Nobody's denying the donation website crashed. Of course he's going to fundraise off of it. Trump feeds of his victimhood. What's funny is how the conspiracy clownosphere decries outlets like the NYT as MSM fake news, but then unsurprisingly cites them when it says something you LIKE. When you complain about MSM fake news, you should just admit that you're curating your own reality. 🤣4 points

I already explained to you that saying "215 confirmed graves of children" and being 100% wrong is no better than saying "215 confirmed bodies of children in a mass grave" and being 100% wrong. Stop trying to hide behind semantics now. The fact is that you guys made a horrible accusation and rolled with it for years when it was completely unfounded. Once again you were stooged, herbie. Maybe learn from it. Maybe stop watching CTV and CBC and calling it "news".3 points

To the contrary, I think his running has a lot to do with the fact that he was facing likely charges. Do you think that if he had not run for office that we would have let him take classified documents, lie about them to the FBI, refuse to return them and then try to physically hide them? -- You really think that would have been a freebie if he hadn't declared? That's silly. --- You think he wouldn't have faced the same charges in Georgia or related to the attempted coup? Water under the bridge? That's silly. Yes, I guarantee we consume different media. Fox news has spent months telling their audience an insane narrative about how unfair it all is that poor Donald will face a jury of his peers to judge his (alleged) crimes. Whereas I'm far more interested in the actual court documents, committee reports, etc. Nobody can avoid the news, but unless you're reading broadly--or better still, reading original sources--then you're likely not getting the full story.2 points

How many other politicians? None that I can recall. Most become unelectable after they are caught in compromising situations. Even Nixon had the grace to retire. For some reason (his politics of spite) when Trump gets caught it only make him more beloved to his devoted followers. The weird thing is that you blame the investigators, the prosecutors, the judges and the juries--everyone except the guy committing the crimes. Like, there's no question that he actually did most of what he's been accused of, but the crimes don't bother you. It bothers you that people try to hold him accountable. Isn't there some piece of you that finds that weird?2 points

There is no conundrum. The unDemocratic party got their banana republic conviction. Now the gloves come off. I'm no longer going to be civil to anyone that supports the power lust of the unDemocratic party. If you claim to be a Biden supporter, expect to be told what a piece of human garbage you are. If you have a Biden sticker on your car, you are getting brake checked. If you have a Biden sign in your yard, expect to get a TRUMP tag on your driveway. I'm done with the left. Everyone that supports this b.s. needs to go to Cuba, Iran, China, Russia or anywhere else that this is acceptable. You are not American of you supported this.2 points

I feel we shouldn't rule out 'self delusional' so quickly. Also you forgot the judge's daughter is currently making millions as an activist against trump. How come you haven't replied to any posts about the "extra crime tacked on" or the fact that the most qualified witness in the United States wasn't allowed to testify? Until you can make some reasonable headway on these key talking points, pictures like the one I posted of Biden are perfectly accurate.1 point

Yeah, maybe. I don't think I ever denied that. Does Trump deserve it ? Would he do the same if he had the chance ? This is why I'm staying away from the whole moral angle. If politics is a cesspool don't expect me to show up with my white gloves and a pack of sani-wipes...1 point
-
I'm pretty sure that the adults living in the real world saw the "extra crime" get tacked on after the trial, and before deliberation, which Trump and his lawyers never even got to defend against. I'm sure that the adults living in the real world saw the FEC chair - the country's most important witness in this case - banned from the courtroom while a known perjurer took the stand. You're trying to start an important dialogue about the planet's foremost "democracy" while pretending this wasn't a sham trial... Grow up myata. This isn't a joke anymore, and this bogus conviction was more than just some punchline: it's a broadside against democracy. If you're keeping stock, leftists are now completely fine with police committing crimes to start show trials against political opponents, convicting political opponents in farcical trials, assuming gov't control of the media in Ukraine, and banning opposition parties in Ukraine, etc. You guys are on a fascist rampage and yet you still think of yourselves as decent people.1 point

