We have been berated, lectured, and browbeaten for decades about never judging groups, especially racial/ethnic groups in a bad way. It comes from school, from regulations at workplaces, from TV and hollywood and the government. The worst evil you can show is believing your group is in any way better than some other group. So saying Muslims should not come here draws gasps of horror. But that comes from people who have read virtually nothing about Islam. Or who handwave it away with "the bible has bad parts too!" or who believe that, just like them, Muslims don't take their religion seriously. This is a religion that actually says it's okay to lie to infidels, that you can take from infidels. That you have a right to take from them, including their lands, their valuables, and their women. Women, to the Muslim world, to the Quran, are not actually so much people as they are possessions. And by the way, the term 'infidel' is mistranslated for lazy Western eyes. It's 'kaffir', and that isn't just someone who doesn't believe in Islam, it's someone who rejects God. A kaffir is someone who is so steeped in their arrogance and evil that they reject God! There's almost nothing worse. In the Muslim world, that's a fighting word. Call someone a kaffir, and the brawl is on. Calling it 'unbeliever' does not convey the level of sheer contempt for such a person. Anyway, Muslims have been fighting and clawing at everyone who ISN'T a Muslim for about 1400 years now. Some of the worst slaughters in known history have occurred from Muslim attacks on India and Asia. They kept pushing and pushing West until Constantinople fell, then they kept pushing all the way to the gates of Vienna before being thrown back. And now Europe has invited them in. And there's no sign they've changed.3 points

I know that you believe that what you just said is true, but to be honest not only is it not true but it appears to be getting less true every day. Britain France and a number of the other members are realizing that they can't be beholden to the united states And sure, creating and maintaining nuclear weapons is expensive. Weren't you the one that suggested we should be spending more on our military? And a weapon that prevents a war is a million times more effective than a weapon that can only be used after a war starts. Humans have known that for thousands of years now. Si vis paceum para bellum. A phrase so old and accepted that we named a bullet after it2 points

The idea that Trump and MAGA are “moderate” because they occasionally stumble into positions that sound less extreme doesn’t magically erase the broader pattern. Every rising authoritarian movement has a few policies that look centrist on paper. Mussolini built public works projects. Franco liked trains. That didn’t make them moderates. The real tell isn’t the policy menu — it’s the behavior. And MAGA’s behavior reads like a greatest‑hits compilation of classic authoritarian moves: Delegitimizing elections Casting political opponents as existential threats Demanding loyalty to a single leader over institutions Flooding the zone with conspiracy theories Painting any accountability as persecution Insisting only they represent “the real people” That’s not centrism. That’s the preface to every “How It Started” documentary about collapsing democracies. (And when a guy starts renaming shit after himself and wants to put his own face on Mt. Rushmore you know it's not about the country. You know we're in trouble.) If anything, the pattern we’re seeing — the leader‑worship, the grievance‑fueling, the mythologizing of a lost national greatness, the insistence that only one movement represents the “true nation” — lines up with the historical rise of authoritarian right‑wing regimes far more than anything happening on the left. But hey, if someone wants to cosplay as the reasonable middle while marching in lockstep behind a guy who tried to overturn an election, that’s their business. Just don’t expect the rest of us to pretend the costume is convincing.2 points

A. It is, actually. You can slice and dice it into more stages, but that's the journey. B. It's not created to mimic MAGA, it's just the playbook MAGA is using. Good on you for spotting the similarity though.2 points

Do you think it has come to the point where GB, or France would be willing to upset the US by giving Canada access to nuclear weapons or components...I think Trump would flip his wig, and tariff the crap out of them....that alone might give them pause...Britain more than France has dependency on US military forces in GB...another thought that may influence GB to tow the line...France is a wild card...but even they are or could be influenced by at least tariffs... Your right i have been a huge fan of investing more into our military....Nuclear weapons offer very little protection or hard military power unless you have enough of them. and is a weapon of last resort...conventional armies will be what gives other nations pause or reconsider their actions....having both puts you in a different league all to together. https://www.icanw.org/what_about_nuclear_deterrence_theory Your statement of a weapon that can prevent wars is more effective than a weapon that can only be used after a war starts....One could say that about conventional forces as well, if they are large enough and well equipped they do provide deterrence, hence why NATO is being pushed to increase it's conventional forces bigger is better in most cases...there is a few examples of nuclear armed countries being attack, Israel has several instances where it has been attacked but refrained form using its own nuclear forces...China and the US over in Korea...both nuclear countries Faught a long protracted war with each other...Having Nuclear arms has also emboldened some countries into doing what ever they want....take a look at Russia in Ukraine, it gives or highlights your side of the debate, Russia has threatened other nuclear armed countries of interfering with it's war in Ukraine militarily anyways....making that conflict last much longer than it needs to....And Russia is a huge example of Crazy in crazy town...one nation that would more than likely use WMD of provoked.... Once Nuclear weapons are used mankind will be fighting the next war with sticks and stones....if he exists at all...1 point

