The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer actually came from the FBI, and not from anyone who was charged for the alleged attempt. https://www.foxnews.com/media/tucker-carlson-reason-publics-confidence-fbi-plummeted If you read the article, you'll see that among other things: 1) the FBI created a FB page called "Patriot 3%ers" to get this going, 2) they offered a basement-dwelling pothead (who they smoked up with) credit cards with $5,000 on them so that he could buy guns and ammo on 5 different occasions and he refused. 3) The FBI came up with a plan to shoot guns at the governor's mansion and at her cabin, but their plan was rejected. And like I said earlier, the plan to kidnap the gov came directly from the FBI themselves. Remember that the FBI and Whitmer herself pimped this as an investigation into people who plotted to "kidnap her and maybe kill her". It wasn't that at all, it was an investigation into people who were given drugs, who were offered cash by the FBI for guns, who were offered the help of an explosives expert by the FBI, so that they could commit several different crimes - all of which were planned by the FBI. Remember Ray Epps? The guy who was trying to convince people to try to gain entry into the Capitol Buildings but was never charged with sedition....? He was suspected of being an FBI plant before the mostly peaceful protest at the capitol even happened. That was also before the FBI charged everyone else but him for crimes there. Now we know he was a plant for certain. The FBI is a cruel joke on law enforcement everywhere. It's no surprise that the Dems demonize legitimate police officers of every stripe aside from the FBI, while continuously using the FBI to conduct their various attempts at fraud on the American people. The FBI is a criminal syndicate that works for the DNC, and not an actual law enforcement agency.2 points

Why should my tax dollars and government put people to death who aren’t even criminals? We have ample pain killers and treatments. Is it about cost and convenience? I wonder whose discomfort euthanasia is really intended to end.2 points

He's obviously really smart with excellent historical context. I talked to him as I've mentioned. He has a winning personality that people gravitate towards and his wife is both stunning in her own right and very supportive of his goals. Yeah, he's a BIG threat to all these globalist fascists running around in jackboots.2 points

Doesn't matter who they voted for. The CPC support is saturated out West. That's why they won the popular vote and still lost the election. A seat won with 70% of the vote counts the same as a seat with 52% of the vote. Winning a Federal Election requires some form of broad based support. That's something Stephen Harper was able to create, for a few years anyway.2 points

Agreed. Yet our society has been taught that if you sneeze...take a pill. We're actively polluting ourselves to our own detriment. The pharmaceuticals and government regulators are the same people and they don't care if they pollute the population. They care about profit. Which makes them real live monsters as they do so at the cost of their own children. @Boges - If you have a summer cold...eat a bunch of oranges...drink a lot of water...and sleep as much as you can. No pills or vaccine will cure the common covid virus. If not for you...try to do it for your spawn and their health.2 points

At some point in our pre-history, humans had learned that eating bugs was dangerous. By the time Ancient Greece was on the rise, bugs had disappeared completely from the human diet. Chitin you see...it contains chitosan which causes al sorts of issues with humans if taken regularly. Including cancers, clotting and autoimmune reactions. It also blocks certain proteins and vitamins from being absorbed properly. In modern times, we tend to use it as a weight loss supplement with a dubious claim to actually working as intended. But looking at the side effects, one my glean WHY the Alphas want billions to eat bugs now...2 points