Fiction 1: Your entry into this conversation is a fiction. Your premise is that the only reason for this murder is because "Democrats cheer on the lawlessness in the streets." That is patently false. Whether anyone cheered on these protesters isn't relevant and if there was "cheering" it didn't precipitate anything. This was a peaceful protest. Any "lawlessness" is not applicable to the crowd he encountered in the crosswalk. Perry is the one who was lawless. He ran the red light (law broken) allegedly while texting (law broken) and drove into a crowd that was literally in the crosswalk, where pedestrians have the right of way (law broken). It is a fact that every bit of lawlessness that precipitated this particular incident was on the part of the premeditated murderer who has now been freed by a cynical, self-interested governor looking to score cheap political points. You claimed that the "crowd stopped him" as if they were the actors inciting the incident. Again, a fiction. The crowd simply existed in a space they were legally permitted to exist--the crosswalk--where Perry was the party taking the illegal action that precipitated the encounter. Yes, the crowd reacted to nearly being struck, but Perry was the actor that caused the encounter. And, finally, Perry shot a man unlawfully. The "lawlessness" in this incident is entirely on one side of the argument, and it isn't yours. Yet you spin fictions about it. Perry fantasized about killing protesters. He expressed extreme racial animus. He described, in detail, how he would conduct the shooting, and then lived out his fantasy as described. Read the already-linked trial evidence. He debated with a friend the conditions under which one could shoot protestors and get away with it -- "a good shoot." Then he searched (on record) for where the protests were happening and then went out of his way to take himself to Austin and to those protests. The evidence was overwhelming. So overwhelming that a jury of 12 Texans--where gun rights and "stand your ground" protections always get the benefit of the doubt, could not muster up any reasonable doubt that Perry was guilty of murder. Because he jury got a full tour of this creep's mind: 76 pages of racist, radicalized unhinged extremism. They got to watch him obsess over videos about killing protesters and discuss at length why it was okay. This pardon is a shameful act. And one doesn't have to be "liberal" to recognize that. Yeah I understand the "logic". The problem is that you're tacitly admitting that these sites report the actual news, and not only what its audience wants to hear. The same cannot be said for Fox News. 😑1 point

The boosters were authorized on the basis of the purported efficacy of the original shots. Basically, they went with "Well, the first shots were great, so these ones must be, too." Boosters were tested on 8 mice and antibodies were detected. As I've said before - antibodies are only a small part of the entire immune system. You can inject pink lemonade and develop antibodies. It's not an indication of immunity. I went over the booster information in the Trickle thread when they first came out. There's a huge issue with the titers. There are no RCT trials. There are a lot of doctors on social media leading the charge to refuse any further boosters until RCTs are done. It's been long enough, years, the trials and testing need to be done properly.1 point

What additional crime? They never actually said what it was Merchan gave the jury of a menu of what they could choose even though they never actually explained the crimes or the FACT he was never even indicted for any of those other crimes. Merchan didn't allow the FEC expert to take the stand to explain why the hush money payments were not a campaign violation. Merchan didn't recuse himself when his own daughter works for Democrats to help them fund raise and literally was making money off the trial Merchan allowed the testimony of Stormy Daniels even though it had 0 bearing on the case. Merchan didn't grant a change of venue when there was 0 way Trump would get a fair trial in Manhattan which voted over 80% democrat. They seated a jury in less than a week, whereas in most cases of this nature would of taken months to seat. Merchan put a gag order on Trump not allowing him to respond to prosecution witnesses attacking him. Merchan show undue favoritism towards the prosecution essentially allowing them to say and do whatever they want while overruling and admonishing the defense for objecting too much Merchan threatened a defense witness with striking his testimony and yelled at him for rolling his eyes at the judge because the judge was sustaining every objection the prosecution made. Jury's look towards the judge to call balls and strikes but when the defense was batting it seemed like the strike zone was from dugout to dugout and when the prosecution was batting the dug out was the size of the catcher mitt. This entire trial was designed with a giant thumb on the scales of lady justice to get the verdict they wanted.1 point

This investigation started years ago, long before Trump announced he was running in 2024. It's not even about just sources. He can barely finish a sentence without lying, and the lies are often absurd and fall apart on even cursory fact-checking. The long parade of folks who've worked with him or for him that he's thrown under the bus or who've resigned out of disgust for the man should be a red flag, but not for the MAGA cult.1 point

That's counterintuitive. The other Federal cases likely won't see a trial before the election. It's been a critique of the current AG, that he's taken way to long to bring the other charges forward. And it was Barr who declined to pursue Trump back in 2018 when he was named a co-conspirator in this hush money affair. Only Michael Cohen faced consequences.1 point

