  1. https://torontosun.com/news/world/covid-19-may-have-been-created-by-scientists-in-wuhan-lab-professor COVID-19 may have been created by scientists in Wuhan lab: Professor A professor in the U.S. suggests that evidence of COVID-19 being created in a Chinese lab has reached “smoking gun” levels. Richard H. Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, told the Wall Street Journal’s Nicholas Wade that the coronavirus may have actually been created in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology. He used a 2018 document from the lab as evidence that referenced making such a virus. “(The document) elevates the evidence provided by the genome sequence from the level of noteworthy to the level of a smoking gun,” Ebright claimed, according to the WSJ. Drafts and notes from the papers mention a grant proposal called Project DEFUSE, which detailed how to engineer bat coronaviruses to make them more transmissible. The proposal was rejected and the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency denied it funding. However, it was suggested that Wuhan researchers could have continued the work if the Chinese government backed the project. Remember how if you even dared suggest this was possible you were a horrible racist and it was all a 'right wing conspiracy theory'?

If we do anything it could be to have some means or model of pointing out posts that come from foreign sources so people can at least consider them in that light. Didn't you just threaten to put me on 'ignore' when i was critical of you and held you to account online? Hypcrisy - thy name is Michael.

When you're starving and can see the enemy coming with guns blazing and Hamas fires mass rocket attacks over the invaders heads to blow up things in Israel? Meanwhile keep marching on the other side of the world to pressure a PM that can't do S.F.A. They've lost all sympathy from me. Free the f*cking hostages and get back to the table, they're 100% responsible for no ceasefire deal.

  8. No, like everyone else I laugh at the fact you say the same things about everyone. No, I only said that Harper was completely useless at it. Remember when you used to argue that his T&A Act was actually instrumental in preventing, catching and punishing Trudeau for the SNC Lavalin Affair? LMAO! They could even commit murder you said. He didn't do anything. I agree with you, there was nothing Harper could do, as evidenced by the current lack of transparency. Either his heart wasn't into it or he was simply incompetent. In any case Trudeau and his Liberals are and will always be entirely responsible for their lack of T&A. I never did vote for them. We'll never make an accountable man out of you.

  10. Republican Congressperson Lauren Boebert stated she asked God for guidence about switching districts. And God talked to her saying: 'Do you have more faith in your ability to fight or my ability to open a door?'" The Colorado Republican announced in December that she would be switching congressional districts. Boebert said she would leave her existing seat in Colorado's 3rd congressional district for the more conservative 4th congressional district instead. What I'm wondering is if God told her to move districts and she loses, does that mean God set her up to fail? https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.businessinsider.com/lauren-boebert-god-told-her-press-on-with-district-switch-2024-3&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwj-sY2An96EAxWsKUQIHUghB-kQFnoECAcQAg&usg=AOvVaw2fmn9wuMWkaE1dOhTyuXOM

Just saw single frozen samosa "on sale" for $6.29 yesterday, Bought a package of frozen ice cream cookies clearanced for $2.60. They were Welfare Family brand, so disgusting if I'd paid the regular price of $5.69 I would've been tempted to break into Jim Pattison's home and shove them up his a$$ still frozen.

  16. If it fits a woke agenda, I could see people caring, but this really won't. Unless of course, a white colonizing country invaded. Then the internet would explode. Haiti is too far gone to be fixed. We are talking generations of degradation. The corruption levels there are so bad, any influx of cash would never make it to those who need it. I wouldn't bring my wife there if I was paid a billion dollars. Enough said. My sibling got offended at Trump calling Haiti a s***hole. She was triggered by it. I told her that it was. She rejected it. "Would you bring your kids there?" Of course not. "Because its a s***hole." Then I poked fun of her laughing, knowing the truth is what made it funny. The people there aren't horrible, but you can't sugar coat the conditions there politically, regarding crime and gang warfare that have reached levels never seen before in that country.

