  1. It's weird that left4rds suddenly care about cancelled energy projects, and the cost of energy. You'd almost think this has more to do with "cultists looking for a reason to puss and moan about Trump".

  2. I'm very aware of the fact that you can represent yourself in court... but it's a bad idea . Anyone who represents themselves has a fool for a client. This is almost comical, you (like most of us) have no idea how much you don't know in a situation like this... and you're advocating for defending yourself against a prosecutor who actually does know stuff. I sincerely hope no one on the fence listens to a word of your nonsense. Down vote that fool...

  3. I stand in awe... PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: please be advised that the stupidity on display here can ruin your day, If you're on the fence, please ignore nonsense partisan posts, buy the book or do your own research. Not only do you need a lawyer, you need that lawyer before giving a statement on fight night IMO. As I recall, you can't have them present in an interrogation but you can consult with one prior to it. It would be a mistake to think you are simply having a pleasant conversation with the responding officers. Many people have firearm legal insurance (a group retainer sort of thing) that allows 24/7 access by phone. Your milage may vary but I would talk to them before giving any statement. I would also want to avoid giving one while I was shaken (or perhaps injured) and in a state of shock.

  8. "Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling on the federal government to amend the Criminal Code to clarify the reasonable use of force in the face of a high-level threat, such as a home intruder." PP made an announcement yesterday calling on the Carney government to amend the criminal code to remove the long list of requirements placed on residents when defending themselves and their family. Apparently the present law is complicated and very involved and one must be some kind of lawyer to understand it. That must be changed to simplify it and make it understandable for everyone. When a criminal breaks in to a person's home, the victim just doesn't have the time to go through all the complexities of the law to figure out what to do. He simply has to act to do what he can to protect him and his family at that moment. The law presently doesn't work that way. Victims have been charged by police for defending themselves and their family from dangerous offenders armed with a gun or other weapons and have been put through an expensive legal system for many months. Or they have been locked up in jail before finally being exonerated. It is very expensive to have to hire a lawyer to defend yourself and your family just because you were trying to defend yourself when criminals invaded your house. This has to be changed. PP proposal will change the complicated laws that exist now to simplify it and make it more reasonable for someone to defend themselves and their family.

  9. So I see the new UCP/RFK inspired public health policy is now down to Take 2 aspirins, if pain continues die. Alberta will now charge $100 for a Covid shot. The FantaFatAss and Mr. Brainworm want to ban the Covid vax altogether. Nice international policy alignment. We've given licence to the retarded to make the regulations.

  11. " The single most ludicrous thing Trump just said about guns WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 05: U.S. President Donald Trump makes remarks in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House as U.S. Vice President Mike Pence looks on August 5, 2019 in Washington, DC. President Trump delivered remarks on the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images) President Trump delivered a short speech on Monday in which he blamed the internet, video games, mental illness, and the fact that the state does not execute enough people for the two mass shootings that killed more than two dozen people this weekend. The one thing Trump refused to blame was the actual weapons used to murder these individuals. The single most ludicrous thing Trump just said about guns – ThinkProgress Almost everything Trump says is for political purposes. It is to appease his MAGA base. That is a well known fact. So why would we expect him to say anything different about guns? To claim the number of guns and easy availability of guns is not the cause of all the shootings in the U.S. is ludicrous. Any reasonable person would have to say it is definitely the reason.

  12. Or at least he's had a stroke rendering him unable to effectively communicate. He's not spoken to a camera in almost a week, his socials have released old pictures of him pretending their current. AND the current pictures we have seen of him show him gaunt, lifeless and dead-eyed. His socials have also published some out-of-character policy discussion that are actually coherent and well thought out. As if someone that knows how to write, at an adult level, has decided to play Trump. I'm seeing nothing on this discourse in the MSM. Almost like they don't want to be proven wrong, but it's all that's being talked about on Social Media. They should hire Gavin Newsom's social media team to do Trump posts. They have his social media cadence down pat.

