  1. So many very important changes were made over the past 4 months that it feels more like 4 years have passed. While we / you are at it, I will recommend even more radical changes. The Gulf of Mexico was renamed to the Gulf of America, Straight of Hormuz is now "Straight of Arabia" or "Straight of Iran", but most definitely not "Straight of Hormuz" ! Venezuela is now "State 51". Greenland? Has to be "State 52" , unofficially, while Canada and Cuba are "States 53 and 54" also unofficially. Iran? - "State 55", of course. The president has crowned himself to be king; the foreign premiers and presidents are formally reduced to governors. Why not change the name of the country too, while we are at it? "United States of America" or USA does not sound like a country name! It is so easily confused with UPU - the Union of Postal Workers ; UN - United Nations or so many other Unions and United things including the United Arab Emirates, UAE (which voluntarily or , most likely, involuntarily followed the same stupid naming concept as the USA and UK). A name is something like "Cuba", "Uganda", "Brazil", Somalia, Bolivia. Think about how nice and romantic "Venezuela" sounds. The country cannot be called "America" because this name refers to two continents! And on the north one, USA is only one of the three major countries there, not even the largest by landmass. The value system in the country changed. The legal system changed. Moral values changed. The way the country conducts business internationally changed. What can better reflect the changes than the name? If we insist on the word "United" and want to be straightforward with the world, a proper modern name will be "United States of the Pirates" or even better 'United Pirate States" - UPS. Darn! That would be a problem too! It will be confused with United Parcel Services ! Well how about using Trump's name? Ain't that smart? It goes well with everything, especially real estate. The new country can be called "Trumpomelania" Ain't that beautiful? It reminds me of olden days Mesopotamia. Sounds royal and grand! But to please the king even more we can simply call the country "Trumplandia" . This way citizens can be referred to as "Trumplans" , Oh boy! Now if you have a new country name, it goes without saying we will need a new flag. What better flag for the new country and values than one of the two depicted below? And the king? When is he going to be formally crowned and what crown should we put on his heavy head? What awards are we going to present him with? The king does one thing best - it is to shit. The king has an amazing capacity to shit on anyone and everyone at the same time - both inside and outside the border and across all oceans. The king's shit is of the best , rarest , light and stinky quality. It can be molded into a crown, frozen in a freezer and put on the king's head daily. It will melt by the power and heat of his wheel spinning brain, cooling the latter off. Jesus approves all of these changes! After seeing how the Pope fared, Jesus is willing to serve Pig Hegseth in exchange for leniency from the King.

  2. Interesting article from Ann Coulter. It's hard to imagine that human beings (democrats) in a first world country could be that stupid, but here we are: Watching the recent vice-presidential debate, I realized that Gov. Tim Walz has a primitive’s understanding of cause-and-effect. It pairs nicely with his primitive’s understanding of representative democracy, economics, science, national security, deductive reasoning and the Electoral College. As our country becomes more DEI-oriented (the heart and soul of the Democratic Party), we can expect to see a lot more problems with causal reasoning — not to be confused with casual reasoning, which seems to be Kamala Harris’ method of thinking. The “diverse” cultures the Democratic Party is hauling in are notoriously poor at grasping causality. https://www.leader-call.com/opinion/columnists/democrats-third-world-reasoning/article_94fa6ede-8a61-11ef-9a56-ab2b14551fe2.html

Apparently the inherent US arrogance was on full display with him lecturing Europe, which is so American administration to do at a dinner event. This was the night before Trump's speech in Davos that saw people walk on during the blabber from your narcissist in chief. I sense a pattern here of how the world views the US... or just close friends of Epstein.

