  2. It’s highly arguable though that the U.S. is in the death throes of a major realignment away from Pax Americana, and I don’t think this is a good thing. Until recently the US was the lifeboat of the West for security, democracy, and economic power. It’s struggling to maintain that for its own citizens, so it’s trying to shake down the rest of the world using the excuse that they have been too generous in the past. Yet America was just the fresh new empire that emerged out of the British Empire, which itself was the leading alternative power after the Holy Roman Empire which grew out of the Macedonian Empire which came out of the Greek city states, etc. in many ways Canada is the fresh new growth out of a fading empire, but we’re in transition, growing our country. Trump doesn’t have us under heel in the most important ways. We can still produce and sell to ourselves and other countries. The U.S. exports represent about 22% of our economy, significant but not insurmountable. Also many American states benefit greatly from trade with Canada and Canadian tourism and patronage. Trump is on a short leash that will choke him out of political relevance in 20 months if he hasn’t improved the US economy. Doge didn’t accomplish much and now Musk has abandoned ship. Trump is calling Xi. Major corporations are hugely upset by the tariff uncertainty and so are markets. Carney just has to keep the focus on modernizing the Canadian economy and brokering the best deals. Either Canada comes through the other side united or it succumbs to total American takeover. I don’t think that becoming part of the US is necessarily bad or the worst of possible outcomes. What matters is whether Canadians are making the most of what they have in the area we call Canada.

  3. LOL, imagine that. After they implement sex testing, the obvious dude isn't going to participate. I wish I had the search feature to go call out all the leftists on here pushing the trans madness when they acted like this dude was a chick, and how dare any of us question that. " Abrego Garcia was pulled over for speeding as he was driving from St. Louis to his home in Maryland, and video of the incident shows the officer skeptical of a van full of passengers without any luggage. Newly unsealed court documents show the government is charging Abrego Garcia with two counts related to unlawful transportation of undocumented migrants in connection with the incident. 5. NDP to vote against throne speech, forcing Liberals to find support elsewhere | CBC News wow, the NDP grew a spine pretty quick after they got rid of jaggers! Interesting. The CPC probably won't back it without concessions, like 'budget before fall" or the like. So the bloc will have to suck it up. Or the gov't falls, and then most likely the CPC will be given a chance to run the show. By tradition if the gov't falls within 6 months of an election the gg won't want to go back to the polls because it's unlikely people's opinions would have substantially changed, so they try to find if there's any other group or coalition that would be willing to try to move forward. If absolutely no one will take the job then it's election time again. They'll probably talk one of the others into propping them up, nobody wants an election again this quickly, But it's got to be a pretty serious shot across carney's bow that he's got to think about this so soon.

  6. You do know that its due process expedited means get them out of here faster. Here is the funny thing blackbird most of these raids and stuff are happening in "sanctuary" cities all this cry baby waaaaaaah liberal nonsense is because they won't help Ice with deporting actual CRIMINALS by giving them access to the jails they have to find them themselves and if other illegals get caught up in it well you can blame those empathetic Democrats who keep proving they love criminals more than people.

  7. "only"? The short commutes that 90% of us use our vehicles for 90% of the time? You seem to have forgot the goal is to reduce overall carbon emissions which hybrids actually do. They serve as the interim step towards ZEVs and buy time to gather resources, supply and bulk manufacturing battery and fuel cell alternatives. Hell, I'm waiting for Mazda to make a Plug In rotary LNG/Propane generator to run an electric AWD like a diesel locomotive's drive train. Efficiency at it's best. Fill & charge at home on the cheap and no range anxiety.

  8. Are you kidding? You can't BUY humor like watching this guy! This is the internal conflict that has always plagued the ndp. Workers vs activist. When the worker side is in charge you get Jack layton and form official opposition. When the activist side is in charge you get jagmeet and you're reduced below party status The ndp sounds like it's thinking about swinging back to being more worker focused. We'll see how that goes.