They did eat bugs. Even today many people eat bugs regularly, especially those without a supermarket just down the road. Now, if you'd said poisonous bugs (or berries), your statement would have at least made sense. Poilievre needs to forget about crypto and convoys and focus on the problems of the country - health care, the telecom stranglehold of Rogers and Bell, affordable housing, military procurement, protecting the Arctic, China. I still don’t know what qanon is, and don’t really care. But language like that is unbecoming of a public official. Probably no one wants to be mayor out in retires-ville, so they get whatever is willing to do it. That’s right, I said whatever. And to add - don't blame the logging companies. They buy the rights to the trees, not the land. That's the whole reason for the Softwood Lumber Duties the USA wants us to sell them the land outright, so they can speculate on that too. Our system of making them replant and give back access to the forests is too 'socialist' for their liking. So if you want to make everything rotten apply to the boonies too - support their position.1 point
-
Oh FFS the tired old whine about 'socialists' being the problem. 3% Property transfer tax on realty - imposed by Social Credit 7% GST on NEW houses - imposed by Conservatives $30K-$40K regulatory permitting thru local gov't few of which can be considered 'socialist' and mainly to ensure modern safe standards in construction. Just like how you can no longer buy new cars w/o daytime lights, disc brakes, radial tires, seat belts, etc. No one buys a car w/o an auto tranny or radio & power windows anymore, nor a home without finished basements - so they don't even make them these days. Main cities constrained by geography not gov't buying up the land or logging companies. Lower Mainland is also hampered by the Agricultural Land Reserve, since the 1970s and no one wants to get rid of else everything would need to be imported. Speculation - which is a basic cornerstone of free enterprise, so much so developers and sellers even whine about being taxed on profits. If someone offers you $1M for the home you bought for $50K, you're insane not to take it. Foreign buyers - yes that's a concern but there's even push-back against taxing ones not used to reside in or not rented out. AFAIK BC's the only place there's an Empty Homes Tax. And of course a bit of utter stupidity on the part of gov't - like the HomeOwner and Seniors HomeOwner grants here. You're supposed to refile year after year and now online. Like I deal with seniors, most aren't capable of doing email let alone navigate through these piss poor gov't sites. And in my own case - there's years of past filings in the gov't records. What happened? Did maybe I mysteriously get younger so I don't qualify anymore? So it's pretty ignorant to blame 'socialists' for everything you don't like. Like did political correctness disappear under Bush, Harper, Trump? No, it kept getting bigger and more common. The damn 'small homes' and social housing sites are now running at costs of over $500K per unit in the big cities. This is a much bigger and more complex problem than most people think. Add on that Vancouver and the Lower Mainland is the only place that's not like the rest of Canada, it rarely drops below 0 in the winter, so the homelerss tend to congregate there. I will maintain my position that the only way to progress for this country is to spread out.1 point

I think Canada has been more responsible than other countries with COVID spending. CERB was made to support people who were forced not to work. No cheques were mailed to every Canadian to stimulate the economy, at least not on a Federal level. I got a few from Ontario. I shudder to think what our Country would look like if the government didn't step in with COVID measures. Marginally raising the price of polluting is designed to encourage people to make better choices regarding energy consumption. The gas price spikes we've been seeing have little to do with taxes and a lot to do with profit taking from oil companies. They have not increased supply to match demand. And watch, if we do go into a recession, prices will plummet. Is that a better situation? In Ontario, taxes have been taken off of Gas and we're still paying north of $1.60. If the Carbon tax was repealed that would only amount to 11¢/litre. Is $1.50/litre a fair price to pay for gas?1 point

From a broader Canadian perspective, I don't think rolling back environmental measures will work. I agree that the Feds are out of touch in regards to COVID restrictions as they current stand. But a year ago, they were inline with where a majority of the population was. Inflation, right now, is much more complex right now than blaming a political party or policy.1 point

I don’t see an end-game. Trudeau-mania is an old term, I believe. Yet it applies again. The opposition is in a constant state of leadership crisis, I don’t see that changing. Poilivierre will have a couple of years to let the public get to know him, which may be an advantage. On the other hand, Trudeau et al might call an election sooner if they feel they could win, challenging the CPC leadership again. One thorn in liberal voter’s side is they didn’t necessarily vote for NDP ideas, for which Trudeau made a deal. But in general those are liberal-socialist ideas that resonate well, with Liberal dunderheads. .... Inflation is bad, as is the supply chain. If people start to feel real financial pain, that could be held against him. .... Yrudeau is chinese puppet. Some liberals do not want to chinese puppet. When presented with a plausible emergency, the average human reacts a certain way. Be aware that these mthrfkrs know this all too well. Want power? Have an endless emergency. Don't have one? Make one! What the flavor this month? Let's draw an emergency out of a hat... Ukraine? Climate? Energy? Another virus? Inflation? Nuclear weapons? Meteor? Solar flare???? As Neil Oliver cleverly said: "We are being herded like sheep from one deadly precipice to the next." It will only end when we take back what is ours. 1776 style if need be. But, if the worst case scenario is true, that this was all planned...billions of people will be simply gone in x number of years. Then our literal betters can enjoy the beaches again.* The vanity of thinking one gets to enjoy the fruits of these efforts by simply complying. This is Brave New World thinking. I suspect Boges, if he ever wakes up, will be one of the very last ones to do so. He hasn't updated his thinking on covid or the vaccines since this thing started. Long-term studies are still many years down the road for the lab rats who signed on for the experiment. For example, we won't know how this affects fertility in young people for many years yet. I can't even really call the current data being collected "long-term" studies. They're better called "late short-term studies". And they're not looking good.1 point
