@herbie, how many illegal immigrants did you shelter in Canada today? How many illegal immigrants did you help smuggle into Canada today? How many messages did you send to your representatives demanding to open your borders?2 points

The one thing that is distinctive about the current era, is the common expectation that American natural disasters like this will inevitably result in ridiculous finger-pointing and divisive stupidity. Sad, if you care about people... funny if you want them to fail.2 points

No, we all know the riding borders were redrawn. I'm asking what evidence you have that the new areas added were filled with traditional Liberal and NDP supporters? The maps clearly show that a suburban area was removed and a big rural area was added. Rural people tend to lean conservative. Again, show the evidence. This seems like pure speculation on your part. Do you have maps showing where the individual pollings stations in those areas voted? Here, as I suspected, all the rural area added went CPC in 2021 minus 2 polls: https://www.stephentaylor.ca/data/political/canada/federal/election/2021/35041/ And why did voters turn to Carney's Liberals over PP's CPC if they feared Trump? Who was more likely to live inside Trump's butt? Maybe not the guy parroting his campaign slogans and some of his policies? Again, why did voters turn to Carney's Liberals over PP's CPC if they were scared about Trump? Why did they think Carney was was more anti-Trump than PP? The answer is pretty obvious. It's relevant if PP's CPC added 7.6 points while Carney's Liberals added 11. A lot of people changed their votes in 2025 and all of it went to either the CPC or Liberals. Some went to the CPC but most went to the Liberals. LOL I couldn't care less if you think i'm lying. My posting history speaks for itself. And you'd have a lot more success getting me to answer your question if you didn't throw insults at me like a child.2 points

Question for you.... Would you rather see Carney come out of the trade talks with Trump and a path forward that will benefit all of Canada, or would you rather see him fail and our country feel the negative affects of?2 points

(1)Trump sealed the open border between Mexico and America. Trump is now getting rid of all of the criminals and insane people that Joey BiDumb let in by the tens of millions for over four years. Trump is now having to clean up the border mess that BiDumb created. (2) Trump will be eliminating taxes on tips. (3) Trump will be eliminating taxes on overtime. (4) Trump will be eliminating taxes on old age security. (5)Trump will be doing so much more to help Make America Great Again. Contrast that to what Carnage the globalist dictator in Ottawa is planning on doing. (1) Force us all to have to buy EV's. (2) More attacks on freedom of speech like with Bills C11, C18 and C63. (3) Wants to eliminate cash. (4) More government and more taxes. (5) Carnage believes in freezing patriotic conservatives bank and credit card accounts. Carnage had them arrested for daring to express their right to their freedom of assembly and speech. We have a globalist dictator shill in Ottawa who believes that we should be eating bugs rather than steak. Carnage was behind the scenes of the last globalist Marxist dictator in Ottawa attacking freedom loving patriotic conservatives. Want to learn more? Go check out the Juno News or RightEdition website. There you might learn something that can show you what common sense is all about and then hopefully improve your silly ass lieberal life. Just saying. 😁1 point

I'm not gonna waste the effort of finding less accurate words to describe people who lie and slander in almost every single post just for the sake of politeness. I don't understand why more people don't take offence to being lied to, but it's not something that I tolerate. If you don't wanna be called a leftard, be honest. Your "definition" is no more than spurious, unsubstantiated, ridiculous insults. If you look at the Collins definition of leftard, you'll see that it describes the word as just being offensive, which is correct, it doesn't pass judgment without evidence. If you look at the Urban Dictionary result for leftard it's more judgmental, but it also details which members of the leftist group actually qualifies as a leftard and why. It's 100% true that a certain percentage of any group is at least half a bubble off plumb, even conservatives, but you need to provide some examples of what qualifies them when you want to describe them thusly. For example, the word "wingnut" is light for people who believe that "a 12-yr-old who was raped and impregnated by a close relative should have to carry the baby to term because that's what God wants", they're probably beyond f-tarded. As far as our conversation about "leftards and big words" is concerned, it's an ongoing issue here. There are hundreds of posts about it. Maybe 1,000. Leftards just refuse to learn how to use words properly. It's a common trait.1 point

Oh no you don't! The USA...as with pretty much every nation...has "refugee quotas" set yearly. To side-step that, Brandon and that bald-headed criminal Mayorkis, labeled them all "asylum seekers". Fck you and your word games. This is why nobody can trust Libbies anymore.1 point

There are HOV lanes on some highways. They usually fill up during peak periods as well as enforcement is tough. That being said, I drive an EV and EVs are allowed to use these lanes with single occupancy. It's a good reason to buy an EV. They should. There's a reliable commuter rail system in and out of downtown Toronto. In this instance we're talking about a highway that goes through Toronto. Most people using it aren't going into Toronto, they're passing through Toronto.1 point