  12. I can't think of a better, more informative interview in my life. Part of that is because Kash is very forthcoming in his information. They talked about China, the CCP and how they are intentionally sending fentanyl to the US. They have shifted from Mexico to India and Canada. They also talked about multiple attempts at wiping out our ag and stock. Why we haven't declared war on them is beyond me. We sure as he'll don't need to be letting them make a trade deal with us. Kash is adimate that Epstein killed himself and there are no tapes that he has that are especially damping or have new information. The Russia Hate stuff is just insane. I would listen to this for the China stuff as that is happening now and needs to be stopped. But, everyone involved in Russia Gate needs to be exposed. And it will. It is just going to take time. But the thing he broke in the interview is the crime that needs to be addressed on American Indian lands. Most importantly, that he is diverting resources from administrative duties to investigating and enforcing crime on Indian Lands. He's not targeting American Indians, he's protecting them. https://rumble.com/v6uee3z-joe-rogan-experience-2334-kash-patel.html

  18. The problem is that Canadians are not on the same page, we are so divided there are too many voices talking at the same time all wanting different things....is Carney the guy that can unite all of Canada, he is trying, but he has a mountain to climb, and he is asking to many things, instead of being Prime ministerial and tell provinces here is the energy corridor plan, get on board or risk not getting anything for your provinces, BC, Quebec are the targets here... instead it has turn out to be everyone jumping up and down, but turning their noses up when they don't like the guy next to them... It's 2025 and we are just tackling inter provincial trade now....worth over 200 bil....so money was not a driving force here, protectionism was once again showing how divided we are when trading amongst ourselves..it would be funny if it was not other Canadians we are doing it to.....no wonder Trump picked us as an easy target.... As for being on the US radar, why would it when it is not even on Canadians radar....Many people here dis trump for causing all these problems...but he did not create them we did, thats right Canadians did... all he did was make us look at them forcing us to find a solution...and now that we know what the problems are we have a lip on with trump for forcing us to look at them....I hope trump forces Canada's head deeper into the toilet of sh!t we dumped in there until we as a nation wake the F up, and start acting like a nation that is united with one purpose....

  19. It's 2025 and we theoretically just re-elected the LPOC, despite ten years of scandals and the fact that Carney got caught telling multiple huge lies in his few weeks on the campaign trail. Our MSM has been openly bribed with taxpayer money in each of the last 4 elections. This is the exact opposite of 'democracy'. It's a farce. Elections in China and NoKo are no less legitimate than ours.

  21. It looks like Carney doesn't want to remove the C69 law, the no more pipeline law. Also, if a province like the BC NDP opposes a pipeline and they do oppose it, he won't allow it to be built even if it is in the national interest. He will give a real boost to Alberta separatism. He doesn't know what the job of a PM and federal government is.

  23. @MDP You can't cure our democracy without an overhaul of our corrupt media. Fully 50% of our electorate is badly misinformed, so how are those people supposed to make informed decisions in their own best interests? Eg, people here injected their kids with bogus 'vaccines' that they never needed, they advocated for young adults to be forced to take them as well, and those bogus vaccines grievously harmed and even killed some of them. "Meh. Covid deaths only went up by 36% in 2022, so f- them", right?

  24. Most of us do not have the time, education and resources to help us make decisions about pending legislation. That is why we elect MP's. Your reference to Greece is actually only the city of Athens. In that example, most people did not have the vote. Slaves and women had no say. It was a minority that voted and the administrative culture in that brief period was far differenent than a 21st century industrial society.

  29. Ya, that's how I see most of it too. Some of it's interesting from a historical and clinical perspective (I guess) but that's about it. At the end of the day you're inevitably left with the here and now and withinin that realm, HAMAS is lock wired into ideologically driven religious objectives and those objectives are most definitely NOT political ones. Political objectives can be negotiated and compromises are possible, those efforts can even happen peacefully. On the other hand, the religious objectives of HAMAS simply can't be negotiated because only the destruction of Israel and rebuilding on the rubble will suffice and I don't see that happening. Do you? Does anyone here? 11 pages in and the real issue remains unaddressed. I've spent a fair bit of time there training and on multiple deployments and I always ask people with strong opinions and little experience in the area the same question.... If you do not support the eradication of HAMAS as a functioning entity, how do you propose to negotiate with them? You either eradicate HAMAS or you negotiate with them and I see the latter option as analogous to the abusive and psychotic ex-husband of your current fiancé who just got out of prison for attempted murder... he has repeatedly vowed to be successful on the next attempt. So.... if y'all got a plan to negotiate with this guy then bring it forward, your Nobel Peace Prize awaits. IMO, anything else, no matter how historically accurate or entertaining is truly: Full marks for entertainment value and historical context, especially the emotionally charged stuff, unfortunately though, stark reality renders it just as academic as the childhood abuses your girl's ex endured 50 years ago. You may sympathize with his history and stolen childhood, but he gets out of jail next week... and sympathy is found in the dictionary somewhere between sh%t and syphilis. Best of luck.

