webc5 Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Prostitution and Marijuana should be legalized and taxed. Some people need to realize that it happens so legalize and keep people safe. Making it illegal will not make it go away. Quote

GostHacked Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Does pot help with depression cause I'm sure there are a lot of depressed people out there. It can. But I chalk depression up to not being happy in whatever situation it is making you unhappy. Long hours at a crap job you don't like can cause depression. Bad relationship can cause depression. I think it's all situational personally. It does help me sleep, being slight insomniac my whole life, but I am tired because of the lack of sleep. For the past decade or so, my sleeping has been great. Get's rid of headaches to some degree. Stops pains and aches in the body as it can act as a painkiller. If our war mongering politicians smoked one or two, they might not be so willing to go to war. Quote

During prohibition, there were no amazing formal whiskey production facilities. Now it's legal and there are. Edited October 31, 2014 by hitops Quote
dre Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 You really think legalization is going to stop illegal sales. What have you been smoking. It wont stop it but theres absolutely no question that it will put a huge dent in it. The government should just step out of the way and see what the market does. Replace all the regulations and rules associated with pot, with the regulations and rules associated with broccoli or parsley... with the one exception that you cant sell it to minors. I really doubt there would be much in the way of illegal sales if we did that. In any case... these details are not a reason not to end one of the most destructive and counterproductive policies in history. Quote I question things because I am human. ( kidding... get it ? don't get offended... ) Edited to add: I tried Googling this myself but couldn't find any good stuff. Me neither. Medical marijuana became legal in 2001, but only that grown in a government facility. I remember that it was reported back then that the quality was very poor. That's what PIK was referring to, but that's old news, since private growers were licenced after that. I can't find any info on that history of licencing either, but I know from licenced users that there's a variety of good qualities dispensed legally for their various medical conditions. Growers have bred strains for more body impact (pain, tremors, etc) and less brain ('stone') effect, and use of a vaporizer helps increase the uptake of cannabinoids and decreases uptake of THC too. . eta ...