  23. LOL Harper did quite a bit. He changed the way judges were selected to help eliminate the lib habit of picking the farthest left and liberal supporting judges. Now all parties AND the police AND the justice system would have a hand in it so the very best people were picked (justin killed it the moment he got in). Harper brought in consecutive sentencing, he brought in a number of manditory minimums as well and while the courts struck them down eventually they could have been put back with notwithstanding provisions had he won again. Harper improved the self defense and citizen arrest laws substantially. He also proposed that if a person who got their citizenship in canada by immigration committed a terrorist other major act they could be stripped of it, but he lost before that came in. What were you looking for exactly that would represent 'addressing real problems' with crime?

  27. This would be an insanely deadly mission. Sending canadian kids to their slaughter would not sit well with the population. We don't have an appetite for massive losses of personnel. I just don't see how this doesn't end in a full blow war and bloodbath. Sure we would be better armed, but many gang members have makeshift bulletproof vehicles, have access to military grade weapons and know the densely populated areas like the back of their hands. I just don't see how you could prevent high casualty counts by fighting with boots on the ground or by fighting by air, with the massive amount of collateral damage.

  31. Wiki: In October 2017, the Trump administration agreed to settle a lawsuit filed on behalf of more than four hundred conservative nonprofit groups who claimed that they had been discriminated against by the Internal Revenue Service for an undisclosed amount described by plaintiffs' counsel as "very substantial." The Trump administration also agreed to settle a second lawsuit brought by forty-one conservative organizations with an apology and an admission from the IRS that subjecting them to "heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays" was wrongful.[4][5] Deep-dive that, stupid.

  34. The vast majority of Asian people (Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Filipino, Korean) to name a few, are demographics of people that earn quite well, as well as regarding their education level. The ones I mentioned, also make up the largest part of the demographic you're eluding to. Look at the bottom of the demographic, and what is likely? Racist systems? Unfairness? Or a lack of English? A lack of education? Refugees who came in with bad odds, and didn't have the skills, education or language, to pull themselves out of it? Is this systemic, though? I grew up around Cambodian refugees in Canada. They were poor just like us. Every single one I knew or was friends with, had parents working menial jobs, because their lack of English made it as such that they were incredibly limited in opportunity. This was a very common theme. Look at second and third generations of these people, however. Its a different picture. Many Asian people, truly push education and family. You look at cultures like India, China and the like, and its critical. I can all but guarantee you those who remain poor on a generational level, do not. It has nothing to do with system equality. Like what, being better educated and having strong senses of community? This is racist? Seriously? How? Sorry, but I don't get victimhood. I get empowerment. My mother was a single mother who was a refugee from Haiti. No English, whatsoever. Couldn't find good jobs, so had to work garbage jobs, and do multiple, just to put food on our table. She didn't have time for victimhood, so taught us how to read and be passionate about books. Sports. School. She had no education, but all of her kids and their offspring, are highly educated. To you, she'd be a victim due to her poverty and struggles. I see people like this, and see powerhouses. Strength. Poverty to me, was simply circumstance. I never felt I was inferior, and your mindset puts people like this in such boxes. Believe in government hand outs, but that hand has strings attached to it. I'll point someone in the right direction--you believe in hand holding.

  35. We need better laws about harassment. We need better laws about speaking in support of terrorists or terrorism or genocide. We need to revoke the changes to the Citizenship act that limited our ability to take back the citizenship bestowed on newcomers. And we need better, stronger policing. Right now our municipal forces, all of whom are led by left wing municipal councils, are hands-off when it comes to these incessant and insane protests. I think we need a national force, like a branch of the RCMP that can be moved around to reinforce local police, or supplant them if they're not doing t heir jobs. Such a force should be specially trained for crowd control to maintain public order. I also think the organizers of these demonstrations, who are all Hamas supporters that celebrated Oct 7, should be investigated by CSIS and the RCMP to find out if they're paying demonstrators, and if so where the money is coming from.

  36. It's racially discriminatory. And it's not like there's scholarships just for poor white people, so what you said isn't true. There's more scholarships exclusively for some races over others. You make a "whites only" scholarship and people would lose their sh!t, and they should.