No, it is a religion that says it is okay to KILL infidels not just lie to. Yeah you can take their lives. No muslims believing in terrorism, fundamentalist muslims who hate western culture, lacking respect for women, not believing in democracy, etc. should not be allowed to come here because if you inject cancer cells into your body, you catch cancer. They will kill the country. Look what is happening in Europe, It is only 10% muslim population. Imagine what would happen if it was God forbid, over 50%.1 point

Lol...so pathetic. @John Johnston and all "Libbies". Point of order, if I may. 1. Why is it that you people prefer to have your women do the fighting for you? One woman is already dead. How many will satisfy your demons? 2. Why are children welcome at your freakout sessions? Are y'all fcking stupid? 3. It really appears you want war with the POTUS in particular and the entire nation in general. Here's one of your heros now...being dealt with. But I have to tell you...you will lose. Just as Kyle here has lost. I can say this with relative confidence because...what these people are doing is following the edicts of men like Kyle. So again...to punctuate this question; Is it war you want?1 point

I don't like the Liberals. But unlike Trudeau, Carney is a normal, boring politician who is economically literate and not obsessed with tribal identity politics or his own self-image. He seems consistent and reliable. So far I'm happy with Carney. He makes PP and JT look like childish amateurs, and he's barely been on the job long. His decision-making ability has been solid. Every PM since at least Chretien (sans Martin, too short) has been quite arrogant. Hopefully Carney doesn't let the power go to his head.1 point

You only what you know and you haven't got a clue. You said he'd be the bestest PM in Canada's history. Carney would have had won a majority then. Like I said, you're welcome. I have no doubt the 1 percenters would still pull ahead even faster under PP...unless he broke some sort of promise to them like Harper did to ordinary people when it came to protecting their wealth. My guess is they're hoping they'll do the same thing in Quebec that they did in BC. After the hullabaloo Quebec put up over asbestos you'd think forcing the people of Quebec to accept higher more toxic emissions of arsenic would be a snap. They probably expect stiff resistance from people on the ground where these projects would land as well as from the provincial, municipal, regional district and first nations governments who represent them. You're dreaming if you think this can be accomplished easily. Why, you'd almost need a government that was willing to impose mandates to get anything done.1 point

Initial Creation of Fascist Movements: This stage involves the emergence of fascist movements, often in response to social unrest, economic instability, or perceived threats to national identity. These movements typically capitalize on public discontent and utilize charismatic leadership to attract followers. Rooting as Political Parties: In this stage, fascist movements transition into organized political parties capable of influencing the political landscape. This often occurs when the existing political system is weak or unable to address the needs of the populace, allowing fascist parties to gain traction and legitimacy. Acquisition of Power: Here, fascist parties seek to gain control of the government, often through elections, alliances with conservative factions, or even violent means. This stage is marked by strategic maneuvering to consolidate power and eliminate opposition. Exercise of Power: Once in power, fascist regimes implement their ideologies through legislation, propaganda, and state control of various aspects of society. This stage often involves the suppression of dissent, militarization of society, and the promotion of nationalistic and xenophobic sentiments. Radicalization or Entropy: In the final stage, fascist regimes may either become more radical in their policies, leading to increased repression and conflict, or they may face decline and fragmentation due to internal contradictions, loss of public support, or external pressures. 2 These stages illustrate the complex and dynamic nature of fascism as it evolves from grassroots movements to authoritarian regimes, highlighting the socio-political conditions that facilitate its rise and sustain its power. Understanding these stages can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of fascism and its impact on society.1 point

You need to learn how to read for comprehension. Reality: nothing changed. Now that our GDP is exceeding 5%, it is changing for the better. That is why they are putting their money in the US. Under Biden, FDI was $5.7t. Last year, it was $3.6t. In one year, Trump increased FDI from under $200b to $3.6t. Tell me again how the rest of the world thinks our brand is damaged.1 point

