  1. A day later and still no calls. Probably a rigged voting system
    3 points
  2. Also false. You don't seem to actually know ANYTHING about this voting situation in Arizona which has got you in such a conspiratorial tizzy. The polling locations are determined at the county level, by the Board of Supervisors. Here is the law. 16-411. Designation of election precincts and polling places; voting centers; electioneering; wait times A. The board of supervisors of each county, on or before October 1 of each year preceding the year of a general election, by an order, shall establish a convenient number of election precincts in the county and define the boundaries of the precincts as follows: Reducing the number of locations is also a mixed bag. After the (conservative led) Supreme Court chipped away at the Voting Rights Act back in 2016, Republican areas across the country started cutting back on polling locations in a not-so-subtle effort to suppress minority voting. Maricopa County, which, again, has a Republican Board of Supervisors, cut a shit-ton of polling locations before the 2020 election. But they added a handful back this year and switched to vote centers (vote any any of them instead of your assigned precinct). My point here is not to be YOUR personal fact checker, but to say just spend 2 minutes to educate yourself on something before forming- and especially before sharing- an opinion. Don't just parrot what some asshat says on Twitter or a chain email or something. Literally everything you've complained about and theorized as a potential Democratic election tampering is a) not tampering by either party, but just an imperfect reality, and b) under the control of Republicans anyway.

  5. I wonder what the reaction is from western feminists and Muslim women and girls - especially the Canadian born - to the bravery and determination of women in Iran to not wear these stupid things. I also wonder what the women of Iran feel towards western Muslims determined to don the headscarf they call oppressive.

  11. Canada is economically beholden to China at this point, so there is not much room to manoeuvre. Canada also depends on them for certain essential products, like hospital supplies, PPE and drugs, to name a few. Once upon a time Canada had a very strong relationship with the USA. As China began to ramp up its industrial capability, their so-called great leap forward, Canada increasingly shifted its trade towards China. Globalists touted the benefits of "free trade" would bring us closer to world peace, bridge the divide between east and west. Others saw this as a lie, it amounted to exploitation of the Chinese people and essentially, making a deal with the devil, that increasing China's power and influence would only make them stronger, and the communist party leadership are not to be trusted. I read that today Canada gets like 90% of its drugs from China. We make very little medication here. Now there is a terrible shortage of children's medication, without much explanation why this has happened, nor any mention of someone having a plan to do something about it, IE where is the goddam government, is this not their thing. You would think so. I'll tell you where they are... this week Trudeau's reps walked away from the premiers meeting in BC, held to discuss the health care crisis. The man was too busy to attend, and after those shenanigans, clearly not interested in talking about it. He does have the time though to attend and be on a drag queen TV show. Those acting skills really come through when you need them, I tell you. .... But now I hear my friends can cross the US border, and buy all the meds that their babies need. Seems the US has enough supply, but not Canada. Why exactly izzit? I say 1 + 1 = 2 ... Canadians need to connect the dots. Figure out where the Venn diagram intersects...

  13. This is what stupid is , trump sending his killers to the capital which we all know was preplanned months ahead of the election, Then once they stopped the election to make a recount on illegal voting that he knew didn't exist. That literally everyone in the country knew didn't exist , he was going to have the recount on this lie but decide to respect the second recount and let Biden take office , He tried to bring down this country as a Traitor, as are all his supporters.

  19. Aw, bless your heart. Every "chart" I've posted for you has been (obviously) a screenshot from a primary source (look it up) and has linked to the source. And you could verify the data with a simple click of the mouse. But you can't seem to manage it. You are definitely a troll, and I don't think you've ever been someone's intellectual better. -- Both may explain why you post utterly ridiculous claims that can be dismissed with a quick glance at a primary source. Yep, still voting for a satirical character. No sane person could actually believe the things you are saying. They're just too outrageous.

