  1. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-says-us-adding-1-160334777.html Trump says US adding $1 trillion of investment with Saudi trip "With this trip, we're adding over $1 trillion more in terms of investment into our country and buying our products," Trump told the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh. (Reporting by Gram Slattery; Writing by Andrea Shalal; Editing by Mark Porter) -------------------------------- I think this brings the total to $6T in investments in the US and there are 80+ countries to go.

  2. Trump is a grift machine. His primary products are misinformation, illegality, corruption and hate. Manufactured enemies, fake trade deals, manipulated markets, his own personal jet. His gullible followers latch on to the hate he peddles while he robs the country blind and seeks to destroy the best parts of it for his own personal gain.

  4. You tell me. Trump actually manipulated the markets by telling people to buy just before he makes an announcement. You don't care when Trump does it right in front of your face.

His problem is that he doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't listen to others. Just more hype.

  10. By him. Qatar is giving him a personal aircraft that he will use during his presidency that he says he will voluntarily donate to his library when he leaves office. It's a gift pure and simple. He was right when he said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and you sheep would just blow it off. 11. The B707 that was sent to the Reagan Library was introduced under Nixon in 1972. SAM27000 It had been in service 29 years and used by very president from Nixon to GW Bush. It was not a gift from a foreign government to be used by one president and then sent to his library.

  15. You're missing the level of underhandedness displayed by the Liberals and their well-bribed flunkies in the MSM over the past ten years, cultist dipsh1t. FYI the riding was originally called in favour of the Libs, but the validation came out in favour of the Bloc candidate. Then a full recount flipped it back in favour of the Libs. The media is celebrating this as an example of the importance of every vote, but Canadians who are accustomed to seeing LPOC election cheating prevail see it as a likely example of election cheating prevailing again. Cue the LPOC propaganda storm on CBC...

  16. Unfortunate you missed the rest of the conditions, lDIOT. It's going to Trump's "Presidential Library" fund for HIS OWN USE. Like the 727 that's in Reagan's library, but unlike that jet, it will be flight ready and available which is why he wants it so bad. IF you weren't MAGA CULT, you'd see the glee in his eyes.

  17. 840 - here's the official elections canada result: Election Night Results - Now there are ALWAYS some spoiled ballots. Some people spoil them on purpose, some people accidentally start to mark the wrong circle but then mark the correct one, but that's a bad ballot, there's no do-overs. Some people make other mistakes. When i used to scrutineer we'd always find a few. that's a fair number there's no doubt but you can bet that officials will be reviewing that to make sure the ballots are genuinely spoiled and nobody tossed a good one. And there's no reason to believe the spoiled ones favour one candidate or another. but this woman... it's irrefutable, she did what she was supposed to, her vote would have changed the outcome, this was an elections canada screw up.... now what? just tell her that her vote doesnt' get to count? I don't see how they can

  19. Canada’s New Tariffs on US Drop to ‘Nearly Zero’ With Exemptions, Oxford Says - Bloomberg Short version, carney has just announced a bunch of new exemptions that wipe out almost all of the tariffs. The US has not reciprocated and our tariffs from them stay in place. Remember all that tariff money that Connie said was going to go to help workers who were displaced by the US tariffs? Carney basically just sold us out and took all our tariffs off Without any deal in place for the Americans to do the same. "elbows up" his ass it would seem.

  22. It's absolutely fascinating that you think you're "winning" this conversation. I assure you, nobody's winning. You look like an imbecile and I look like a guy who's fine wasting time showing data to an imbecile even when I know it's a waste. Neither is very flattering. But, FYI, the data is really there for the people playing along at home. I know you don't know what to do with it.

  25. Why I fail? Jeebus. They are just numbers. Facts. And your response is naked links to overt propaganda. The bolded part is about the only thing you're right on. "Conservatives" have moved into a post-fact world, so they don't need data or expertise. They only need to be told what their masters need them to believe moment-to-moment. You don't know what happened or how because you have neither information nor education to work with. Worse, you're not even remotely bothered by those deficiencies. Why would you need to learn things when your master will tell you what's really real.

  26. It will cost over $1B to bring it up the AF1 standards. It's already 13 years old and thus not fit for the Emir anymore. But Trump loves it because there's no way the US government is going to pay for those luxury accommodations.

