Shocker of shockers - Poilievre has stacked his leadership team with TWO OF NINE members being LGBTQ2S. This answers the question definitively whether Pierre intends to go to the centre or even... the left ?!? I may be too conservative to vote for him at this point but I WILL KEEP AN OPEN MIND.... Also How much GAY is in that sentence ? OMG... it says CAUCUS and O'TOOLE ! Ok, calm down everyone... ? Everybody please help out and pick a conservative up off the floor, thanks... https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-commons-leadership-team-1.65813173 points

If she opposes abortion, she must be pro-wife, pro-motherhood. This is one of the main purposes of marriage but it is being denigrated today by society. But I have not seen anything about her beliefs on it. Sadly I think Pierre Poilievre has said he is pro choice; a poor belief to have. That is the wrong position to have. The slaughter of the babies must be stopped. I noticed Pierre was proudly carrying his little toddler around. Babies, not yet born, are a priceless treasure and their life is sacred. I am not sure how anyone could be ok with that little toddler Pierre is carrying being aborted earlier.3 points

........................................ will be through the GTA, and Quebec! Immigrants and non-whites will carry him like a banner to victory! There! I said it. He'll succeed where others had failed. Unless I missed it, news media hadn't been showing clips from the Conservative race in which Poilievre had won by 68% - a record-breaking number, according to pundits - nor even mentioned the biggest surprise that has been seen for the first time in Canadian politics - or, perhaps, the media just overlooked this due to their distraction over a historic event that they cover daily - that they didn't show another HISTORIC MOMENT! The introduction of the wife of Polievre who hails from VENEZUELA! When did we ever seen that happen in Canadian politics - especially in the Conservative Party of Canada? I don't know if it was panned in any political talk show yesterday. The introduction speech by Polievre's wife, Anaida Galindo. Poilievre is being subtly linked with White Supremacists by some lying fake news people (citing his association with the Freedom Convoy). I suppose that was one way they were planning to do their character assassination of this guy - defining him as "in bed with white supremacists," and therefore someone to be wary of. That warning is of course, indirectly being given to all people of color and immigrants. That's how the Conservatives has been demonized. Remember what they alluded about Stephen Harper. Perhaps, that's one big reason why the Conservatives could never take the GTA, though not for lack of trying! It's not about the economy or housing market for this block which is comprised of many immigrants. Because majority of immigrants came from religious background - therefore many of them tend to have conservative or right-leaning values. They shun the Conservatives out of fear, of having a racist leader. They're (immigrants) tend to be more trusting of and gullible to the lying media. But times has changed - and so are the views towards media (thanks to Trump for that). We can smell a spin and a lie a hundred miles away! Lol - even celebs are so eerily quiet these days - the mouthy ones - like Baldwin (the sour faced one), de Niro and Streep! ? We see a few posts here already............ regurgitating BLINDLY, what the lying scumbag media suggests - alluding to Hitler! Lol - a little head-shake there for the ignorant - who put all the mandates so far? And who was strutting like Hitler? As for racism - who got caught parroting a black face?2 points

It’s not about someone’s sexual identity or orientation. It’s about policies. One can oppose someone’s lifestyle and still agree with that person’s views on certain issues, perhaps many issues. No one here wants to criminalize homosexuality, to my knowledge. Lantsman is a very admirable MP who deserves a Cabinet position if the CPC wins the government, in my opinion. I also admire Leslyn Lewis, a social conservative. As long as Poilievre lets people speak their minds and doesn’t throw people under the bus unless they are clearly mean-spirited or hateful, he has my support.2 points

We produce 1.5% co2. We could drop that to 0% and it would not do one iota for CC. Nothing. Why are we cutting our throats for nothing.? It's all about photo ops and keep the sheep in line and in fear. You want real action, we start shipping LNG to China. Get them off coal and supplying Europe would be bad for Putin and better for the enviroment. The boy could be a hero, but he just to fixed on Net zero which is silly.2 points

Melissa Lantsman is a favorite of many as she was there with the truckers as opposed to the dudes with the clubs & horses.2 points

that would be to Poilievre's advantage since the next three years are going to be a generational crisis as millions of Canadians are wiped out by inflation you want Poilievre to win in a landslide2 points
-
What is happening is that a crisis requires us to change our way of life but we don’t want to do that so we claim there’s no crisis. Typical human thinking.2 points

Unfortunately, yes. He's said to be pro-choice. That's a big lump in my throat. He's a social progressive. But if we need a change, and for the sake of Canada's economy - and other non-social direction - it's something I just have to pinch my nose, and pray for.2 points

But I don't understand what is "anti-wife" about their romance and elopement? Can you please explain.2 points

