NYC politicians call on Whoopi Goldberg to apologize for saying bakery denied order over politics You can read the full story at the link. Tldr: Whoopi had an assistant call to get her some birthday treat for her birthday. The bakery said they couldn't. Whoopi had another assistant try again. This assistant didn't use Whoopi's name and this time they could help. Turns out a boiler was out and they didnt want to take orders until they knew they could fill them. Whoopi goes on TV and claims the bakery (without naming them but it was easy to figure out whonit was) discriminated against her. She even doubled down after the explanation came out. How messed up do you have to be told think a bakery wouldn't take your money because of your politics?1 point

Actually, it is just Trump. I don't recall anyone calling Mitt Romney, John McCain, or Bob Dole a "Nazi". Very few people compared George W Bush to one. Trump is different than any leader of a major political party in America, in the past 50 years. He definitely has autocratic tendencies similar to Hitler, Mussolini, and most Third World dictators.1 point

WTF does the oil industry got to do with the price of food? Want to overlook the 50¢ Loblaws is clawing on a lopaf of bread and blame the 1¢ tax on gas as the culprit again? Still living in your dreamworld where you think we can sell OUR oil to ourselves for less than to somewhere else or that other countries will pay as much for bitumen as for light crude? And your constant delusion that the PM has anything at all to do with either? Go full Trump and pop a 100% tariff on imported food so locally produced 'can compete'. In greenhouses heated by Small Nukes with $17 an hour pickers. Don't forget greenhouses ALL OVER so you can get those to market without a 5 day train ride. Pay $50 lb. for oranges and $100 watermelons? Or stop the deficit spending, hike the spending for NATO 100% and claim you won't have to cut everything else to the bone like PP and the DonOld claim. Yeah the dollar will go up. Too bad you won't have any if that should happen.1 point

You mean that he realised that his career would benefit to speak positively about Trump, one he won the Republican nomination in 2016. Coincidentally, many of Hitler's critics, had a change of heart, once he became Chancellor of Germany. It's self-preservation.1 point

1. No, it's an agenda of demands. Demands like this: "We demand our gender identities be honored and protected in public and private spaces. We call on city and local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices to allow anyone to self-attest to their name and gender marker, including genders besides male or female or the option to decline to specify a gender designation. Problem: Black trans women and Black trans femmes are often harassed in public spaces because of our gender presentation. Black trans women and Black trans femmes are more vulnerable to violence without equitable, low-cost access to updating identity documents. Strategy: We demand that all places of worship including churches, synagogues, and mosques, and spaces like barbershops, hair salons, gyms, and public pools begin to foster more healthy dialogue about the importance of gender diversity in order to make these environments safe, affirming, and nurturing for Black trans women and Black trans femmes. Black trans women and Black trans femmes should be able to navigate essential systems of housing, medical care, and employment that require identity documents." 2. God loves questions - lots and lots of questions. In fact, I'll bet He has more answers than you have questions. 3. Nope, just be a man.1 point

Trump is undermining one of the main checks and balances on presidential power. It’s the Senate’s job to confirm or oppose whoever the president nominates to serve in key government roles. Now, Trump is asking them to step aside, to allow his picks (however dangerous they may be). Trump seeks unilateral power - a step towards autocracy. He teases them with leadership positions: “Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, adding that he wants positions filled “IMMEDIATELY!” “What Trump is essentially doing is telling the Senate to give up one of its core constitutional roles,” said Sarah Binder, a constitutional expert at George Washington University. “The Senate’s role of advice and consent was to be a check on who the president wants to put in these positions.” The slide to autocracy has begun. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/11/12/trump-recess-appointments-how-they-work/1 point

Nope. I jumped in to correct your distortions of scripture. Which I did. I have already pointed out how you waste your time and money on other things. Refugees are just not that important to you after all. OK, so stop asking what Jesus would do when you are arguing for support of laws in the Canadian government.1 point