  8. You guys may recall the last year Nova Scotia enacted a travel ban into his backcountry because of fire risk. I said at the time that it was probably not constitutional and was a gross over reaction and severely inappropriate. Those on the left rushed to defend the action stating that we have no right to go on to public land or into the backcountry and the government could do what it's wants and if a bunch of rednecks had to stay home and stay out of the woods too damn bad. Well, as is off in the case it turns out I was quite correct and the courts agree that the reaction was grossly disproportional and unconstitutional We will see if they appeal but that behavior was never okay. The Supreme Court of Nova Scotia struck down the province’s August 2025 "woods travel ban" on April 17, 2026. The court ruled that the government acted unreasonably and failed to consider the Charter rights of Nova Scotians when it prohibited entry into nearly 80% of the province’s land during a period of high wildfire risk. CTV News +2 Key Findings of the Ruling Lack of Charter Consideration: The court found no evidence that the Minister of Natural Resources considered Section 6 mobility rights or Section 7 liberty rights before issuing the blanket proclamation. Unconstitutional Process: While recognizing that governments can act in emergencies, the court held that the decision-making process was fundamentally flawed because it did not balance the ban’s impact on residents' rights with its public safety objectives. Arbitrary Nature: Evidence highlighted that the ban prohibited low-risk activities like hiking while allowing high-risk industrial activities (e.g., forestry and mining) to continue under permits, which the challengers argued was irrational and arbitrary. Canadian Constitution Foundation +4 Background of the Case The Proclamation: Issued on August 5, 2025, by Natural Resources Minister Tory Rushton, the ban prohibited travel in all woods—including private land—to prevent wildfires during a historic drought. Heavy Fines: Violations carried a maximum penalty of up to $25,000 (plus fees) or six months in prison. The Challengers: The case was brought by Jeffrey Evely, a Canadian Armed Forces veteran with PTSD who deliberately walked into the woods to receive a fine ($28,872.50) so he could challenge the law. He was supported by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) and the Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF).

  10. President Donald J. Trump has directed a bold and decisive U.S. naval blockade to counter Iranian aggression and restore safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz — a masterstroke of American leadership that showcases a level of power and strength the world has never before witnessed. As this historic action unfolds, America’s record-breaking energy production is providing a critical lifeline to the world. Thanks to President Trump’s American energy dominance agenda, the U.S. stands as the world’s top energy producer and exporter — ready to supply reliable, abundant energy to nations cut off from Middle Eastern crude. https://www.whitehouse.gov/releases/2026/04/president-trumps-powerful-leadership-highlights-american-strength-as-energy-dominance-delivers-global-stability/ I like it, and want to see further steps taken.

  11. The Iranian leadership believes Israel is an illegitimate country that sits on Muslim land and must be destroyed. They believe that while also arbitrarily executing and torturing their own people to keep them in line. They have a good relationship with China who they sell discounted priced oil to, while China commits genocide against their fellow Muslims. The same could be said about the Russians who turned Chechnya into a parking lot. But you figure they'll never nuke Israel for fear of killing fellow Muslims? It just doesn't add up.

  21. The war against Iran is entirely legal under international law. Killing civilians by accident or incidental to an attack on a legitimate target is also not a war crime. Iran's former president said that as soon as Iran gets nuclear weapons it must use them against Israel. He said that while milliosn of Muslims may die in the retaliation, they will go to heaven as martyrs, and Islam will easily survive because it is spread out so far, but Israel, a small country, will die. By his calculation, that made it a big win for Islam.

  22. Really? How often does Israel attack Jordan and Egypt, who are its main neighbors? Never. Why not? Gee. Maybe it's because neither country attacks Israel nor allows their territory to be used by groups that attack Israel? Could that POSSIBLY be it?! Israel has no interest in Iran other than the fact Iran has been sponsoring, guiding, arming and directing terrorist attacks on it for forty years and has repeatedly vowed to destroy it.

  23. Bullshit. Stop feeding off the government paid media. Canada's economic downturn has been underway long before Trump became president. Our productivity lag, our steady fall in GDP per person, our steadily worsening government budget overruns have all been the product of homegrown policies. Not all those policies came from Trudeau. Some predated him, going all the way back to the 1980s. Every chart you look at shows our deterioration starting well before Trump was president even the first time. It greatly accelerated starting in 2015 due to the proliferation of industry killing policies by the Liberal government. Tweak? No. I'm thinking more like taking a chainsaw to the regulations. We also need a big change in policies that are built around the government solving every problem in life. Government has to be hugely downsized, and not just at the federal level. We added a MILLION new public sector workers in the last decade! All of them feeding off taxes. Nearly half of ecverything a middle class person makes no goes to government. That has to be cut. We need to complely end the acceptance of refugees, who are, overall, a massive cost to government budgets, nearly completely halt immigration, and completely halt, except for agriculture, foreign workers. We also need to stop allowing foreign students to work here or bring their families over.

If you want to pull anecdotal things out of your backend and believe that while the facts say otherwise, have at it. Homes in metro Vancouver (and elsewhere) has been expensive for the last 20 years....Harper and Trudeau. Location may have something to do with it... Take a deep breath, and go have a cookie...