Barqy, look around ffs. Our Deputy PM said "We need to make stronger alliances with nuclear-armed countries, like Britain and France, so that they can protect us from America". https://www.yahoo.com/news/british-nuclear-weapons-protect-canada-233019491.html I don't give a shit about any of her other qualifications or experience, even any successes she may have had (truly zero if we're being honest), what she said there was so colossally stupid on every level that she should have been turfed on the spot. You can't find anything that Poilievre ever said that was even remotely close to that, yet the CBC and leftards didn't mention how stupid her comment was and they are are on PP's case for maybe saying something offensive at some point, but they can't quite put their finger on it? But it gets better: to throw gasoline on Freeland's stupid comments, our PM just went and signed a "Canada-Europe Defence Alliance" 😂. Gimme, a fking, break. FYI if the US wanted to take us over militarily, there's not a single thing that anyone in the world could do. probably 65-80% of our population is below the 49th parallel, in southern Ont and Que. Even Victoria BC is below the 49th 90% of the population of BC outside of Victoria is basically on the US Border. Delta, Surrey,Langley and Abbotsford are actually ON the border. Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Coquitlam, PoCo, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows, Chilliwack are all within a few kilometres. We don't have a single fighter plane that can take on an F-22 or F-35. We don't have anti-aircraft batteries and radar to stop cruise missiles ir hypersonic missiles, ballistic missiles, or ICBMs. We don't have main battle tanks to match the Americans. We don't have their close support planes or helicopters. 95% of our population is within a 30-minute drive of the US border for an M1 Abrams tank. Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Kelowna, Kamloops and Saskatoon are our only major cities outside of that. And NEWSFLASH - Europe isn't going the threaten the US with nuclear weapons just to protect our sovereignty. At some point you have to look at the hopelessness of the situation and the cost to even attempt a defence and realize that it's just not worth it. We could throw away the lives of all of our soldiers without making a noticeable dent in the US military. The government that we have is dishonest, stupid, and seems entirely traitorous. We are a breeding grounds for terrorists that want to attack India and the US (and ourselves, as usual), and we are alienating those countries day-by-day. Canada has become a negative on the world stage, as far as promoting western democracy is concerned, if we're being honest. There was a time when Canada had a useful military and a strong government and we weren't a breeding ground for terrorism, and that time is long gone. Democracy here was a swing and a miss. If the US moves to take over Canada, I say we stand aside so no one gets hurt.1 point

There's been nothing prosperous about the last 10 years. People have increasingly found it harder to put food on the table and a roof over their head. They're falling behind compared to other countries left right and center, our medical system is on the edge of collapse, crime is through the roof and especially violent crime so it's getting hard to call it peaceful. One of our promises has tried to separate two times, and is very seriously considering a third attempt and another province is considering doing the same thing. You are severely sugarcoating a situation that is not great. It's really hard to say this is working for Canada. About the best you can say is that so far it hasn't completely fallen apart although it is heading in that direction1 point

Are you really going to give me a hard time about ad hominem attacks? You? Mr. RULE #2 for the blue is going to lecture me on personal attacks? What you failed to recognize is that I did address your loosely (and I use the term loosely loosely) tied factoids. While you thought I was attacking you, I was really attacking the absurdity of the logic that tied an unsubstantiated claim of love for McKinley to misogyny. There is no logical tie, other than some general statement that women's rights were less impressive in that era. Its just absurd. And thats my point. You jumped to ridiculous conclusion that no sane person would make unless it was satire. The fact that you believe these things can only mean that you have something that is dysfunctional in your brain.1 point