I don't even know where to begin. The irony of this post is so thick, I just can't. You may allow your bias to color how you view the world, but how I view the world colors my bias. What I mean by that is, you see the world through your blue lense. You see what you want to see. You make your decision and then try to justify it. I don't. I see what is, then I make decisions. It comes from our fundamental difference. You want the government to create outcomes, and thus meet your definition of equality. I want the government to create protections and process and thus meet my definition of equality. You want equality of outcome. I want equality of opportunity. When I view a news story, I don't want to be fooled. I read the bias of the anchor and I listen for the opinion words v fact words. Two of the worst out there are Hannity and Madcow. They both fill up their stories with insanely loaded words. But, you can find truth in both. Example- Hannity: What are the opinions? How long they spent thinking of things to say to Trump. They are kissing ass. Most anti-Trump/liberal on MSNBC. What are the facts? Morning Joe hosts had breakfast with Trump. The hosts requested the meeting. It's not hard. Clearly, this had a Trump bias. But that doesn't mean you can't glean truth/facts from it.1 point
-
Do you not understand that one's perception of bias is going to be impacted by their own bias? For example, a conservative person seeing a story about Trump's obvious cognitive decline would consider that story biased even though, well, look at the guy.1 point

The American left is dying, eyeballs, and that's because liberty and freedom still matter here. There's nothing mundane about you a$$holes embracing Marx, Hitler and Satan, in fact it's hard work for everyone who doesn't support you degenerates. Much of Trump's work in the first year or two will be cleaning up your messes.1 point

Call it whatever you like. I call it a dance move by an old man. That people mimic Trump's dance move is a show of support and appreciation. A celebration of the expectations of Trump's term. A celebration of America's rejection of the previous administration. So support and celebrate America.1 point

Ah, yes, the age-old paradox of standing tall while simultaneously ducking low—truly the finest dance of our time. It seems the new virtue is wearing a cape made of contradictions, while the old virtues take a leisurely stroll to a well-deserved retirement. As for history, it’s probably just updating its LinkedIn profile right now, trying to stay relevant. But who can say? We’re all just here, watching the show, popcorn in hand, as the plot thickens… or evaporates. Or both.1 point

Standing to aggressive maniacs of the world is now "scumbag". Embracing and cowering to them, has to be a newly found virtue. What a change, lacking for words. One can find the finest specimen of the new America no further than here. "Burn all bridges to decency and normality" nothing less. Could one accept that, with anything less? Lofty words mean nothing when the reason has left. Proud history will count for nothing. See it for what it is - or it will consume you whole. Of course, you knew.1 point

Most of the taxes that Canadians pay are taxes that are being stolen from the taxpayer's by the governments of all levels. No one ever asked for multiculturalism, bilingualism, foreign aid, metric or the many other Marxist globalist programs and agendas that have not done a dam good thing for Canada or Canadians except to try and make them go woke and go broke. All those mentioned above were forced on we the people. Stop appearing to be a dummy all your life, lefty.1 point

Is that the best that you can say here, our little brainless comrade troll? Who's your daddy? Is it Diddy by chance? LOL.1 point

Great post. It's too bad that there are plenty here who do not want to listen to common sense and logic. I have to assume and believe that many members here like what is happening in Canada today and are trolls for the globalists. It would appear as though most of our politicians and the left wing liberal MSM are under the control of the WEF Marxist globalists. Why do so many of those two mentioned above try and force Canadians to accept woke Marxist policies like gender and pronoun nonsense, as two examples? I know that Mikey likes it this way, right Mikey? Lucky for Mikey that he is not living in Trump MAGA country now. He will be crying like the little comrade baby that he is. We should all know by now that the WEF globalists are the enemy of we the people. They are trying to destroy as much freedom and rights of we the people as much as possible. WEF globalist scum like Larry Fink is a fink and also stinks. LOL.1 point

I must agree with you that this Marxist dictator in Ottawa does owe the convoy organizers an apology and given them back their money, rights and freedoms. Two of the convoy organizers are still in the gulag even though they have been found not guilty, you dumb azz Marxist. This is what you Marxists always fight for. Corruption and greed. Arse holes.1 point

