  3. Trump attacked Islamic Republic not Iran. And this will continue until this cancerous organ is removed from the body of this planet. Trump is acting on his promised. He promised to punish anyone who kills the protesters in Iran and this murderous regime killed over 50,000 peaceful defenseless protesters many children and women among them. Trump said help is on its way and he kept his promise. The world will be a much better place, both safer and more prosperous after this cancerous regime is gone. So stop spreading lies and nonesense. Long Live Trump Long Live USA Long Live Israel.

  5. In the American context, this lesson has been taught many, many times through history, by many different presidents. It is in the job description. Might does not make right...it just makes. Iran's luck just ran out with this combination of sitting U.S. president and Israeli prime minister. Iran was given a warning shot last year, but continued to fool around and find out. International or domestic U.S. federal law would not/cannot protect them...only defensive/offensive enforcement can do that.

  7. Aaron Spencer, dad who killed daughter’s alleged molester, wins Republican primary for Lonoke County Sheriff The back story is that some asshoòle raped Aaron's daughter. Aaron killed him, but not until after the asshòle made bail. Then Aaron ran for sheriff....AND WON! Aaron thinks his defense will win, but his defense is it is ok to kill a child rapist. That clearly is not the law. Nor should it be. So Aaron will be convicted and not be sheriff. The big statement here is that voters want action. What Aaron did was illegal and should be. But it got the job done. And voters wanted that.

  10. In addition to being the least qualified person to ever hold the job, our "Secretary of War," is a fundamentalist Christian nationalist and follower of certified nutball pastor Doug Wilson. He's also tatted up with extremist icons and phrases tied directly to Christian nationalism--and indeed echo the cries of medieval crusaders. And now his military leadership are telling troops that... well, read for yourselves. Newsweek Some U.S. military leaders are telling troops that the Iran war is part of "God's divine plan" featuring President Donald Trump and Jesus, according to a religious freedom advocacy group. In response to Newsweek's request for comment on the matter, the Pentagon talked about Trump's action in Iran. Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said the nonprofit group has received more than 200 complaints from roughly 50 military installations since Saturday involving reports of U.S. commanders linking Christianity to the "biblically sanctioned" war in Iran. "This morning our commander opened up the combat readiness status briefing by urging us to not be 'afraid' as to what is happening with our combat operations in Iran right now," one complaint reads. "He urged us to tell our troops that this was 'all part of God’s divine plan' and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He said that 'President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.'" All of that is objectively insane, but it's also not a joke. With this nonsense going on, are we any different than jihadists and crusaders? And do these nutters not recognize that contextualizing our military action as a holy war (in addition to being unAmerican) invites escalation and reprisal not just from Iran, but from the rest of the Islamic world? Are we not just becoming exactly what radical terrorists have accused us of being? Are we not just legitimizing more terrorism?

  11. He prefers China to the US. He said they are more reliable than the US. He said, specifically, our economic relationship with the US is over. We all know we have to do some trade with the US. But Carney clearly would be happy if we were able to completely cut them out of the picture. I'm not saying I agree with him. I'm saying this is what he has desperately been trying to drum into Canadians' heads. And he's been largely successful at it.

  12. I understand your point, but captain and crew of IRIS Dena knew damn well they were at war and a legitimate target as a warship....as a "man-of-war". There should have been no debate on the bridge about this reality. I will say that there is no wholesale joy in sending fellow sailors to the bottom, because we know that could be our fate as well. But this is the nature of sailing warships...always has been. Live torpedoes on a submarine are called "warshots"....we hang signs on the torpedo tube breech doors stating as much. It is very serious business to attack another ship with a submarine launched heavyweight torpedo...hasn't been done since the Falklands War in 1982 to my knowledge (HMS Conquerer sunk ARA General Belgrano (ex US cruiser) with large loss of life. Full disclosure....I was a submarine weapons officer back in the early-mid 1980's. Slept with Mk14, Mk37 and Mk48 torpedoes for years...only fired exercise variants for training and certification. Remember...these weapons can fail and destroy own ship...serious business.

