They would literally tower over their opponents for the 2028 primary. There isn't a true adult among the Dems, aside from maybe Fetterman, but he's damaged goods. Is Newsom really their best candidate? They've got Josh Shapiro, but he's a Jew, so about 40% of Dems would just never vote for him.... Face it: the Dems are a clown-car of snotty little insult-jockeys, just like their supporters here. They feel like chiming in with "Twump bad!" and throwing down a few snotty insults is somehow making their case. Tell me ^^that^^ isn't a perfect characterization of Schumer, AOC, Moonie, Robo, eyeball, Beave, Newsom, Hodad, etc... I mean, if Poilievre is "too negative and doesn't bring ideas to the table", what are the Dems? All they do is lie, cry, steal, cheat, divide, insult, and scream at clouds. NA really is in a pathetic place when you consider that people like Biden and Kamala allegedly got 70M+ votes, and Trudeau Carney won 4 elections... I hate to admit it, but after thinking about this topic for a few minutes, I come to the conclusion that Hillary would be the "adult in the room" for the whole Dem party. And that's one scary b1tch. I would never trust her with power. Might as well elect the cardboartollah.2 points

Both Vance and Rubio had it right BEFORE they were bought off. Vance with "America's Hitler," and Rubio with the 2016 primary. WCM never buys it when I tell him Trump is a CONMAN, so it's kind of embarrassing that he endorses Rubio who said the same thing. LMAO2 points

Some bright spots in the economy to cut through the doomsayers hype And yes we still have a trade surplus with the US Canada Factory Sales Climb 3% in March to Highest Level in More Than a Year Manufacturing shipments increased 3% from the month before to a seasonally adjusted C$73.57 billion, the highest level since the start of 2025 “OTTAWA—Canadian manufacturing activity continued to rebound in March, with a spike in energy prices driving factory sales to their highest level in more than a year. Manufacturing shipments increased 3% from the month before to a seasonally adjusted 73.57 billion Canadian dollars, the equivalent of about US$53.67 billion, Statistics Canada said Friday. That marked the highest level since the start of 2025, before manufacturers were hit with uncertainty and softer demand in the wake of the Trump administration’s tariffs.” … “There are signs Canada’s economy has again found its footing, albeit with growth expected to remain constrained by concerns over U.S. trade policy and tariffs and as businesses and households contend with the jump in energy costs due to the war in Iran. The Bank of Canada projects the economy expanded about 1.5% in annualized terms in the first quarter, and estimates it will match that pace in the second quarter, following a modest contraction in the final three months of 2025.” … “Sales of transportation equipment rose 6% to about C$11.4 billion in March. That was buoyed by a second month of strong motor-vehicle activity as auto production increased following the completion of retooling at a major auto manufacturer and the addition of a new production shift in another motor-vehicle assembly plant. Exports of motor vehicles and parts increased 5.4% in March, though even with that gain, sales of motor vehicles on a quarterly basis were down 13.6%. Canadian production of aerospace products and parts hit its highest level on record, rising 5.2% from a month earlier, as the industry continues to benefit from strong global demand for commercial and business aircraft, aircraft parts and maintenance services. Inventory levels held by factories increased 1.3% in March and were up 3.2% on the same month last year, the agency said. New orders jumped 4.7% for the month, and unfilled orders—the stock of orders that will contribute to future sales if they aren’t canceled—increased 2.4%.” Excerpt From “Canada Factory Sales Climb 3% in March to Highest Level in More Than a Year” Robb M. Imports of aircraft and other transportation equipment and parts also dropped 12.8 per cent in March after rising 13 per cent in February. In volume terms, total exports edged down 0.3 per cent, while import volumes fell 2.0 per cent. Mergers and acquisitions were the main driver of inflows, with activity concentrated in trade, transportation and financial management sectors. U.S. investment remained the largest contributor, while the United Kingdom emerged as the largest non-U.S. investor. Many U.K. transactions involved acquisitions of Canadian software firms, highlighting growing foreign interest in the country’s tech sector. Canadian direct investment abroad slowed sharply in 2025, particularly into the United States, as trade uncertainty weighed on long-term capital decisions. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/investing/market-outlook/2026/03/12/market-outlook-canada-foreign-direct-investment-hits-highest-since-2007/1 point