Perhaps, or maybe so are you.... No this is not why the military gets nothing, the reason it gets nothing is becasue of governments and people with your mind set your attitude.......but what you forget is regardless of how you fund our military, what type of equipment we give them, our government and Canadians will happily send them into a conflict...these are Canadians, wtf is wrong with this country when we can not even be bother to give them half decent equipment, training, etc etc... You seem to be of the opinion this is Citizens of Canada against the military....and it is not these people who serve do so without complaint they know that Canadians don't give a rats ass about them...and that pi$$es off canadians when to hear regardless of what they do , or fund to them they will always have Canada's back...i ask the question why not fund them ? As for what i'm talking about , i've seen up close and personal what the lack of funding looks like in the military, I've gone through an iltis jeep after it hit an IED looking for enough human remains to make it legal body....while everyone else in AFGHANISTAN WAS DRIVING MRAPs...and Canadians were driving around in open air jeeps...for me this topic is personal...for you this is about dollars and cents...and how it can't be done.... if you know who is going to be in office and what the outcome is why are you worried what anyone says....your positive it will never happen, then so be it, i've already express that to you...and while i'm retired , i have a son and daughter in the military....and again i'm invested in any positive outcome for our military.... I guess we will have to see ....I'd like to know what your background is and what background you base your opinions on this topic....for the most part i do agree with alot of what you have said in other topics....with the exception of this topic...you have nothing invested in it...and like most Canadians have something against our military, and what they provide this country... you can call it whatever you want, but crying for this country is long done.......i call it drawing attention to the topic, or pointing out just how sad it is when a nation can not or will not defend itself...if it had not been for my son and daughter joining the military, it would not bother me in the least what you and others do to the military... I've had to deal with people like you my entire military career...grin and bear it...it is what most military members do...and eventually they will stop being so patriotic, for king or country, and their focus will be for their bothers' and sisters on the left and right of them...everything else will be shoved to the side...nothing else will matter...they will give you as much attention as you give them, Yes military people see what this country gives them, everyday....Thats the way Canadians wanted it to be....thats not what soldiers wanted thats what regular Canadians wanted... Not sure why you think the way you do....but i've seen young men and women, draped with our nations flag loaded up in hercs, because our nation was to cheap to give us the proper equipment...and it has influenced me and shaped my own opinions on this nation....young men and women who pledged unlimited liability to defend this nation regardless of how they treated us...who all they asked for was to to be properly equipped so they can return to their families...and if i read your messaging right, that is to much to ask for....i know that would make me proud and more patriotic.... I may know jack shit about how this nations finances work, but at some point of time the military will lose to many capabilities, that i do know, it will become unable to do the simplest task...by then it will be to late... this is not a pi$$ing contest with me and you...this is about military lives, and how they are valued in this nation...they are not looking for a parade or a medal, they are looking for Canadians to have their backs, to know that one day their sacrifices will mean something...1 point

Canada is seeing a faster rate of adoption to EV than the US but our goals as you note, are not achievable in the time frame laid out. Will be interesting to see what the government does with the new lobbying but can't imagine they'll willingly let auto jobs go to the US because of an unrealistic production target. Sure as hell hope not! There is more concern for the US grid than ours because of the aging infrastructure. Don't know exact status of inter-provincial trade talks but thought that essentially every level of governments were on-board to make it happen with lesser hurdles and are working toward. End of the day and even if the EV production goals are level set to today's reality, both countries need to upgrade our energy infrastructures to accommodate future demand....and that doesn't mean just a pipeline.1 point

You seem to think that all of this needs to be done today...we have until 2035, and we still do not know what is going to happen after trump leaves office, there is to many questions that need to be answered, before our nation needs to get to 5 %....There is thousands of things that need to be done before we spend any new funding, none of that is being done... between now and then our economy is going to grow, something you may or may not have taken into account. bottom dollar, is we as a nation are living beyond our means...for decades we have been adding to our debt, covid sent it into over drive and nobody even blinked an eye...even when Carney announced his 90 plus bil deficit for this year alone, nobody blinked, ya a few spoke up, but for the most part crickets...until we decide to spend on the military, and now we are going into crises mode, we will wreck the economy...sound about right....i mean it is ok to starve them for decades, but don't spend any real money on them...that is the line in the sand that has been there since the korean war ended... It can be done, if there is a will, if you can't be done with cuts then raise taxes....and Carney is going to try...will he be successful who knows..."I'm" not doing anything, Carney is doing all of it, remember him the international banking and finance guru, he has put his signature down on the new NATO agreement, plus signed a new European defensive pact, which no one really knows what that is going to cost but it is not going to be cheap...MTF on that little forgotten piece... We as a nation have a long history of not living up to our signed on to obligations....frankly the world is shocked that we met our 2 % goal....our allieds already have our reputation cemented in stone, we are not reliable in any form...the world is not depending on Canada for anything, well except the palestinians and their need for condoms...or gender study programs...Everyone thinks the world loves Canada we are peaceful and polite....no world leaders know we are laggards in every way...do you think Carney or PP is going to change that, not on your life... It may be stupid, even crazy at times, i would have thought that having the liberals govern for 4 terms would be crazy, after all they done, and poof here we are, right in the middle of crazy town....home or the lagards, and liars....A large part of me have been waiting for this moment in history for 4 decades now, it is here closer than it has ever been....and i'm willing to pay extra taxes to make all of this happen....and if it does happen Carney will have my vote for life... As for the governor general bless her sole but she likes to spend money....and your preference is your choice...but the next Forrest fire or flood or whatever maybe she could drive people out of the danger areas in her car...or join August and peddle out on bikes....I understand what the office is and what it does, i pledged allegiance to her office and served it for 35 years...what i don't understand is her need to travel the globe and enjoy the life of riley on my tax dollar... Canadians have already made up their minds and elected a man that is taken action of some sort, and to be honest it is a bit refreshing...would i prefer it be conservatives Yes...any ways Carneys yet to prove anything of real value to his voters, or Canadians, that remains to be seen but for me i like what i have seen so far...considering what we have had in the last ten years... At one point Canada will have to decide what it wants a seat at the big boys table or in the nosebleed seats like we are now...our international reputation is in taters, our word means nothing, and we are pushed around like some 2 year old....our nation is one huge dumpster fire, our neighbor and biggest trade partner wants swallow us whole for our own good...our allieds just look and stare at us " thankful" it is not them with that many problems the left can't or won't see the problems... and when you point them out the take an epileptic fit and spaz out on the floor, screaming so they can't hear you... ....to them everything is fine...did i miss anything...oh ya, we all get along....as august kindly reminds all of us... Only this time i hope NATO punishes those that have not kept their words and kicks out lagard nations out of the alliance, of course that would start a landslide to include NORAD, 5 eyes, European pacts...but hey at least will have the governor general.1 point

