Here, let me make your day, little one.  You've been trying to get my attention all morning:

FART

BURP

POOP

**giggle, giggle**

So, so funny.

Well you have to admire the naivety from the bloodspot champion, at least it's constant. I wonder how much the Carney pays it to genuflect at the Liberal altar.

I think it's just a little boy who is desperate for attention from parental figures.  It's why he's latched on to Fox and I.  I used to see it all the time when I was raising my kids.  There's always one kid in every group that needs the attention of EVERYONE IN THE ROOM, so they keep doing and saying the same thing over and over and over - "Look at meeeee!  Look at meeee!  Watch me do a karate kick!  Are you watching?  Look at meeeee!"

It's cute for about 5 minutes, then it starts to get old.  And sad.

At least you can claim PP is waaay ahead of third place LOL

Remember being told how PP would emerge as one of Canada's greatest Prime Ministers?

That'll never get old.

Kid. Everyone is laughing at you. A handful are laughing and also feeling pity towards you, but most are just laughing at you

You seem to realize that. I understand that it upsets you. But as a rule if 1000 people think you're nuts, and you think you're sane, it's probably not them, it's you.    :)

Yet another thing you'll probably learn as you get older and get out of your teens

I remember you agreeing at the time that Poilievre would be the next prime minister. And he may yet still be the best prime minister we've ever had. Carney's success hinges on the NDP never making a comeback and I would not want to bet on that

It certainly doesn't appear it'll be hinging on Poilievre's comeback.

Yeah, when Trudeau was around.

And i realize he would have been better than carney

you're probably right :)

It certainly doesn't appear it'll be hinging on Poilievre's comeback.

Funny story, he already came back. He's back to polling what he was when Trudeau was around and during the election. He solidly into the 40s.

The problem for Carney is that before he could run on hype but now he'll have to run on track record and his track record so far is pretty dismal. Also the number of Canadians saying the country in the world is going in the wrong direction has exceeded  50 percent by a fair bit, which is very bad news for carney.  And the popularity of Carney and his government is steadily and consistently edging downward.

Once the NDP gets a new leader, they'll start to pick up steam a little bit again. They'll get a few more donations and get their debt under control and be in a much better position to fight an election where they really are only going to target probably 20 new writings hoping to walk away with 10 of them to add to their current seven to obtain party status. But they will do a lot better in a lot of other writings which will suddenly cause the liberals to face a split vote where the conservatives could very easily win.

And that could happen as soon as late spring

So it's entirely possible that Poilievre will still be prime minister and will be one of the better ones we've had. If anything it seems like carney is going to leave as big a mess as Trudeau did which will give Poilievre the chance to look like a hero with very little effort

With the benefit of hindsight we can see that the Liberal government wasn’t in much danger of falling. Can we agree on that?

It actually came pretty close.

In fact to be honest I think carney thought there was no chance and then suddenly realized there was a very real chance. So I made concessions that would make lizzy happy and such. And when it's as close as it was there's always the chance of a math error or miscommunication leading to a consequence.

But I think the odds were slim. That's no surprise, obviously eveyone knew that from the beginning.  But i wouldn't say zero.

I agree the out come was planned for in advance, Everyone said the would vote down this budget....but in reality conservatives do not have the polling numbers , NDP is broke, Bloc was the only party that voted in good faith and did what they said they would.....I don't see anything changing by spring either...
