Oh that the public sphere would learn the limits of bluster and televistic appeal ! Imagine high office going to people with relevant skills, and experience ? What a world !4 points

Who has more skills to deal with a global financial crisis ? One who was Bank Governor under Harper and the UK or a textbook demagogue who puts training wheels on MAGA and tries to ride it across Canada ?3 points

Right the Liberals want to give everyone free goodies but don't want the political hit of raising taxes to pay for it. So they'll make future generations pay for it, with interest, just so theycam keep getting elected. Very fiscally responsible of them. Meanwhile nobody can afford a house and our healthcare system sucks.2 points

LOL... Unfortunately popes and Romanism do not teach the truth from the King James Bible which is God's pure word. What do you think the Reformation was all about? The very existence of Popes and the Papacy is not supported by the Bible. Neither is the mass, confession to a priest, absolution, purgatory, salvation by works, and Mary worship. You better do some studying.2 points

It doesn't matter Robo. @User and @Nationalist both pointed out nobody was denied life, liberty or property. They had no legal right to be in country. And nothing at all prevents them from trying to enter using legal means moving forward. But they'll have to apply from their home countries. There's no violation there The same way that you determine without due process whether or not someone is licensed to drive a car. Or whether someone owns a piece of property. There is documentation and if the documentation indicates that the person is not from this country and has not applied for the legal permissions or rights to stay in the country then that is sufficient. They are absolutely free once they leave the country to apply to the court system if they feel something has been done unjustly and they will absolutely be given due process. But if they cannot demonstrate a right to stay in the country then they absolutely can be removed without having a court involved. If an error has occurred that has harmed them then they will have recourse through the courts. It's pretty simple2 points

I have never met Mark Carney in person. I knew people that knew him and they all said that he was an ambitious guy. Ambitious guy? OK..... Not the first politician who is ambitious. ====== Now that I see him on Youtube, he has no charisma. Boring AF, as the kids say.1 point

FFS, Trump lies every time he opens his mouth. He lies his ass off about your own country and you cheer, You're pathetic.1 point
-
He was offered plum jobs in other countries including governor of the Bank of England. So what? I worked offshore for several years and paid taxes in another country, should that lose me my Canadian citizenship or make me less of a Canadian? His job as a company board member was to look after share holders. Now the shareholders are the people of Canada. You should hope he does just as well for his country. At least he won't be using his position to enrich his businesses like your hero down south. What's laughable is a Trumpster like you getting all sweaty about lying.1 point

Ha Ha Ha. Don't let your disappointment and bitterness ruin your life LOL Accept the fact there is absolutely nothing you can do and that the Liberals are governing Canada. If PP wins the by election he can continue to criticize and do nothing like he had been doing for the past 10 years. Alberta will be here...along with the Liberals LOL1 point

That's how it works is it? The more blue paint, the more winninging? Kapuskasing-Timmins-Mushkegowuk is worth how much more than Mississauge-Streetsville, by your estimation? That's probably why the Conservatives got the most seats (or swept?) Ontario too right? Because more blue = winning? That's good shit. 👏🤡1 point

Embarrassed yourself by reposting the same topic a few days after embarrassing yourself posting in it in your first attempt. Conservatives swept the 905, he says, with ~20 Liberal MPs from the 905 in Parliament. 🤣👏1 point

As articulate as ever. I don't recall you citing anything. Not that you'd understand it in any case.1 point

Yet I'm called a racist in this thread on this topic. You're wrong. Nothing has changed. Question immigration numbers or quality and you get called a racist. Even during this last election, conservatives were called racist and anti-immigration because they campaigned on changing it.1 point

By pointing out how you embarrassed yourself...again. Got it! 🤡👌 Conservatives swept the 905...he says...except for Hamilton, Milton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby...essentially anything outside of York region and the boonies.1 point

This is more like Trump's "concept of a plan" for health care. But Trump definitely has a plan. It goes like this: Create a crisis. Take one step toward resolving the crisis. Pat yourself on the back for days for thinking about cleaning up your own mess. Bask in the embarrassing adulation of devoted sycophants1 point

You have no idea what the law is. You have no idea what you are talking about in general. You're just a foreigner who is weirdly obsessed with the US and weirdly devoted to the big orange buffoon in the White House. There are laws. There is a process. They are not being followed. This abominable president, who quite recently swore an oath to uphold the constitution, now says he doesn't know if he has to uphold the constitution.1 point