  17. Indeed...wars are not about having a fair fight. Besides it didn't take a military genius to figure out that the U.S. was massing forces in the region, not only to apply pressure for nuclear weapons negotiations, but to wage unrepentant war as required. A lower level state of conflict already existed anyway...Iran failed to read the room correctly. As for the War Powers Act, that was a political process prompted by the Vietnam War and domestic responses, technically for the deployment of ground troops. All presidents since have waged war (acts of war) mostly without any such approvals, including President Obama. Wars are not good, but they can be very necessary: " War is the continuation of politics by other means"— Carl von Clausewitz

  19. You didn't seem too bothered by the fact that 20-30 thousand Iranians were killed by their own government, certainly not compared to how angry you were about the casualties in Gaza(and not Israeli casualties from Oct 7) after a few years of intense urban warfare.

  20. Seriously....are you really this oblivious or just playing along as that in this forum? Show me one comment where Carney or anyone involved in the US negotiations has said we don't want to continue our trade and security relationship with them. Of course Canada wants to trade with the US.....that's a given and factually what we need to do. Your political bias has you imagining and/or embellishing the reality of what's actually happening...

  21. TBH, I can't imagine a more ridiculous concept than "all 535 people in congress (or 453 congressmen or 100 senators) need to vote on a war before the US attacks anyone" 😂 Might as well just make a rule that the US needs to offer a formal declaration and then give the other side a week to get prepared before they attack, because there is a 100% chance that Omar, Tlaib, and Jefferies would all have given Iran a heads-up before the attack. "Look how well prepared the Iranians are this time! So many more Americans are dying. This is what I call a real war: it's way more fair!" - Chuck Schumer & AOC If the Japanese had to consult US congress before they attacked America, then that would make sense, but I'm pretty sure no one's gonna do that. Wars have happened by surprise for thousands of years, and the element of surprise is very beneficial. You just admitted that there was a conflict. Also, Iran has been threatening the US and Israel with death for generations. Their arsenal was 99% offensive in nature. If I threatened to punch you in the face for 10 weeks straight, and then you started a fight with me one day, could I really call it unprovoked? Would a judge go for that?

  27. There is nothing to twist. They're consistently our second largest trading partner and you only have a problem with it because of your political bias. This could be made up fairly easy by other trading partners... LOL, don't be a fool! We trade ~125B annually while exporting ~35B...who exactly is going to 'make that up fairly easily'? What a fool.... Your TDS is shining through.... I can see why you support Poilievre. The US wants Canada to be a reliable parter....how fùcking uninformed are you? 30. The governments agree to trade parameters but it's companies that trade with each other, not the governments. Most any business is going to put their morals aside with China and India if they can trade product/materials and dollars if there is a benefit for their business. They're trading not dating. I get the US stats.... and nobody has alienated or suggested we stop dealing with them because realistically we can't. Negotiations with an erratic 80 year old are supposed to be uncomfortable so if they're not folding, good on them.

  31. They came into being in order to form a framework. Think back to the constitution of America for example. This is the founding document and explains why they came together, look at the preamble We the people, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice and promote domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, propose the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty That's why they did it. They created a nation and founded a constitution to create a framework for law order and for the provision to protect these things from others who would try to take them away But without that framework there is no basis for any law. If two guys are just living in the woods they can make agreements as to what they're going to do or not do but there cannot be a law. By what power would the law exist? If one were going to sue the other for breech of 'law', to what authority would he appeal? And what legislative framework would he say that law exists under? There's none. No. Always between recognized and about nations. Somebody stood forward and said I represent these people. But your sidestepping the point, the issue is the creation of law Conquest brings someone else under your law by force, but you still have a nation that is a framework for those laws. You can't have law without a national framework whether it's on the scale of a city or a continent. Otherwise there is no framework for the law. It has never happened in history, it can't happen. Before there can be law, there MUST be the formation of a nation that will provide the framework for those laws, it's enforcement and usually it's defense. otherwise, there's no law, there's just strong personal opinions on stuff.

