  2. So the Liberals got rid of their China-friendly candidate and then replaced him with... another China-friendly candidate. A DEI cop who has made little secret of his loyalty for China and his membership on the board of a subsidiary of China's United Front. But wait, what's this in buried in the story? During the Liberal leadership race, Mr. Carney met with the executives of the JCCC, according to its website, which described the former central banker’s entry into politics as “an important turning point in the upgrading of China-Canada relations.” Ahhh sooo. Carney met with this Chinese influence group while still in the leadership race. He didn't need any help to win that. So why? In order to gain their favour, of course, to help him out in the election he planned to hold afterward. I wonder what promises were exchanged between candidate Carney and the representatives of the Chinese government to gain their help in the upcoming election. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-liberal-candidate-peter-yuen-chosen-to-replace-paul-chiang-linked-to/#comments

  3. I think the fact Trump made $415 million right after flipping proves we can rely on the Thief in Chief to take care of himself.... “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!! DJT”. ...he posted 4 hours before flopping. Sounds like a lot of his buddies, who also just made out like bandits on the stock market rebound, trusted him to take care of them too. Except now they owe him something of course. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin's portfolio suddenly just got fatter too. Liberation Day should be called Insider Trading Day.

  5. The Liberal candidate selected by Mark Carney to replace one who was dropped over a China-related controversy is a member of a Beijing-friendly lobby organization and has given talks at events honouring a Toronto group that advocates for the annexation of Taiwan by China. Why does Canada attract kooks who advocate for such bloody warfare? We already have enough many pro-Hamas and Khalistani separatists to commit a small genocide ffs.

  8. You clearly haven't seen one of these. If you have, then your definition of bullying is asserting facts and opinions are correcting when someone disagrees. If that's the case, then you are on here bullying people all the time. But, so am I and everyone else on this page. If you are using the traditional (and most correct) definition of bullying, then you can easily show me Charlie being a bully. Or find your own. You are applying intent where you don't know the intent. Can prove me wrong be arrogant or combative? Sure. But it can also be an invitation to inform and instruct. These are debates. They aren't formal, graded debates with note cards and judges. They are debates where real people get to come to him and play stump the chump. And they know well in advance so if they are unpreparrwd, that's on them.

Now saving money on what you buy and sticking to contracts you negotiate are 'extreme leftist' ideas, If country A is mostly rice paddies and country B is mostly wheat fields. trading each other is 'evil globalism'. 10. TPUSA is a Charlie Kirk founded organization that goes to college campuses with a "Prove me wrong about..." sign and then videos and publishes the debates that occur. It is a great way for both sides to exercise free speech. So the left did this: UC Davis did nothing to stop it. No one will be arrested because the cops did nothing to prevent the crime or apprehend anyone that participated. All because they wanted to have a public debate about topics. And they call us fascists.

  11. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/conservatives-lead-first-time-federal-223147507.html Conservatives in the lead for first time in federal campaign, new poll shows It has taken a lot of stupid comments, lies, gaffes, the revealing of several of Carney's conflicts of interest, and Carney getting caught with his hands in the US gov't and China cookie jars during this trade war, plus a lot of near-perfect campaigning from Poilievre, in order for the polls to start tilting back towards the PC's in the upcoming election. No doubt the Nanos polls, controlled by ex-LPOC staffer Alexander Nanos, will continue to skew the overall polling results in favour of Nanos's leader of choice, but no intelligent human takes those into consideration. Theoretically this new conservative lead would still translate into another LPOC minority gov't (and another pre-election windfall of LPOC-directed taxpayer money for our MSM to help them in the next election), but I think the polls will swing even further after the debate. Poilievre has a ridiculous number of arrows in his quiver, and Carney has so many things to answer for, that no moderator will be able to deflect every topic away from his laundry list of lies and conflicts of interest. Poilievre will beat Carney like a rented mule on that stage. CBC will no doubt do their best to make the debate (and this election) another referendum on climate change they'll back Carneys false assertions that the PM and Finance Minister had almost nothing to do with Canada's success at avoiding the recession that the US experienced in 2008, because they love the $2,000,000,000.00 taxpayer dollars that the LPOC gave them to help them in these elections the NDP, Bloc and Greens will no doubt see Poilievre as the guy guy to beat, and gang up like the bunch of jackals they are but PP is the most skilled debater that Canada has had in the last 50 years.