The Oil Shock Is Causing a $45 Billion Rupture in the Economy A wartime price surge is slamming consumers while boosting investors “The largest oil disruption in history is widening a divide in the economy. Americans have cumulatively spent about $45 billion more on gasoline and diesel during the war with Iran than they did during the same period a year ago, according to an analysis of OPIS pricing data and federal demand figures. The surging costs are eating an outsize share of low- and middle-income consumers’ paychecks, darkening their outlook relative to the well-off.” “At the same time, investors in oil-and-gas companies are watching their portfolios swell. Big energy returns bolstered a blockbuster corporate-earnings season and added momentum to the artificial-intelligence-led rally that has pushed the stock market to records. While higher inflation and borrowing costs have added stress on less-affluent Americans, many economists believe high earners will continue powering the U.S. ahead. ” President Trump campaigned on cutting Americans’ energy costs in half. Now, as higher prices contribute to sagging poll numbers and some of the lowest consumer-sentiment readings on record, he has argued that the oil shock is benefiting the energy-rich U.S. in the form of record exports. ““The question is, of course, who is the U.S.?” said Isabella Weber, an economics professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. “If we look at the different income groups in the United States, it’s really the richest of the rich who benefit from this. The majority of people hardly have any benefit from it and are in fact carrying a much larger cost burden.” ” Excerpt From “The Oil Shock Is Causing a $45 Billion Rupture in the Economy” David Uberti The Wall Street Journal https://apple.news/AvF_BN9dlRq-dX_2mTnHNVQ This material may be protected by copyright.1 point

Uh no not entirely. Go back and re-read the OP. We are the fastest growing economy in G7 aside from US and unlike the US our economy is growing faster than inflation. Our unemployment is NOT at record highs it is lower than it was when Harper left office (and BTW it was at record LOWS under Trudeau prior to COVID, matching the best rate ever achieved under Harper). What are we “underperforming” exactly? If we are doing better than our peer countries then we are not underperforming. Biden didn’t do that to that US economy. There were a couple of little global events called COVID and the supply chain crisis Meanwhile the current global economic crisis is 100% entirely caused by Trump and is pummelling the US economy and yet you can’t seem to assign blame just like you couldn’t assign blame for the massive economic crisis under Bush. It seems every time Republicans control both branches of government there’s a major economic crisis. Funny how you will blame a Democrat for global events that are largely beyond their control simply because “it happened on their watch” while absolving republicans for crises that happened on their watch and that often they directly caused1 point

Who cares what the US rate is, US is in a league of its own and their growth snall being driven by the AI bubble. Yes 1.2% while under the current economic attack by the most powerful nation on earth that is also triggering a global economic crisis is good. It’s the best in the G7. That line includes manufactured coal and petroleum products in “factory sales” eg motor oil. However note there was still growth without that factor: ” Sales of transportation equipment rose 6 per cent to $11.4-billion, helped by a 15-per-cent gain in the motor vehicle industry group as auto production picked up in the month. Excluding the petroleum and coal product subsector, total manufacturing sales rose 0.7 per cent in March. In real terms, total manufacturing sales gained one per cent in March.”1 point

