Far left bigot AOC goes after Christians who put out a nice Super Bowl ad about Jesus. Comments likely violate 1st and 14th ammendments. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/aoc-criticizes-christian-super-bowl-ad-jesus-would-not-fund-commercials-fascism-benign2 points

A few other points that Dennis Prager define as the differences. Ideal Primary Identity of an American Left: world citizen Right: American citizen How to Make a Good Society Left: abolish inequality Right: develop each citizen's moral character View of America Left: profoundly morally flawed; inferior to any number of European countries Right: greatest force for good among nations in world history Gender Left: a social construct Right: male and female Do these differences between left and right sound similar to what is happening in Canada? Of course.2 points

Ouch. She lost her race card, her fake credentials, and assumed a full share of white guilt all at the same time. You can't really hold it against her that she lied though, she's a leftist after all, and that's just par for the course.2 points

Trudeau never took covid seriously. Sorry. He just had good press. He was late to the game on every front. While other nations were preparing he was calling out conservatives as racist for wanting to close the borders to Chinese visitors. We were late to issue guidance to wear masks. Unlike other nations, when we did close the borders to visitors we kept it wide open for Canadians and businessmen and didn't do any health screening at all. Instead of contracting with western pharmaceutical companies for a vaccine we relied on China. How'd that work out? Then he had to scramble to butt into line by paying huge amounts of money (he won't tell us how much) to get the vaccines in a more timely manner. All of which goes on top of him giving away our PPE and letting warehouses close down and tossing out what PPE we had because it had expired over the years while not buying more. The only thing the Trudeau government did during covid which worked was paying a fortune to finally buy vaccines. Everything else was a complete screwup. Including when they were finally goaded into doing some sort of screening and quarantining. What a mess that was! A multi-million dollar FUBAR from start to finish! And btw, his stern attitude about vaccines only came at election time. Before that he had the same policy as the Conservatives because he said mandates would be too divisive. Well, when it came to getting elected he tossed any concern for divisiveness out the window! Edit. Oh, wait, I forgot that at the height of the 'stay home, don't go anywhere, don't meet with anyone!" orders he decided to go to the byward market in Ottawa to join a BLM demo and 'take a knee with his fist in the air' UGH! And while the border between Quebec and Ontario was frozen to prevent the spread, he and his entourage went up to Meech Lake in Quebec to enjoy themselves. Screw the rules. The rules are for the peasants, not the kings.2 points

Nobody planned to kill children. Bombing is not an invasion. Voting for war and voting to empower the president to take military action are not the same thing. Do words just not matter to you? Mearsheimer is providing a heterodox analysis of events, so yes, most people will think he is wrong. Specifically, as has been discussed here ad nauseum, he (and others with this perspective) must take as a foundational premise the notion that sovereign states near Russia are not actually sovereign, they have no self governance and are indeed vassal states. That's crap. Pure crap. It's embracing the bully's veto. Of course Ukraine wanted to join a defensive alliance to protect itself from an aggressive Russia. And of course that annoyed Russia, because Putin is a classic bully. But Ukraine trying to form alliances to prevent Russian invasion is NOT a legitimate provocation for Russian invasion. It's like a domestic violence victim getting hit because they ask for protection from being hit. -- Mearsheimer would would say that's provocation and it's the victim's fault. It's crap. And yes, it is logical to choose the better of two options. If that bullet list represents your areas of interest though, it's not even a close contest. You don't like civilian casualties from drone strikes? Great, no one does. The Obama administration used drone strikes and reported civilian casualties. You don't like that. Fine. Trump tripled the rate of drone strikes and adopted an official policy of NOT reporting casualties. You don't like that the Obama administration, as part of an international coalition, provided air support for the rebels in Libya. Well, okay, I guess. But is that really a contrast to the multiple decades in multiple wars from the Bush admin? And on and on. It's fine if you don't like those things--most people are in agreement that things that go wrong/badly are undesirable. A mote is not a plank, and if I have to choose one, I'm picking the mote every time.2 points

He got back in office because he made it clear he took COVID seriously, whereas the other guy was mealy-mouthed and danced around the topic. He didn't get back in office because everyone thought he was doing a great job.2 points

I agree with your overall assessment. I would have said "far left". But maybe it's not that far anymore. Once upon a time there was a moderate left, and a moderate right. We knew about extremists, but they were put in a different category, essentially fringe element, considered belonging to neither left nor right. We didn't pay attention to them back then, we had important work to do. I cannot explain how these extremists have become increasingly normalized. It may require a separate thesis. Perhaps it follows the same pattern as Spengler wrote in Twilight of the West. Over time a kind of decay sets in. When good men stop resisting, bad men win.1 point

It's like the line from the movie Gangs of New York: "You can always convince one half of the poor people to kill the other half." White and blacks. Whites and Jews. Whites and Latinos. Etc, etc... Leftist leaders rely on hatred and division to get the poor people's votes because their awful, self-serving policies always harm the poor the most.1 point

