the world. I'm talking about continuing to just EXIST on planet earth. The reproduction rates in all western countries are well below replacement levels. They're going extinct and being replaced by Indians, Africans, Arabs, Asians etc. There's a huge difference in believing you're superior to other societies or wanting to ban all immigrants versus wanting to simply continue EXISTING. The next time you talk to an immigrant tell them that multiculturalism in Canada doesn't matter because maintaining your culture, traditions, language etc is vain. Go tell the Brits and Germans and Italians and Spanish that their culture and ethnicity is meanginless. And you don't care? Indigenous people complaining about it is vanity? "Cultures change, just learn English and believe in Jesus, get over it". It's also pretty ordinary to value your ethnicity/culture and wish to maintain its very existence.
