Canada is in such bad shape because we’ve had a government in office for over a decade that’s pursued terrible policies that have made things worse for everyone except for the very wealthy.6 points

1. Left-leaning parties have been "trying" for the last 10 years in this country. What did the Liberals accomplish? What did the Liberal-NDP alliance accomplish? Large deficit spending on social programs and taxes on fossil fuels causes inflation (not saying those are the only reasons for recent inflation). The most left-leaning cities in the country are unaffordable dystopian sh!holes filled with drugs, theft, and gang violence. Mass immigration has contributed to inflation, healthcare overcrowding, and crime. 2. Canada has among the lowest birthrates in the world and a low population density. Countries like India, China etc are far more to blame. Maybe even the US compared to Canada. 3. What do you want the Liberals to do differently? What are your proposed solutions? It's very easy to say "let's reduce income inequality", but the devil is in the details. What do you propose specifically? The rich are already taxed at least 50%+ in this country. We've raised minimum wages and started new dental/pharma/daycare programs (that aren't being costed and paid for and just added to the debt). The problems of inequality are far more troublesome in the US. In Canada our biggest economic problems are housing and rent affordability and the resulting decrease in standard of living because of the % of people's paychecks going to mortgages/rents. Leftwing politicians have made these issues worse. The boomers don't want their house prices to go down. Yet we need a lot of immigration because of plummeting birthrates, which are the direct result of decades of progressives pushing for things like birth control use, abortion, women in the workplace etc. to a radical degree. I'm not claiming the CPC or GOP have ideal solutions either. I think all the main parties in Canada and the US are filled with ideological nutjobs. Centrist politicians with reasonable solutions are an endangered species. 4. Stop projecting things onto me.4 points

They’ve made a number of proposals, but they don’t have legislative power to implement them. They advocated for eliminating the consumer carbon tax several years ago. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for linking immigration to housing and health care. Liberals ignored. They e advocated for building pipelines and LNG facilities. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for a path to a balanced budget. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for repealing C69 so that Canada can start developing its resources in a faster manner. Liberals ignored. You’re still consumed with blaming parties that have had no power to make changes, while absolving those that have. Your argument lacks any logic and reason.4 points

Well the official opposition's job is to complain. To hold the government accountable. Could the CPC do a better job at providing specific solution proposals instead of vague slogans like "stop the crime, build the homes" etc? Yes absolutely. They do that because most voters will agree on reducing crime and building more homes, but not everyone will agree on the solutions to do it. The problem with the Liberals is that they have formed the government for 10 years now and their solutions which have been enacted policy have been largely failures. You can't blame the CPC for any of the failures of Liberal policy or their NDP partners who supported them.4 points

In this time where the US is threatening Canadian identity, it's nice to be reminded that we are part of a very cool group of nations: The Commonwealth. I'm sure many think we should just become a run-of-the-mill Republic, but being part of this club based on the British form of government is a desirable trait to the Canadian identity. The last time the true head of state gave a throne speech in Canada was in 1977. I think the gesture of having him speak to usher in this new government is a powerful symbol of Canadians true identity.3 points

Dan Bongino is very careful with his words. In this case he called all three cases instances of potential public corruption. It is interesting that he included the J6 Pipe Bomber case as an example of public corruption.3 points

But it wasn't the price paid to stimulate the economy. Nor did the economy need any stimulation. Overstimulating the economy when it wasn't necessary is what led to inflation. The economy had been artificially repressed during covid, the moment the restrictions came off the economy sprung back and all of that money that was sitting on the sidelines started getting spent there was absolutely no need whatsoever for stimulus spending. So he racked up the debt for no reason, increased inflation for no reason, And then jiggered a number of financial markers to hide the fact that the economy wasn't doing that great. And this is the guy you worship3 points

Carney is still a left wing ideologue. He talked like a red tory during the election to trick people into voting for him but at the end of the day he's still a woke social justice loser. Of course he's going to side with the terrorists, just like ilhan omar and the crew. And the palestinians in canada will actually attack him, while the jews will not. Jews don't have violent protests so why would he side with them? Isreal needs to wrap this up one way or another. These tards will make life more and more difficult for them over time.3 points