I won't call you a liar. Rather, you are mis-informed. The Electoral College voted 306 votes for Vice President Biden and 232 votes for President Trump. I am surprised you do not know these things, given you say you were educated in Florida.1 point

It's not necessary to prove the 2020 election was fraudulent to offer overwhelming evidence it was rigged. Absolute proof of fraud may not even be possible since the Progressives have hijacked legislative structure. But yeah, Zuckerbucks, pandemic lawfare changing election law, collusion between government and social media etc. It was rigged. Was it also fraudulent. Probably, but the courts will never allow that to be proven. See the Arizona mid-terms for support of that one. That one's not over yet but it's doubtful the cheated candidates of Arizona will ever get a fair trial.1 point

Groovy... @Michael Hardner - You like to wax on about how you hate this "culture war". I submit this short thread as of now, as evidence that it's not conservatives or even the evil "right wing nationalists" like me, who are responsible for the slag discourse on boards like this. But rather the smug, holier-than-thou attitude "Libbies"...to coin a term...take as an immediate posture. And the passive aggressive thing is sooo...yucky to listen to. Having gotten that off my chest... @bcsapper - I'm going to resist any inclinations I have to retort to your...rather revealing comments. Thanks for playing...1 point

Now that CBC is part of the TNI, and selecting their narratives/sources along with BBC and the American MSM, there's no difference between their "news" and ours. The Laptop was Russian disinformation there so it was the same here. The covid narratives are identical. Same ship, different pile. The only place where actual information can get to Canadians is through the internet now. That's why the turd needs to cancel it. His narrative cannot be questioned, that's why he gave the MSM here billions to keep us in the dark. The internet is a huge fly in his ointment.1 point

As I recall she was asked if she thought the deaths of 500,000 children caused by the sanctions were justified, to which she candidly replied "yes". This was one of those "You can put on your war stockings and pretend that you went silverback vs the balloon because we need another sovereign country to talk tough about balloon-shooting." It's a win/win for Biden and the turd, and the MSM will hail it as a major victory no matter what. If Trump shot down those balloons it would be called an act of nuclear aggression against our trading partners, and the balloons would be called "The beloved freedom symbols of the Chinese people."1 point

It's interesting to learn how these so called 'expert consultation panels' are selected. Instead of 'handpicked, filtered out, paid for, and those who broadly agree with the consorship regime', we might be far better off selecting ordinary folks at random from a telephone directory... "I am obliged to confess that I should sooner live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University. Not, heaven knows, because I hold lightly the brainpower or knowledge or generosity or even the affability of the Harvard faculty: but because I greatly fear intellectual arrogance, and that is a distinguishing characteristic of the university which refuses to accept any common premise." ..... This is one of the main reasons I can no longer be a liberal. When naive and ignorant leaders continue to say how unfair, racist, and colonial our country has been (even though evidence illustrates how exceptionally progressive Canada has been relative to almost every other country and tribe), after a while people believe it. We start pretending that Indigenous, blacks, and most racialized and ethnic groups never invaded, killed, kept slaves, or traded them. In Canada there were Indigenous groups that behaved far worse than the Canadian government. The reward for suppressing some facts and exaggerating others is new forms of injustice. That’s why Trudeau has been irresponsible and helped foment the division and new forms of racism we see today. He was naive to think that his rhetoric wouldn’t be used for nefarious purposes. He’s not alone among western leaders. The problem too is that pointing out Trump’s antics made it easier for Liberals and Democrats to justify their rhetoric. The focus on race is making us come apart in a country that didn’t have a lot of racial division just five years ago. Much of what’s happening is the spillover effect from George Floyd’s death in the US, a country with a much more brutal history with race that is today one of the most accepting countries from a policy perspective. So if in Canada we don’t have racist policies in government or organizations, what we’re really talking about is improving people’s attitudes towards groups outside their in-groups. What’s going to do that? Certainly not trying to make the people who are alive today who happen to be a certain colour feel guilty or like bad people. Taking or destroying their property won’t do it either. Right now the only racist policies I know of are the Indian Act (which the government wants changed but most Indigenous want to keep) and these new “racialized-only” job postings and unfair treatment of people who are accused of racism without any evidence and who are mistreated by their employers on the basis of such false accusations, even after investigations dismiss the accusations, as in the TDSB. Actually some of the content of mandatory equity training that is sweeping across organizations is also an example of systematic racism because it makes value judgments about racial groups such as, “White people are fragile” and “White people are privileged” or “Black people are oppressed.” Clearly some white people are not privileged and some black people are. Generalizing about all people who happen to be a certain colour is racism.1 point

The Electoral College got those numbers from fraudulent votes being cast. Every Florida fourth grader understands the Electoral College. And it was YOUR side of the aisle who claimed George W. Bush did not defeat Algore, so you have ZERO room to talk. The counting was STOPPED on election night, when Trump was a landslide ahead. That's when the voter fraud took place.0 points
