The number of immigrants in any given year should definitely be tied to the volume of accommodations that will be available for them and the Canadians who are already here. I've never seen any figures on this before, but when shopping for a condo some years back the older ones were a lot bigger than the newer ones. I bought a two-bedroom 1970s condo that is simply huge compared to what you'll find today. Master bedroom is larger than the one in my house. You could easily put two queen sized beds in it plus night tables and dressers. Lots of windows, too.
