Obviously, the few hundred former slaves experienced inter generational trauma. We are now in 2022 and hearing more and more about how racist and oppressive Canada is. Are we to believe these few hundred people from 1834 that were enslaved are still oppressed? It's been almost 200 years. Do Jewish people claim oppression in 2022 because of Nazi Germany in the 30 and 40's? Chinese people do not claim they face "barriers " in 2022 because of the Chinese Head Tax. Japanese are not talking about inter generational trauma despite WW2. All of three aforementioned groups do better than " whites " in earnings. Yet each has a legitimate claim to having faced systemic barriers and oppression. Why does only one group, based on a few hundred people 200 years ago, suffer from inter generational trauma? Now, we also have to believe that all Black people experience intergenerational trauma from slavery. Even immigrants from Africa who were never enslaved. Even people who immigrated here and are highly successful and would NEVER go back to their country of origin. People like Desmond and Anthony Morgan. Donald Trump's lawyers last week filed a 20 page declarative response to the matter of appointing a Special Master. In this document, the word "classified" and "classification" appear about 20 times, but nowhere do the President's lawyers claim that Trump declassified any of the documents. In fact, that claim has not been made in any legal filing yet. Why? Because it is bogus, and it cannot be upheld in court. There have already been Federal Court rulings stating that Classified information cannot be verbally declassified, without any system or process of notification. Otherwise, the relevant defense agencies would not know that the material was declassified, and they would continue to act as though, for instance, Secret Agent Man's identity is still secret, or that Secret Satellite System is still Secret, when it no longer is. Further, their claim that former Presidents have a claim of Executive Privilege is based on Executive Order 13589, claiming it gives former Presidents Executive Privilege. It only gives former Presidents Executive Privilege (which can be over-ridden by the current President) for the purpose of disclosing Presidential Records. Nothing whatsoever to do with keeping Presidential Records or Classified information at home. Also, President Biden has already stated that Trump has no Executive Privilege over his Presidential Records, so even EO13589 offers Trump no protection. In short: Trump's legal team is definitely afraid of claiming that Trump declassified any of these records, and their claim that he has Executive Privilege has no basis in reality. I think he pointed out since Canada became a country in 1867, there were no black slaves in Canada. Slavery had been abolished around 200 years ago and prior to that time, when it did exist, it was a relatively small number in British North America. So what is all the outrage about slavery in Canada? I think it is clear aboriginals in north America were not the saints in history prior to colonization many seem to try to portray themselves as.

Excellent post with much very important information. I also read that, back in history probably before colonization, aboriginals who took slaves sometimes treated them brutally or killed them. I once found an arrowhead near a tiny island which was called Massacre Island. Apparently the aboriginal women and children, who lived on the island, were killed by another tribe when the men were away probably hunting.

By and large the fossils are clear fossils of each species. They do not show transitions from one species to another. Renowned paleontologists will tell you this. Creationists do not disagree with the fact that mutations do occur at times as in the case of viruses or bacteria building resistance to antibiotics. But this is not Darwinian evolution. An example would be the new strains of Covid viruses that come out from time to time. Nobody disagrees about that. That is not Darwinism or evolution from one species to another. Holy Scripture says God created man in his own image and it says he gave man dominion over all fish, animals and the earth. He did not make man as just another animal but created him with a special place in the universe and in this way ordained the sanctity of human life. I respectfully disagree with the OP. We see evolution at work all the time. Germs evolve to survive antibiotics. We use an antibiotic to treat an infection. It kills 99.9% of the bacteria but 0.1% have a mutated genethat gives them an immunity to the antibiotic and they reproduce passing on that mutated gene, so the antibiotic loses effectiveness. That is evolution. My main disagreement is the idea that God choses favourites. Why would God favour humans over dogs, cats, bats and viruses. We are ALL God's creatures. All living organisms have a soul. There is no heirarchy of souls. The idea that humans are God's chosen creatures is akin to believing in war that God is on our side. How many times can you get this temporary amnesia in your lifetime - is twice the max? Can everyone do it on two different occasions or are some people just lucky? Is it also ok to destroy the majority of the evidence required, so that you can still technically comply by turning in all of the remaining evidence? Or is this all somehow related to your political affiliation, as the thread implies?

It makes absolutely no sense that anyone or any group can raise millions of dollars in order to promote political causes, and not be required to provide full audited accountings of how the money was spent. Democrat, Republican, whatever… they form tax-exempt organizations and those funds must be accounted for, it’s just that simple. Bannon raised money and his group stated repeatedly that 100% of all proceeds would fund construction of a wall, yet they kept a huge proportion of the money for themselves, apparently they didn’t declare it as income and they tried to hide the payments. It’s illegal to do that. And it wasn’t $5,000, it was over one million dollars. Then, Bannon decided that he didn’t need to respond to a Congressional subpoena. That the law didn’t apply to him. Now he can sit in a prison cell and ponder that. He might not like the US Congress, but the law is the law.