Many of the Trump fanatics are very challenged in looking at things like legal cases. Logically I mean. Basically they are tribal in nature, so they are bad at analysis and they just look at things like loyalty, my country right or wrong etc For people who are looking for actual things about this case that might be seen as unfair to Trump, have a read of this. https://news.syr.edu/blog/2024/05/07/law-professor-the-manhattan-district-attorneys-convoluted-legal-case-against-donald-trump-gets-more-convoluted/ There may be enough here to get him off on appeal, but his lawy ers don't see m competent enough to go there. The main thing I see is that the misdemeanor part was outside the statute of limitations, and that's necessary to prove the stronger charge.1 point

For those who think this verdict was unfair, what do you say to the point that there were 34 charges, and an actual jury of his peers found him guilty on all of them? Doesn't it leave scant room for corruption? Honest question.1 point

So what? That is not the final agreement Russia agreed to. That is not the final agreement that Bush agreed to. That is not the final agreement NATO agreed to. You tried to pass this off as some kind of formal agreement that the US backstabbed Russia on. That is the language of Putin. No such deal was ever formally agreed to by NATO or the US. Yet you tried to claim the US backstabbed Russia. Bush clearly said Baker was out of line and Baker himself admitted he was over his skis. There is nothing honest with how you have framed this or continue to try to frame it. You are literally pushing the same argument Putin is making, pushing his propaganda. You are the one justifying it starting to begin with. Now, surprise surprise, you want Ukraine to quit. Is it any wonder when you push Putin propaganda, you justify the war, you side with Russia, you ignore the nefarious things Russia does, and now your idea of peace is Russia winning and Russia setting the terms for winning, and our bailing on Ukraine... oh gee, why would we ever accuse you of supporting Russia and Putin?! Its a real mystery.1 point
-
It's a ridiculous argument. And one I predicted you would make. If someone were to say we do not want Nazis moving to Canada because we don't like Nazis and we don't agree with what they believe in or how they behave, that would not be prejudice. That would simply be an acknowledgment that their cultural nature is not compatible with our own. In this case you are trying to argue that he doesn't like these people and therefore that's why he believes that they are bad people. In reality they are bad people and that's why he doesn't like them. That is 100% different. So now you are attempting to debate on an ad hominem attack where you attempt to discredit his entire argument without discussing it instead of dealing with the facts that he has presented. That is dishonest Mike. If you feel that their culture is different than what he is presenting you can make that argument. But dismissing the whole thing and telling him he can go sit in the car instead of doing that is dishonest.1 point

Intelligent educated people discuss things this way. Had you EVER attended a legitimate school (in a red state) you wouldn't be so stupid. It is going to be LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP versus Unelected Joe and it looks like Trump is even going to flip a few blue states in the process. Voter fraud or not, this looks like it will be the biggest landslide victory in history and it's going to be Trump's victory.1 point

First off Iran is not an Arab country. It has been occupied by Arab loving terrorists but the nation of Iran is Persian not Arab and do not refer to the regime as Iran. It is Islamic Republic who is full of hate for everyone even its own citizens is not Iran which has a rich 2500 years of Zoroastrian culture or the peace loving nation of Iran. If you wish to eliminate the threat posed by Islamic republic, then help the nation of Iran and opposition groups to eliminate this terrorist regime from the face of the planet. Second Israel may be tiny area-wise but it is a powerful country. Don't try to falsely represent Israel as weak or victim. Yes I agree it is surrounded by hostile neighbors but it has the support of powerful armies and both financial and military support from most powerful countries in the world not to mention the powerful Zionist lobbyists. Peace cannot be achieved for Israel and it will be exposed to the risk of destruction for as long as it existence is based on oppression and revenge. Two state solution in which both Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace alongside is the only solution otherwise its enemies are getting stronger every day. Hamas and Hezbolah did not exist in 1967 when Israel crushed the three Arab armies in 6 days but now 50 years later they have a bigger problem in which after eight months they are stuck in a no-win war. Islamic republic will soon become nuclear too and denying Palestinian state will not change that. Believe me I would be the last to support Arabs or Palestinians or Muslims but when I see a one-sided unfair post I cannot stay silent to it.1 point
