  1. This was a very brilliant speech in which Carney demonstrated command. I have to admit that it was a courageous call to action, but I hope Canadians and our leaders do some soul-searching as to how we let our plight get to this point. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JtF630gnvZQ

  2. Conservative complaints sound like: "Biden can't speak English anymore, healthy young adults are being forced to take a dangerous jab that doesn't work, inflation is soaring, debt is soaring, interests rates are soaring, tens of millions of unvetted illegals are pouring across the border", etc... Leftist complaints sound like: "We think that Trump colluded with Russia but we don't have any evidence, we think that Trump was still friends with Epstein after 2003 but we don't have any evidence, we think that Trump exaggerated his net worth on a loan that he paid off 15 years ago, too many child-sodomizers are being arrested!" Who's right-wing and who's wrong?

  4. DHS agent shoots at man during Los Angeles County immigration operation According to a DHS spokesperson, federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Compton at 7:05 a.m. when the suspect made a "dangerous attempt to evade arrest." ********** This is what happens when the left tries to claim ramming officers is just fine and self defense shots are not allowed. People are dumb enough to believe them and use their cars as weapons thinking they have immunity.

  6. It was a good and historically significant speech that demonstrated Carney’s ability and statesmanship. However, there are good reasons for the rise of populism and the cynicism about globalism and the elites who have pushed net zero and identity politics goals that the West can’t afford in a context of collapsing birth rates and other rising powers. Carney has to address Canada’s naivety in this environment.

  7. Good thing we rush when a mass epidemic hits. Remember when we lived in hope of a vaccine in 5 years? They'd just be rolling it out now. Think about that in light of how much you kicked and screamed in the face of pandemic measures. Millions upon millions of people were saved and life started returning to normal that much sooner. In any case mRNA technology research has been around for 60 years, experimental mRNA vaccines have been around for 35 years and trials on humans started in 2001.

  8. I see the Washington Post played to the typical American delusion that everything is about them and headline an article that Carney's trade deal with China was to troll Donald Trump. No not all leaders use their position to solely benefit themselves. Just yours.

  9. Yes it was. Followed by Donnie the Dick spouting the usual BS about how we wouldn't exist without them. Same story we've heard forever. Oh Thank You USA for single handedly saving us from the Germans and the Japanese, then the Russians and the NDP in prosperous provinces. Have next year's Grey Cup. Too bad the rest of the delegates didn't have the guts of the Danish PM and tell you to F*ck right off,

  12. I find it's very common on this board for certain posters to just quickly Google an opposite view and post it. They don't actually put any thought into evaluating opposing information. They don't think for themselves by considering how information fits into what is already known. In fact, a lot of them out-right refuse to read anything that is not their preferred narrative.

  15. It'll be allowed to see the evidence but they were interfering with the end the eyes investigation so the FBI is investigating first. But there's absolutely nothing to stop the local police from continuing their own investigations. So no, you're wrong. Nobody's brushing anything under the rug. They're investigating and they will report once the investigation is done on that report will be public. Meanwhile local police can absolutely still investigate on their own. That whole movie business of fBI jurisdiction and such is kind of bullshit What are you talking about? Biden lost the election It's amazing how your kind insists that it's not possible for the doj to be corrupt or used politically when it's your guy in power but it's insist that it was instantly corrupted and is totally political when the next guy takes over.

  16. "The 2023 study details the findings of a 2018 expedition to the region by scientists from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the California Institute of Technology and their discovery of the highest helium-3/helium-4 ratios on Earth so far — between 65 and 69 times the atmospheric ratio." So in Baffin island, they've found concentrations in lava flows between 65-69 times the atmospheric ratio (of 1.37 parts per million)? Do you understand how that math works? Do you understand that trying to harvest microscopic, barely measurable pockets of gas from rocks and crystals isn't actually a realistic idea, and that nobody anywhere is proposing to do it? Use your brain and think about that for a minute.

  17. You do realize that this is almost certainly AI-generated click-bait, right? The person talking in the video doesn't even look real. Most of the Earth's helium-3 is locked 3000km below the Earth's surface, with tiny trace amounts leaking as a gas to the surface through the ocean and lava and/or getting frozen deep in ice. For perspective, the Moon is considered a more realistic source for plentiful He-3 fuel. This information isn't hidden or secret. You could read at length about it if you wanted, and the wealth of available information on this would do you a lot better than AI-slop from Youtube. Regardless, the technology to actually contain and sustain plasma-state reactions (regardless of fuel source), is still likely decades away. This is the more important point.

  19. If those Europeans have some brains left, I think they should start playing the game with the new rules DT has implemented in the game. What do I mean? They should seize on the opportunity to capture him and put him in jail, then sue him for extortion and war crimes. They should ask him to hand over Alaska to either Canada or Russia - his choice in exchange for being released. If he is unhappy, they should reduce his prisoner ration of food by 10% each day. If no deal is reached by June 15th, they should simply execute him in public. This will teach the World what democracy is.