  20. I never said the Iranians were Arabs anywhere in my post or saying they're all the same. I made an analogy with the Arab Spring, where Democratic forces were supposedly fighting to instill freedom in Muslim countries of the Middle East, which led to ... nothing or that sort. As it does here in Iran, and so did protests back in 2009. And talking about Arab countries like you do, it seems like you overlooked my acknowledgement of a country that was vastly advanced in terms of economics but also in terms of societal norms; Tunisia. The same can be said about their education and their freedoms they had before as you stated Iran had. Another country resembling more to Iran demographically wise, Afghanistan, is another country which had great individual freedoms, but decades of misgoverning led to the population being totally in the grips of the Islamic Clergy. Not all Muslim countries are the same, and each has its own culture and flavour. But one thing is clear; Islam, being prevalent, leads to dysfunctional systems. I do not believe in Iran getting democratic or overthrowing their government for the best. If Tunisia and Afghanistan weren't enough, look at Turkey, a not-Arab country, another country which had many freedoms. It is totally falling from grace, because the Muslim government decides to apply what Muslims believe in. And what Muslims believe in, is clearly not equality, freedom or peace. For those reasons, I find your takes very optimistic, borderline child like. You have pure thoughts, very innocent, and want the better, I think. But this is not La La Land. We're talking about a tyrannic regime and a population that supported that regime for many decades. And also a country that may declare war for the worse.

  21. I suppose. Can a cretin like you read one? Can you explore the data in other ways. This is your MO, troll. You spout comically outrageous lies (that are usually the exact opposite of the truth) so blatant that everyone can see through them immediately- and then pretend that authoritative sources which prove you definitively wrong are somehow fictional-- then you double down on the stupid. You don't want to argue about policy, you want to say insane shit like "Florida is the coldest state in the country. I have amazing sources. I know some guys there who shivered once. Anyone can make a temperature chart, you liars!" I feel like you must be playing some sort of character. I don't think anyone could survive being that dumb or stay employed being 180 degrees from right on a constant basis.

  22. So you post a biased left wing site? First, CATO is not a right wing site. Not even close. It is a free market LIBERTARIAN think tank, which means it is a lot higher on the brain chart than any liberal. Second, the article gives the CASES where Social Security is deemed a WELFARE PROGRAM. Find someone with an education who has read the Constitution to explain to you who the United States Supreme Court is. Third, the philosophy of the Fleming v. Nestor case was first revealed on a large scale by Ronald Reagan, (formerly governor of California and best president of all times.) https://www.reaganlibrary.gov/reagans/ronald-reagan/time-choosing-speech-october-27-1964 From the speech: I know this because I used to sell life insurance, which means I had to be schooled on annuities. Sosha Curity, in the private sector, would be listed as a life annuity. That means money is deposited over a life time, usually tax deferred. At the point of retirement, the lump sum of money "annuitizes." That means the retiree gets a monthly sum of money, based on the insurance company's actuarial computations of that account's investments and earned interest. Thing is, ANY insurance company using the same crooked accounting methods as the federal government would be SHUT DOWN by that same government. Just forget it. This is WAY over your blue state third grade education.

  27. Truthfully, I think it's a good idea to NOT go to religious sources for insight into homosexuality, lesbianism, pedophelia or any other twisted human frailties. Religions aren't too kind to homos, dykes and pedos. The Bible calls homos an abomination and that they should be put to death. Islamic countries actually EXECUTE homos by throwing them off tall buildings. As a civilized American mainstream conservative, I find that barbaric. I personally disagree with homos being declared a protected class when it comes to marriage. When it comes to slippery slopes, it's only a matter of time before American liberals catch up to the extremist Islamist practice of MARRYING minor children, often against their will. Homosexualty, lesbianism, pedophelia, etc. Leave them alone but don't give them special privileges. As far as putting someone to death for a crime, I'm all for that occurring in the private sector, but my jury is still out on the efficiency of the Death Penalty. Certainly, I disagree with the death penalty for a homo.

  34. Did you manage to get a high school diploma? That article did not list one single regulation. Don’t you see that you go to websites which are fake? The Washington Examiner is not an actual newspaper. There’s no actual fact being reported. They’re just cheerleading for Trump. And, even if all that were true, it still does not answer any of my questions: Which factory reopened? Who got a factory job from a factory that closed in China? You can’t answer those questions because those things didn’t happen.
    1 point
  35. What a load of nonsense. You just made that up. Name one of these regulations. You can’t. List the number of re-hired employees. You can’t. Name the factories that re-opened. You can’t. Name one piece of clothing that Trump manufactured in the United States. He even made his MAGA hats in China. What a joke! He even imported his wives. Let me teach you something: When I manufactured electronics, I could choose identical factories in Mexico and in China. Same factory owner. Mexicans are paid nearly nothing. I could take my product, put it on a truck and drive it from Guadalajara to Texas or California for almost nothing. No import duties. Despite the container shipping costs, it was still considerably cheaper to manufacture in China.