And who will want to be the first one here to start eating crickets in Canada for dinner? Is this the reason why the WEF globalist plans are to make steak more expensive and not affordable in Canada today? Your dam right it is. I can be dam well sure that those WEF Zionist globalists will not be eating crickets anytime soon in their WEF world. Only buffoons like exflyer will be eating crickets while the WEF globalists will be eating steak. Exflyer is either stupid or is a WEF globalist troll? The latter works for me! Either that cricket farm will go out of business very quickly because nobody will buy crickets to eat or the Marxist in Ottawa will keep donating our tax dollars to this WEF enterprise. I think the latter will be happening. The only scum that does not give a shit about the environment is the WEF globalists who show us every day what they think about climate change. One of them is that they will still be flying around the world in their private polluting jets by the hundreds every day and then take their big gas guzzling emissions vehicles to take them to where they are going. It's dimwits like troll exflyer that wants us all to believe that EV's and eating crickets is the way to go. But he refuses to buy an EV and will also refuse to eat crickets. These Marxist globalists like exflyer are nothing more than a bunch of environmental whackos who will never practice what they preach just like his buddies in the WEF. They are all just a bunch of lying hypocrites. That poor old cricket pictured above. What did the cricket ever do to deserve a fork shoved thru is body? Thanks exflyer, you bug killer. LOL.1 point

Gloves are off. Pretenses, over. You have to burn bridges to the past, forget and abandon who you are: the ideals, the principles, integrity, honesty and decency. That was the price of embracing the cult - and you knew it. Not like you didn't know. No, no way anyone could pretend they didn't know.1 point

I wouldn’t take Trump’s disavowal of Project 2025 as proof that he intends to ignore it. That depends on accepting Trump’s word, and his word is worthless. The slide into autocracy always begins with lies, and Trump has made lies his MO. For anyone who wishes to understand the depth of his willingness to use lies to maintain power, it’s recommended that you read Jack Smith’s immunity filing in the case of The United States of America v. Donald J. Trump. (It is easily found online at several sites, but I hesitate to post links as a new member.) I have read the entire 165-page filing. It preserves Trump’s words and deeds surrounding his attempt to illegally overturn the 2020 election, an important document for future historians.1 point

Deciding to make themselves uglier (face it most of them were ugly to begin with) so men won't want to have sex with them to make them pay for Trump winning is completely sane, right? Of course this is coming from the side that thinks it perfectly sane to chop your penis off to create a fake vagina that you have to flush maggots out of on a daily basis.1 point

It's soared under trump Harper did a crap ton of things. He did so many things and he did them so well that other countries came to Canada to ask how the hell we managed to pull it off. Many of the things he did would have been done the very first time, and they were extremely Innovative. Shovel ready only infrastructure funding which worked out amazingly well, massive rebates for Home Improvements that improved the property or lowered energy use, refinancing the banks through the cmhc which actually made the government money, bunch of other things. Sorry kid, sounds like you're the one with a short-term memory issue. And there are almost no products made exclusively in Canada without purchases from the united states. And where we do produce it such as fuel we have to compete with the global rate or else they sell it elsewhere. It's stunning how little you know.1 point

Because there are many that are bat shit crazy, you have women shaving their heads and people killing their parents for voting for Trump. Didn't a guy murder/suicide his whole family over the election? You have many women really thinking they are going to be forced to breed and that Trump is going make black people slaves again. The problem is the Democrat controlled media has gas lit the American Liberals into thinking Trump is pure evil and must be stopped.1 point

Every day terrorist regime of Russia unleashes massive bombardment of cities of Ukraine. This is brutal, aggressive fascism of our time - nothing less, objectively and factually. And this is who one of the prominent figures in the incoming administration ridicules, publicly. Let's ridicule victims of Holocaust - and why not? The strategy is clear: they want to burn the bridges to everything America used to be and stood for: freedom, principles, the law and justice, integrity, democracy. Till nothing is left and anything can be ridiculed, on a cue. This is what it is. And it's the face of America, now. What could one add? On Saturday, the American billionaire reacted to news of Zelenski's remarks on his social media network, X, and particularly about Zelensky saying that the US cannot force Ukraine to “sit down and listen” in negotiations, and further stressed that “we are an independent country”. “His sense of humor is wonderful,” Mr. Musk responded with a laugh emoticon. Shameful. Simply disgusting. That one act speaks everything about the individual. What can it be redeemed by?1 point