  35. I don't know what Carney said, but if Trump didn't like it, then Carney will be back-peddling 24 hrs later as always, right, robo? How many times in a row do you have to see the exact same f'ing thing happen before you recognize a pattern? More importantly: IF CANADA THREATENS TO CUT OIL SHIPMENTS TO THE US DURING A F'ING WAR, QUICKLY GO CHANGE THE FLAG ON THE FRONT OF YOUR BICYCLE TO THE STARS AND STRIPES BEFORE THE TANKS GET TO YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD, BECAUSE THREATENING US OIL SUPPLIES RIGHT NOW IS TANTAMOUNT TO AN ACT OF WAR. Also: A MEMO FROM CARNEY WOULDN'T CHANGE A F'ING THING INTERNATIONALLY BECAUSE EVERYONE ON EARTH KNOWS THAT CARNEY WILL JUST BE DOING TRUMP'S BIDDING AS FAST AS TRUMP CAN HIT "MENTAL MIDGET" ON HIS SPEED DIAL. Your theory about our dollar going up was literally ret4rded. The facts are as follows: Oil/gas/LNG exports from Iran and other countries that rely on passing through the Strait of Hormuz are down. When global supply sharply drops, that means that oil prices go up. Get it? If the price of oil, gas and LNG are up, what does that do for the bottom line of countries that export those things? The US dollar is up too, and how could that be if hero Carney was really stickin' it to them, dummy? This would be a GREAT time for Canada to have more pipeline, refinery, and extraction capacity, but we don't, because our LPoC gov'ts screwed us royally over the last ten+ years. It's like if we almost bought a house before prices shot up, but we didn't. Again, NOTHING good that happens in Canada is EVER the result of anything that the LPoC is doing.

It’s not a procurement project in the traditional sense, explained Lieutenant-Colonel Cory Durant, the initiative’s chief planner with the Directorate of Land Requirements (DLR), but rather a comprehensive approach to “rapidly move the Army towards the adoption of small-form uncrewed systems.” … https://canadianarmytoday.com/drone-army-new-initiative-to-accelerate-small-uncrewed-systems/ As for now, The troops in Latvia have Switchblade Kamikazes, or at least they have already been ordered, not sure if they’re delivered yet.

  42. You don’t get to make up accusations amd rhen say “you have zero evidence it didn’t happen” that’s not how it works Also we’re not talking about Brookfield we’re talking about the ridiculous claim that he has some vested interest in Lockheed Martin specifically because it was one of the hundreds of stock that his investment manager had put in his portfolio in the past even though carney would not know if it’s there because now it’s in a blind trust And another thing: there is absolutely nothing unique or unusual or inappropriate about Carney owning stocks Most if not all of your favourite politicians own stocks too In fact given Carney’s impeccable reputation and resume which includes being lauded by Stephen Harper who still considers him a friend, Carney is probably the LEAST likeliest person to make inappropriate decisions for personal gain

  43. This reads with some implication of blame on Carney. The US and Canada have been fast friends, aligned and allied culturally, economically and militarily. Then, along comes Trump, mocking you culturally, attacking you economically, and threatening your sovereignty. The question isn't how could Carney look for new allies, it's how could he not? Do Canadian conservatives all suffer from battered spouse syndrome? When a partner betrays you so fundamentally, it's time to look elsewhere. This rift is tragic, but it's not Carney's fault, it's Trump's.

  45. We aren't ruled by the British Crown, we're ruled by the Canadian Crown, and have been since 1953. They are 2 entirely separate and equal legal entities. The British Crown acts in accordance to the will of the British Parliament and we're no longer legally linked to the British Parliament or British Crown since we are now a fully sovereign country legally and politically. Unless you were born before 1947 you weren't born a British subject if you were born in Canada, you were born a Canadian citizen. Unless you were born before 1953 in Canada you were never ruled by the British Crown. If you swore an oath to Queen Elizabeth after 1953 you would have sworn an oath to the Queen of Canada, not the Queen of the UK. An oath is a legal contract, so the next time you agree to a contract you should read the terms more carefully so you understand it properly. These changes occurred because Canadian soldiers, including anglo British and Quebecois, fought bravely and proudly together during WWII and wanted more national independence from Britain after the war. You dishonor them because you want to reverse it all. The British Empire is dead and buried, get over it, or move to Britain. All the Brit ex-pats living in Canada i've encountered over the years who think we're still a part of the British Empire are as delusional as you are.