  37. Did you quote someone else's post? I once quoted a post by @Boges during the time when mild swearing was still allowed. (Thanks to Charles). I got a warning message from the bot moderator stating I had contravened forum rules. "Bad" words are not allowed. Yet I had no bad words, and none were highlighted. I was being good. After much frustration I gave up posting, which was a pity because I had some really good and important stuff to say. But later, I saw that Boges dropped an f-bomb in his post which appeared in the quote in my post. We know how much he likes to do that. Too bad by then I forgot what I was going to say, so I couldn't re-write it. Besides, what is one to do, go back and edit Boges' post? Absolutely out of the question. Poppycock, pure and sublime. To be honest I don't even know why this program is being used. Bad language was not a big problem here. The real problem is, bad ideas.

  38. Quoted for truth Abortion was on the ballot in 5 states including Red states and voters chose to protect or improve abortion access in EVERY one of them: Montana, Kentucky, Michigan California, Vermont Add that to Kansas earlier this year and the pro-choice movement is 6-0 against anti-choice when voters get a say Midterms Show Republican Anti-Abortion Agenda Relies on Minority Rule … In light of Tuesday’s election results, it’s important for us to remember that just because the far right achieved success in implementing these restrictions, their pro-natalist agenda has never been a reflection of the popular will. Instead, their victories are a reflection of a powerful minority’s ability to enforce their desires into policy, law, and practice. The election results are nonetheless a major victory, earned not by the Democratic mainstream but by the reproductive justice organizers fighting on the front lines. Voters in Vermont, California, and Michigan approved ballot measures to enshrine abortion rights in their state constitutions. Voters in Montana rejected a misleading and pernicious fetal personhood bill, and in deep-red Kentucky, voters defeated an attempt to ban all abortion in the state…

  39. Forbes is a fine source. It's an opinion piece reflecting the authors opinion only, but it's informed/expert and pretty reasonable. Fine with me. However, there are about 4 things that should inform your reading. 1. The article is from March 2021, just two months after Biden took office. It's not an analysis of what has happened, but the authors prediction about what may happen. 2. The author predicted that Biden would suppress increases in supply. That didn't happen, as you can see for yourself, domestic production had rebounded to near-record levels. 3. California had a real emissions problem to solve -- one in which the public didn't have to listen to scientists, but could see, smell and taste for themselves. So good on them for solving it. We have a global problem more that needs solving, and efforts will be gradually made to that end, but there's nothing really happening yet to drive prices immediately. And for that matter it's not at all clear that a transition to renewables would have any upward pressure on gas prices. Demand goes down. 4. When the author writes of California, note that he's explicitly taking policy changes over the course of 20 years. Biden had been president for 20 months. This is what I was telling you about the decisions Biden is making today not having any effect on a small time scale. Nothing has happened yet. The point, as before, is that Biden may not be as friendly to the fossil fuel industries as you'd like, but the prices today have almost nothing to do with Biden. You can disapprove of his perspective and speculate about future consequences but you can see that US production today is just fine. It's the rest of the world that is slower to recover.

  40. It was sure nice to see the people of Romania finally take back their freedoms from that communist dictator Ceausescu who was allowed to enslave his people under communism for way too many decades. It was nice to see that cornered communist coward fly off in his helicopter like the rat that he was. But in the end, he did not get too far. In the end he and his commie biotch were both arrested and placed up against the wall and executed. The people finally won a battle. Those Romanian people reminded me of our own little revolution that we had last winter called the truckers convoy peaceful revolution that was broken up by our own WEF globalist Marxist dictator in Ottawa. I heard that the rat took off and hid somewhere rather than face the people. Communist cowards like him are good at that. When the going gets tough for the commies, they run like rats and the cowards that they really are. Sadly, for we the peasants, the WEF globalist Marxist dictator in Ottawa is still in control and still running and still trying to ruin Canada and Canadians lives. I hope that the day will come when we can all see this Marxist exit off the rooftop of the Parliament building with a para-sail and sails back over to Quebec where the liberal Marxist belongs. Quebec is full of Marxist lovers. Of course, he could crash before he makes it to Quebec? Awe, too bad, so sad indeed for such a thing to happen. ?