Most Brits look like they've never ever seen sunshine . . . . kind of a sickly looking bunch. Palid skin, bad teeth, poor posture, and the slight musculature of an anemic boy. Combined with this is an insatiable hunger for warm beer and fish 'n chips . . . . Aaaahhhh! . . . but, they have a king! 😏1 point

There is tons of information about Carney on Google, just search. Why on earth would does his wife matter?? She is not running for office. She was born in the UK. PP wife is an immigrant too, she is from Venezuelan.1 point

No kidding. Hamas was elected and their popularity would grow in the past after they launched attacks on Israel and they continued to enjoy a high plurality of support over the years. We are past thinking the Palestinians are OK if we just leave them be to live their lives in peace. Hamas has brainwashed an entire generation of children to hate and despise Israel now.1 point

As @WestCanMan said he's never been divisive. He can be abrasive attacking his enemies but if anything he's extremely inclusive and if you've seen one of his ralleys it's all about bringing people together, letting them partake in the promise of canada, and building a future. Divisive people don't attract as many people as he did, and from as many different groups as he did. The CBC et al like to portray him as another trump and claim he's divisive but that's just simply not the case.1 point

Sure, but while Carney is gone the CBC is covering up his lies (established fact 😉) and pumping his tires every day. Poilievre didn't just gift the CBC $1B taxpayer dollars a year, he doesn't get any CBC propaganda. Just slander. That's not true at all. You just got caught spreading CBC propaganda, dude. FYI divisive is like Trudeau separating people by pseudovax status, calling the unvaxed "racists and misogynists", and asking Canadians if the unvaxed should even be tolerated. Poilievre has never said anything even remotely close to that. Step away from the crackpipe and order some Big Pharma Bug Fizz. It cures covid.1 point

Our immigration in general needs to be reworked. We need to get back to a more rigid point system and we need to limit dependents as much as reasonably possible. Canada benefits from immigration done right, with modest levels that are appropriate to our infrastructure growth and focusing on people likely to be strong that contributors in short order. We do not benefit from excessive amounts of integration and excessive dependents1 point

OMG the capitalist freemarket cheerleader trying to convince others the f*cking govt sets the prices n the stores. Ring! This is Justin Trudeau. Put Heinz beans up a dollar a can, or we'll lock you up! Suppose the govt orders that bananas from Central America are 78¢ lb and the blueberries from 30 miles away are $8 a handful too.1 point

Thinking our politicians & media endlessly trashing the US & Donald Trump has backfired so hard in their face it’s going to be almost impossible to recover from. Carney running around declaring our relationship is over, we'll find new playmates, elbows up, don’t visit the US and endless vindictiveness towards them will result in us crawling with our tails between our legs begging for forgiveness. No country attacked the US or their President as hard as we did. Id10ts, all of them.1 point

I worked briefly as a busboy while in high school. I know what goes on in kitchens. This wasn't in the kitchen though. And for all the crap that goes on in kitchens, I've never heard of anyone spitting in someone's drink. Multiculturalism is a failure. And letting all those muslims into our nation was a HUGE mistake.1 point

Awww, is the little liberal voter upset that the conservatives made gains in ontario and that immigrants sided with the CPC? LOL! Sorry it hurts your feelings bud. The conservatives did great and made great gains, And in fact I believe they made games just about every province except maybe some of the Atlantics. And immigrants largely supported the conservatives based on the available information. So the liberals have lost the immigrant vote, the youth vote, the middle class vote, and even the working vote if the number of unions backing PP is to be believed. The only thing the libs got was the left wing ndp vote. But they're never going to be able to hold on to that for long. The conservatives are building a foundation that will be pretty hard to shake. No wonder you're complaining about people talking about it1 point

Meanwhile the Trump family’s latest influence-peddling grift: selling access to the president for $500k a pop through his a new exclusive Washington social club run by Don Jr.called “Executive Branch” Trumps are the most shameless grifters in history1 point

Sorry we have to disagree about this one. This is not a black and white issue. Even if one thinks the general policy of removing alleged illegal migrants is in order, a President and country must respect due process, and respect lawyers that defend the accused. You can't just crush the rights of lawyers who defend these people and just ignore the due processes and procedures that respect human rights. We need to think deeper.1 point