  12. The polls appear to be in PP's favor. PP is getting thousands of people at his rallies, while Corney gets a dozen or so of stupid mor0ns if lucky. It is the leftist liberal polls that are trying to make it appear as though Corney is winning. The surprise will be post election day where we will have a new conservative government in power. And only buffoons and idi0ts will vote for WEF Corney who is just another WEF Turdeau. I just wish that there were some way of arresting Turdeau and bring him to justice and make him pay for his crimes against humanity and crimes against Canada. It's for bloody sure that Canada will never survive another 5 years of another liberal Marxist WEF government. If we think that massive 3rd world immigration is bad today, just wait until Corney opens the border gates wide open and lets the whole 3rd world come in en masse by the millions. It will be goodbye white Canada forever. Believe it or not.

  13. Thanks for the drivel session, Hodad. You know that's you, right? Do you understand that the jab did not prevent you from giving covid to granny? Do you understand that the granny still needed to fear covid, because the jab didn't prevent her from getting sick? Hospitalized? Ending up in ICU? Dying? Do you understand that the covid jabs were not safe? Do you understand the sheer magnitude of the difference between the efficacy of the covid "vaccine" and actual vaccines, like we got for small pox, TB, polio, etc? The word vaccine has become synonymous with snake oil now, and dishonest people like you are the only reason that happened.

  16. Sure, so the group who's going to be defunded if polievre wins says that polievre's bad. Very believable The simple answer would be because they only have to ask Poilievre things once. They have to ask carney five times and while he may respond he doesn't actually answer the question. For example the other day he was asked about in china issue and he said he rejects the question. That's not answering it but your friends at the CBC will mark it as an answer. So the press tends to ask it again Poilievre just gives answers to the questions and there's no need to ask again

  22. Today, the end game is clear. Ninety plus countries are now negotiating with us while China is scrambling to get attention. At a time when their real estate market (about 20% of theor GDP) is crashing, they need to ramp up and sell cheap goods. But that is being hampered by Trump pushing other nations to forgo the cheap crap from China for the quality products from any where else. The end game is to isolate China economically while restoring fairer trade practices and restoring manufacturing jobs in America.

  23. That's right there is the issue. Whether they can or they can't, you have someone who is calling for the death of another person. You literally have someone joking or not suggesting another person should be killed and encouraging others to do it. Even conservatives and republicans have said that free speech ends where you call for illegal acts. They literally just told someone they should kill the president of the united states. They should be up on charges and put in jail. It is absolutely not okay threats to the president of the united states whether it's in joke form or not

  26. That's what the Panama Canal kerfuffle is about. The US built it, gave it to Panama, and the Chinese seemed to be in the process of taking it over. https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/10/americas/analysis-us-china-panama-canal-rivalry-intl-latam/index.html From the beginning of his second term, US President Donald Trump has claimed without proof that China secretly controls the canal where around 40% of US container traffic passes through. If China’s alleged influence over the canal wasn’t halted, Trump threatened to “take back” the iconic waterway that the US returned to Panama in 2000, employing military force if needed. Trump's not usually wrong about those kinds of things, and China did buy two ports by the entrance. If they weren't controlling the canal yet, they soon would be. The Bidens profited with the Belt & Road Initiative and the Communist Bank of China as well. The Chinese have their hooks in pretty deep if they had a US President and a Canadian Prime minister suckling at the power teat. Trump has his work cut out for him.
    1 point
  27. About 10 years ago, China started the Belt & Road Initiative, the purpose of which was to re-vamp world trade in their favour, so they dominate. Since then, Carney has worked on and profited massively from this trade initiative with the Chinese. I think Trump's trade tariffs are a response to counteract China's Belt & Road Initiative and this is why the US is tying tariffs to national security concerns. The Biden administration warned Canada about China's influence and the Trudeau Liberals did nothing. What Trump is doing economically is both bold and risky. Read Stephen Miran's November 2024 economic paper. He's advising Trump and the US economic policy is based on that paper. Carney and the Liberals are deciding for Canadians that we're going to side with the Chinese. It's only us and China that are retaliating. Remember that both Trudeau & Carney have publicly praised China's dictatorship for its ability to control its economy through controlling its people. It's why Carney did nothing when the Liberal candidate called for his conservative opponent to be handed over to the Chinese consulate for a bounty. It's why when that Liberal candidate finally did step down, Carney replaced him with another, even more Pro- China candidate. This election is pivotal. I don't think Canadians realize what is at stake. This is not about tariffs. This is not about Trump. This is an economic war between China and the US and the Liberals are aligning us with China. That's why Carney said our relationship with the US is "over". How many times does the Liberal party have to be involved with scandals involving China before you wake up? The vote is really: Do you want to continue living in a Western democracy or do you want to live like the Chinese people do?