  27. As a very dumb person you can be excused for not understanding the world. Just stop trying to pretend otherwise and go drink some more. 1. Yes, outperforming other economies that are dealing with the same headwinds is still outperforming. 2. Federal employment typically grows. It grew 6% under Biden, particularly in response to PACT act VA hiring and IRA-driven hiring at the IRS, but even moreso in response to COVID recovery. As the world opened back up, government employees also returned to work. Duh. But all of the federal workforce amounts to less than 2% of the total workforce. You would have to be pretty dumb to think that a meager 6% growth in 2% of the total workforce was propping up the entire economy. So dumb. -- For perspective, which you desperately need, here is government employment for the last 50 years. Guess where you don't find an anomalous spike, hmmm? 3. Nobody messed with the fossil fuel industry. (Though perhaps we should have.) That's just another of your dumb fantasies with no relationship to reality. The fact is that we were pumping domestic oil faster under Biden than under Trump and we were a net energy exporter. Again (and for at least a dozen times) here are the numbers. Any competent person could look at these numbers and stop repeating "some dumb thing" you heard on Fox news. You don't trust data though, not because there's anything suspicious about the data, but because you simply don't understand data. Like a dog watching TV. And people of a certain persuasion don't trust what they don't understand. Easier to navigate life as a cultish follower. Requires a lot less work.

  28. And what was the original and current messaging? That there would be some temporary pain, but the end results will be great. Man...everything is already much better. The great tariff scare seems to have already proven beneficial in several ways. So...I agree the final tally can't be done till a year later, but the current results and trajectory is fan-fcking-tastic. Hell the bloody Arabs actually like the guy! The effect of the tariffs span a scope much wider than just financial. It's very unorthodox but...it works to have all the world leaders a tad apprehensive about how the POTUS might react to any given decision. It doesn't hurt that Trump used the consumer weight of the US...as a club either. You could call that...The Trump Card...

  29. What actually happened was that European leaders – Starmer, Macron, Merz and Tusk – met with Zelensky to hammer out a peace ultimatum, and then only later got Trump on an unscheduled phone call and appealed to his vanity and megalomania and agreed to let him take the credit for it. (The Trump Administration also mispresented their role in the India-Pakistan talks) Yeah, I heard. Biggest arms deal in history, right? Actually, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down: -3.2% since January 20, 2025. All due to Trump’s mismanagement. No, there have been no trade deals. Just executive announcements and a lot of noise that don’t amount to anything. American tariffs remain dramatically higher than they were on the day before Trump took office. You have to learn – when Trump says something – it doesn’t mean anything. It’s all smoke and mirrors – again more “announcements” made solely to curry favour with Trump. Announcements do not equal investments. Consider Apple’s recent announcement to invest $500 billion. Wall Street is rolling their eyes at it, calling the $500 billion figure “completely unrealistic mechanically.” It’s just a recycling of old announcements, to grab headlines. In January, 2018, Apple announced a $350 billion contribution to the US economy. That included a plan to create 20,000 jobs, the same figure touted this year. Then, in April 2021, during Biden’s administration, Apple announced plans to spend more than $430 billion over five years. It’s all – been there, done that.

  31. 6 people are charged in a Texas elections investigation involving ‘vote harvesting’ Two stories here: A) Dems are running around saying there is no election fraud and then dems are caught committing election fraud. Ballot harvesting is illegal in Texas because it is well known that ballot harvesters would ditch votes if they disagreed with them. This was very common in retirement homes where harvesters would bring ballots, watch the elderly sign the ballot and then toss the ballots that they didn't want cast. B ) Notice how the AP just ignores party affiliation in the title. They wouldn't do that if these were Republicans.

  36. You are right, but we have to also account for the below described incident: My Grandpa who was in the same riding was running towards the voting station to cast his liberal vote. Overwhelmed with enthusiasm he did not look around when crossing the street and a buss full of liberal voters hit him and sent him flying in the air. All liberal voters in the buss decided the best course of action was to take my Gradpa do teh hospital and wait till his condition is known. They all missed to cast their votes due to their solidarity. It was 34 voters on the bus; as for my Grandpa I care not whether you count his vote or not.

  37. Africa is where the human species began. So some some parts of Africa are the only parts of the world where this wouldn’t apply No, the British parliamentary system is the basis for our democracy. That was brought about because people were tired of being ruled by people who were supposedly chosen by God to rule over us. They’re probably thinking that no one should claim to be able to rule over another by birthright and being chosen by God. Don’t you agree?

  42. It's not the party, but rather the constituents. Floor-crossers don't typically have long careers. In this case, Carney doesn't really need a majority. The NDP is a wounded animal and won't be in a position to bring down the government for years. Quebec is ideologically opposed to Reform Party party politics and have already indicated they'll support the Liberals for at least a year "and some months". If Carney shits the bed all bets or off, but as a minority goes, this one has a mandate and plenty of runway.