LMAO! No, it's just you people saying that about the left. It seems pretty clear it was illegitimate given the war crimes that were alleged. Unfortunately Israel doesn't have an extradition treaty with Palestine so it can seek justice legitimately. Instead it's also resorted to war crimes such as collective punishment, double tap missile strikes against first responders, using famine as a weapon etc. And of course there are credible reports of Palestinians being detained without charge, tortured, raped and murdered - made all the more credible given the decades of oppression, subjugation and dispossession Palestinians have suffered. Apparently you people think resistance to these is disgusting and evil. WTF is the matter with you that would ever make you think that? Canada has become most attractive market for infrastructure investors, global survey finds Canada tops the list of the most attractive countries for investing in infrastructure for the first time in a survey of major global investors, suggesting Ottawa’s push to boost the country’s profile is attracting attention. Canada ranks ahead of the United States, Mexico, Germany and several European and Nordic countries in the latest semi-annual survey by the Global Infrastructure Investor Association (GIIA). The country’s outlook “improved materially,” according to the survey results, signalling that investors are responding well to the federal government’s plan to launch major projects that can improve Canada’s economic growth and productivity over time. The U.S. slipped to third place in the ranking, behind second-place Germany, thanks to rising concerns over its war in Iran, an uptick in inflation in March and uncertainty over the outcome of midterm elections later this year. …https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-canada-top-market-global-infrastructure-investment/1 point

^^This is yet another sterling example of your conspiracy-addled mind at work. The difference is that letting you rant and spread misinformation (not an article about Fauci) is pretty low stakes today. Let crazy be crazy. Plenty of time to sort out facts. But letting you spread misinformation and FUD while we're fighting a global pandemic was going to be fatal, first to your fellow kooks, and then to regular people caught as collateral damage. Media platforms were absolutely right to mute you people in a life and death scenario. It's a free country. You're free to speak. But nobody owes you a platform.1 point