  39. To be sure all political parties protect the super rich. From the article; ...more than half of the agency’s current employees are eligible for retirement and are expected to leave the agency within the next five years. That means the IRS might net roughly 20,000 to 30,000 more employees from the new funding, enough to restore the tax-collecting agency’s staff to where it was roughly a decade ago In 2010, after Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, they enacted a series of cuts to the agency. Since then, overall funding to the IRS has dropped by more than 20 percent while enforcement has fallen by 31 percent. That has led to a decline in the agency’s service for average Americans, while also making it easier for both the wealthy and major corporations to avoid paying billions of dollars worth of federal taxes. How about a simple single page income tax return that was the same for everyone? How much you made and payment enclosed. There'd be lots of room for progressiveness, and consumption, property and wealth taxes could probably be included on the back page. Eliminate the complexity of the tax system that makes tax evasion easy and tax preparation/collection so expensive. The wealth defence industry starts at the top for the top and it needs to be emasculated to the greatest extent possible. Radically simplifying the tax code should in theory do that.

  44. It should be ridiculed. Thats the point. I think we are on separate tangents regarding ridicule. I think some behavior should be ridiculed. If a woman wants to hold a line at an electronics store, because she wants to return something without a receipt (demanding to be found in their system by name, no less like she was that important at a Wal-Mart), she deserves to be told: "look Karen, some of us need to go to work!". Just like those who feel ridiculing others for saying there are two genders makes factual sense. Like all American or Canadian systems politically are by design meant to keep black people in shackles, even though there are none. Well, for my business for starters, I must have accessible entrances. I don't understand why the same isn't being thought of for those who are trans or non binary. My washrooms aren't gendered. Its more complex, if changing large washroom areas, but you can efficiently make single stall washrooms gender neutral. IE providing feminine hygiene products available, along with having a urinal along with the basic toilet stall. My doctor's clinic does this, and none of his toilets identify a single gender. Some businesses simply make all their lockable toilets gender neutral. It becomes tricky, for toilet areas that are designed as walk in. I have seen malls put "family toilets" in those areas and invest on having lockable rooms all can use. I am not a designer, so couldn't point to specifics, but if I want to add an entrance to my building, I must spend over 20 grand just to make it wheelchair friendly. I have to this day only had one disabled client enter. It shouldn't matter, however. Toilets shouldn't judge. You're s******g and p*****g in them for crying out loud. I don't know. I would focus on making my washrooms accessible to all. IE bars for those who are mobility limited, to feminine products, condoms, etc. I think the issue is the language around all of this. Am sorry, but I would be uncomfortable with a woman using washrooms I was in, just like I could understand a woman feeling threatened by being followed by what she feels is a male. Worse even for public showers, where you're naked and vulnerable. Someone needs to grow a set, but also respect all parties. I see it like this. If enough people tell me something am doing, just maybe I am doing it or may be giving off those vibes. You don't have to agree, that's the beauty of free speech, but I am coming from a position of seeing the behavior, and mentioning it to you. You're clearly not a troll, but come across as disingenuous in debate at times. I see it like Trudeau debating. Never can get a straight answer, and the ones he gives literally skirt around the issue and misinterpret and divide in doing so. He's a politician. Its expected. It just isn't if you're focused on adult debate, which both of us are clearly capable of.

  45. No, you're just making that up. Correct, Trudeau's behaviour was entirely Trudeau's fault. That's right, Harper always did produce fairly useless legislation when it come to creating laws that held anyone to account. Look how often his anti-crime legislation ran afoul of the SC.

  48. Actually, 'The Intercept' published these proposals as far back as Sept. 2021, and the U.S. government did in fact help fund the Wuhan lab's gain of function research albeit through 3rd parties (which Fauci allegedly played some role in). Basically it works like this.... the 'furin cleavage site' allows the coronavirus to bind to a human cell. Gain of function research allows it to bind to the cell more efficiently making it more transmissible and likely more lethal. When the genetic sequence was analyzed, they found a sequence pertaining to the furin cleavage site which exists no where else in nature, and that a number of virologists believed was man-made. So this proposal comes out in 2018 and covid-19 materializes out of no where in 2019. Coincidence or just bullshit conspiracy theory? Regardless of what anyone calls it, I'll stick with the latter.