  18. The conservatives have twisted minds and lack judgment, and if your brother-in-law comes to take a lawnmower from your yard, you will have the right to kill him, that’s what will happen with their plan or a guy will ask for money from your convenience store’s cash register and the owner will pull out a gun and kill him. CONSERVATIVES ARE spirits THAT COME FROM HELL TO DISGUST US.

  25. What a cheap little fart you are. That was the first line in a post that contained a number of facts. Evidently, those facts were not ones you felt capable of denying, so resort to a cheap ass cut and one-line retort. Go away, you pathetic little twat.

  26. The claim is true (unless we are talking about some accident occurring due to a faulty weapon), and you have made no logical argument to refute this claim. Guns do not just go around killing people. People decide to use guns for that purpose. The same way baseball bats don't beat people and cars don't run people over. A person can beat someone with a baseball bat or use a car to run someone over, but those things do not do it themselves.

  31. Like everything you say and everything that you cite, that was stupid. 1) Climate crisis đŸ˜‚ 2) "uprooting good energy infrastructure" is not actually what that article talks about. He cancelled some shitty energy projects that were in the works, and re-started them along with better ones, but he didn't "uproot" anything that was already completed.

  32. That is not how court goes, nor the entire process. It is many months if not years of depositions, court hearings, motions, bail, and who knows how many thousands of dollars in legal fees. The last time I check in the US, cases like this will take a minimum of 50,000 USD and that isn't even if it gets more complicated and drags out, retrials, appeals, etc...

  33. That's what happens when someone you do ~75% of your trade with hits you with tariffs in an effort to wear you down economically. Too bad we didn't have Poilievre to save us, but it wasn't meant to be.... For what it's worth... Argentina's 5% growth will outpace the US' 1.5% - 1.75%. So the point is.... Argentina is expected to see great growth in 2025?

  37. These are going to increase in frequency IMO because it makes good sense for bad guys to do it this way, meaning via targeted dynamic entries. CQB breaching, clearing and weapon retention techniques are actually on YOUTUBE. I would argue that they never should have been allowed to be.... but that's just me. Since this has clearly become a ridiculously partisan issue, I see no profit in pursuing the matter further. Cheers.

  38. Gee, I dunno. Could it be the crime and disorder in the streets? The shuffling mass of homeless drug addicts? The crumbling streets and bridges? The impossible mass of bureaucracy and red tape that makes it almost impossible to build anything remotely on time or on budget? The open borders we aren't capable of defending? The mass of unintegrated people from third-world shitholes roaming the streets? The healthcare system often WORSE than in the third world? You do realize that we have 3rd world immigrants who live here who go back home to access timely healthcare, right? You know that's a thing, right? How nice for you. My friend has been trying to find a doctor for a year now to treat her multiple issues. So far, no luck. Like 17% of Canadians, she has no family doctor. I myself have one but had to go to Montreal to get some really basic surgery done because there's an 18-month wait list to see a surgeon for non-urgent cases here. The wait times at hospitals are the longest they've ever been. But all you seem to care about is you.

  40. As it was pointed out, the point of these laws is that they create a legal barrier that the prosecutors have to overcome to charge. People's lives are ruined just trying to defend themselves. In the more right-leaning states, this is why they pass stand your ground laws and the like, as it puts the onus on the government to have to overcome legal burdens to charge you, because you have certain presumptions, like the right to defend yourself, instead of YOU having to prove that OMG, did you really do enough to run away? Which is absurd. You see this play out in left leaning states where malicious DA's will do exactly what they did to someone like Kyle Rittenhouse, where we have actual video evidence of the kid running for his life, see people literally attacking him while he is on the ground, and they STILL charge him.

  41. Shady that forum is barely alive. Can you show me where you brought up the Club Q or the Buffalo supermarket shootings over there, or how ~75% of US terror killings over the last decade or so have been committed by white supremacists or anti-government extremists?? I'm willing to be proven wrong, but I suspect this is another case of oblivious hypocrisy.