It's unfathomable to me that so many people here just don't care that Fauci, Canada's Covid Sherpa, was lying to them all along. And here's how the CBC chooses to approach this subject: Former Fauci adviser indicted for allegedly concealing communications related to COVID-19 research Oh. That's all he did. "Concealed some communications" lol. It sounds like maybe he accidentally used the wrong email or something... Prolly no big D, right? Canadians: "What's for dinner, Marge? And don't say 'meatloaf', we can't afford anther vet bill." For anyone who wasn't bored to death from the headline, here's the sub-headline: Dr. David Morens is accused of using private email to hide info on COVID-19 research Ok, he hid some info. *yawn*. Still nothing to see, according to the CBC. The first two paragraphs of the article get a bit spicier, but there's still nothing alarming about it. It doesn't seem like there were any ulterior motives: A former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci was indicted on federal charges alleging he conspired to hide his communications related to COVID-19 research as the pandemic raged across the country, the U.S. Justice Department said Tuesday. Dr. David Morens, 78, is accused of using his private email account to intentionally circumvent public records laws while employed at the National Institutes of Health. The Justice Department alleges that he concealed or destroyed records of discussions related to COVID-19 research grants, including an effort to revive a controversial coronavirus grant. At the end of the second paragraph there's a mention of "a controversial coronavirus grant". Hmmmmm, it's almost getting unboring. If the dog doesn't bark, and no one farts loudly enough to create a distraction, a guy might keep reading... Morens faces charges of conspiracy against the United States; destruction, alteration or falsification of records in federal investigations; concealment, removal or mutilation of records; and aiding and abetting, according to a Justice Department news release. Six paragraphs in it gets kinda spicy again, but still nothing that says "This is central to the way Canadians understood the whole covid narrative". The indictment reflects Republicans' long-held belief that the federal government covered up key information about COVID-19 as the pandemic unfolded. Despite numerous probes, the origins of COVID have never been proven. Scientists are unsure whether the virus jumped from an animal, as many others have, or came from a laboratory accident. ^^^^^^^^^THAT LAST PARAGRAPH IS CBC ENGAGING IN DECEPTION^^^^^^^^^ The truth that's relevant to Canadians is: "The hidden emails show that Fauci and Morens were conspiring to keep their GoF research on the bat coronavirus in the Wuhan lab secret, so that they could float the pangolin theory as the only likely culprit." As a member of the TNI, CBC was ACTIVELY pushing the pangolin narrative. That was a directive that came from foreign influencers, because BBC was theoretically the leader of TNI. What's far worse, and what Canadians should be hopping mad about, is that TNI as a whole was ACTIVELY blocking any and all talk of the BSL4 lab on social media. CBC was thick as thieves with these groups as they obliterated Freedom of Speech in our country. Then, when Elon Musk yanked Titter out of TNI, leftists went absolutely BERSERK on him, and he even started getting death threats from the people who were grovelling at his feet just months earlier. Look below for proof that TNI, The "Trusted News Initiative", which CBC was a part of, was "heavily involved in efforts to combat C-19 disinformation" lol. The truth, that we all know today, is that they were banning extremely important and highly relevant information about the origin of covid, in conjunction with the Fauci/Morens attemts to cover their tracks. Here's the proof that people were getting banned from the internet for merely talking about the Wuhan Lab as a potential source of the lab leak. Again, nothing that I'm saying is unverified. It is all 100% true, which is something that the CBC can never say. AI Overview Yes, both Facebook and Twitter (now X) took actions to suppress or remove posts discussing the theory that COVID-19 originated from a lab, such as the BSL4 lab in Wuhan, China, particularly during 2020 and early 2021. These platforms labeled such discussions as "misinformation" or "conspiracy theories" before reversing their policies in May 2021. [1, 2, 3, 4] Facebook and Instagram Policy (2020–2021) Initial Ban: In February 2021, Facebook announced it would remove posts claiming that COVID-19 was "man-made or manufactured". Censorship Actions: Users reported having their posts removed and some accounts were penalized for sharing articles suggesting a Wuhan lab leak. [that last parts means that: "people were banned from social media platforms - by the CBC's partners at TNI - just for telling the truth"] For instance, a World Socialist Web Site article was blocked as "false information". Reversal: On May 26, 2021, Facebook quietly reversed this policy, announcing that it would no longer remove posts claiming the virus was man-made following increased scientific and political debate. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] Twitter Actions Suspensions: In early 2020, Twitter suspended accounts that suggested the virus was a bioweapon from the Wuhan lab, including an instance where Zero Hedge was suspended for posting an article with the personal information of a Chinese researcher. Labeling: Twitter heavily moderated, and in some cases labeled as "disputed," content that challenged the natural origins theory. Policy Change: Following Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, the company stopped enforcing its COVID-19 misleading information policy in late 2022. [1, 2, 3] Context Behind the Bans Public Health Consensus: Social media companies stated they were relying on guidance from public health officials and the World Health Organization (WHO), who largely dismissed the lab-leak theory early in the pandemic. Shifting Scientific Viewpoint: The reversal of policy in May 2021 came after new reporting indicated that several researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalized in late 2019, which prompted U.S. officials to call for a more thorough investigation. [1, 2, 3, 4] @eyeball @Hodad @BeaverFever @ExFlyer @Moonbox @CrakHoBarbie @herbie @otherleftistret4rds All of the things that conservatives were saying are being proven over and over and over again, and at every turn, the CBC is found to be more and more wrong, and are reduced to straight deception when they cover the news. The absolute fact of the matter is that THIS STORY IS ABOUT FAUCI LYING TO US RIGHT FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY HE OPENED HIS GOD-DAMNED MOUTH ON YOUR TV SET. That is what is really at stake here. That's what this story is about. CBC is doing everything that they can to keep this story off the radar, and to keep Fauci's reputation intact, but the facts are slowly becoming more and more mainstream, and the lying and bullshit from the covid era is being exposed. I know that you guys owe me, Goddess, and a lot of others here several apologies, and I doubt that any are coming, but I'm sure that by now you have no choice but to realize that WE WERE YEARS AHEAD OF THE CANADIAN MSM at getting to the truth, and even now, CBC is STILL LYING.