  31. Except that is the exact opposite of what Trump said. He never told voters there may be price increases or market tanking. In fact he said the exact opposite. He said the golden age would start of day one. He said markets would go up and prices would go down on day one. He even claimed that the market increases happening under Biden were happening because the market was expecting a Trump election victory. And now he has paused his tariffs YET AGAIN due to market chaos and very public and toxic infighting amongst members of his administration with Elon tweeting that Trump’s biggest tariff advocate Peter Navarro is a “mor0n” and calling him “Peter Retarrdo”

  33. That's a wild oversimplification, but even if it were plainly true, you would have to agree that we're doing that to ourselves. None of that nonsense you spouted earlier about other countries "invading our markets to steal jobs from us." Republicans spend DECADES thumping the Chicago bible and spouting the dogma of an all-seeing, all-knowing market as the One True Way to efficiently allocate resources. Laissez fair was tres chic and other countries had favorable manufacturing circumstances. Then Trump gave them a new god, so they just converted -- 180 degrees at the drop of a hat.

  35. I never claimed to be an economist, let alone a master economist. Nor would I. A bachelor's degree is fairly introductory in terms of real expertise. I have other degrees and chose a different profession. But the education comes in handy for understanding the world a little better. And, you know, understanding basic concepts like demand elasticity, you weasel. But the proposition that the rest of the world stole our manufacturing base is pure nonsense. We chose to outsource and automate to get more stuff for less money. For good or ill, we did this to ourselves, and we've certainly exploited them far more than they've exploited us.

  36. Then how about this: In 2020, when covid was a novel virus, and 0% of Canadians were vaxed, 15,000 people total died of covid. In 2022, when covid was no longer a novel virus, 16,000 multi-jabbed Canadians died of covid. 19,000 people total. When I studied math, 16,000 was more than 15,000. So is 19,000. Sorry, but your math tutor (a chimp?) sucked. When I studied biology, they told us that vaccinating a group of people would lead to less deaths, not significantly more deaths. When Trudeau and Fauci were pimping the jabs, they said that people "didn't need to worry about covid", not "que sera, sera". When Trudeau and Fauci were pimping the jabs, they said that they were safe, not "side-effects include death, intense chronic pain leading to suicidal ideation, permanent disability, plus a whole laundry list of serious permanent & temporary side effects". When Trudeau set about forcing young people to take the jab in Canada, that was based on "You won't give covid to granny if you're vaxed", not "you will be more likely to spread covid to granny". When 15,000 Canadians died of covid, and hospitals were "overwhelmed", Trudeau and Fauci said "only a vax can save us!", and the MSM said the sky was falling. Then, after the saviourvax came out, 19,000 Canadians died of covid, hospitals were several times as overwhelmed, but Trudeau and Fauci said "The jabs saved us", and the MSM said nothing about the increase in deaths and the increasingly overwhelmed hospitals. If 85% of Canadians became 80% less likely to die (80% less likely was a theory that some leftards floated here) then how did deaths go up by 36% in 2022? Why did the vaxed account for almost 90% of covid deaths? Why did vaxed-deaths in 2022 surpass the total number of deaths in every other year? You've got a lot of things to answer that can't be explained away by "The CDC's mystery graph tells all!" But keep clinging to Fauci's lies and BS, Hodad 😂

  38. It's not rational. Not remotely. As populations approach 100% participation OF COURSE any negative outcome will be primarily among those who have engaged in any mitigating activity. Has been explained at least 50 times now, but saying that x% of deaths were among the vaccinated is wholly irrelevant. To measure the efficacy of an intervention you must compare the outcomes of those with intervention and those without on an incident basis. If you want to know if vaccines are effective, you compare the outcomes of those who contracted COVID while vaccinated to those who contracted COVID without being vaccinated. It's not hard to understand, and the difference in outcomes is stark. The unvaccinated were many times more likely to be hospitalized and many times more likely to die. This is true in every study, in every population. If there is a god guiding Trump, it's clearly one who is very bad at economics.