  20. All anyone needs to know about Davos is that Carney stole the show with epic and eloquent speech for the history books that got a rare standing ovation, while trump as expected when on a meandering batshit lie-filled racist rant, a “corollary” of his earlier UN performance. Then TACO chickened out of his Greenland invasion AND tariff threats, his excuse being a vague reference to some secret “framework” for a potential future agreement with the NATO secretary (notably not Greenland or Denmark or anyone else) which he said satisfactory. Total 100% reversal of his recent statements about annexation being non-negotiable. The real reason of course is because European institutions started selling off US bonds and the market tanked just like on “Liberation Day” when TACO chickened out of those tariffs. Trump’s threats to invade and annex terror from his allies is what creates fear of Trump. Carney’s speech was 100% accurate and applied to all hegemons including CHINA and Russia not just Trump

  21. Naah.... He does not really hate us. He just wants to take advantage of us, any way he can. If he can squeeze a few billions more for himself, that's good ; if he can grab the whole country with its vast landmass and resources for his cronies , that's even better.

  22. It is designated for the Trump library after he's out of office. But that doesn't mean it will be on display (unflyable) like the 727 in Reagan's library. Pretty sure Trump plans it for personal use as long as he can get donors to pay for the maintenance and fuel. You an lDIOT that believes the POTUS working for foreign benefactors is ETHICAL? We know you Canucks would throw a fit if Carney was doing anything 1/10th as CORRUPT.

  24. Including results for are there mineable deposits of the-3 on earth? Search only for are there mineable deposits of he-3 on earth? AI Overview No, there are no significant, economically mineable deposits of Helium-3 (He-3) on Earth . Helium-3 is extremely rare in the Earth's crust, with the total accessible amount estimated to be only in the range of 100 kg to a few tonnes, which is not commercially viable to extract. 🤡🤡🤡

  25. Don't worry boys The same corporations that convinced you that the most abundant element in the universe is too expensive to run your car while getting you to accept that 355ml of water is worth $3 will convince you He3 is worthless if Canada has the largest supply. They say there may be large deposits on the Moon so likely China rill beat them to that.

  29. No doubt. Women's rights, birth control and other factors are reducing fertility rates ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_fertility_rate Only 43% of ALL countries in the list have a fertility rate to grow population. Increasing production via birthing... no longer an option.

  30. It doesn't seem like you understood any of my claims in the first place. The fact that higher concentrations of helium-3 were discovered on Baffin Island years ago doesn't change the fact that they're still microscopic trace amounts and not even remotely viable for mining or harvesting. I'm not sure how you think this challenges anything I've said, but then I'm also not sure how you keep falling for click-bait on Youtube.

  35. In the 'new' World order it is likely (??) the power will be with 3 players; China, U.S., Russia Let us put the U.N. / General Assembly / Security Council aside for a moment. Arguably China and Russia are forging closer ties. In terms of strategy and from a position of strength (economic/military) u really only want 2 chairs on the stage. Nixon had the right idea - but it became something on steroids yeah, ya gotta be a skilled/ experienced player in the World of geo-politics / hegemony

  36. The difficulty with foreign policy crafted by old men is that they won't be around to reap the benefits of what they crafted. There is no doubt Trump is sowing the wind (throwing the dice) - the question is to what effect. Global instability does not work for an economic giant like the U.S. Global instability and withdrawal leaves a geo-vacuum, but not for long................ never for long.

  37. Entire states have been doing that by deliberately setting aside federal immigration laws under sanctuary state / city status. Jurisdictions like San Fransisco, LA and New York made a big show of refusing to cooperate with ICE attempts to deport the same hardened criminals you now suggest nobody actually wants to protect. In the fullness of time, I'm wondering if you will oppose the sanctuary concept if/when it's applied (in equal and opposite measure) to a federal law you stand fully in support of. The point being, whether you agree with a federal law or not, it raises a pretty basic question (at least for me).... how do you govern a country when federal laws, enacted under federal authority, are ignored by state and municipal jurisdictions? Imagine the same thing on a similar scale applying to something you actually support, gun control measures are a possible example... would the large scale enactment of 2nd amendment sanctuary jurisdictions designed to thwart future federal firearm regulations be OK with you? Would violent attacks on ATF agents trying to arrest the owners of illegal firearms be OK too?

  38. I usually skim through these threads because I claim no particular expertise in such matters. But, even lacking a modicum of expertise, your blanket assertion caught my attention in a way usually reserved for a 2X4 across the side of the head... as did the notion that Canada's self inflicted mutilation of the industry itself could now be turned into a argument in support of non viability. It's a fascinating exercise in logical absurdity that's on par with the liberal gun grab. I say that because there has to be an alternate explanation and there has to be a motive for using it... otherwise your statement simply makes no sense on the face of it. Would you consider the oil industry in Iraq, Kuwait or the UAE (ever been to Dubai) to be viable? I ask because the thing those countries all have in common is less reserves than Canada. IMO, deliberately strangling something valuable with both hands and then claiming it to be non viable due to asphyxiation seems like a uniquely progressive position. In a logical world, eating all of the chickens shouldn't be used to assert that declining egg production is proof that egg farming can't be considered a viable industry.

  44. Geez, a wannabe Prime Minister of a country and you like the fact he is not internationally aware??? The conservatives themselves have portrayed themselves as scary ....they have nothing to offer...4 elections lost and 3 leaders defeated and the conservatives will most likely keep the leader that has lost twice and even lost his own seat. How could Canadians look at the conservatives as leading the country??? The injury to the conservatives are self inflicted wounds.

  46. There’s a time for partisan debate and a time to put aside those differences and work for the country. This is such a time. We’ve not been under such an existential threat in living memory, certainly not from an ally. Poilievre would be better off at least pretending he’s working with Carney at the moment against Trump, if only to improve his personal numbers.