  26. Quite a bit. Townhouses is what they were building at that time, along with apartments. They are far less expensive to build, and yet they offer an extremely comfortable living experience. And they're big enough to raise a family The idea of affordability is not that day one you can afford the best of the best. The idea of being affordable is that you can enjoy a high quality of life of a standard that's considered normal for the times and be able to afford it within a modest income As I've shown people at the time could buy a nice place to live that was plenty big enough for a family of four and the dog at a price that meets the official definition of affordable, being 30% of pre-tax income. I don't know why that's hard for you to understand To put it in perspective your argument is cars are unaffordable because some people couldn't afford a Bentley or high-end mercedes. That's true, but they could afford a ford focus or a toyota corolla. And really those are quite functional vehicles that would suit people's needs just fine Hopefully that makes it more clear. People were able to buy a good home right off the bat to start a family with fairly minimal savings, so in their twenties a young couple would still be able to buy a home with a yard and green space within their budget It's so easy. That's literally the definition of affordable. That was a tail end of harper. Things got worse in 2016, they got worse than 2017 and by the end of 2017 it was starting to get to the point where people were starting to say it's not affordable even for average Canadians. And of course it got worse from there as we well know Life was affordable under harper. Even in the middle of the worst recession in 100 years people were able to get by and did well. Cost for climbing but to a degree that's to be expected in the course of a recovery. But things were still affordable Trudeau ran on making sure that they would stay affordable and the people will be able to afford a home and then he completely abandoned that and now you have to be substantially above the average income to be able to reasonably afford a home unless you're gifted one by a parent

  28. I mean, I thought those were obvious enough that I did not have to set them up. But if you need a couple of examples, sure. First, I gave as much evidence as he gave. Everything he said was a straw-man. He provided no examples other than his fabricated scenarios. For example, he said MAGA's response to "he did not get congressional approval for war" is something stupid. I forget what he said. It was lame. But, the actual response I nse from most MAGA is "the POTUS has authority to take swift military action for a set period of time before approval is needed." Of course, that didn't fit his straw-man arguments. Now, the entire video was an ad hominem attacks on anyone that might appreciate a MAGA argument. The assertion here was that MAGA does not debate rationally or have serious opinions and there fore should not be taken seriously because they are all stupid. He wanted to assert that MAGA opinions are not worthy of consideration. So he created a list of accusations, not backed by any substantive or even realistic examples, that render MAGA opinions unworthy of consideration. All the while he accused MAGA of engaging in straw-man, ad hominem, what-about-ism and hypocrisy that just filled his videos. Then he just made up this b.s. about Charlie Kirk being unprepared and never proving a point. Which is ironic because this guy can't even prove his point against the straw-man fallacies he created. Further, Charlie was extremely well prepared. He would quote scripture off the top of his head. He knew studies and would quote them on any topic. He wouldn't just prove his point, he would pick apart the opponents po in it and then prove his point. He did it in a 1 on however many showed up setting. He took on the best of whomever showed up and was pretty much owning them. This guy's is a fake. A wannabe. A loser that can't form a coherent thought against real competition. No wonder @robosmith loves him. Two peas in a pod.

  29. This could be a book. There is only a limited list of weapons (they possess) that haven't been used offensively, such things as prototypes, submarine launched cruise missiles come to mind and there are a few others that I don't think were very practical anyway. Unfortunately, previous misadventure suggests they're a fan of proxy enabled attacks, maybe because it provides a level of deniability to the regime but regardless, it still fits with their rhetoric and it remains a concern because of that. Many analysts share your opinion about defensive intentions and deterrence... they'll suggest that the risk of existential retaliation is sufficient to keep them in check or that political and religious constrains inside Iran would prevail. Personally, I can't get there without choking... you would have to present a clear and compelling case that my fears of premeditated offensive use (by the regime or proxies) are groundless. At best (and I mean best) I would see the deterrent effect of a nuclear arsenal as a green light for orders of magnitude worse behaviour on their part and particularly on the part of aligned proxies. If nothing else, the price they've already paid in developing the capability seems (to me) at odds with a purely defensive ideology.... it's arguably been their undoing. How difficult would it have been for them to be the shining example of a peaceful, moderate and wealthy Islamic state. I think even I could have managed that on their behalf. Never mind Trump, forget about time machines, and simply deal with the present.... how do you square their aggressive rhetoric and litany of past sins with a "peaceful quest" for defensive nuclear weapons and what makes you think the deterrence you say they seek isn't a bridge to even greater mischief on their part. Since you're asking people to accept your opinion on this maybe an explanation of "why the hell would I" is in order...