Buddy, that's Canada. 1) Our gov't used covid to restrict Canadians' freedoms, freeze bank accounts, and even force people to take dangerous injections that they didn't need 2) our national broadcaster joined forces with TNI, a global disinformation network with control of social media giants that limited the freedom of speech of dissidents. (Twitter was part of that until Musk ripped it out of there) 3) consolidation of political power here came from control of the media and social media. Our govt spent billions of taxpayer dollars bribing CBC and other media outlets over the past 4 elections. 4) CBC and teh LPoC are propaganda masters. They convinced Canadians that BLM were peaceful protesters, which is patently ret4rded, and that the Freedom Convoy was a violent, destructive riot, by showing 4 things: 1. a spot where someone had urinated in the snow, 2. a sign that was put in the hand of a Terry Fox statue, 3. a picture of a girl standing on the pedestal of a war memorial, and 4, an alleged verbal argument between two random people and a protester that wasn't caught on video. That's it. Somehow Canadians were convinced by our MSM propagandists that those 4 small, isolated, minor, and possibly even fictional events constituted proof that the entire Freedom Convoy was violent and destructive. 5. Our LPoC has been slandering and denigrating conservatives with lies about atrocities against FN's children, blaming all the MMIW cases against whites, the hijab hoax, doubling down on their accusations of racism by Canadians after the hijab hoax was outed, and Trudeau even going so far as to call the unvaxed "racists and misogynists".1 point

Of course, the argument is "Not all Muslims". Unfortunately for that argument, the experience of every other country that has taken in masses of Muslims, is that when their numbers are large enough they start demanding Sharia law courts, ethnic enclaves become "no-go" zones, white women start getting raped in larger & larger numbers and lose the safety of walking the streets unharassed, Islamic calls to prayer start blaring in the early morning hours, Halal foods start getting subsidized, Sharia banking is brought in, they demand more and more immigration from their countries. No matter how much you think Mohammed at work is "a really nice guy", when push comes to shove, man's innate instinct for tribalism takes over and he will, if not outright support Muslim takeovers, at least say nothing about it. The Muslims who do speak out and do report radicalization in their mosques are rare.1 point

Because the Liberals made it impossible to complete the project. Ya, ding-dong. That's the point. 🙄 The "investor uncertainty" was regulatory and political opposition. They publicly stated they withdrew because the environment in Canada made it impossible to complete major energy infrastructure projects. the Liberal gov't caused delay after delay after delay. Delays cost money. When Kinder Morgan asked for assurances there would be no further delays, the government refused to provide them.1 point

Riiiiight. Describe for us how they do that, John. I can describe three ways that the Dems and their rioters put children in harm's way: They are letting rapists and pedophiles and murderers go free. Not a lot of other people do that, just FYI. instead of notifying ICA agents that they are about to release illegals immigrants who are pedophiles, wife-beaters, rapists and murderers, so that ICE can come and apprehend them while they are just waiting in a cell and unarmed, the Demis let all of those violent felons go. That means that ICE agents who need to apprehend them now have to go into homes or places of work to arrest them, where the fugitives can be armed, they can be surrounded by gang members, and in any of those scenarios there could be children present the Demis are bringing their children to violent riots where things are being thrown at agents, and where agents will likely have to use tear gas to keep control. And tear gas has been used there on multiple occasions. So: the people bringing those children there know that 1) crimes will committed there, and that means that 2) the likelihood of teargas being used is very high. IT IS A CONSCIOUS DECISION FOR THOSE PEOPLE TO BRING THEIR CHILDREN THERE, WHERE THEY WILL BE LIKELY EXPOSED TO TEAR GAS. I can also describe ways that ICE agents are keeping women and children safe: they are arresting pedophiles that the Dems have released back into the community to harm innocent civilians they are arresting rapists that the Dems have released back into the community to harm innocent civilians they are arresting wife beaters that the Dems have released back into the community to harm innocent civilians Now that I have accurately described several ways that ICE is keeping women and children safe, and how the Dems are putting children in harm's way, it's time for you to describe for us even one way that ICE agents are "putting women and children in harms way"? Don't whine about your assignment, B, you're the one who said that they are doing it, so tell us then. How are they doing it? You ran your mouth and made the accusation, but you never showed us any proof of it.1 point
