Yes the working classes are getting screwed. And I have no issues with barbed wire and rifles to keep out people trying to enter illegally. If they fired warning shots and then shot adults in the leg if they continued to try to enter illegally then the number of illegal attempts would drop to virtually nothing, and they'd all deserve it. But we don't have the balls to enforce the law. I also have zero issue refusing legal refugee status to anyone who doesn't have the skills/education to keep themselves and their family out of poverty in Canada. Instead we have violent gangs and organized car theft rings in our cities. Relocate them safely to a country more in line with their socioeconomic status. There's large areas of my city that have turned into poverty trash bins. I'm so tired of it. Progressives like yourself are completely incapable of protecting our country because you're too worried about being "nice". -

I would think this would benefit the rich and hurt the middle class and poor. The rich make far more in money than they can consume, so they invest the rest. Before the GST existed Canada was doing just fine. Get rid of it. Our government wastes money on all sorts of nonsense. -
Provinces have a Charter veto, not a veto on the whole constitution. Some issues like national defence are federal issues that can't or don't make sense to made by each province. But I do think there should be as much provincial and local control over laws as is reasonable. Problem is the agreement that decides what feds and provinces were in charge of was made in 1867 and re-opening the constitutional is basically impossible in this country because of Quebec.

Women >>>> Men at This:
Moonlight Graham replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Does Trudeau like to surround himself with women in cabinet, GG etc because he's a feminist, or because women often swoon to him because of his handsome charms and thus he tends to have more influence over them and support from them compared to men? Food for thought. -
All money I pay in GST/HST at time of purcahse is my hard-earned money. They're letting me keep more of my own money, then also sending me a cheque. Of course they aren't sending us the $250 around Xmas when people need it, they're sending it in April after the 2024-25 government fiscal year is over so it doesn't count towards their budget this year so they can still show how nice their budget spending has been this year during the election campaign.

Celebs actually leaving?
Moonlight Graham replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi as was bin Laden so why no travel ban from Saudi Arabia? -

Celebs actually leaving?
Moonlight Graham replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Remember when Trump wanted to ban all foreign Muslims but his lawyers told him it was super racist so then he changed it as a ban of people from all Muslim countries instead but then his lawyers told him that he couldn't because the US has key Arab allies like Saudi Arabia so then Trump just settled on banning people from only some Muslim countries? Remember that? -

Why would they leave? Is Trump really going to impact people's lives that much over 4 years? Besides maybe illegal migrants and some immigrant groups (Muslim ban). He can't even do anything about abortion now, it's in the hands of the SCOTUS and the states. -
My neighbours went to the local forest for a hike and found a homeless guy living in a tent. A month ago they found a guy living in his car on the street. Never seen a homeless guy in these parts before the last few years. It's wild. They'd usually ALL live downtown near the homeless shelters and such. Not good.

Moral disorder of our time; hatred of Israel

In criminal justice, there's also a long trend in many cases of the left putting their sympathies more behind the criminal than the victims. Gary had a bad childhood and committed theft and murder, feel sorry for him. Meanwhile, who is caring about the dead guy's family or the person who had their stuff stolen? -

LOL and he proved this in which of the court cases he started? He was telling people to vote in person in August. You're a liar like Trump. -

Trump and his lawyers tried everything in their power to steal an election they lost.