  30. What's the difference whether it's a detached home, attached, or a condo. If it the price of either has a high price to income ratio it's all the same...your dollars are stretched. If you want to change it from a $1.25M detached to attached/townhomes that benchmark price was $493K which also stretched the buyers dollars, or was purchased as a lower priced more affordable alternative to a detached home. The major, sustained exodus from Metro Vancouver to the Fraser Valley intensified around 2016, driven by peak housing price-to-income ratios and foreign buyer taxes. A significant secondary surge occurred in 2020-2021, when pandemic-driven remote work and record-low mortgage rates led to the busiest sales year in Fraser Valley history. Don't worry little fella I'm not taking shots at your beloved Harper. My point was that Metro Vancouver was unaffordable for many in 2015 and prior, just like it is today, and not entirely Trudeau's fault as you'd believe.

There are any number of words I can use to describe you but the most fitting is...idi0t Detached Bungalows: For those purchasing a benchmark detached bungalow, the cost reached 88.6% of the median pre-tax household income by mid-2015. Standard Two-Storey Homes: The cost to service a standard two-storey home was even higher, estimated at 90.6% of median income. Housing in Vancouver was unaffordable for many under Harper, just as it's unaffordable for many today. You're an idi0t...

  42. I'm always right At least you're learning Funny, that's what the grade seven student said about you! Also stop hanging around with grade seven students, it's creepy No. That is simply not true. The average price of a townhouse was 300 k or so. That is less than 30 percent of the average income. That is by definition affordable. Sowweee, you're just making yourself look stupid.
    -1 points
  43. Your figures are for today not then. I guess that's why you didn't provide a link What was selling for 300 k, as i wrote every single time i posted the number, was a townhouse. You're including multi million dollar luxury mansions in your numbers. That's why you come out looking stupid. The price of a 3 br townhouse in 2015 was about 306 thousand on average. For that you'd get, as i said, a small yard, often a play area for kids and a bunch of greenspace, a sizeable 3 br lr 'basement' home perfect for raising two kids. So if you were in greater vancouver in 2015 you could buy a nice place for your wife and to start your family for about 1600 a month (actual figure posted above). At the time that was quite affordable. That was 30 percent of the average household income. MOST people in 2015 earned that much THEMSELVES, so it was very affordable. Now.... even if the price goes up to 600 grand as it would fairly quickly by 2016, the average wage for full time work was 66k. So that's 132 k per month and that means they can afford about 1900 each or about 3800 in mortgage payments. Which means that two people working could still easily afford a larger home in greater vancouver in 2016. Life was still "affordable". If you were a single person you could get an apartment in greater vancouver for about 377. That's starting to get tight, but is still doabile with the average wage After that.... suddenly it's not affordable in 2017. You have to scrape and push the limits to buy a place on an average income. By 2021 it was out of reach for the average wage earner or average household entirely You're an embarrassment. You can't get a single fact or figure correct and it never even occurred to you but trying to suggest that a price is unaffordable also would require you to post how much money people had. Something I've been doing all along with something that you completely missed You can't even figure out that determining if something is Affordable or not requires taking a look at how much money people would have had at the time. That's how blinded you are by your partisanship and stupidity As I have proven conclusively numerous times now it was quite affordable in 2015 to have somewhere to live, and food prices were much lower in comparison to wages and somewhere most other things. Life was affordable By 2016 that was getting strained but it was still not out of reach By 2017 we started to leave people behind The longer we had the liberals the worst it got and the more they promised to fix it and didn't The liberals made it impossible for average families to be able to live in their own home. This is greatly contributed to the decline in birth rate because the only way to get by now is for both people to be working constantly

  44. A detached house is not a townhouse. DERP!!! UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD A MANSION YOU POOR!! DERP!!! LOL There is no law that says you have to live in a detached house But people could buy a nice townhouse in a nice community for 30 percent of their income or less and that was very affordable LOL dude you're looking more and more pathetic and desperate with each post, You're uttelry wrong here and that's been proven. Nobody has to have a detached home to be able to live affordably. They might well sell their 'starter home' and buy something bigger later and those who did would benefit from increased pricing. But a young person or family could COMFORTABLY afford a nice little home with bedrooms and space for all even in 2015. Townhomes in greater vancouver cost about 300 400 for a nice one and that would be very affordable. Housing in vancouver was ENTIRELY affordable under harper and you're blinded by your hatred and cultism.
