Let’s call this what it is: racial determinism. People are being defined as victims and oppressors on the basis of their race without reference to the idea of human agency. Are we nothing more than the sum of our “intersectionalities”? Does government have the right to determine how much someone deserves based on these identifiers? What about upbringing? What about personality, intelligence, strength? Once we step out of equality into equity, we enter into deciding someone’s value, victimhood, etc., on the basis of qualities that cannot possibly tell the story of what makes up a person. Even privilege is hard to define. Does money make a person “better”? What about “happiness”? These are nebulous questions that government can only pretend to answer. Bill 67 is a horrible piece of legislation, so given our current cultural confusion and government overreach, it will probably pass. It will just add to the fear people already have about being able to express rational ideas and question pseudoscience.

The Dems and their media cohort didn't have a real hint of a scandal but they saw how well it worked on Harper so they made one up. The magnitude of the SNC scandal and the WE scandal are off the charts by comparison to Duffygate, but the media here painted a very different picture.