I do believe it was a mistake one that historians have argued for decades...Many brits would tell you different story's about the effectiness of the bombings, had the nazi's had the same capacity of bombers the allied had i think the brits would be telling a much different story....ask the Germans / Japanese what they thought of allied bombing. Ukraine is a mere shell of what it once was , it will take decades to rebuild everything back to what it once was... Your forgetting fighting in europe was total warfare, killing incent civilians was done on purpose to get them to pressure their government into a surrender. In Israel conflict that is not an option....the country is following the Geneva convention and is being monitored on the ground every day by dozens or organizations...Hamas knows the Geneva convention as well and uses it to their full advantage, inflating numbers is what they do...The convention also spells out very clearly that hospitals are forbidden targets..."Unless" the enemy is using them to their own tactical advantage, then the revert back to military targets and can be bombed...most people in the world don't know about the conventions so they gasp every time a school or hospital is bombed.... Boots on the ground is very very expensive in manpower...and death tolls would be ten times higher if That's all they relied on....Israelis are using every precaution in the book plus many more to ensure the death tolls are as low as they are...you don't drop a 2000lb bomb and not kill everything in a two to 3 block radius....unless you told people to get out... No i don't blame it on being anti Semitic, but i do blame most people not very educated on the subject, if they had read up on what is going on , with both sides not many would be supporting Hamas in any way...Israel is going to destroy these terrorist one way or another , and if that takes push all palestinians into the sea that is what is going to happen, Israel has been pushed to far...I spent 6 months in Israel/ Sinai peninsula/ Gaza, and trust me Palestinians are not the angles people think of...2 points

Nice comparison....the NAZI's also killed everyone that they did not like or spoke up, funny i don't see any concentration camps pop up, or random mass shootings of civilians....2 points

1. Isn't Rahm Emanuel where he is because of 'woke politics'? 2. Emanuel: “If you want the country to give you the keys to the car, somebody’s got to be articulating an agenda that’s fighting for America, not just fighting [President] Trump.”... Sorry Rahm, the "fighting for America" lane is already chock-full of GOPers. What are you gonna do Rahmy-boiii, just copy all of their ideas, like Mark Carney, only to "change your mind" after you're elected?2 points

Your response to the OP's question "Why is Canada such a mess?" was (your exact quote) "Because conservatives have done nothing to help make it better". The CPC hasn't had any legislative power for 10 years. The Liberals, and to a smaller extent the NDP, are largely to blame here when it comes to federal parties. And the voters who keep voting them back into power.2 points

I see Hodad is over here pushing his usual dishonest BS. You see, what he is doing here is blurring history together as if Trump, in one edict, said no one gets in except these few white people over here. Clearly dishonest framing. Trump ended ALL refugee programs at the outset of his administration. There was nothing racist or racial about it. As time went on, later in his administration, this was one of the first revisions to that initial pause. Focused on this specific situation, not on race. This doesn't apply to white people from other places. Nothing blatantly racist about it.2 points

But they have been trying to make Canada stronger. But if the party in power doesn’t agree with their policy prescriptions there isn’t anything that they can do. The Liberal party is solely to blame for their policies, and the mess that Canada finds itself in. It’s not the conservatives fault that it took 6 years for them to finally eliminate the consumer carbon tax for example. Conservatives wanted it gone several years ago, but didn’t have the legislative power to do do.2 points

Thrown out by a federal judge. https://www.reuters.com/legal/bidens-catch-release-border-policy-struck-down-by-us-judge-2023-03-08/ Biden's 'catch and release' border policy struck down by US judge March 8 (Reuters) - A federal judge in Florida on Wednesday agreed with the state's Republican attorney general that the policy of President Joe Biden's administration to release many people who illegally cross the U.S.-Mexican border rather than detaining them violates U.S. immigration law. U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell in Pensacola blocked the administration from continuing to implement a 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that had authorized "alternatives to detention" to ease overcrowding in detention facilities. These alternatives included ankle bracelets, phone monitoring or check-ins by immigration officers. Republican critics have called the policy "catch and release."2 points

You just can't help with the racism, can you? What was legal about what happened at the southern border? Asylum claims must come at the first country of departure. Let's say you leave Panama and come to Costa Rica. That's where you apply for asylum. But if you fly from Panama to the US you can apply in the US. What was really happening at the US is that the Biden admin invented procedures that don't exist to do things that aren't legal. As a result, we know that thousands (if not millions) of illegal aliens received SSNs, registered to vote and voted. We know millions used Medicaid, SCHIP and housing resources that were for American citizens, and we know thousands of them broke multiple federal laws even after admission (to include, but not limited to: rape, murder, trafficking, and selling drugs). So, I'll ask again, what was legal about what happened at the southern border? Receipts: Biden's 'catch and release' border policy struck down by US judge How many migrants are receiving Social Security numbers? How non-citizens are getting voter registration forms across the US — and how Republicans are trying to stop it How Undocumented Immigrants Sometimes Receive Medicaid Treatment 5 Key Facts About Immigrants and Medicaid2 points