An absolute tragedy and nightmare for those affected... I can only imagine the grief that parents are dealing with right now. Truly devastating.... How do you explain PP losing his seat? There is no technicality about it. You just support them violating the law. First, the UN doesn't nulify US law. Second, that doesn't change the fact that I am no liar, you do in fact support them breaking the law. THIRD, this is not the only argument against immigration law enforcement you have been making. This entire line of argument of yours is still beyond dishonest as you have opposed immigration law enforcement in numerous threads far more broadly and generally than this. But go on... why don't you confirm this for us all. Do you support ICE enforcing federal immigration law against the millions of people here unlawfully IF they are not in fear for their lives from their home countries? Those first two articles are about people and have nothing to do with the contents of the bill. The fact that you cant prove me wrong, proves me right. The second claim you make is just untrue. ------------------------------ https://www.chcs.org/media/Medicaid-Timeline-Fact-Sheet_01.14.20v2.pdf Social Security Amendments: The Birth of Medicaid and Medicare Medicaid is created, expanding on existing federal support for health care services for recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children. ------------------------------ This bill does not change benefits for the core recipients of the original plan. It does add a minimal work requirement for those that don't have kids. Yes, but his disgust was with the spending not the cuts. Your dishonest implication that he wanted to keep the spending that I just lined out is disgusting (we have a theme, might as well stick with it). Musk wanted more of the cuts, that he found, to be implemented. They can't be voted on with this bill because the aholes, on your side, would rather keep fn over Americans than do their job. So we can't pass a full budget bill that eliminates all the waste he found. Musk needs to direct his anger at the Democrats that are screwing us over.1 point

I woulda believed you if you said that you know what a rock was, or what crawling and hatching mean, but portmanteau has 11 letters... That's a full 4 letters clear of anything in the left4rd lexicon, and 5 letters clear of what the avg left4rd would stand a decent chance of using correctly. FYI a word doesn't have to be in the dictionary to qualify as a portmanteau. People make them up all the time (it's called "poetic license" when you do it intentionally, as was the case here), and some of them eventually end up in standard dictionaries and/or slang dictionaries. Classic example, from urban dictionary: leftard a person who jumps on the liberal bandwagon without really understanding any political issues because they think it is sexy and it goes along with their hippie, (or hipster), long-haired, burner, pot-head image. These people can often be spotted at the Eugene Saturday Market buying hemp clothing for 100s of dollars, wearing outfits that cost a ton but look like they are hand made and falling apart. Leftards will never be able to engage in any meaningful discussion about their talking points, as they will only know one-sided and often vague facts about the issue, and will often hold seemingly contradictory ideas, such as supporting gay and women's rights, but being against the only liberal democracy that upholds these rights in the Middle East, namely, Israel. Leftards are what is wrong with the American Liberal and Leftist movements - they are quintessential posers who really just want to spend their parent's money on drugs, expensive music festivals and "hippie" clothes - they will never spend money on actually supporting the causes they purport to care about. They suck and I seriously dislike them. Q: "Hey, your outfit looks really awesome - did you make it?" A: "No, Im a leftard, so I spent $1000 to look homeless." That leftard was totally unable to stand up to sound argument, and had no idea of the geopolitical or social history of the issue, and I made him look like a fool in front of his pot-smoking, dread-locked posse. Hey look, a whole bevvy of leftards at the Eugene Saturday Market banging on drums and agreeing blindly with each other. They don't mention that it's a portmanteau, and fairly new, but it's a combination of the words "leftist" and "ret4rd", in case you can't do the math. Collins: leftard New Word Suggestion an offensive term for a person with left-wing political views [a blend of left and ******] Additional Information Lord Farage is God-Emperor of the UK. Suck it up, leftards. [comment by a Daily Mail reader on the prospect of Nigel Farage's possible ennoblement] Submitted By: aaholmes.9125 - 17/11/2016 Status: This word is being monitored for evidence of usage.-1 points
