Been to Frankfurt too. Interesting main square in DT Frankfurt. If its the same as I remember, its a big circle with business on one side and sex shops, hookers and drugs on the other. The circle you speak of in Frankfurt is the Roma. No sex shops or hookers there, just good ole Clark Griswold touristy family fun. Good food, outside beer gardens, shops etc. That's in the downtown district and the prostitution is legal, taxed and the sex workers get tested monthly for STDs.
