When the courts and the Senate Intelligence Committee say Trump's campaign manager colluded with Russia, I believe it. Why don't you? Alicia Planincic: The immigrants most valuable to the Canadian economy are now the most likely to leave - The Hub As the title says. Not all the people we allow in are valuable, and the most valuable are the ones that are going. We've now become like a dirty oil filter for other countries, with the least desirable staying here.2 points

Well the truth of the matter is, people will flock to countries where their quality of life will improve for them and their children. If China or India was like this, we would inevitably see millions of Africans, Ukrainians, and people from other parts of Asia and Eastern Europe waiting to immigrate there. However, the population of these places remains homogenous. Since I can remember (since WW2), people Worldwide have always wanted to migrate to North America and Europe, since we have relatively stable democratic principles, and in most cases, are not engaged in conflict.2 points

I believe that Trump colluded with Russia because we heard him tell Russia on live TV they would be “well rewarded” if they released Hillary Clinton’s emails. And then we saw him inexplicably develop a very pro-Russia/anti-NATO foreign policy, going so far as to tell Russia that they’re welcome to invade NATO members who don’t, in Trump’s twisted opinion, pay their bills. On top of that, a bunch of his top advisors were caught colluding with Russia and it didn’t phase Trump one bit.2 points

Didn't see the NDP fighting terribly hard for it either. I don't care about your "Leftards" (or Maggots either, for that matter) the fact is most people aren't as extreme and unbalanced as those two groups. Therefore, if you actually wanted to make a positive change, you're not going to be able to reach the rational majority.with the silly primary school vitriol you use. I would suggest you don't really care about your claims to "morality" but just want to score meaningless, imagined points on some joke of a forum, because no one in the real world will even engage with your nonsense Again you obviously don't want to be taken seriously2 points

I'm convinced that you're plenty dumb. All you do is make this broad generalizations, claiming that the very f-cked up economy of Trump was fantastic and that the incredible economic rebound we've sustained is horrible. Every economic indicator today is better than it was when Trump left office. We couldn't get fricking toilet paper when Trump was President. That's not a great economy. Hospitals couldn't get face masks for their doctors and nurses when Trump was President. That's not leadership.2 points

Trump supporters think that he will be better for America’s economy… but there’s no reason to believe it. Donald Trump is a confidence man… a con man. He speaks with tremendous confidence about his grandiose plans for making our economy great, but what are the facts? The first facts are that his plans are terrible. His published plans consist of 60% tariffs on all Chinese goods and 10-20% tariffs on all other imprinted goods. So right off the bat, nearly all the goods people buy at Target, Wal-Mart and Amazon go up 20-60%. As do many components of American-made products. There’s nothing strategic in this policy; he isn’t evaluating individual industries and supporting them to success, he’s simply starting an inflationary trade war which will also result in our trading partners implementing retaliatory tariffs on our goods. Second part of his “plan” is to cut taxes for the ultra-rich. So there’s the con: The poor and middle class pay more tax, in the form of tariffs, and the rich get their taxes slashed. And none of this improves our economy. And the con comes from a conman: The convicted conman, who paid out $25 million for defrauding students of his Trump “University,” who lost $489 million in another fraud verdict, and who was convicted of 34 felonies in a third fraud case. THERE’S A PATTERN HERE. This conman inherited $400 million from daddy, and then claimed he built his empire from a mere $1 million. And even that initial $1 million was backed up with $200 million in loan guarantees secured by his daddy. And Trump is wealthy, but is he really a billionaire? I mean… he lives in an apartment on his golf club. That’s like living in a shopping mall. Do real billionaires do that? He has a jet, but it’s a really old plane. It’s impractical to operate, so he finances its operation through campaign donations. WOULD A REAL BILLIONAIRE NEED TO DO THAT? This “billionaire” hawks bibles, trading cards, steaks… he’d sell his wife’s used underwear if he could make a buck. And now, he’s gone IPO with a company that is clearly headed straight for bankruptcy, with less than $100 million in cash and staggering cash losses of up to $300 million in a single quarter against quarterly revenues of less than a million dollars. As a result, his stock price has cratered in six months from $71 down to $12. And from $12, this company is spiraling straight into bankruptcy. These aren’t the workings of a business genius, they’re the workings of a conman and a fraud. And if he wins the Presidency, the U.S. Government will be next in his long string of economic failures. He handed our economy off to Biden in dismal condition, and he’ll put America in even worse condition if he’s elected. Do not vote for this conman.1 point

Deflect, dodge, duck and weave, but whatever you do, don't answer basic questions. And be sure not to trip over that tucked tail. Do you dispute that Manafort was Trump's campaign manager? Do you dispute that regularly had clandestine meetings and communications with Kilimnik? Do you dispute that at those meetings he gave Kilimnik "sensitive" internal polling and strategy from the Trump campaign? Do you dispute that Kilimnik in turn relayed that information to Russian intelligence services? Do you dispute that Russian intelligence services was running an active election interference and disinformation campaign against US voters with the express aim of helping Trump win?1 point