Excluding “trolls” from discussion is a terrible idea because some people think that anyone who disagrees with them is a troll. This is exactly why Musk considered buying Twitter and why many journalists have left Democrat-only rags like the New York Times or communist organizations like TorStar and the CBC.2 points

If Leslyn Lewis is not enough evidence to show that the Conservative Party is not a hotbed of white supremacists................................ then Anaido Galindo Poilievre, had surely busted that myth. I wonder if Galindo-Poilievre had been with her husband as he campaigned all over the country. If so, I wonder how many non-whites and immigrants among that huge percentage of new members have signed up with him - because of her? Poilievre should have his wife do the same introduction at every campaign event! It's important for people to see that there's nothing to fear! I didn't even know until that night Poilievre is married to a Venezuelan. Do you? Somehow, media never mentioned that. Why would they? They won't mention it. So CPC - SHOW CANADIANS! Poilevre has a very sensible and practical policy for immigrants to cut the red tape, and let them work in their profession. We need doctors! Nurses! Care-givers! Etc. If we are opening our doors to immigrants for economic purposes, then let's do that! Indeed, I hope to see Polievre putting Leslyn Lewis and Roman Baber in high profile positions in his team. Concentrate on Quebec and GTA! And other places with large numbers of immigrants.2 points

Like many aspects of physician behaviour, call flight - the tendency of doctors in high call positions to migrate to lower ones if they can - has been insufficiently examined but it’s up there with a related factor, expert support, and income as a key driver of physician distribution. Even before the cities become irresistibly attractive to young grads, call flight was working its magic and sending doctors towards the hubs. As my link on the situation in Fogo Island illustrated, rural GPs may not only be on 1 in 1 call, i.e. every night, for weeks, months or even years, but can also be in the surreal situation of referring sick patients to their own care in small hospitals. You’re basically talking to yourself on an official basis at that stage. This was bad enough in ye olden days when not much was expected of a medical man but today every practitioner is judged by the same standards which are impossible to keep up under such circumstances. So doctors tend to move to the cities and, even better, to the universities where they have lots of residents and experts around them and can become academics opining from their comfy chairs on the situation in places like Fogo.1 point

Perhaps you can point out what Liberal policy or action has kept our inflation rate as low as you claim it is. Or is it just Justins luck we scored where we did. or like everything else is it an accounting trick. And are you really going to hang your vote for the liberals on that point alone? perhaps you can give a small list of things they have done, in the last 8 years that will guarantee your vote or change mine ? Do you really think that continued excess spending is good for the country.1 point

The purpose of a traditional marriage is to enhance a man's wealth and the father-in-law's status...or to enhance a man's status and his father-in-law's wealth. The issue of an heir and a spare is secondary, but important if the heir is male.1 point

Even to Toronto Star seems to be warming up to Pierre Poilievre. An article in yesterday's paper ends with this: "This past weekend, he showed he is an excellent communicator — in French and in Eng- lish. His wife, Anaida Galindo, is a terrific trilingual speaker who was born in Venezuela before immigrating to Montreal. She helps massage Poilievre’s rougher edges. While immaturity may have marked Poilievre’s first decade in Ottawa — such as the “f--k you guys” comment at committee and the suggestion Indigenous residential school survivors didn’t deserve compensation and should learn the value of hard work — she humanizes him. With a gorgeous wife and two beautiful young children, a former Conservative campaign strategist leaned over Saturday to say: “This is a package I can sell.” The party will now be focused on restoring hope to Canadians who feel they’ve lost control of their pocketbooks and their lives."1 point

I met a few of these people: Jean Chretien, Brian Mulroney, Michael Wilson, Joe Clark, David Dodge. I never met Jean Charest. I certainly never met Pierre Poileuvre. ====== JFK referred to the passing of a torch. ========= Sorry for misspelling his name: Poilievre. As I say, I never met him in person. I met Lucien Bouchard in a coffee shop on the 40 - he was driving a Saab. No joke, I don't know why, Poilievre reminds me of Bouchard.1 point

How could it not be under control? You're on what....5th shot now? In a year and half? Are the jabs not working? Is that what you're saying? For Pete's sake, even New Zealand, who imposed some of the harshest restrictions along with Canada, has given it up. New Zealand ends all restrictions imposed to tackle coronavirus pandemic (msn.com) The rest of the world has given it up and you're still calling for people to be fired from their careers, the economy to keep going into its death spiral, children (who have zero risk from covid) to have jab after jab after jab, who cares about the science! and be kept from going to school, masking, lockdowns...... Christ on a cracker, get over your abnormal fear. Continue clutching your "wubbies" - masks and social distancing - if you can't get over it, but for gawd's sake, leave the rest of us alone already.1 point