  31. The only good thing to come out of the Trump taunts on our sovereignty and the surge in Canadian pride is that we may finally get real across the country about what we need to do to make this land and its citizens thrive: eliminating interprovincial trade barriers, expanding trade beyond the U.S., increasing our domestic market for Canadian-made goods, investing heavily in long overdue infrastructure projects like high speed rail, pipelines, ports, deregulation of barriers to business, and domestic military and commercial production of our own vehicles, ships, etc. If our federal and provincial governments finally have the strength and courage to override the ridiculous radical special interests holding us back, then we can call this period the proving ground for the Canadian people and the Canadian nation state. These are the only options for Canada now. Everything else is fluff and pandering to victimhood. Basically the federal government needs to set up an encampment at Stelco and the other major smelters and steelworks and build, build, build. Don’t put workers on welfare. Give them real work of national significance. These policies and projects should’ve been implemented decades ago. As for Carney’s attempt to strike a new “economic and security partnership.” It better not be a capitulation to one-sided tariffs against Canada. It should be an economic union that expands economic and mobility opportunities for Canadians and Americans in equal measure. Live and work anywhere in North America with minimum residency length requirements to draw government benefits. That’s the opportunity. The Trump 51st state rhetoric and surge in Canadian pride over its incumbent flabby economy/Liberal government are side shows that distract and threaten to derail this opportunity for both countries.

"We know it, leaders know it, scientists know it and the private sector knows it: putting a price on pollution is the most efficient and powerful way to keep 1.5 alive": (referring to the push to limit global temperature increases to 1.5 degrees Celsius). He said it a billion times, Carbon tax is the best way to fight cilmate change, i'll meet our goals, it will keep climate change under control Sooooo.... we paid the tax, SO climate change must be solved, Turns out it wasn't. Thats why you're sea lioning. You know you're wrong so you're trying to delay and derail the conversation. You promoted carbon tax as the be all and end all and you YOURSELF said it was critical And it wasnt. It failed utterly. And you yourself have been unable to provide even a single scrap of scientific evidence to show that the climate change issue is a 'crisis'.

  40. It actually is brilliant, imo. The NDP is forcing Carney to step up to the microphone, hat in hand, and say: "The NDP forced me to do these things on behalf of Canadians." Trudeau managed to really run the show from behind the scenes last time, which was ideal for a little slitherer like him, and whatever concessions Jagmeet may or may not have gotten from him backstage, Trudeau still got to walk to the mic and be the big leader. This was a power move by the NDP, and if they can force Carney to grovel on camera, I think they can win a lot of their support back.

  41. The thing is carney doesn't really want to reunite Canada. He wants to put a band-Aid on the problems long enough to get what he wants and if it falls apart later then so be it. He's not going to actually build the Pipelines. He's going to say that he absolutely will today and stomp around and do some early preparations but he's already excusing his future failure. He's saying how he won't be able to continue if the provinces don't want to and talking about public sentiment for the projects like they're a major barrier and such So he'll go on about how he's building them and then say oh but we have to deal with Quebec and that'll take negotiations and then things will drag out and he'll keep telling quebec we would never turn on you your buddies and he will keep telling Alberta we'll build them as soon as we deal with these darn quebecers we're trying real hard honest, and nothing will get done. And eventually things will heat up and people will realize he's full of crap and there will be anger and resentment and he will step down and the liberals will try and say that the new person is an entirely new government and no problems in the past should be considered when thinking about the new guy. They hope to stay in the power forever like this

Personally...I hope they do separate. The feds need a good wake-up call and that would probably do it. It's way past time for real solutions and not this greenie chickenshit.

"It's about women." "It's about minorities..." Me me me me me me. It shoulda been about all Canadians this whole time, but in the end this gov't didn't serve any of us, they just played us all against each other and served themselves. I could honestly see Trudeau living out the rest of his days in Dubai. That would surprise me far less than finding out that he remains in Canada. I'd even put him down for an Iranian passport in the 2030s before a Canadian one.