You are living in a country with more freedom, wealth ad opportunity than anyone who who ever lived before you, even if you are a brown person or new immigrant, which none of you are. Yet you carry on that it is a broken mess and everything is horrible. You f*cking ingrates! It is not the Liberals fault you are unable to improve your own lot and believe that fixing things means tearing them down and taking away opportunities from someone else. That's your own failing. Take the opportunity to educate yourself on basic political policy so you too do not end up utterly condemning communism and then praising some of it's end results while actually believing conservative policy would achieve those same things. Remember only a few ears ago you were condemning Justin for praising China's ability to do quickly the very thing you're now waving about as an accomplishment. Hypocritical ingrates.2 points

Never happened LMAO you are so out of touch. It is an objective fact of history that congress received forged electoral certificates for several states indicting a Trump rather than Biden win and that these certificates were created by Republican operatives in those states not the state officials responsible for certifying their election count Absolutely happened. Again this is an objective fact of history, such as his infamous call to Georgian official Raffensburger. “ All I need is 11,780 votes, just say you found 11,780 votes” and suggesting anyone who doesn’t is going to be prosecuted for election fraud. The sham lawsuits clearly had absolutely no merit in fact or legal argument, did not meet even the basic legal standard for bringing forward to a court of law and several lawyers involved were eventually sanctioned for misconduct as a result, some losing their license. 1) Democts did nothing of the sort in 2016 2) the constitution requires that congress certify the election on January 6, period. There is no provision under the constitution to do it on any other date. By attempting to prevent certification on Jan 6, an unprecedented constitutional crisis with no clear resolution would have occurred if Republicans had been successful in preventing certification on Jan 6, which was their goal in order to proclaim the Biden win null and void and that Trump must remain office indefinitely until some sort of resolution could be found. There’s a reason the rally was held on Jan 6 near the Capitol and not some other date or other location, that’s not coincidence In fact rhetoric from Trump and the other supporters during and in the leaduup to the rally was notably violent ; ”you got to go to the streets and be as violent as Antifa.”” “we’re coming for you and we’re going to have a good time doing it!” “let’s have trial by combat.” “We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” Prior to Jan 6 Trump refused multiple recommendations from his own staff to use the word “peaceful” in any of his tweets and statements about the upcoming rally as staff were concerned that it could become violent Trump said the word “peacefully” ONCE in his speech which was written by his writers But the speech said the word “fight” more than 20 times and he ad-libbed it in his remarks 18 more times Even after Trump learned that hos minions had breached the Capitol rather than de-escalate he continued to tweet incendiary comments about how their country had been stolen and how Mile Pence had betrayed them and America Even if we give Trump credit he doesn’t deserve and assume that he didn’t intend for a mob of his brainwashed zealots to attack the Capitol, it was definitely foreseeable and a massive act of negligence and incompetence on his part Heres a little thought exercise you can do in the future: rather than pretend every egregious thing Trump does is totally normal and a nothingburger, try to imagine how you would react if Hillary, Obama or Biden had doe it instead. I highly doubt that if it was Biden and his supporters who had been committing those acts you would be ok with it.2 points

The point is that, as usual, you are talking about things you don't remotely understand. Your premise that "libbies cause so much inflation" is obviously false. This from the guy who posted ass porn for like 3 weeks straight. Kid you have already set that bar solo there is nothing I can do to beat you. So instead I point and laugh and mock you and play along and insult you back when you're insulting and have fun with it Nobody here takes you seriously. you behave like a 13 year old If you want to be taken seriously and treated with respect then first off you have to show respect to others and second off you can't have a hissy fit meltdown every single time someone points out that you're wrong. Because you're wrong a fair bit. And while you're at it maybe fix that, that would help a lot. I mean every once in a blue moon when you're actually making an effort you'll come up with some points that are sometimes interesting. It's not like I've never put a positive emoji on any of your posts. But most of your stuff is just pure I'll drive and you can't go around insulting other people and their families and then pretend to be outraged and horrified that someone insulted your family. You can't post ass porn for weeks and then pretend you're not the most disgusting poster here. You set the bar, other people are following. If you think things aren't looking great then go look in a mirror.2 points

Turns out “elbows up” means reducing tariffs on American imports to near zero. Despite all the rhetoric from Mark Carney and the Liberals, a new report shows that Canada has effectively eliminated tariffs on most goods. Oxford Economics, a global advisory firm, looked into the matter and found tariffs are nullified by exemptions and suspensions to effectively mean the tariffs are either gone or near zero in most cases. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/lilley-carney-dropped-most-tariffs-the-day-after-meeting-trump/ar-AA1EVzpu?cvid=c987a88a9b764428b91bc4a7c1b20089&ocid=bingnews Most are gone except for groceries.
