I saw a Vance tweets saying that if Biden doesn't think he can run then he should step down now. I think most objective people are more worried that Biden will face four more years of similar declines vs his state now. That's ultimately why he can't continue. Aging is not for the faint of heart.

There was nothing ordinary about these court cases. They had create a law to allow for the looney E Jean Carroll to be allowed to sue. Alvin Bragg took a simple misdemeanor and twisted it to make it a felony and was given more than enough help from a judge who backs Biden. Leticia James got a bench verdict, meaning no jury had any say on his fraud case and he announces Trump was guilty before the trial even began.

In Ontario, the leader of the PC party was forced out due to sketchy claims of sexual assault and Doug Ford was quickly installed without much consultation. No one screamed that democracy was being trampled on.

I agree with the above, but with the following distinction.  Kamala has until the DNC to build momentum and show evidence that she can beat Trump.  And regardless of what CNN says, I really don't think she's going to do that.  Not after the shooting event.  Republican and conservative voters are gathering under the Trump flag and will follow it all the way to November.

So if Kamala hasn't gained a lot of traction, she'll be dropped at the DNC and another will be pressed into service.  Big Michelle, Hilary, Newsom, it doesn't matter who they pick.  After 4 years of Biden's disaster, and then Trump rising up to shout Fight Fight Fight, it's a foregone conclusion.