I know we're now on page 2 of this thread (and that's a long time to remember) but you know the Mueller report was just the first of at lest 3 relevant reports, right? I'm trying to figure out how any remotely rational person still disputes the fact of collusion. Do you dispute that Russian intelligence services was running an active election interference and disinformation campaign against US voters with the express aim of helping Trump win? Those are all facts of historical record at this point. Do you have secret information that indicates that any of them are incorrect? If not, then you must acknowledge collusion.1 point

Donald is a traitor and an attempted usurper. He hatched and implemented a plan to install fake electors in multiple states in an attempt at staying in power through fraud. Ex-NYC COVID czar Jay Varma fired from job after sex-party scandal (nypost.com) “Varma boasted about harassing people into submission over the vaccine mandate and admitted to participating in illegal sex parties, all while he, former Health Commissioner Dr. David Chokshi, and then-Mayor Bill de Blasio imposed draconian measures that shut down the entire city,” the Queens Democrat said. “The hypocrisy is outrageous.” Varma’s seamy chats — which included him boasting, “I did all this deviant, like sexual stuff,” and, “I had to be kind of sneaky about it … because I was running the entire COVID response in the city” — were made public last week by conservative podcaster Steven Crowder. His firing came as enraged city business owners and parents joined lawmakers on the steps of City Hall on Monday to rally against the randy doctor, saying that while they were masking up, keeping their kids home from school and taking other precautionary measures against deadly COVID — under his instruction — he was getting up close and personal with throngs of people. “While grandmothers took their last breaths alone on cold hospital beds, Dr. Varma was fulfilling his sick fantasies with hundreds of sweaty strangers,” city Councilwoman Inna Vernikov (R-Brooklyn) raged. "They never, ever, ever told us it was 100% effective." Uh-huh 🙄1 point

This may not be what some want to hear or even think about these days, but at this time, de facto the cult has already detached itself from democracy. It does not see itself a part of it. It suspects and despises it. And in the large picture, it can do without it. It thinks. At this time, it is a-democratic, ambivalent and detached from democracy. But if it sees a threat or a benefit, it can become anti-democratic quite easily and fast too. This path is wide open now. See, think for yourself, disagree if you will but complacency, playing with these things pretending that they are some funny fancies can be very risky. History tells us that in no uncertain terms.1 point

Trump managed the pandemic from March 2020 until January, 2021. That's only ten months. Biden managed it from February, 2021 until January 2025. That's four full years. As I said, you won't (can't? ) actually articulate how Biden stepping down in the twilight months of his presidency improves anything, or what colossal blunders he's apt to make. "Unfit" is a subjective term and judgement. As frail and diminished as he evidently is, he's still more "fit" than the similarly old, but raving buffoon who was running against him. I have little doubt that Joe Biden can hold it together and run a steady ship until the New Year, even if I didn't support another 4 years for him. "Whatabout Trump?" isn't deflection. It's context for your criticism. While you repeat about Biden that "he's unfit, he's unfit, he's unfit", you're advocating for a muddled fool who humiliated himself ranting about illegal immigrants kidnapping and eating family pets on a televised presidential debate the whole world was watching. For anything but a die-hard Republican, that's a tough sell. 🤷♂️1 point

There's nothing in the 1982 Charter that says anything remotely similar to that which I can find. But this may be of interest..... A number of arguments have been put forward in favour of the constitutional protection of property rights. First of all, there is the historical precedent. Property rights have played a central role in the evolution of Canadian society and indeed are an essential part of British parliamentary democracy. These rights can be traced back to the year 1215, when the Magna Carta was signed. The right to own property was also included in the English Bill of Rights in 1689. In 1948, Canada signed the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 17 of which reads: Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property. Property rights are also recognized in the 1960 Canadian Bill of Rights, which affirms the right of the individual to the enjoyment of property and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law. Clearly then, it is arguable that our Constitution should be brought into line with these historical documents. The Supreme Court of Canada, in the case of Harrison v. Carswell,(3) commented upon property rights in Canadian law as follows: Anglo-Canadian jurisprudence has traditionally recognized, as a fundamental freedom, the right of the individual to the enjoyment of property and the right not to be deprived thereof, of any interest therein, save by due process of law.(4) Section 26 of the Charter stipulates that: The guarantee in this Charter of certain rights and freedoms shall not be construed as denying the existence of any other rights and freedoms that exist in Canada. Case law has construed this section to mean that the common law protection of property rights is at least not threatened by the Charter.(5) Only the inclusion of property in the Charter, however, would enable an individual whose property rights had been infringed to have recourse to the enforcement section of the Charter. Subsection 24(1) states in part that "[a]nyone whose rights or freedoms, as guaranteed by this Charter, have been infringed or denied may apply to a court ... to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstances." https://publications.gc.ca/Collection-R/LoPBdP/BP/bp268-e.htm#CONCLUSION1 point
